  1. Linbrook Bowling Center

Very cool photo of the neon sign. Is that yours? (I mean the photo, not the sign.)
  2. Pacific Supply

Weathered and distressed just enough. I think maybe appropriate for anytime after WW2, maybe even a bit earlier. Thanks for the big horizontal; it's what industrial areas need.
  3. Paris shops

    Bravo for including a 1x1. Sharp-looking stores.
  4. Small Police Station 2

Beautiful. More art deco is better than less art deco.
  5. A_1P Cable Laying Vessel

Looks cool simply moored at the dock. And the thing about cable is, it corrodes and needs to be replaced, so this vessel's presence is appropriate in almost any harbor or seacoast.
  6. Lasalle-Wacker Building

Always very much appreciate the architectural history you include with your bats.
  7. Hotel Utica

Thanks for this, and check out the hotel lounge, where you can get a frosted mug of Utica Club.
  8. Victorian L1 viaduct sunken rail stations

Great idea for station placement, utilizing viaduct roads for access. Leaves room to bring street cars in close, or subway stations adjacent. Good to see D-man large and in charge again.
  9. AGC - Roman Arch "Arco Modesto" 01

Weathered just enough, with very convincing detail.
  10. The Big I

Nicely detailed roof on that tower. Also, the dependency, "The number of planetariums closer in distance to their subject matter than the one in Big I," would be a perfect Final Jeopardy question. In the form of a question, of course.
  11. Denton Corporation

    Sharp.
  12. Salt and Sand Silo

We have several of these around town, and while ours have a sharper peeked roof, the 3x3 footprint seems just about perfect. The sight of them is both comforting and ominous.
  13. Canton Custom House

Beautifully rendered. Any city with a colonial past could have a building like this.
  14. Plaza-Parks

Found these to be compatible with MGB's sidewalk mods. True, numerals or names cannot be included on the menu icons , but as Butch Cassidy said, "that's a small price to pay for beauty." They are simple and streamlined and you can cherrypick only the ones you like. Well thought out.
  15. Norwegian House Set 2 Remade

You nailed it. E.q., the yellow version stands out, but not too much. These can easily be used in a North American setting.
  16. Planned Parenthood Clinic

Thanks for creating this. Neutral Nimby is great. Hope the Supreme Court doesn't shut you down.
  17. simtropolis Terrible News: Cori has gone

This site has been a refuge from the larger culture of resentment, unreason and disinformation so easily found online. In the last few years I have disassociated myself from Amazon, Facebook and Twitter, et al. I've donated to and remained on simtropolis because of its culture of civility and fun. Ms. Boom is taking an extended LOA. Leave the porch light on for her.
Not to mention, but I will, the Jersey side will be easier to build. From Weehawken, Hoboken, down to Jersey City, the bigger tiles make development feel more, well --- Jerseylike.
  18. I actually like that the concrete texture is "older." Different properties are going to have different levels of upkeep or improvement. Real cities don't always develop in a standardized, homogenized way. Not that we are building "real."
  19. Ukraine Solidarity Obelisk

Thanks for creating this. Mush them huskies.
  20. Queens Industrial Warehouses

Like a film noir movie set. Look great alongside the ABBT Manhattanville buildings.
  21. AGC - Crane Vessel SSCV Thialf

Beautiful work. The seemingly spindly detail on the rigging and crane booms is superb.
  22. AMENDOLA

Your lakeshore inspires me to get serious about my waterfronts, especially with seawalls. The way you built your city suggests the existence of a world beyond it. You have transcended the game itself.
  23. Ground Rail 2 Elevated Rail Transition

17 yrs. later and this is still a useful component.
