This is a map based off the Indonesian regional capital of Bengkulu. 100% vanilla compatible. Accurate to around 50 meters. Rivers have been slightly exaggerated for gameplay. Large, flat areas allow for large city expansion in the east with large, mountainous terrain for adventurous builders in the west. Area placement for tiles have been carefully calculated to make sure most tiles have rivers and other bodies of water towards the center of the tile. Some tiles break this rule, but all land tiles should still be easy to build on. Two maps available: Barren - For players who want a clean slate or have a slower PC Vegetation - For players wanting trees and have a stronger PC 8x8 large tiles totaling 1024 km2. Large enough for a multiyear or long play region. Below is an image showcasing the tiles: -

This 36x24 map is central Panama w/ Panama City low on the right side. It's the thinnest part of Panama so I thought, 'hey throw the whole thing in!'. The canal waterway is present, some marshy land isn't. I flattened out most of the marsh which renders as wet sand on the land. Much of the flattest land here is less than one meter above sea level so I took it upon myself to 'fix' it. All tiles are large city tiles. I used ReShade in the pics to show detail. To install, simply unzip to: C:\USER\Documents\SimCity 4\Regions and load the game. There's no need for 3rd party software to play the region. Please enjoy!!-

This is quite a large map. I had to take several photos because it wouldn't fit on my screen. I included two zip files. One for render in the game and one to import through SC4 Mapper. It has lots of different terrain so plan for lots of tunnel and bridges. Please comment so I know how to improve on the next maps I create. I hope you enjoy. -

San Francisco (Maxis) Complete Region - Large Tiles

The Maxis San Francisco region rendered in ready-to-use form in a Large tile configuration. Originally Maxis made the regions to have few (or no) Large sized tiles due to performance considerations. By popular demand and from what @ASV7900 specifically requested, here is the San Francisco region in an expanded tile layout. This allows more freedom to build on the terrain over a larger area at once. Each tile has been saved with vanilla Plugins to update the tile appearance in the region view to be consistent with how Maxis created them originally. All cities have also been paused for convenience. Two Versions Option A - San Francisco (Upscaled All Large) 4 x 4 region formed of 16 Large tiles in total. For this version, the region area has been enlarged in scale to a 16 Large tile layout. To make this possible, the terrain has been upscaled from the original, making it slightly proportionally larger in size. Preview pic (from Mapper): To represent this difference, here's a comparison using the upper left corner: (Before / After: Click to flick between and compare the terrain scaling.) Option B - San Francisco (New Layout) This version has a custom configuration, while retaining the original map size. The aim is to emphasise the Bay Area to maximise Large tiles where the main urban areas are in reality. The design of this layout also optimises the potential placement of bridges, including the famous Golden Gate which can connect in the northwestern Large tile. This gives more options for where you may wish to construct bridges between tiles. The terrain is unmodified from the original map with no development. Preview pic (from Mapper): Installation Copy either folder into your Regions folder: Documents\SimCity 4\Regions Both regions can be installed without conflict, and even in addition to the Maxis original. Renaming (Optional) It isn't necessary, but you may wish to rename either region. This can be worth doing if wanting the name to simply be San Francisco instead of with the descriptive parts in both names. To do this: With the game closed, open the region.ini file with Notepad (or any text editor). Change the name to whatever you'd like it to be instead. For example: Name = San Francisco Save the file and then the name will be updated when reloading the game Also in this Maxis Maps series Here are the other 4 Maxis regions I've uploaded along the same theme: Berlin Fairview Kanto Tokai London Special Thanks As ever, I dearly appreciate @CorinaMarie helping me with a few ideas for these region releases, inspired by her Maxis New York 4x4 upload. Cori also kindly helped share the workload with me for saving each tile with a vanilla Plugins folder to update the terrain from the Mapper color scheme, and to pause each city tile. And of course, to Maxis for creating these regions for us mayors to enjoy, even all these years later.- 3 Comments

Per @muddi's request, here is the original Maxis New York region, but set to 4 x 4 large city tiles. It is a replacement for the existing region. If you have the original New York folder in your Documents\SimCity 4\Regions folder, move it out to somewhere else. Then copy the New York folder from the .zip into your regions folder. -

Use SC4MAPPER to import into the game Region size: 100x176 small tiles (25x44 large tiles) Thailand is a Southeast Asian country. It's known for tropical beaches, opulent royal palaces, ancient ruins and ornate temples displaying figures of Buddha. In Bangkok, the capital, an ultramodern cityscape rises next to quiet canalside communities and the iconic temples of Wat Arun, Wat Pho and the Emerald Buddha Temple (Wat Phra Kaew). Nearby beach resorts include bustling Pattaya and fashionable Hua Hin. Included is a map of all the provinces overlaid on the region map. -
Hiya Experts of BAT, I have a question about rendering big size model, I wanted to see the effect of it in game, then i rendered it with SD, its dimension is 10x8, then i realized it's too small compares with others after plopped it. Then i changed the size to 20x16, it's ok when i export the LOD from 3ds max, but when i did the exporting in GMAX, it just got stuck in the first view and then popped up a message of Export Failed, error 6. Then i remembered someone has said somewhere that gmax has limitation on how big the LOD can be, and it's because of 2 hex digits of Instance ID, (dimly remember that it's 16² = 256 pieces of FSH). Then i tried to customize the LODs, since i thought it would save some pieces, But no luck. Then i was aware that i have to slice this building (LODs)to pieces, Maybe 4 is ok, but i have no experience on this, My thought is since one Lot could only has one building, so i'd better have a dummy building Lot, and then render this model to 4 Props (PIMX) , and then Align them in LotEditor. If so, My question is how to render this model to 4 pieces? I have made a custom LOD, ①Can i use the quick slice to cut it and detach them separately? ②Is it right that i keep the pivot of each pieces same as the original model or LOD so they looks like overhangs? ③Do i need to cap or seal the hole of LOD i sliced? ④Do i need to slice the model itself? (i guess not) ⑤And what's the limit of HD rendering? Really appreciate any tips or links or tutorials, Thank you!! Sincerely, -- Raymond

Good evening everyone. I'm sorry for my English. I wanted to know if there is a map or terrain on which to start building larger than the game has. Thank you all.

I am doing some seasonal work at the Target distribution center. It is, as near as I can determine, 1.5 million square feet, and a reasonable guess at the dimensions of the building is 1000 x1500 feet, which if my calculations are correct, is 300 x 450 meters for the building. If a strip that is 20 meters wide for the employee/truck parking lot is added, that is 340 x 490 meters for the entire lot. Dividing each of those numbers by 16 (which I think is how many meters are in each SC4 square gives 22 x 31 squares, which is approximately as big as the international airport (35 x 15 if I counted correctly), which I believe is the biggest structure in the unmodded game. I looked a bit in at what is in the STEX and there are warehouse mods available, and I think there are some warehouses in the unmoded game, but none, at least that I can find, that are anywhere that big. The ones that I found were somewhere around 6 x 6 or so. If I (or, better yet, someone who actually knows how) were to make a mod of this distribution center, would it be scaled to perhaps 1/4 of the size I calculated (6 x 7) to better fit with the size of the other buildings? I think that a single business (or should that be classified as industry) that is that large ( 22 x 31) would look out of place in this game. Brian Christiansen

Modern Hospital, by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- This is a purely fictional larger style hospital. This building houses an emergency department, surgery, pathology, outpatient and other clinical facilities typically associated with purpose built hospitals. Curiously, in SC4 hospitals take up a very small footprint, so in reality, this would be a small to medium sized hospital, but to accurately replicate real-life arrangements would take well over 30 tiles width and depth! There is a real lack of large-scale medical facilities in SC4. Hopefully this goes some way to addressing that gap. The patient- (up to 32,000) and jobs provided- (up to 6,100) capacities are also very large to reflect the real estate that this building takes up. There is a helipad built into the hospital. The helicopter on that helipad is not functional. The lots however do count towards the medical helicopter mission in the UDI. I have deliberately avoided using the in-game helicopter tag automata as this casts a strange and terrible shadow across everything and UDI is not something I typically use at all. This means that if you use the UDI function, you will notice that the helicopter may hover above the hospital trying to land for an extended period of time after the mission is completed. If this is likely to bug you, simply remove the occupant group 0x0000151A in the reader or add the helicopter tag in the Lot Editor (ensure that all instances of the hospital are bulldozed prior to making these changes). However, if like me, you don't use the medical helicopter UDI mission, you will never, ever see any of this at all and the previous paragraph can safely be ignored . The lot comes in two flavours: a 10x10 lot with parking spaces suitable for a more "suburban" set-up and a 7x6 lot without parking that is suitable for a more dense urban area (if you use the 7x6 lot, simply place one of the ingame or many custom garages to simulate parking). You can use both lots simultaneously and do not need to choose one over the other. Both lots have identical stats. Each lot has a different query and menu icon to enable ease of selection and are found adjacent to each other in the health menu. --------------------------------------- STATS MEDICAL CENTER: Lot Size: 7x6 and 10x10 Occupant Groups: Civic, Health, Large Health (Medical Helicopter),Strikeable Health, Hospital, Ambulance Maker, Crowd White Coat Plop Cost: § 7,400 Jobs: Jobs§ 1,200; Jobs§§ 3,600; Jobs§§§ 1,300 Buldoze Cost: § 700 Power Consumption: 120 MWh Water Consumption: 250 Gal/month Pollution: 3 (Air)/ 2 (Water)/ 1 (Garbage ) Pollution Radius: 3/4/0 Hospital Coverage Radius: 2,440 (153 tiles) Hospital Population vs. Distance: 100 / 100 Hospital Effectiveness vs. Average Age: 8 / 8 Hospital Patient Capacity: 32,000 Hospital HQ Boost: 11.52 Budget Item Cost: § 2,400 / § 400 --------------------------------------- NOTE ABOUT DARK NITE vs MAXIS NITE: There are two model files in this download. You must select the appropriate file from the download. The file suffixed with 'DN' is for those users with a night-time darkening mod installed. The file suffixed with 'MN' is for users who do not have any such mods installed. If you are unsure whether you have a night-darkening mod installed, then choose the Maxis night version. If you use the dark nite version, you will need a dark nite mod. This is a large industrial BAT by GaryReggae originally released in 2005 titled "Print Works." That file is unfortunately no longer accessible on the STEX. I have uploaded this file from my archives with the permission of @CorinaMarie. I've readjusted a few of the original building stats that were far too unbalanced. They should now fall in line with other industrial buildings of this size. The building grows on high density and providing I-M 850 jobs. It sits on a 6x5 plot. Dependencies There are no dependencies. - KOSC- 4 Reviews

Papua New Guinea, in the southwestern Pacific, encompasses the eastern half of New Guinea and its offshore islands. A country of immense cultural and biological diversity, it’s known for its beaches and coral reefs. Inland are active volcanoes, granite Mt. Wilhelm, dense rainforest and hiking routes like the Kokoda Trail. There are also traditional tribal villages, many with their own languages. This is part of a 2 piece series of either halves of New Guinea This map is at a scale of 1:10, and its still pretty big, infact, this is the biggest map i've made, and probably will make Disclaimer: The eastern part of New Britain cant be seen (on my PC atleast) so no Rabaul However i will make up to this with a possible map of the Bismarck Archipelago -

I admit that this region isn't the best it could be, I got sick in the middle of doing it. Some areas are of questionable quality but overall its decent (I guess). CONTENTS 1 very wonky United States complete with nice spots to recreate major cities such as New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami, and of course, Tulsa. SUGGESTIONS Use SC4 Mapper or something similar to use this SC4M file. Recreate Tulsa Do it Recreate Tulsa -

This lot uses the maximum number of props allowed on a lot. The props are listed as: LotConfigPropertyLotObjectData, starting with 0x88EDC900 and ending with 0x88EDCDFF for a total of 1,280 props. Source: SC4 Devotion Forum The included road and parking overlay textures are the same as in my recently updated Quantum Dish download which has another version of the 3x3 Roundabout. If both are used then delete one or the other file named 'OverlayTexturesCivics_Network.dat'. The overlays may be used freely as long as a message to delete multiples of the same .dat file is included. EDIT NOTE: All the network connections are for 'streets' (in gray) so you have to drag a street from the lot edge. If you surround the lot with 'roads' (in black) they won't automatically connect and you can't drag roads out from the edge. The Llama Reserve and Nature Park An 11x13 lot with Maxis animal animations of llamas, cows, horses, giraffes, bucks and pigeons (which rarely appear, if at all). High park effect in local area. Minimal pollution. Network and transit enabled. Uses 200 mwh of power. The Llama Statue Roundabout A 3x3 lot with a llama statue built from the Maxis rock props. This lot uses my road overlay textures to create a roundabout connected on each side to the network. High landmark effect. Minimal pollution. The domestic llama statue was modelled from a picture by Kim Foster and is included under the Creative Commons Attribution 2 Generic License. Source: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Domestic_llama_(2009-05-19).jpg Install: To install delete Previews and text files, place the 'Llama Reserve Nature Park V1' folder in your 'user documents/ SimCity 4/ plugins' folder. NO DEPENDENCIES For further enjoyment of the Maxis Llama Theme: Using the standard cheats you can change the advisers to Llama heads. DollyLlama changes the faces of the advisers to llamas. Press CTRL + X to open the standard cheat window, then enter DollyLlama. The Llamas may not appear immediately, so click out and back in to the adviser menu to see them.
