History: HMS Devonshire, pennant number 39, was a County-class heavy cruiser of the London sub-class built for the Royal Navy in the late 1920s. The ship spent most of her pre-World War II career assigned to the Mediterranean Fleet aside from a brief tour with the China Station. She spent the first two months of the Second World War in the Mediterranean until she was transferred to the Home Fleet and became flagship of a cruiser squadron. Devonshire took part in the Norwegian Campaign in mid 1940 and evacuated much of the Norwegian Government in June. Several months later, she participated in the Battle of Dakar, a failed attempt to seize the Vichy French colony of Senegal in September. The ship remained in the South Atlantic afterwards and supported Free French efforts to take control of French Equatorial Africa in addition to searching for German commerce raiders. Devonshire returned home in early 1941 and briefly rejoined the Home Fleet, during which time she escorted several aircraft carriers as they attacked German forces in Norway and Finland and covered the first convoy to the Soviet Union. Shortly afterwards, the ship was sent to the South Atlantic where she sank the auxiliary cruiser Atlantis. Devonshire was then assigned to the Eastern Fleet in the Indian Ocean and supported the Allied invasion of Madagascar in mid-1942. She then spent the next year escorting convoys before returning home to begin a lengthy refit. After it was completed in early 1944, the ship escorted various aircraft carriers for the rest of the war as they attacked targets in Norway. Specs: The file contains an 13x2 lot. LAST UPDATED: 16/07/2023 Hiya all together, As some of you may be aware of, I have been into creating BATs for a while now and am currently invested in a major project with @Dreadnought creating historic naval content. Most of my published content is linked to the wind and offshore industry, but I am really impressed by all sorts of vessels and always keen to improve the variety of our offshore content and bring unique additions to the game. I know we have a few people who are interested in this topic as well, and there are some great ships out there by @Barroco Hispano. I decided to start this topic to display some of my work in intermediate creation stages and in angles that would normally not be seen in the ship (and I want to avoid spamming all of you in "Show us what you're working on" with endless pictures of ships ) I would encourage anyone else who is interested in this topic to post suggestions/inquiries/ideas or their own creations on here as well! The range of ships goes from offshore construction vessels over sailboats, submarines to historic battle cruisers. So really everything is welcome here. Also, for myself I will start a register listing all my ships under here CONTENT LIST Historic ships Armoured Cruisers SMS Victoria Louise (1897) SMS Hertha (1897) SMS Freya (1897) SMS Vineta (1897) SMS Hansa (1898) SMS Fürst Bismarck (1897) SMS Prinz Heinrich (1900) SMS Prinz Adalbert (1901) SMS Friedrich Carl (1902) SMS Roon (1903) SMS Yorck (1904) SMS Scharnhorst (1906) SMS Gneisenau (1906) SMS Blücher (1908) Battlecruisers SMS Moltke (1910) SMS Göben (1911) SMS Seydlitz (1912) SMS Hindenburg (1915) Submarines M-class Submarines Type U23 sub U 139 Class Fleet Colliers Prometheus-class Collier (1908) Jupiter-class Collier (1912) USS Vestal (1908) Tug boats Harbour Tugs (Midgard, Asgard, Thor, Odin) Power Tugs (Nordwind, Passat) Deep-sea Salvage Tugs (Langeoog, Spiekeroog) Wheel Tugs (Sophia, Esmeralda, Helena) Sail boats Schooners Sloops Barque (Maria) Brig Clipper (Cutty Sark) Modern era ships SAR cruiser (Ernst-Meier-Hedde) Pilot boat Cable Laying Vessel - CLV Wind Turbine Installation Vessel - WIV (and many more that need to be listed...) I will not post any more than these thumbnail front/side-views of the battleships, since I want their full beauty and detail to be showcased in @Dreadnought CJ! (so you will need to wait for his magnificent work!)

History: Allure of the Seas is an Oasis-class cruise ship owned and operated by Royal Caribbean International. As of 2018, the Oasis class ships were the largest passenger vessels ever in service, and Allure is 50 millimetres (2.0 in) longer than her sister ship Oasis of the Seas, though both were built to the same specifications. Designed under the name "Project Genesis", she was ordered from Aker Finnyards in February 2006 and her construction began at the Perno shipyard, Turku, Finland, in February 2008. She was named in May 2008 after a contest was held to name her and her sister. The keel of Allure of the Seas was laid on 2 December 2008, shortly after the shipyard had been acquired by STX Europe. Upon her launch in November 2009, she became the world's largest passenger ship, taking the place of Oasis of the Seas. She was eclipsed by her sister ship Harmony of the Seas upon its launch in June 2015. Harmony of the Seas has an overall length of 362.12 metres (1,188.1 ft). Specs: The file contains an 6x31 lot (You can put mmp's below the model). Night: It is unlikely that I will add a night version as it would take me days to render. This is the model of a standard pilot boat as operated in wide regions around the world. Pilot boats are used to transfer pilots out to larger vessels when entering or leaving any port or close quarter manoeuvring area (Revierfahrt) like river estuaries, locks and canals. The pilot takes over (or assists) the captain in manoeuvring the ship while in such areas. The local pilot has knowledge about the currents, tides obstacles and other pitfalls that the crew may face while docking or departing. Content There are 3 lot files in this pack, install whichever you like (it is possible to use all 4 files at the same time). · A_1P_Pilot_boat1 Pilot boat - underway (working and bridge lights dim, navigation lights on, personnel on bow) · A_1P_Pilot_boat2 Pilot boat - docked (working lights on, bridge lights on, navigation lights off, personnel on deck, fenders overboard) · A_1P_Pilot_boat3 Pilot boat - hard-to-port (working and bridge lights dim, navigation lights on) · Dependencies · none Instructions Unzip and place in plugin folder, eg.: C:\Users\<USER>\Documents\SimCity 4\Plugins -

This is a wind turbine installation vessel (WIV) used for heavy lift offshore operations such as wind turbine constructions. It has six giant jack mechanics that can lower the jacks to the seabed and lift the vessel out of the water to conduct lifting operations without movement. Therefor these ships are also called jack-up vessel (JUV). The vessel is equipped with several auxiliary cranes and one big 1,200t crane. (source: https://renews.biz/54240/swire-lands-hollandse-kust-turbine-bounty/) Usage in SC4 Due to the size and complexity if this model I could not export it as one building. The bow is the main building and the deck, jacks and other details are props. CONS: This means the props adapt to the elevation of the area they are plopped on and therefor sink to the ocean seabed when plopped on water. I was not able to fix this issue so unfortunately you will have to create a little island 2x7 and plop the vessel on it, afterwards you can lower the edges a little, so the ship appears to be fully in water. Save the game before in case you demolish it or mess it up, you can easily reload. PROS: On the other hand this means you are free to reassemble the lot as you desire and put other components or tools on deck to conduct offshore operations 😉 Content This File contains several props and 3 lots: • A_1P_WindTurbineInstallationVessel • A_1P_TransitionPiece • A_1P_MonoPile Dependencies • A_1P WindIndustry Port Pack-1.1 • A_1P_120_SimWorkers_1.1 (New fot WIV update 1.3) • A_1P SimWorkers_3 (New fot WIV update 1.3) • Recommended: SM2 Mega Prop Pack Vol1 A water ploppable lot with an installed monopile and transition piece are also included in the package to bring a few more construction phases to your windfarm project. These two components make the foundation of a wind turbine (there are others as well like tripod-jacks, etc...) and are usually installed in a campaign run before the turbine installation phase. Details and Comments This section is addressed to people with nautical and technical interest and holds no important information about the usage or functionality of the pack. Work Lighting Since the main deck and all the structures are individual props the work lighting could not be rendered on deck and it does not look too good. Apologies for that… Navigation Lighting and Signals I lit up the navigation lighting (Stbd, Port and top lantern) which would normally be lit up while being under ways and switched off when being stationary (jacked up) or docked in port. At the same time, I displayed three balls at hoist in the signal mast, which means the vessel is aground and not moving (like digging work vessels or jack up vessels). Aviation lights on the helo-deck and warning beacons on the jacks and crane boom top are in place. (this is lighting scenario is a bit contrary) Finally, I tried to light up the deck with working lights as much as possible, which would also be turned off while under ways. So there is not too much realism here, I just wanted to play around a bit and add some details. (more info on that can be found here) The bridge however remains dark, as any proper bridge does at night 😉 Load-out On deck you can see two rotor blade sets, two towers (consisting of base, mid and top section), two preassembled wind turbine nacelles and two hubs. These components are assembled on preinstalled transition pieces in the wind farm. Once completed the WIV either proceeds back to port to load components for the next turbines or receives them at sea by a supply barge.- 14 Comments

History The ships were designed as scout cruisers (esploratori), essentially enlarged versions of contemporary destroyers. They were initially ordered in 1917, but postponed due to steel shortages, and re-ordered in 1920.[1] They had an overall length of 113.41 meters (372 ft), a beam of 10.36 meters (34 ft) and a mean draft of 3.1 meters (10 ft 2 in).[2] They displaced 2,195 long tons (2,230 t) at standard load, and 2,289 long tons (2,330 t) at deep load. Their complement was 10 officers and 194 enlisted men.[1] The Leones were powered by two Parsons geared steam turbines, each driving one propeller shaft using steam supplied by four Yarrow boilers. The turbines were rated at 42,000 shaft horsepower (31,000 kW) for a speed of 33 knots (61 km/h; 38 mph) in service, although all of the ships exceeded that speed during their sea trials.[1] The ships carried 393 long tons (399 t) of fuel oil[2] that gave them a range of 2,000 nautical miles (3,700 km; 2,300 mi) at a speed of 15 knots (28 km/h; 17 mph).[1] Their main battery consisted of eight 120-millimeter (4.7 in) guns in four twin-gun turrets, one each fore and aft of the superstructure and the remaining turrets positioned between the funnels and the torpedo tube mounts amidships.[3] Anti-aircraft (AA) defense for the Leone-class ships was provided by a pair of 76 mm (3 in) AA guns in single mounts amidships. They were equipped with six 450-millimeter (17.7 in) torpedo tubes in two triple mounts. The Leones could also carry 60 mines.[1] Specs: The file contains an 8x1 lot. History TSS Lorina was a passenger vessel built for the London and South Western Railway in 1918.
