Welcome to the Nex-gen Energy Operating System (NEON) - Development and Support Please post your questions concerning issues with or the usage of the newest version of the Colossus Addon Mod (CAM) and its features here. The newest version of the Nex-gen Energy Operating System (NEON) (NEON 0.1.0), is now available on the STEX and the SC4E. For additional information or to ask questions about new features, check out the CAM 3.0 topic here. It should be noted that the only supported installation procedure is SC4Pac, which allows you to automatically install components and perform updates and maintenance automatically. It should be noted that any previous NEON installation should be completely removed from the game's Plugins folders before installing any new NEON version. This does not occur during the installation process but needs to be done manually. ROADMAP 0.1.0 -> Initial release. Support is limited to Maxis buildings and certain buildings compatible with NEON specifications. Statistical balancing 0.2.0 -> Update on coal, oil, and natural gas power plants. New power plants meeting the NEON specifications will be added 0.3.0 -> Upgrading transformers, batteries, and offices to meet NEON specifications. 0.4.0 -> Solar, Wind, and Geothermal Update. New power plants meeting the NEON specifications will be added 0.5.0 -> Update on Tidal Power and Hydroelectric Power 0.6.0 -> Update for the simulation of energy transmission on the railway ( An attempt will be made) 0.7.0 -> Nuclear Fission Update 0.8.0 -> Nuclear Fusion and ControlNet Update 0.9.0 -> Microwave Update and Finalization of Documentation 1.0.0 -> Final version Post 1.0.0 -> Maintenance and inclusion of other NEON-compatible mods released after the final version was published KNOWN ISSUES The “Funding-Based Capacity” entry is broken The Goofy stats are broken DOWNLOAD-

Colossus Addon Mod - Nex-gen Energy Operating System (NEON) is the mod that revolutionizes energy gameplay by introducing mechanics that simulate the management of a power grid. Originally created as a spin-off of AMPS (Allied Municipal Power of Simtropolis), the mod underwent a code overhaul to incorporate new features using Mod DLLs and a reorganization of the power plants The mod was developed by the various members of the CAM Team who over time have brought modifications to improve this mod Please note that this pack may receive updates in the near future. Do not redistribute without asking first, mostly as doing so would complicate efforts to properly maintain, update, and provide technical support for the pack. WARNING: From version 2.5 onward Colossus Addon Mod works only with the digital version (1.1.641) of SimCity 4 (Microsfot Windows and Linux only). If you run CAM 2.5 or later on systems other than those listed, the mod may malfunction and no support is provided. Installation This package is a simple .zip file. Just extract the a_CAM folder to your My Documents\SimCity 4\Plugins directory (or equivalent, if you have a custom Plugins folder location). It is highly recommended to run the cleanitol with the installer and remove any previous versions from your plugins. Optionally in the ~Documents folder in the main ZIP you can find a collective/master and by using either the newer nos.17's SC4 Cleanitol or the older BSC Cleanitol tool you can search and remove old and outdated versions of these files. DLL Dependencies In order for the contents of this package to display correctly by taking advantage of the new DLL Mods requires the complete installation of the following dependencies(the below listed dependencies are covering a full install; for dependencies for individual collections see the list of contents section): Submenu DLL - this file is needed to run the submenus Compatible only with the digital version (1.1.641) of SimCity 4 (Microsfot Windows and Linux only). Query Tool UI Extensions DLL for SimCity 4 - This file is necessary for the correct functioning of the queries Compatible only with the digital version (1.1.641) of SimCity 4 (Microsfot Windows and Linux only). Lua Extensions DLL - This file is necessary for the correct functioning of LUA Compatible only with the digital version (1.1.641) of SimCity 4 (Microsfot Windows and Linux only). Lua Sandbox DLL - This file is required to ensure greater security when running LUA scripts Compatible only with the digital version (1.1.641) of SimCity 4 (Microsfot Windows and Linux only). Resource Loading Hooks DLL - this file is needed to run the Exemplar Patch Compatible only with the digital version (1.1.641) of SimCity 4 (Microsfot Windows and Linux only). Since 1958, Linbrook Bowling in Anaheim has been in business open 24 hours with 40 lanes as the old neon sign out front says. A 4x3 lot, I wasn't sure if it should be CS$ or CS$$, I went with CS$ in the end. This is smaller than the actual building which would probably be 4 or 5 tiles wide at least if it were accurate to the real life counterpart, not to mention the parking lot would probably make this something like 8x5 which was way bigger than I wanted a bowling alley to be. This also meant I had to abbreviate the front sign from 'Linbrook Bowl' to simply 'Bowl'. The neon sign is a prop included in the download.- 6 Comments

Party Lights Road, Avenue and Pedestrian Lane Canopies, by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- One of the things that is quite difficult to achieve in SC4 is roads and areas of a city tile that convey a 'sense of place'. In almost all cities and large towns the main shopping streets, cultural precincts and prominent thoroughfares usually have their own immediately recognisable style; whether it is from architecture or street trees and street furniture. That is the genesis behind this series of canopies: to denote a stronger sense of place at street level while being functional. This fourth set of canopies copies a real world design. Redolent of flags, these colourful neon tubes are arranged on steel supports, while central planters contain evergreen trees bejeweled in fairy lights. At ground level, bollards add to the bright spectacle. These certainly make a statement at night and are great for shopping districts, entertainment areas or night club precincts. There are 3 lots in this download, and each is functional. * A road-top bus stop. This lot occupies a 1x1 tile and is overhanging so that canopies can be placed adjacent to eachother all along the roadway; * An avenue-top bus stop. This lot occupies a 2x1 tile and is overhanging so that canopies can be placed adjacent to eachother all along the avenue; * A functional pedestrian-only laneway. This lot is 1x4 tiles long and must be joined to the road/street network and/or the NAM ped-mall pieces. --------------------------------------- IT IS IMPORTANT TO TAKE NOTE OF THE FOLLOWING POINTS: * While road-top/avenue-top bus stops can be safely placed next to a commercial building without any issues, they cannot be placed adjacent to a residential lot or you will get a no-car-zot. This is limitation of the game and I cannot do anything about this. The exception to this rule is where the residential lot is wider than the road-top bus stop: so for instance, if you place a 1x1 road-top bus stop next to a 4x4 apartment block, the apartment block will be fine, but if it is next to a 1x2 row house, then the row house will abandon because of no car access. * The functional pedestrian laneway is NOT a ped-mall; it is simply a pedestrian enabled lot. If you connect two of these lots directly together, SIMs will be unlikely to cross them (that is why a ped-mall piece is used to connect lots). --------------------------------------- The bus stops are found in the misc transit menu and have a capacity of 50,000 (and support all types of vehicles: pedestrian, bus, car, freight). Bonfolk Hosiery Factory by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- This building is inspired by one in Troy, NY. These sorts of monumental and solidly constructed brick factories were common-place in the early 20th Century. While most were torn down from about 1970, some still remain either as abandoned relics or as converted commercial/residential spaces. In SC4, I have made this building house a hosiery factory, which among other things, makes socks. A large neon sign lends a retro vibe to the building. The factory is offered as an I-M growable Anchor and comes in two lot sizes: 5x5 and 3x4 (use the CTRL key when zoning). It is suited to CAM and non-CAM cities alike and provides 354 jobs. NYBT ABBT The Studebaker building The Studebaker building was built in the 20's as a dealership warehouse for than Studebaker car manufacturer. Over the years it served many different owners. Today it is a part of Columbia University campus expansion project in Manhattanville and will be the one of two buildings preserved. Manhattanville Project is the effort of the ABBT, group of BATters, in recreating Manhattan's neighborhood of Manhattanville. The Studebaker building is a part of it.
