We need help when we begin sneaking a peek under the hood of SC4. That the community is always willing to help is a constant and pleasant comfort for us noobies. Depending on your using or not a Light Replacement Mod, the lighting will be slightly different, but There Will Be Light. (If using LRM and finding your own lights too dim, take out zLightCones_RVTNite.dat). The lot and its 1x1 addons (to extend the paths if desired) should show up at the beginning of the Park menu, or somewhere thereabout – menu order is also player-dependent.     I love parks, plazas, green spaces, even treed parking lots, anything that will let a cityscape breathe, by day or by night. Over the years I collected a lot of them, with a dozen loved one I always find myself going back to. But at some point, playing in night mod, I noticed that many of them were not lit, or not enough for my taste. Ditto for too many sport parks. I don’t want my peeps to be mugged when taking a stroll in a park or playing catch with the kids ! So I decided to learn how to light stuff. Among other things. So here is the very first park I lotted, (as any new modder would...) when I was hopped up on textures. There will be others. I thought it was time to add to our collective collection.   4. Llama Reserve Nature Park

    This lot uses the maximum number of props allowed on a lot. The props are listed as: LotConfigPropertyLotObjectData, starting with 0x88EDC900 and ending with 0x88EDCDFF for a total of 1,280 props. Source: SC4 Devotion Forum The included road and parking overlay textures are the same as in my recently updated Quantum Dish download which has another version of the 3x3 Roundabout. If both are used then delete one or the other file named 'OverlayTexturesCivics_Network.dat'. The overlays may be used freely as long as a message to delete multiples of the same .dat file is included. EDIT NOTE: All the network connections are for 'streets' (in gray) so you have to drag a street from the lot edge. If you surround the lot with 'roads' (in black) they won't automatically connect and you can't drag roads out from the edge. The Llama Reserve and Nature Park An 11x13 lot with Maxis animal animations of llamas, cows, horses, giraffes, bucks and pigeons (which rarely appear, if at all). High park effect in local area. Minimal pollution. Network and transit enabled. Uses 200 mwh of power. The Llama Statue Roundabout A 3x3 lot with a llama statue built from the Maxis rock props. This lot uses my road overlay textures to create a roundabout connected on each side to the network. High landmark effect. Minimal pollution. The domestic llama statue was modelled from a picture by Kim Foster and is included under the Creative Commons Attribution 2 Generic License. It is 1x1 tile overhanging Lot you can use to cross narrow water areas, sunken freeways etc. No night lighting again because I don't know how to do so. Just extract the files to your plugins folder. Punta Retolk is part of Metropolitan Area. Founded in 1855 by english fishers, his main activity was fishing. Wainor was the first city of Metzú in have a seaport, in 1874. Wainor grew up slowly until the 90's. Large foreign capitals (China, principally) have invested a lot of money in financial services and commercial activities. The economic importance of the area and the existence of a seaport, made it possible this investment. The panorama of Wainor changed absolutely. High skyscrapers, large transport networks and other Infrastructure works (parks, stadiums, solar power...). Wainor is prosperous, cosmopolitan, touristic. A great place to visit in Metzú.     San Foca 2.0 After a long break and Besides trying to recover data of cities after my hard drive died I recreated a more modern and realistic version of San Foca. I posted in the forum of AIN several images in the new version of San Foca and generally to Siculia even if you are currently the accomplishment of some cities in Cities Skylines. But now let's see San Foca. Here is the old part of town with a nice high speed railway train station A canal in the city centre The industrial zone of San Foca This is the national monument of the fallen for the fatherland We move in the main street where there is a high speed train station An area where citizens of San Foca live in peacefulness A piece of the Ain Nations embassies The autobahn in San Foca The Sun is setting and the light at night will light up. This scene seems catchy with this music And while the electric lights replace the sunlight here is the autobhan at night The Federal Parliament during thenight The President's House and the Palace of ministries San Foca and the sea Another area where there are embassies with a high speed rail terminal During the night the city becomes magnificent Here is the highway with its tunnel that divides the old with the modern part with its skyscrapers Finally we give a small insight in the financial district of San Foca And with this news bomb, is now closing!   12. Parks in Bellingham: Costa Verde

    Hello, welcome to the second entry: The entry will be huge, because I'll speak of the greatest park in the region, we have 9km of park (5.6mi if you use the imperial unit) They're divided in 3 fully connected parks: -Parque do Canal: Aterro: Ferry terminal in the right side, in the bottom: Integration with metro system. You can see Historical Museum in the left top too. (There's another subway connection here too) And Praça da Bandeira: There were studies for the implementation of a beach in Praça da Bandeira, but the proximity to the port killed the project. By the way, this is the reason why it's called Praça da Bandeira: There's a lot of flags of friendly countries and associations But sims use it very well. There's a lot of gazebos and park benches like this one, where sims can relax and think about life: Aterro: This is the biggest part of the park. Where the park divides it's space with Jayme Costa parkway, popularly known as Costa Verde Parkway. It's know that way because there was no land here in the beginning of the history: It was created with a severe number of landfills (this is what means aterro in the language that the city adopts, the Portuguese). With the new high speed corridor, solutions were also implemented to not permit that the expressway cut the park in half where it needed. pedestrian walks and even the sidewalk of the tunnel are used for making the walk of the pedestrians safe. recreational stuff right after a footbridge There's a lot of park accesses if there's need to create expressways. WIth the ease of the parkway, a lot of facilities moved towards to it. The Parliament and the bus terminal are just two of them. One of the biggest residential buildings in the world was constructed in the "parkfront" Near it, the other buildings look like dwarfs You can see the "to-implement" acess from Thomas Edinson Avenue to the parkway: I leave you with the two most important interchanges of the parkway. The other reason for having 2 lanes is because it's a very important node in the city.

  14. While everyone is trying to reduce problems with traffic in the city, such as traffic jams, large car queues and such. I'm going in the other direction. I want to see the streets of my city clogged with cars, lots of cars To try to solve the problems consequent of this greater flow.     This set of lots is inspired by kazuki's original lots, which have since disappeared from his site. Many features were taken from the original set and merged with other newer prop packs, most notably NBVC's bazaar props. Stats: 13 lots included. All share the same stats Plop Cost: §1,000 Bulldoze Cost: §20 Monthly Cost: §0 Landmark effect: 40 over 10 Park effect: 5 over 10 No utility consumption No pollution emitted Installation: Simply place in your plugins folder. Each lot is individual so you can delete any you don't want. Neither the lots included in NBVC's Bazaar are required, nor are the cascading dependencies required. If you do not wish to use his set, simply delete the *.SC4lot files included. Keep the *.sc4desc and *.sc4model files, please. Lot orientation is aided with the optional Simpeg Plop Orientation Tools. The lots will appear towards the bottom of the parks menu.     This is my contribution to the STEX 20K file mark. Its just a simple landmark file of the Maxis Quantum Dish. Plop it in appreciation of all the files that came before. EDIT: JUST VERIFIED. STEX Files 20,000 Yiiiiiiiiiihaaaaaa!!!!! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This download now has 3 versions of the Quantum Dish. The original is the 1x1 Landmark found at the top of the LM menu. The LM is a functional industrial lot (stats below). The 2nd version is a 1x1 (non-functional) Park found in the Parks Menu. The Park lot can be used to place anywhere on a map without needing road and power connections and will not dilapidate. The LM and Park lots are identical but can be differentiated by clicking on the lot with the query tool. The stats for the 1x1 Park lot are the same as for the Open Grass Area park with light park effect and negligible pollution. On the morning of February 10, 2017 I noticed the counter was at 19,999 and I had been working on making a functional landmark from the Maxis Quantum Dish. I quickly threw together a zip-file to upload so I could claim the fame of having the 20,000th upload to the STEX. I've further developed this download, adding 2 more Quantum Dish lots and a Simtropolis lamp-post sign. The 13x2 Simtropolis Lamp-post sign is a hand-printed souvenir for fans and colleagues of Simtropolis. It is found in the Parks menu. Quantum Dish 3x3 Network Roundabout This lot is lavishly gardened and lit with lamps. Each side of the lot is connected to the street network so cars will pass through and drive around the roundabout. The street overlay textures are included in the folder with the lot. These may be used in other lots but references to the textures should be maintained to prevent duplicate loading of the textures. If another lot uses the textures a message should be included instructing to delete multiples of the same .dat file. . I always missed a more natural kind of set from slope walls, which can fit along with elevated rail lines (on slope of course) and a lot of other situation as well.
