Colossus Addon Mod 3.0 Out Now
carlosmarcelo replied to Ulisse Wolf's topic in SC4 Modding - Open Discussion
That's fine! Thanks! I never used CAM because I thought it made growth slower and more difficult. But now that it has so many added improvements, I'm tempted to start a new plugin folder with it. However, I wouldn't want to use AMPS and the growth controller with more phases. Is it possible to install it without these two features?- 5 Replies

How it's made - AMPS & Energy
carlosmarcelo replied to Ulisse Wolf's topic in SC4 Modding - Open Discussion
I'm sorry about I will say, but since the start of project, I thought the AMPS very complicated to be fun. No doubt is a incredible and fantastic work that done , but, in my humild opinion, it exceed the limit of ultra realism. But, just to reiterate, this is just my preference: I like realism, but I don't like being a professional to make such detailed technical decisions while I'm playing. -

poll SC4 Building Styles Community Vote
carlosmarcelo replied to Ulisse Wolf's topic in SC4 Modding - Open Discussion
In my opinion, this discussion will go on forever because there is a lot of subjectivity in classification. If most city games use "region name + year", it is probably easier for most people to understand or have an idea of what will happen. For me, the best opinion was: Why we need a lot of options? We have 1 or 2 thousand of BATs, but, when we divide in 32 options, we will have less than 1 hundred BATs in each. And I'm thinking in the difficult to choise one good option among many to play or to make a bat. Rememeber of "paradox of choice": the more choices we have, the more paralyzed we become. Well... We've been trying to decide this for many months, that is, we have proof here that the more options, the more we struggle to conclude something. I voted in option A because is more simple to me, what I don't matter about styles details, but, eventually, I like to see modern and new styles of buildings in my city after some years. But, after read @Tyberius06 opinion, I think we need simplify the options to generic definitions. For example: Region Africa America Asia Europa Oceania Eras Prehistory Antiquity Medieval Ages Modern Age Contemporary Futuristic Simple and direct. Anyone looks at it and has an idea of what that style is. -
Happy new year, people! I wish a lot of health and success in your dreams, wishes and realizations, to you and your families. I have a lot of resolutions in RL to next year, but if will be same this year, I already will stay very happy.

Allow More Building Styles - DLL Plugin
carlosmarcelo replied to Null 45's topic in SC4 Modding - Open Discussion
Thanks for answer, null 45 and Cori! I believe that. I will test more in soon... I did all tests in empty zones, starting a city, year 0. To show how were divisions after some years passed, I snapshot or of the zone view or after to pause and to demolish builds. Yes, in my tests, subdivision works well too, but aggregation, not. I will create a small e more simple city to test too. -
A brief analysis of the attributes of health system
carlosmarcelo replied to carlosmarcelo's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
Just curiosity: whats will happen if you add a clinic or hospital in this scenario? I believe that just one clinic or one hospital to increase life expectancy without to increase a lot of health spend. -

It makes sense: my examples was with empty zones. So, we can conclude that options (aggregate and subdivide) works just with growed lots? -
Allow More Building Styles - DLL Plugin
carlosmarcelo replied to Null 45's topic in SC4 Modding - Open Discussion
Thanks for explain and adjust the pt-br file. Now, after of to do my "work" , I could test agregation and subdivision in my test city. In this small city, I have a minimal plugins, without others RCI buildings, there are just maxis standart RCI buildings and When I used this options: I expected the result was not aggregation, preserving divisions, but, the city started like this: It was like this: Image of zone view, with lots agreggated. In the same city restarted, I did other lot subdivions to start: In this tests, I created larger lots. I tested "Disable lot subdivision" alone and this works well, however, when I tested both checked: Not happen subdivision, but happen aggregation: @Null 45 or someone, I understood something wrong or I not knowing how to use something?
