  1. Show us What you're Working On

Looks good. The wall set and the vegetation next to the train line in particular convey the density that necessarily accompanies hillside developments. Am I to guess that those walls are no longer available since SC4 Devotion's catalogue was lost? Also, if I may nitpick, it doesn't make much sense for a pond/lake to be positioned on top of a hill. And churches of that particular vintage were generally built on top of hills, not at the bottom. Looks great though. Good work.

I'm no scientician so I have no idea about seasonal props or anything like that, but I would find ten thousand and one places to use those lots in my cities.

It ain't my city, but imo that beachside avenue needs some green and trees. I'd replace it with one way roads with a strip of green running between them. You could plant whatever beach suitable trees you want on the green (Italian cypress trees, since you've got them near the beach already?) IMO Also I like the obelisk. It suits the surrounding buildings quite nicely.
  4. Greetings friends. I swear that I used to have a lot in my plugins folder which consisted of a 3x3 airport tower which functioned as an airport. It's not there any more. Are there any small lots that operate as functional airports? I've been searching the STEX but everything that I've found is either too large for my small city, or no longer supported.

Lovely. I'll give it a try, thanks.
  6. Hope you're doing well

You're basically building the city from the Futurama exhibit at the 1939 World's Fair, aren't you? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Futurama_(New_York_World's_Fair)

Looks fantastic. What are you using to make the diagonal plazas? And what about the curved plazas? I've been using ploppable dirt to do my curved park paths but evidently there is a better way. Also, can you show us a close up of that section of park in the centre with the palm tree? I've always struggled with green lawns in my parks so I tend to make them very heavy on trees. It looks like you've pulled it off well though, so I'm keen to learn. Here's one of my parks for comparison. It doesn't much compare.

My spiritual recreation of lower Manhattan from the 1920s (with a picture of the inspiration side by side). I hate NYC in real life. It's full of jerks and its crowded. But there is no denying that its appearance in the early 20th century was inspiring. As the narrator in the Ric Burns NYC documentary said: "a ravaging dream city" I'd appreciate tips on where to improve. I think that the Waldorf Astoria (big grey box on the right) needs to be moved more centrally. Or uptown (aka to the adjacent city).

Good Lord! It's real! I've always thought that my cities were attractive. Now I can appreciate their beauty from more than four directions. Outstanding.
  11. 3D Camera DLL for SimCity 4

Good Lord almighty this thing is real. I have been playing this game for just over twenty years and I never thought that we would have a mod that introduces a free camera mode. Now here it is. Game changing. Essential. 10/10.

Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa. Wait. Is this thing for real? I thought this was just an April Fools joke.
  13. This is a wonderful series! I love the names of the towns. But please - some close ups of your main streets please!

To add to this conversation: not only does it grow in low density zones - it grows very frequently in those same zones. I'm not an expert on the mechanics of this game but does it have something to do with the capacity? 500 seems like a large capacity for a 1x2 lot. Was the lot PIM-Xed? If not I wonder if that might explain the imbalance?
