  1. Menu Dividers

    Version 2.1

    100 Downloads

Because I have a lot of stuff in my Landmark and Park menu, I use iLiveReader to give content a specific number. Parks, hedges, alleys, CO-buildings, IM-buildings, you name it, all in order. This is for easy finding. To make it more easier, here are some ‘Planning Blocks’. You can give each block a number. By example: In My Park menu fillers have there numbers between -10001 / -20000 and hedges, fences and alleys have the numbers between: -20001 / -30000. Now you choose a color, give it the number -20000 and you have a divider between the two ‘sub-menu’s’. Please see the following tutorial for info on changing the menu icon order using Reader: ---------- In this upload there are two folders. One Landmark and one Park. The one file you certainly need is: Planning_Colors.dat Also, they are ploppable. So if you want to be creative... All credits goes to @CorinaMarie, she made these things. I just changed some numbers (after reading a tutorial how to do, made by her.) Last but not least: These things may be freely shared. The Memorial City Park is available in three versions and each can be downloaded separately from the STEX, they can be found in the reward menu as it comes with 16 jobs and earns your city $800 a month income from the shop profits, the front entrance of the park and also the entrance to the carpark in version 2 (LH & RH) have been network enabled to give the visual effect of cars stopping or using the car park. The Azaleas, Roses, Shop and Wildflowers are all from prop families so if you have more than one of these parks in your city there will be subtle differences between the parks, especially after you have planted trees, etc using God or Mayor mode. You may get Blimps or Balloons over your city, you will definitely get fireworks once a year and of course the year would not be complete without a visit from Santa Claus. Last but not least this park will have a positive effect on your Air, Mayor Rating and Water in the area surrounding the park. ENJOY Lot Details and Information Ploppable City Park with Jobs and Income: Lot size: 8 x 8 tiles or 10 x 9 tiles Menu position: Building: Reward, Building: Dog Magnet, Building: YIMBY Jobs (16 Total): Jobs $ : 4,Jobs $$ : 9,Jobs $$$ : 3,R-$ : 4,R-$$ : 9,R-$$$ : 3 Plop cost: § 1600 Bulldoze cost: § 3200 Monthly Income: § 800 Park effect: 32 over 32 tiles Landmark effect: 32 over 16 tiles Max. Fire Stage: 0 Power consumption: 32 MWh/month Water consumption: 32 Gallons/month Air pollution: -32 over 16 tiles Water pollution: -32 over 16 tiles Garbage pollution: 0 over 0 tiles Compatibility This download is only compatible with SimCity 4 "Rush Hour" or SimCity 4 Deluxe. Installation Installation: While the park is slope friendly it is also very formal in layout and I would recommend plopping it on flat or leveled ground and due to the size and number of effects and props not to have more than one park per city, there are three versions of this park, each can be downloaded separately from the STEX. Version 1 - No Carpark Version 2 - With Carpark (Lefthand Drive) Version 2 - With Carpark (Righthand Drive) Version 3 - With Stream I have not included any trees in the park so as to allow people to use God or Mayor mode to plant trees suitable for their city or region, the only place you cannot plop trees is on the lake and the surrounding area covered by the wildflowers, because it can take several attempts to get the right look with your trees I have kept the cost of plopping and deleting this park to $1600/$3200. Un-Installing: To un-install the files, simply bulldoze every lot from this download in your cities and delete the files from the plugins folder afterwards. 7. 432 Park Avenue

    Version 1.0.0

    1,004 Downloads

432 Park Avenue is a residential skyscraper in New York City that overlooks Central Park. Originally proposed to be 1,300 feet (396.2 meters) in 2011, the structure topped out at 1,396 ft (425.5 m). It was developed by CIM Group and features 125 condominium apartments. Construction began in 2012 and was completed on December 23, 2015. As completed, 432 Park Avenue is the third tallest building in the United States, and the tallest residential building in the world. It is the second-tallest building in New York City, behind One World Trade Center, and ahead of the Empire State Building. It is also the first, and so far only, building in New York City outside the World Trade Center Complex to be taller than the original twin towers. The skyscraper has received mixed reviews from both professionals and laymen alike since not everyone agreed with the artistic value of the building. The building has been maligned by some city residents since they believe it represents New York's increasing cost of living and ostentatious wealth. 432 Park's association to wealth inequality was also remarked upon by the building's architect himself, Rafael Viñoly, who commented that "There are only two markets, ultraluxury and subsidized housing." Fashion consultant Tim Gunn described the building as "just a thin column. It needs a little cap." Architecture critic of the New York Mag, Justin Davidson, said that the building is nothing more than just "stacked cubbyhole units" and questioned the creative value of the building. 11. So errm just loaded into my Berlin post-parklief. I have 81 tiles and dozens of mods. Was a bit confused by this: The entire map has a thick overlay color. Dunno what's causing it but I don't think it's supposed to be there. Have others noticed this? I can still zone the park (shown in purple). When I de-zone the park around the edges (shown at the top right by the small area with no overlay), I get these clear see-through areas. I think the whole map should look like that, right? So I wonder what is causing this creamy everywhere thing. Also wondering why we need an entire "de-zone" tool menu option. Doesn't right-click on the zone tool do exactly the same thing? Is this some x-box-needed UI stuff?

  13. Blue Peak

BLUE PEAK INTRODUCTION For the Sims of The Archipelago who like the convenience of proximity to the big city action but also want the outdoorsy nature of the island life, Blue Peak is the place for them. Residing just south of Wade City, Blue Peak is largest city on the largest island in The Archipelago. THE CITY Although Blue peak is known for it's beaches and large natural parks, the city itself is quite urban. This density helps serve as a small cultural node with close proximity to Wade City. SUNNYSIDE BEACH One of the largest and most popular beaches in The Archipelago, is the premiere beach destination of the region... or so the Sims say in Blue Peak (there are a few other islands who strongly disagree with that) BLUE PEAK NATURAL PARK Blue Peak Natural Park sits between the city of Blue Peak and Wade City. Blue Peak Mountain is the highest point in The Archipelago out side of the mainland. THE NIGHT LIFE Blue peak is not just a daytime city, it has quite the active nightlife as well on Ocean Blue Avenue also known as "The Blue Strip." Thanks for reading and please follow my journal for future post about the Wade City Archipelago!!

-------------------------------------------------------- [AUTHOR'S COMMENT] -------------------------------------------------------- This is the fourth and last entry of Project Haussmann. I hope you enjoyed this development in 4 stages: briefing-proposal-construction-result For the next entry we leave for a while the Urban Planning stuff and we start a new section in this CJ. The next entry will be something that you have already seen in Simtropolis, but I will be changing a few pictures to match the new storyline. It was posted several years ago, so probably it will be new for many of you. See u!

KOSC presents: The Forsaken Ones - City Parks and Plazas (2015) Introduction There's a ton of leftover lots I have sitting on my hard drive in an unfinished/near-finished state dating all the way back to mid-2015. The Forsaken Ones is a series dedicated to those lots/packs which I feel is decent enough to warrant a look again and as such, I've tidied up a few of the leftovers and packaged them together. City Parks and Plazas was originally meant to be a large park/plaza pack back in 2015. The original idea included FA2 conforming plazas and a vast variety of other seasonal parks and plazas for more urban areas. As I ultimately got sidetracked with parking textures shortly after the creation of the first parks, the rest of the set never came to fruition. Package Overview Included in the following package is a set of 4 park lots. General Stats The 4 parks/plazas in this set consist of the following: 1 small high-wealth plaza, providing small amounts but full R$, R$$ and R$$$ cap relief. 1 medium-wealth plaza, 1 medium-wealth park, providing residential as well as commercial office cap relief 1 larger high-wealth park, providing full residential as well as commercial office cap relief In addition, all parks share the following properties: Air pollution reduction, light water pollution Moderate to strong landmark effects within a short radius, park effects over a larger radius (relative to park size) By default, the parks should appear early on in the parks menu. Detailed stats and information can be found in the enclosed README. Install Instructions Drop the files in your My Documents/SimCity 4/Plugins folder. Dependencies This is an oldie so the dependency listing is considerably shorter. 17. Heretic SG-CAL Canal Expansions vol. 1

    Version 1.1

    241 Downloads

UPDATE V1.1: I removed from the previously attached Included Dependencies folder the following files: Heretic-Murimk Rowing Boats.dat, Heretic-WMP Rowing Boats Prop Family.dat, Heretic-WMP Rowing Sculls Prop Families.dat, because those files now can be found in my Heretic Essentials v1.0. They haven't been changed in functionwise. Do NOT remove the above mentioned files from the Essential folders, only from the Included Dependencies folders. This is a simple "patch" and a starter expansion set for CAL Goobers Canals 2007 Baseset BSC. Disclaimer on "patch/fix": The original idea came from the existing prop family conflict between the CAL_SG_Canal_Extra_1x1_Straight+1.sc4lot (and its belonging prop family in the SG_CAL_Canal_Straight_PropFamily.dat) and Glenni's Norwegian House Set vol. 2 and since the props and prop families has been merged into Glenni's Mega Prop Pack the conflict applies with this too. Accidently back in 2006/2007 both set got the same prop family ID, so depending on the load order either nice norvegian houses popped up or the canal pieces, when you plopped the Straigh +1 canal piece. I made a new family (which is identical CAL's one) for the canal pieces, since easier to fix on this side the problem then messing with the Mega Props or the original house set. You will still need the SG_CAL_Canal_Straight_PropFamily.dat since this contains the original models, but I made a new lot which uses the newly made prop family and it won't be conflicting with anything any more. Installation: Copy the "Heretic Projects" folder from the zip (or unzip it) into your plugin folder. If something wants to overwrite anything you can accept it, that's OK. Highly recomended to keep the provided folder structure, because all of my uploads have the same format, and since sometime I'm working with inclouded dependencies (such as textures or descriptor datas) it's better if these "inclouded dependencies" are in the same place. The Documentation folder contains a Cleanitol CAL SG Straigh +1 Canal.txt file with the name SG_CAL_Canal_1x1_Straight+1_d3919b22.SC4Lot either you can manually delete the mentioned file or you can run the BSC Cleantiol program and browse the Cleanitol CAL SG Straigh +1 Canal.txt to delete the file. It's important and very highly recommended to delete the above mentioned original *.sc4lot file. If you unzipped the upload, you may delete or remove the "Documentation" folder from your Plugin Folder. To uninstall, bulldoze any instance of this lot in your city, then remove the file(s) from your Plugins. LIST OF ITEMS: * 1 pcs 1x1 straight canal piece with randomly appearing pipes, drains, overflows * 3 pcs 1x1 water tile with various boats, rowing boats and punts and rowing sculls * 1 pcs 2x1 Small boat marina * 1 pcs 3x2 Small Transit Enabled (TE) Street Raising Bridge with a transit capacity of 2400 Dependencies: * CAL Goobers Canals 2007 Baseset BSC * CAL Goobers Canals 2007 Extras * Murimk Waterfront Pack 2 - Sheds and Rowboats * Murimk Waterfront Pack 3 - Rural Marina (only the Murimk_Rural_Marina_Resource.dat) * WMP Rowing Club (only need the wmp_rowing_props.dat) Heretic Essentials It has many additional dependencies, but for this upload you mostly need the Regular Prop Families folder from the Essential and the below listed dependencies cover the related dependencies of the Essential. However higly recommended to place all parts of the Essential into your plugin folder and download all its necessary dependencies. * Heretic_SG_CAL_Canal_Straight_PropFamily.dat (included) Have fun and enjoy! - Tyberius06

This Paeng's SandStone Parks (beta) was made by Paeng and originally was uploaded as a forum attachment onto the PLEX and hasn't been available according to my best knowledge. Disclaimer on BETA: As I see, he was about to make and release with its official release a few "raised/slope wall" parks too (you can find an expanded image into the Documentation Folder of this upload OR you can check the 2nd picture above, which shows you how they would've been look like, and an explanation about his dissatisfaction with the lots). I think (my personal opinion), he actually cancelled the release of these lots, because you can find all the 1x1 lots to be made as functional PED MALLs under the release Paeng's PedMall Parks. Please note with the permission of the Simtropolis Staff Members (Cori & Cyclone Boom) and Catty-CB, this file has been uploaded on behalf of Paeng. It was not available anymore due to the unfortunate demise of SimPeg. All the works in this download were created by Paeng. Installation: Unzip the whole bundle, or COPY the "Paeng" folder from the *.zip into your plugin folder. You don't need to keep the "Documentation" folder. To uninstall, bulldoze any instance of this lot in your city, then remove the file(s) from your Plugins. LIST OF ITEMS: * 13 various 1x1 fillers, small parks and walkways (see the attached picture) * 1 2x2 medium plaza park * 1 3x3 large plaza park ----------------------------- Dependencies ----------------------------- * PorkieProps-Vol1.dat * PorkieProps-Vol2.dat * BSC MEGA Props - SG Vol01 * BSC Textures Vol 01 * PEG MTP SUPER PACK Optional: * PEG Red Brick Facelift Mod * SFBT-Essentials (orientation-arrows while plopping) needed file: SFBT_ArkenbergeJoe_Props.dat (188 Kb) IMPORTANT NOTICE: This upload/the zip file DOES NOT contain the "raised/slope wall" parks (what you can see on the 2nd picture), since they've never been attached to this zip by Paeng. 19. AREA 64 Garden Park (36 x 35 ) x 4 Lots

    Version 1.0.0

    213 Downloads

These lots are the largest that can be built. They are parks made up of grass textures which may be landscaped, tree-planted, and gardened with MMPs and flora to create your own fresh-air generating, health and well-being facilitating, wilderness in the city. There are 3 versions using a set of base textures made for this project, and 1 version using the standard grass area 1x1 park in Maxis. Also included are a set of 6 grass base textures and 1x1 grass area lots with more pollution reduction and park effect. No Dependencies: There are no external dependencies. The base texture file is included in the zip file download. 🌎 4 Versions of the Park Include: Ɵ AREA 64 Ecology. Found in the Parks Menu. Based on the Zoo Reward, provides maximum Park Effect over 100 tiles. Ɵ AREA 64 Energy. Found in the Power Menu and providing 25x wind power. Ɵ AREA 64 Education. Found in the Education Menu and providing a School EQ boost 5x the science museum. Ɵ AREA 64 Transit Found in the Parks Menu and providing a transit capacity of 1200 in one corner of the lot. All lots are transit and network enabled, reduce pollution significantly, and have minimal maintenance cost. These lots will moderately impact game speed, it is recommended that only 1 be used in any city, but all 4 may be used safely. Why are These Lots Called AREA 64? The maximum number of props allowed on a lot is 1280, including base and overlay textures, so although Lot Editor will allow you to build a lot as large as 64 x 64 with 4096 base textures, when you plop the lot on a city tile it will be missing (4096 - 1280), or 2816 base textures. The largest lot that can be built that fits into the 1280 limit is 36 x 35 which equals 1260 base textures. A 36 x 36 sized lot will have 1296 textures and will be missing 16. So, the actual largest lot you can build is 36 x 35, but you can only add 16 props to bring the total to the limit of 1280. Lot tiles are 16 meters wide and there are 64 of them wide in a small city adding up to 1024 meters or about 1 km. A medium city is 128 squares or about 2 km wide (2,048 meters). The large city, doubled in size again, is 256 x 16 = 4,096, just over 4 km wide. Given all the above our mega-lot is (36 x 16) x (35 x 16), factored as (576 x 560) square meters (322,560) which is about equal to one-third of a square kilometer or about one-fifth of a square mile (128 acres). If a football field is about 1 acre, and a city block is about 2 acres, our mega-lot is (128/2) about the size of 64 city blocks! The size of 'AREA 64' is about the same percentage of conservation area (23%) defined under the principle of 'Sustainable Development' as established in 1987. In SC4, placing this lot in the center of a large tile and populating it with flora will somewhat demonstrate the principle according to the game dynamics. The Blue Marble (photograph) Credit: NASA The 'Blue Marble' is an iconic photograph of Earth taken at about 29,000 kilometres away on December 7, 1972, by the crew of Apollo 17 on their way to the moon. The image is used often in conservation presentations and has been made into a base texture and used to make the color-coded menu icons for 'AREA 64'. Forest and Field Base Textures: (included) The base textures are compliant with the BSC Texture Index at SC4 Devotion. To make your own, request and use a unique personal Texture ID Range at SC4D. The Forest and Field Base Textures .dat file may be used freely for content creation as long as reference is made to prevent duplication and potential conflicts in the game software.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- UPDATE: v1.1 - I removed the "Included Dependency" folder, because since than Tariel uploaded her essential files which contains the previously attached texture file. You will find that dependency here: Tariel-Rivit's Essentials ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Background: One of my first relotting project was to make a "redirected" mirrored version of @io_bg's EBLT Plaza Set, to make a flawless looking plaza route combining the original set of plazas and the relots. Well doing my "house keeping" on my bunch of experimental relots, I decided to revisit my old lots. Since @tariely started her very nice projects on plazas and gardens, we made a team-up and she facelifted my lots with nice nightlights and other fancy stuffs, and also made three plazas for this set. Huge thanks to her for the hard work on this project! List of items: 6 1x1 modular plaza walk pieces. Using the SPOT you can make bigger plazas with flawles plaza routes. (see attached pictures) 2 2x1 modular-ish plaza walk pieces. 5 2x2 Mirrored Plaza for the purpose of expanding the existing EBLT Plaza set. 2 2x2 Plaza using the same route-ways as the original set. (They are not mirrored pieces, credit goes to Tariely for these pieces) 2 2x4 plaza pieces - one regular and one mirrored version The listed items can be working together nicely, but I guess, need a little patience and experimentings for better results. Install: Copy the "Heretic Projects" folder from the zip (or unzip it) into your plugin folder. Highly recomended to keep the provided folder structure, because all of my uploads have the same format, and since sometime I'm working with inclouded dependencies (such as textures or descriptor datas) it's better if these "inclouded dependencies" are in the same place. If you unzipped the upload, you may delete or remove the "Documentation" folder from your Plugin Folder. You will find these lots in the Park Menu close to the original set. The plop cost of the original 2x2 set is 50$. To keep the additional pieces close to the original set, I gave the following values: 2x2 plazas - 51$ 1x1 plazas - 52$ 2x1 plazas - 53$ 2x4 plazas - 55$ Dependencies (it's quite a long list, but it contains pretty common prop packs, specially if you're already using Tariel's one or more parks/plazas from previous uploads): Props: BSC Mega Props - CP Vol. 1 BSC Mega Props - CP Vol. 2 BSC Mega Props - SG Vol. 1 BSC Mega Props - MJB vol. 1 BSC MEGA Props - MJB Vol02 BSC MEGA Props Jen_P Vol01 BSC MEGA Props D66 Vol02 BSC MEGA Props Misc vol01 BSC MEGA Props Misc Vol02 BSC - VIP girafe birches BSC - VIP girafe maples v2 BSC - VIP girafe lindens VIP Delecto Ploppable people RDQ HD Prop Pack Darknite Version Murimk Props Vol. 2 Was Dutch Prop Pack NBVC Plazas with fountains Porkie Props vol. 1 Tamorr's Resource 2.05 PEG MTP Super Pack S.P.O.T. UPDATE v1.1: I revisited the attached Included Dependencies files and merged them into ONE dat file. That won't have any affection on the lots, purelly aesthetical/organizing modification happed to my pleasure. Updated dependency list, since Tariely uploaded her essential files, therefore there is an easier access to the necessary files. Also I attached a cleanitol file to help you remove the unecessary files. Background: During this autum I ran into a little problem in one of my cities. I needed some medium plazas with the dimensions of 2x3/3x2-3x4/4x3 and I couldn't find anything what I already wouldn't use in my cities, so I came up with the idea to making some new lots. The original idea wasn't about a public release, since I don't have too much experience (neither too much motivation) with plazas and I wouldn't have wasted to much time trying to make something which could be satisfying for everyone. But during the working process @tariely came up with some ideas and thoughts about nightlights (which is an other thing I'm not interested in), so she got the files to put her touch on them. Later I combined the two sets, Hers and mine, and here we are with this quite massive plaza set, which contains: 18 medium plazas (5 - 2x3, 5 - 3x2, 2 - 2x4, 4 - 3x4, 2 - 4x3) 3 larger plazas 6x5 I moded the plaza effects such as pollution and things like this totally random, so don't look for any realism, I don't really care the gameplay aspect in that deep, so they can be unballanced, but if you recognize some ballancing gameplay problem, probably will know how to fix it. Hint: LE Prop or Reader tool are your friends. Of course, I'm open any suggestion, and if you have accurate values for me which numbers I should change for what, I can and will do it and can update the upload. The plaza plop costs are variable according to the sets: Heretic (yepp that's me) 2x3/3x2 plazas - 400 Heretic 3x4/4x3 plazas - 405 Tariel 2x3/3x2 plazas - 410 (yepp, they are more expensive, because they are admittedly nicer, less out of the box, than mine) Tariel 3x4/4x3 plazas - 415 Heretic-Tariel 6x5 plazas - 500 Install: Copy the "Heretic Projects" folder from the zip (or unzip it) into your plugin folder. Highly recomended to keep the provided folder structure, because all of my uploads have the same format, and since sometime I'm working with inclouded dependencies (such as textures or descriptor datas) it's better if these "inclouded dependencies" are in the same place.
