  5. Kazuki's Underbridge Lots

    Version 1.0.0

    117 Downloads

Please note that this upload is not mine, all the works in this download were created by Kazuki which were originally hosted here. Since those files are no longer available, they have been recovered here on the STEX, so people can continue to download them. This package is designed so you can place transport networks under the in-game bridges. To do this these lots use Car --> Subway or Rail --> Subway transit switches. As such, there are some limitations when using them. For road networks, only car traffic is able to use them and for the rail network, only passenger traffic will continue through these lots. Two sets are included, the actual underbridge pieces in addition to filler lots. This will enable these to span larger gaps where necessary. After plopping these pieces, they must be connected using the Subway tool between each converter lot. DEPENDENCIES BSC Textures Vol03 Note: the readme states "BSC Texture Pack jeroni Vol01", but this file has been merged into the Texture Megapack linked here.

It costs $400 to plop and can be found in the Misc Transport menu. DEPENDENCIES The model used is part of the NAM, which can be considered a dependency for this lot. 10. East Enokido Rail Line

    • Update #4 || East Enokido Rail Line • ############################################################################## • Enokido is a town located between the bay of Saitama and the mountains of Handa. Enokido is a town with around 120.000 inhabitants and it is part of the metropolitan area of Saitama. Today we will visit the East part of Enokido which is mostly a residential zone • • There are two rail lines going through Enokido. One goes through the center of Enokido and the other one goes through the East part of Enokido. Today we will visit the "East Enokido Rail line" which has some interesting views of this part of Enokido • • The rail lines run along the Kasumori canal. This canal is used to supply water to this part of Saitama which has a great number of rice fields. As you can see the Kasumori canal is very close to the railways • • As I said, East Enokido is mostly a residential zone and not just that, Enokido is a old town and some parts still has the old Japanese architecture style, from the train you can see a lot of these houses, they are made in wood • • The Enokido rail yard is located here. There are coming trains from the south part of Saitama, in this part of Saitama there are a lot of villages and towns and this rail yard serves to all those trains which are operating in this zone of Saitama • • At the end of the railyard there is also a freight train station. As you can imagine, this station is very important for Enokido and also for Saitama and its production • • Here in this picture you can see one of the symbols of Saitama, in most of the villages you can find one of those water towers. They were built for a company from Dresden. (BIG THANKS takemethere) • • "DIN DON" Welcome to "Jr Enokido East" station, as always the train is on time • • During the night the trains are still running through the East of this fantastic Japanese town. 11. I am so sorry that I haven't been posting recently. My last update was in March, right before April, the start of my College years. Since then, it has been much harder to find a proper balance between school and SimCity 4. But anyway, I have been working on a little something, and I think it would be good to show you. But before that, I must reply to the comments: REPLIES: Tonraq: Thank you for telling me that. It really is great advice for one who is going into new environment with all sorts of new things. jmsepe: Thank you for commenting. Ultimate727: I know! It seems like they're coming like, every day now! tankmank: Thank you for your comment and for your sympathy for the people of Tagawa. kschmidt: Thank you for your comment. Kim Sunwoo: I know, right? Hopefully, I'll be able to get the next update down soon and be able to deliver a proper update. Thank you for viewing and Sayonara! Comment, and feel free to ask about where I got the mods from! I would also appreciate negative criticism. If there is something you don't like, or something you think that I am doing wrong, please tell.
  12. Hatsukaichi - Aerial View

    • Update #6 || Hatsukaichi - Aerial View • ############################################################################## • Today we are flying around the coast of Saitama, more specifically, we are flying over the pretty village of Hatsukaichi. Its population is about 20,000 inhabitants, once again fishing is the main resource here, so most of the shoreline of this place is dedicated to fishing- The village has two ports; One is more focused in export sea products around the bay of Saitama, the other one works as local port and just small boats can be found there. Today we are just going to take a first look from the air and in the next few days we will come a little closer to know more about this wonderful place called Hatsukaichi, another port - village located in the bay of Saitama • • Here you can see a perfect aerial view of the two ports in Hatsukaichi • • The old and small port is not deep enough for the modern boats, just the locals are using that port • • It is a typical fishing port here in the Prefecture of Saitama • • To end this visit, I want to share with you this beautiful postcard from Hatsukaichi • ############################################################################## Greetings / Saludos / Groeten # Jonathan.
  13. Welcome to everyone to the first update of my new region. (In the last years I saw a lot of people trying to create a asian/japanese themed cities. I must share my opinion about this. Even if I like the pictures I don't share the ideas or the realism of their regions. I've been working with the Japanese style since the begining of my history in this game and after a lot of years, projects and a long list of regions and cities I think that finally I got a good result, it is at least realistic in terms of realism)
  14. This entry would be the first of 3 part of update 24. I got total 88 images for this update so I decide to post about 10-25 images per entry. this entry consist of 20 images that cover Imaizumi-cho (今泉町), Nishi Ward, Akashima and several night shot of previous update (which apparently I forgot to put any). 15. Toba - Bay of Saitama

    • Update #5 || Toba - Bay of Saitama • ############################################################################## • Toba is a small town located in bay of Saitama. It has a population around 55.000 inhabitants and as most of these villages located in the bay of Saitama it produces rice and fish. It is located in the South of Handa peninsula, almost where the bay of Saitama begins. From Toba you can reach the new Saitama's airport very Quickly because is located nearby and since the last year is also possible reach Kawasaki easily due the new Tunnel that cross the bay of Saitama and connects Kawasaki with Handa Peninsula. • • Towns like Toba are very popular in the last years, why ? It's quite simple. Here you can find all you need to have a normal life...the transport is perfectly connected with all parts of Saitama and the rest of Japan but life here is much simpler and easier than a chaotic urban area...• • Yes, Toba is also connected with the rest of the Prefecture by train. Trains are really important in Japan and every single village of town must have their railway lines and stations. You can reach from Toba using the train one of the Saitama's central stations in 1 hour more or less... • • The noise from the trains is part of the city, there are trains crossing the city and reaching the train station during all day, there are some trains at night too • • There is nothing really important or special in this town, standard layouts for roads and buildings. Everything has to be efficient here. [In the center of those pictures you can see the city hall] • Toba is also connected by the Highways system of Saitama. • • Some of the streets and areas of Toba, as I said is a quiet and normal location of the metropolitan area Saitama • • This is the port of Toba. Its and old port and in the past most imporant part of this town. Today the port is used by the inhabitants of Toba and it has not an important role in trade of the prefecture, but in the past this port was important to bring fresh fish to a big number of person in this area when the transport system was not that good... anyway the Toba's port is very popular among people of this small town and they love to visit it every day to buy some fresh fish or get some of the ferries to go somewhere in the Prefecture...• • Students and workers, the trains are filled with them and they come from city center every single night... • • The natural barrier that protects the bay of Saitama from big waves makes it possible to built all those big and small ports along the shore. As you can see the protections are not really large. This also affects the number of inhabitants, making possible more urbanization areas along the bay • • Thanks for your visit and I hope you enjoy this update about TOBA • ############################################################################## ~ Greetings from TOBA, Saitama Prefecture ~ ############################################################################## Greetings / Saludos / Groeten # Jonathan.

(Click HERE to get a full size image) • Update #2 || SIAT / SAITAMA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT • ############################################################################## • After some years of work, the new Saitama International Airport is finished. Everything is completed and working fine and the airport is ready to connect Saitama with the rest of the world. In this update we will see all the interesting points of this magnificent marvel of engineering • • The first step was to build a large island in the bay of Saitama. This was the most difficult step but it had to be in a new island, there was not enough space to create the airport inland. (In these photos you can see the final result and how the airport looks) • • The design of the structure is quite simple, The design consists of a long building that is divided into several sections. The terminals are named as A B & C. #Terminal A (Dedicated only to ANA Airlines company) #Terminal B (Dedicated to domestic flights. Only japanese flights) #Terminal C (Dedicated to international flights from other companies) • • #Terminal A ( ANA Airlanes Terminal) In these pictures you can see some 787 dreamliner. • #Terminal B where some Boeing 737-800 are ready to flight to another japanese cities (There is only one flight out of Japan from this terminal, it connects Saitama with Seoul in South Korea) • #Terminal C where you can see airplanes coming from Taipei in Taiwan, Busan in South Korea, Beijing in China and one 787 JAL Airplane which connects Saitama with Paris in France • • The Saitama International airport has all kind of facilities, now we'll see some of them... • • Safety is always the most important, here you can see the fire station that has the most modern vehicles to ensure the safety of all passengers • • This is the hotel zone, here people can find all kinds of services. Hotels, restaurants, offices dedicated to business, tourist offices, etc ... • • The company ANA Airlines has in this airport one of its headquarters, in this picture you can see the new and modern building • • The airport has also a small port, this port is used to supply kerosene to the airport, an airport can't work without kerosene for all those airplanes • • The cargo area is one of the most important parts of every airport. All kinds of packages, postal and courier are sent and received here • • The last thing we will see today is the control tower. It is quite modern and its design is one of the new faces of Saitama Prefecture • ##################### ~ R - E - P - L - I - E - S ~ ############################################################################## sucram17 Thanks for your comment. 18. Asoura - A Japanese village on the sea

REPLIES : Koriyama I sincerely appreciated your reactions and comments about my last entry. I wanted to thank you all before the replies. @MissVanleider Thank you, I am happy to see that you liked my work ! @MushyMushy I have also spent a lot of time on G.Earth to have this result. It is nice to see it was efficient, thank you ! @raynev1 Haha it is strange ! Living in France I have no problem. This was a song named Yoru no Odoriko, made by the Japanese band Sakanaction (one of my favorites, you should try to listen what they do) @kschmidt Yeah, I noticed that Japanese cities have a very large variety of buildings. They are absoutely not uniform. That is what I tried to recreate. Anyway, thank you ! @feyss "Banality" is maybe not the appropriated word. I just wanted to underline the fact that this city looks like any other one in Japan. I appreciated your remark, thanks ! @_Michael That was one of my goals, capturing the atmosphere. Thank you ! @jmsepe Like I told you in private, this beautiful tower has been created by APTX. Here is the link if anyone else is interested. @korver Thank you very much korver ! @Takingyouthere Yeah I saw that all the main Japanese CJs that I followed a few years ago had closed. That is a pity. I hope to see them opening again soon ! @Ln X Thank you for your comment, it is very nice ! ASOURA - A Japanese village on the sea My holidays end very soon, and then, I will have to pass my exams. I will be quite busy. That is why I decided to post this entry now, only a week after my last one. Asoura is a Japanese village located in the fictional prefecture of Koriyama. Compared to the biggest city of the region, just a few people live here, quietly. It is rare to see strangers aventuring in the area. There is nothing to see, except maybe the authenticity of the Japanese rurality. The inhabitants of this village are mainly fishermen. Indeed, Asoura is located between the Pacific Ocean and a bay which has the same name. To protect the city against the dangers of the sea, a big wall has been built along the beach. In 1994, a famous Japanese photographer flew above the city and took these photos. Asourans discovered for the first time the shape of their village. Today, they are exposed in the city hall. Click and listen ! (Shiki no Uta - Nujabes & Minmi) I hope that you enjoyed this entry ~ Do not hesitate to like and/or to comment !
  19. Koriyama

All the charm of Koriyama stems from its banality. I would like to take you on a little journey through authentic Japan ~ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2I25AFSBm2g Click and listen ! Welcome to the capital city of the fictional prefecture of Koriyama. About 300 000 people live here, 200 km away from Tokyo. I hope you enjoyed this entry ~ Do not hesitate to like and/or to comment !
  20. Is anyone working on a Roads United: Japan texture pack? Ideally NEXT2-compatible? There's so many Japanese assets and interest in Japanese-themed stuff, yet the only road texture packs available in the workshop are for Europe/UK/US I know there are some Japanese road decals available but that's not quite the same thing...

Tokyo, Japan a map by: blunder ------------- Installation: This map is in .sc4m format and requires either Terraformer or Mapper to import. 1. Navigate to your Documents/SimCity 4/Regions folder and create a new folder with your desired region name 2. Copy+paste the config.bmp file into the folder you just created. 3. Open SC4TF, open the new region, import the .sc4m file, save and quit. 4. You must open and save each tile for it to display your terrain mod instead of the terraformer/mapper elevation color overlay. ------------- Description: Get out your commuter trains. Tokyo is the worlds largest metropolitan area with over 32 million inhabitants (or something like that, i'm going from memory). This map is a whopping 76km x 76km and made from satellite data. If you want to make it smaller, don't forget you can black out areas of the config.bmp as long as the resulting configuration forms an acceptable grid to sc4's engine. Map made using satellite data, image editing software, and drunkapple's invaluable advice. edit: Map is scale and terrain accurate. (I HIGHLY recommend using the high altitude + snow installation of Lowkee's most excellent Appalachian Terrain Mod and shokthrpy's Brigantine 2.0 HD water and HD rock mods) For questions, comments, and requests please see my Map Thread (Blundered Cartography) over at simpeg.com Happy Gaming!

  24. Entry 6 - Fujiwara Takumi..

Thanks for the comments. It's time to continue our little story. I warn you, it will contain spoilers of Initial D. Fujiwara Takumi is just a normal highschooler. Like all the students, he got his driving license not long ago during the his last year of high-school. He always looks bored and distant, with a look on his face as if he was always day dreaming. Despite all that, Takumi holds a secret he hasn't told anyone yet.. This is where he lives, with his father who runs a tofu shop, not far from the central station. After school Takumi works part-time in the town's gas station with his classmate Itsuki. It's there they met Iketani and Kenji, two street racers who run the local friendly amateur team Akina Speed Stars. Every morning, Takumi wakes up very early to help with his father's delivery. He has to drive the fresh tofu all the way up the mountain pass to deliver the hotels. Nobody knows it, but it was his father's intention to train him to get better at driving.. Everyday for the past five years Takumi has helped his father, driving illegally by all weather. He knows better than anyone every corner and straightway of this road. For the past five years he has become the legendary "Ghost of Akina" despite nobody knowing it was him.. For Takumi, helping his father is a hassle, he wants to finish the delivery the fastest way possible.. Which is why and the reason he got to the level of driving he is. More to come soon..
  25. Entry 5 - Akina..

raynev1 - Drift will come.... Next update. airman15 - The GTR comes later in a few updates.. KRMill09 - I use a mix of Conifers, Firs, Oaks, Maples, Chestnuts, ashes, bushes and lupins from Girafe, as well as Cherrys from Uki and neko. Takemethere - I decided not to bother making a clear way for the pylons and instead let the forest run right under it.. The pylons are already quite tall so I don't think the trees are gonna be of any problem in the far future. kschmidt - Well the river is straight because it is build using pieces from neko's japanese rural river.. -- Since the preparations are finished, I'll really start showing pictures from the actual project I had in mind. It's not much really, but I'm just going to showcase scenes inspired by the manga/anime Initial D. Right now for today will be just some shots of the main city, Akina. The next update will start talking about the protagonist of the mini-series. All pictures are available in full resolution. (1280x1024) It's really a pain in the bottom to fill large city tiles with farms and trees... Makes the game so slow when you add the shadows.. That's it for today.. I'll be back in a few days with more stuff to show.
