In the edit note they indicate that was a duplicated (double) post. When the site responds slow during the site backup this can happen thru no fault of the person posting. Those who notice often edit the 2nd one as @Valkonig did. It's nothing to worry about and when we staff see those we use our magic powers to remove them. Ofc, since you quoted it, I'll let it stay so your post makes sense.

This happens a couple or three times a month for the spammers who want to sell us flowers or candy or other non-Simtropolis related things. From a member's perspective, you'd see nothing unusual if you went to their profile.

And for spammers we don't go thru any warning steps so that's why it shows zero. As an admin I also have the option to un-ban someone tho that's not used very often at all. Should you want to see it first hand, then sometime when we are both online I could ban you, let you see what that looks like, then restore your status.

Thank you for including me.  I have a problem though:

"Copy entire contents to: C:\Users\UserName\Documents\SimCity 4\MySim"

My file directory only has, "C:\Users\UserName\Documents\SimCity 4"

There is nothing titled "MySim" in the SimCity 4 folder.  I have the SimCity 4.cmg file and 4 folders marked, "Regions, Plugins, HTTPCache & Exception Reports".  That is it.  Pls help.

In your package, you have a MySims_Rulez. Put that in Plugins. The rest of it put with everything you listed. You can make a folder that says MySim or whatever.

So let me get this straight.  The MySims_Rulez (.dat file) is now in the Plugins folder.

I can then add a folder named "MySim" inside the SimCity 4 folder and copy the readme_MySimtropolis_v1.131 into that new folder ... yes??

Not quite when you unzip the file you have downloaded from the STEX, the unzipped MySim folder goes into the SimCity 4 folder (SimCity 4.cmg file and 4 folders marked, "Regions, Plugins, HTTPCache & Exception Reports), the unzipped Locale folder with MySimtropolis Rulez file goes into your Plugins folder and the readme  and picture is just for your information doesn't have to go anywhere

Got a question. I haven't really used the MySims thing since I got it. But I thought of a use for it yesterday. I replaced the MySims avas with historical figure's pics. About 60 of them, anyway. But I can't seem to edit the MySims dat file with the user names. I tried different text editors like Excel and Word but it just screwed up the MySims in the game. Changing the images worked fine. I wont mention who CB and Cori ended up being.   So, is there a way to edit the names permanently, or do I have to do it manually for each city I want them in?

I'm not getting anywhere with that. Spent an hour and about 9 attempts and 9 CTDs. And that was with just one name. Will try again tomorrow.

We figured since being Monday it was the scheduled time for the new release, how you'd prefer to be included than not today. So we've added you in here with having a presumed gender of Male and also the Zodiac sign from your ST join date of July 28th (Leo).

Let us know if you'd like these details changing, and that's an easy correction to make whenever the next scheduled release will take place (at the nearest Monday when the 134th member joins). The same also if you'd like a different Name for your MySim too than your screen name.

I gave a MySim a whirl the other day. They disappear about 5 seconds after I put them in a house. Glad I found out, as it saved me from having to edit 65 names into that hex editor I couldn't get to work. And I deleted the DAMN, SC4 Tool and all the other programs I couldn't get to work. Want a clean, uncluttered, easy-to-navigate menu- don't put anything in plug-ins until you're absolutely ready to use it. Easy peazy. And now I have extra brain cells I can kill off in more enjoyable ways.
