Finally, I made a BAT with BAT4Blender! Thank you to those who made BAT4Blender and everyone who helped my BAT making. 👍 This is my 4th BAT. This is a building that I designed myself inspired by the Beaux Arts buildings in North America. This Pawia Trade Center lot was made by @Kacperrr and was originally uploaded to http://www.simcitypolska.pl/, which is sadly no longer existing and this upload hasn't been available according to my best knowladge since then. Please note with the permission of the Simtropolis Staff Members (Cyclone Boom and CorinaMarie), this file has been uploaded on behalf of Kacper. It was not available anymore due to the unfortunate demise of the SC4 Polska site. The model and the lots originally were created by Kacper, but during the restoration attemp they have received an update with the X-Tool (SC4 PIM-X) by the STEX Custodian/Tyberius06. The upload contains the building model, a growable stage 7 Cs$$$ and a plopable Co$$$ LOT (both of them updated by X-Tool). Before installing, please, check the attached cleanitol_PGB KCP Pawia Trade Center.txt file and if you happen to have the listed files anywhere in your plugins, please remove them. Installation: Unzip the whole bundle, or COPY the "PGB" parent folder from the *.zip into your plugin folder. You don't need to keep the "_Documents" folder in your Plugins, best if you remove it somewhere safe outside of your plugins. This is a relot and repurposing of Pegasus' Chicken Ranch. Pegasus' lovely model here comes as the "White Lodge", a stylish club with al fresco dining. The Oi Kwan Hotel or Aiqun Hotel (Chinese: 爱群大酒店) is a hotel in Art Deco style in Guangzhou, China. Here's a fractional angle FA-3 building for your cities. It fits on the first of the 3 FA3 positions on one mirror only (see screenshots). Brentwood Savings, by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- Another mid-century mid-rise from Los Angeles, Brentwood Savings and Loans was situated on San Vicente Blvd. This 7 floor building, constructed in the early 1960's, still stands today, although the concrete panels have all been painted and it is now named the Comercia Bank. Typical of the mid-century design, the main tower part of the building sits atop a wider podium level with exposed columns at both transition areas to lend a 'lightness' of construction quality to the design. Another piece in the playbook of modernist style is the wall sculpture that adorns the main entrance. Vertical fins and rounded, recessed window concrete panels give a nod to the brutalist (brutalist meaning 'béton brut' as opposed to 'brutal'). I have taken some liberties with the building; dispensing with the joined car-park and interlocking courtyards to ensure that this will fit on a smaller sized lot. NAB Hobart, by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- A request from a fellow SC4 player, NAB Hobart is a slim-line 14 floor mid-rise (or high-rise depending on your point of view) mid-twentieth century building from downtown Hobart, Australia. So typical of the mid-century design, the main tower part of the building sits atop a wider podium level with exposed columns at both transition areas to lend a 'lightness' of contruction quality to the design. Another piece in the playbook of modernist style is the wall sculpture that adorns the main entrance. Vertical concrete and metal fins help visually lengthen the building. I have taken some liberties with the building. Most notably, in real life the large blank wall area of the tower actually faces the street and the windowed wall faces other builidngs. I found that highly peculiar, so swapped that odd detail around to make this a much more traditional W2W building. Shiseido Tokyo, by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- This is a large Wall to wall (W2W) building in Tokyo's Ginza district that caught my eye. This prominent flagship retailer makes the perfect candidate for a CS§§§ building to help soak up the insatiable demand that SC4 has for Commercial Services. I liked the delicate metal mesh facade that gives a jewel-like, glomesh appearance to the building. Also, the small upper window punctuation which is carried through the roof and the inner 12th floor courtyard enables you to see through the building to the street below, which is something a little different for what was otherwise churlishly described by one so-called 'batter' as a "simple square cardboard box". Notably for western city builders, I have pared back any overtly Japanese imagery to ensure that this building will work equally well in either an Eastern or a Western styled city. In the real building, the party walls are blank, but I have included windows in this version to enable the building to work well in either a W2W streetscape or in a more open downtown environment where you don't want to see a big blank wall! At 12 floors, this will still blend in with older, traditional streetscapes (as per the pictures which show a variety of new and old BATs) and is offered as a growable 2x2 lot zoned medium and high density zones. GAP Tokyo, by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- This is a large Wall to wall (W2W) building from the main shopping street in Tokyo's Ginza district that caught my eye. This prominent flagship retailer makes the perfect candidate for a CS§§§ building to help soak up the insatiable demand that SC4 has for Commercial Services. I liked the blue coloured glass surrounding the main entrance and the uniquely delicate, and complex, metal screen that has been applied to the exterior facade. I took liberties with this mesh to give it a more sweeping and organic appearance, so it is not a strict recreation but is a recognisable interpretation. Likening me to a child, this model was described by one 'batter' as a "simple square cardboard box" as opposed to his "heavy industrial equipment". And just like watching amateur hour, I had a really good laugh at (not with) that, enough to actually include it in the descriptive text for this download. Notably for western city builders, I have pared back any overtly Japanese imagery to ensure that this building will work equally well in either an Eastern or a Western styled city. In the real building, the party walls are blank, but I have included windows in this version to enable the building to work well in either a W2W streetscape or in a more open downtown environment where you don't want to see a big blank wall! At 13 floors, this will still blend in with older, traditional streetscapes (as per the pictures which show a variety of new and old BATs) and is offered as a growable 2x2 lot for both corners zoned medium and high density zones. Excelsior Hotel, by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- This is a purely fictional mid-rise, medium density hotel. Inspired by the zipper-like balcony detailing on the Watergate hotel in Washington, I made this after learning of Donald Trump's impeachment in the lower house. The Watergate scandal saw Nixon leave the white house, and I couldn't help but see the irony of the prominent zipper-like detailing along the balconies of the real Watergate hotel and the multitude of lies covered up in politics (a truth universal; regardless of which party you follow). Hence the excelsior hotel was born. This hotel has 15 floors and a stepped, art-deco inspired design. It grows on a 3x4 or 4x3 lot, with a different rotation to provide some variety to the street-scape. Restaurants and bars on the 11th and 13th floors provide outdoor dining for hotel guests and the public.
