Our MySimtropolis project emphasises this theme, because anyone is welcome to sign up to be included as a MySim immortalized in game.

It was a realy gr8 Idear to create this. In Game Sime are realy helpfull in the Game. To see the same Faces all the Time was boring. And to install "The Sims" wont work... i hate this Game ;-)

The .bmp files must stay inside the MySim folder, because this is the way the game loads them up for each individual Sim for their avatars.

Yes, the .bmp files must be named exactly as they are too, so then they're loaded based on the instructions in the MySim hex coded data we formulate for each update. When a new version of MySimtropolis is released, there is a new zip file package provided with all the MySims included. This allows the entire MySim folder to be cleared and copy in the update files. Or copy in the new files and replace the existing ones inside the MySim folder.

For example:

1. Open the MySim folder.
2. Delete all the files inside it.
3. Download the new MySimtropolis version from the STEX entry (when we release it after other people sign up).
4. Open this up and copy everything inside the included MySim folder into your MySim folder.
5. Say "Yay!" because at this point you're ready to play!

you missunderstand me.

The hole Folder is ~950kb big. And a new File is how big? 50 kb? I would upload only the new BMP instead a new Folder. Traffic is Money.

Each MySimtropolis version is uploaded as a complete package for the convenience of anyone new who wishes to download.

Also a new selection panel preview image is included inside to commemorate everyone who is part of our project. The total size of each package is miniscule, and so there are no issues with site traffic bandwidth. On the STEX entry, the previous versions remain available under the Changelog list for those who might want them instead. It is much easier to provide the zip file with everything inside, because anyone wanting to download all the new MySims can do so. Otherwise people would need to download each new .bmp file individually, along with the central new MySims.dat file.

So while I do now understand your concerns, please be assured there is nothing to worry about.

All sign ups to MySimtropolis remain part of our project, unless for any reason they specify to be removed from the mod.

Thus far no one has requested this to happen, and so as of writing there will still be 151 immortalized members and counting.

Yes, we already added @A Nonny Moose as part of members included in MySimtropolis as a tribute.
