Mod Manager for SimCity 4 plugins. This program handles the process of downloading and installing SimCity 4 plugins, including all their dependencies. It helps you assemble a full Plugins folder very quickly, and also keeps your plugins up-to-date and organized. Usage Prerequisites: Java 17 or later (Windows/macOS/Linux, see Adoptium for details) Mono (macOS/Linux, not needed on Windows) Enough disk space Download: Choose between the desktop application for Windows 10+, the desktop application for Linux, and the cross-platform web-app for other platforms. Verify the checksum of the downloaded ZIP file against the checksums published on Github (optional). Extract the contents of the downloaded ZIP file to any location of your choice. At first launch of the application, it guides you through the initial setup: creating a new Profile and configuring the location of your Plugins folder. Go to Find Packages to search and select packages to install (for example cyclone-boom:save-warning). There are already more than 5000 plugins with compatible metadata to choose from. Once satisfied, go to the Dashboard and hit Update to download and install the plugin files. Files are downloaded directly from Simtropolis or other sites like SC4Evermore, ToutSimCities, SimCityKurier (archived), Hide and Seek! (archived) and GitHub. If you are signed in to Simtropolis, watch out for the “Install with sc4pac” button on the STEX. It appears for plugins that can be installed with sc4pac. Start small and gradually build up your Plugins folder. Don't download everything at once. Install null-45:startup-performance-optimization-dll if you use the Windows digital edition of the game. (This adds support for plugin file paths exceeding the 260 character limit on Windows, which could otherwise be a problem for a small number of packages that use deeply-nested, long file names.) Install memo:lua-sandbox-dll if you use the Windows digital edition of the game. (This provides a more secure environment for your plugins by preventing mods from using unsafe Lua functions.) Be aware that Simtropolis has a download limit of 20 files per day for guests. To avoid this limit, go to Settings and set up your personal authentication token for Simtropolis (step-by-step guide). Alternatively, simply continue the installation process the next day. Plugins folder structure 050-load-first 060-config 075-my-plugins (your existing manually installed plugins) 100-props-textures 110-resources 140-ordinances 150-mods 170-terrain 180-flora 200-residential 300-commercial 360-landmark 400-industrial 500-utilities 600-civics 610-safety 620-education 630-health 640-government 650-religion 660-parks 700-transit 710-automata 770-network-addon-mod 895-my-overrides (your manually installed zzz-folders) 900-overrides Packages are installed into subfolders prefixed by an even number, as the order in which files are loaded by the game is important. This ensures a consistent load order. Files you install manually should be put into subfolders prefixed by an odd number (ideally before 900-overrides). Migrating an existing Plugins folder If you already have a non-empty Plugins folder and want to switch to sc4pac, start by moving the bulk of your manually installed files into a new subfolder 075-my-plugins and your zzz-folders into 895-my-overrides to ensure correct load order. Once you install more and more packages and dependencies with sc4pac, delete the corresponding older, redundant, manually installed files to avoid duplication or version conflicts. If a dependency was installed with sc4pac, there is no need to keep older manually installed copies of it. In the long run, create additional odd-numbered subfolders for better organization of your manually installed files and to fine-tune load order. Managing multiple Plugins folders The sc4pac GUI supports creating multiple Profiles. For example, you could use a unique Profile for each of your Regions. Each Profile corresponds to a Plugins folder. Important: Make sure to select distinct locations for all your Plugins folders to avoid interference between Profiles. You can use the SC4 launch parameter -UserDir:"..." to start the game with a custom location for the Plugins folder. Uninstalling Uninstall all packages for each Profile (see Dashboard → Profile → Delete options). Delete the download cache folder (see Dashboard). Remove the profiles configuration folder (see Settings). Finally, delete the folder containing the sc4pac program files. Chinatown Road, Avenue and Pedestrian Lane Canopies, by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- One of the things that is quite difficult to achieve in SC4 is roads and areas of a city tile that convey a 'sense of place'. In almost all cities and large towns the main shopping streets, cultural precincts and prominent thoroughfares usually have their own immediately recognisable style; whether it is from architecture or street trees and street furniture. That is the genesis behind this series of canopies: to denote a stronger sense of place at street level while being functional. This first set of canopies is based on the typical displays of red Chinese lanterns, dragon imagery and symbols that are found in the so-called 'Chinatown' areas of cities. The red lanterns cast a striking glow at night, the canopy is made in such a way to enable moving sims and automata to be visible through the bracing and your street lights and street props will also be visible underneath the canopy. There are 3 lots in this download, and each is functional. * A road-top bus stop. This lot occupies a 1x1 tile and is overhanging so that canopies can be placed adjacent to each other all along the roadway; * An avenue-top bus stop. This lot occupies a 2x1 tile and is overhanging so that canopies can be placed adjacent to each other all along the avenue; * A functional pedestrian-only laneway. This lot is 1x4 tiles long and must be joined to the road/street network and/or the NAM ped-mall pieces. --------------------------------------- IT IS IMPORTANT TO TAKE NOTE OF THE FOLLOWING POINTS: * While road-top/avenue-top bus stops can be safely placed next to a commercial building without any issues, they cannot be placed adjacent to a residential lot or you will get a no-car-zot. This is limitation of the game and I cannot do anything about this. The exception to this rule is where the residential lot is wider than the road-top bus stop: so for instance, if you place a 1x1 road-top bus stop next to a 4x4 apartment block, the apartment block will be fine, but if it is next to a 1x2 row house, then the row house will abandon because of no car access. * The functional pedestrian laneway is NOT a ped-mall; it is simply a pedestrian enabled lot. If you connect two of these lots directly together, SIMs will be unlikely to cross them (that is why a ped-mall piece is used to connect lots). --------------------------------------- The bus stops are found in the misc transit menu and have a capacity of 50,000 (and support all types of vehicles: pedestrian, bus, car, freight). So while all BATs can be used on the Mac, there's 2 main issues that pop up: the nightlighting issue & the transit capacity issue on transit BATs. Up till now, the tag "mac compatible" was used for either of these issues, which means you might get a transit station that has the capacity issue resolved, but doesn't have nightlighting. Although this may be a small issue, my taxonomy compulsion demands clarity. (Also, I feel "mac compatible" may confuse the newbies, who might get the idea that the rest of the BATs can't be used on the Mac.) I propose we have some new tags to go with "Mac compatible": FMC -> Fully Mac Compatible. Nightlighting and transit capacity both work (if transit mod) (Idea for FMC from @Hamish, fellow Mac user who always makes sure their BATs are fully compatible. ) NMC-> Nightlighting Mac Compatible. Nightlighting works, uncertain or no about transit (if transit mod) TMC-> Transit Mac Compatible. Transit capacity issue resolved, uncertain or no nightlighting. Thoughts? Should I just go ahead and do it? Am I the only one who cares?

Please note that this upload is not mine, all the works in this download were created by Kazuki which were originally hosted here. Since those files are no longer available, they have been recovered here on the STEX, so people can continue to download them. This package includes a single lot that allows you to transition from the G-HSR (Ground High Speed Rail) of the NAM (Network Addon Mod) to the Subway network. It costs $400 to plop and can be found in the Misc Transport menu. DEPENDENCIES The model used is part of the NAM, which can be considered a dependency for this lot. Similarly you need to have installed it's HSR plugin to make use of it. -

Intro Included are 15 lots along with props to make 5 of your transit networks run under in-game bridges visually. The main Extender Lots have been modded as Network-->Subway converter lots, so that traffic can continue to use the networks under the bridge. Do note, since they are using the subway, those portions using these lots will not show Automata upon them. The props used for these lots will AutoMagically™ adapt to your installed Network and Sidewalk textures. Install Extract the included zip file Select Your Files MGB S3D Network Props.dat This file contains the props needed for the Underbridge set. I may make further use of these props in future. Either way, these should be considered as an included dependency for the lots in this package. zMGB S3D Network Props_Non-RRW.dat ONLY install this file, if you DO NOT use the Real Railway (RRW) from the Network Addon Mod (NAM). It contains an override for the default piece, to ensure the rail piece looks correct if not using RRW. MGB UnderBridge Lots.dat This DAT includes the necessary Lots for the Underbridge set. Anyone for Tennis? Utilising a brand new set of custom HD Tennis props from my AoT (Any One forTennis) pack, I bring you my first tennis-inspired lot, a small tennis club. Now your sims can enjoy a few relaxing sets of tennis, with proper facilities. This is a park lot which is 8x8 in size and generates a positive park effect along with raising the demand for R$$$ sims in your city. Using Paeng's park textures and Murimk's props, it keeps the character and feel of the Parks 205 set, although use of them is not a requirement. If you are using the appropriate override from my TGN (Terrain Grass NAM) mods, the grass shown on the lot will match your TGN style. Similarly, the Sandstone Sidewalks used will be optionally override-able with your sidewalk as part of my upcoming SWN (Sidewalk NAM) mods, which hopefully will be released shortly. This package contains models and two lots to allow you to switch from Rail (RRW Style) to an underground subway network. Included files MGB_RRW_DTR to Subway Ramp_453bcaf5.SC4Lot Lot file for DTR Rail to Subway converter. MGB_RRW_STR to Subway Ramp_1fc6cdcf.SC4Lot ** NEW ** Lot file for STR Rail to Subway converter. RRW Ramp_Resource.dat Required Models and Props. RRW Ramp Paths_RHD.dat Path files for RHD users. Most users should install this file. RHD is for sims driving on the right side of the road. zRRW Ramp Paths_LHD.dat Alternate path files for LHD users. DO NOT install this file unless you are using a LHD setup for SC4/NAM. LHD is for sims driving upon the left side of the road. Install Simply extract the files in the included .zip archive and place those you need somewhere in your Plugins folder. If you use my other mods, you could place these in the root of the z____MGB Mods folder, but it's not specifically required. Please ensure previous versions are removed completely before installing. It should be noted that I have amended all the original files, which should be considered as obsolete. Usage When you want to switch the rail network to subway, find a suitable space (5x1) for the ramps and place either the STR (Single Track Rail) or DTR (Dual Track Rail) variant as required. You will find these lots in the Misc. Transit menu, just after the bus stops usually. Make sure you draw rail through the lot completely to activate the paths on the ramp. Then switch to the subway tool (Shift + T), to continue the network from the ramp with subway. You can either switch to subway from here on out, otherwise you can build a second ramp for the rail to continue. Limitations As with all such lots, when you switch to subway only passenger traffic can continue through the subway. So either find another route for your freight traffic or perhaps consider using the dedicated URail pieces that come with the NAM. Due to the nature of LODs, i.e. you cannot make them below ground, the rail automata must "collide" with the LODs when entering the ramp. However, upon testing I found I preferred for the trains to enter into the ramp, despite the glitch, as opposed to disappearing at the beginning of the lot. The point being, this is not a bug. Details / Stats Cost to Plop: 2,144 Monthly Cost: 20 Bulldoze Cost: 309 Capacity: 66,000 Otherwise the lots are neutral, causing no pollution, requiring no power/road access and providing no jobs. This plugin modifies the Mayor Mode Terraforming Menu to include the God terraforming tools. This modd is identical to the PC Version except it doesn't use an installer and so is suitable for Macs. Just copy all the files in the zip (except the readme.txt) to your plugins. NOTE: This is meant to replace the Ctrl-Alt-Shift trick. That is this modd's purpose. Apple Store Fifth Avenue (Fully Mac Compatible) (Maxis Night and DarkNite) This is Apple's Flagship store on 5th Ave in Manhattan, New York. This model is the current look of the building, as it was renovated in late 2011 to reduce the number of glass panels. Through the glass box you can see the spiral stair case, the glass and aluminium elevator and of course, the famous illuminated apple logo. This is a standalone lot, and can be placed anywhere in your city. It could be used as a lone park, a buildings forecourt, or where ever you see fit. This lot also includes the ponds, a green row of trees, and the seats and tables that occupy the outside space. All of these have been rendered in HD to show the all the details that were included in the model. The lots base textures fit better with the medium wealth sidewalk textures, but the buildings purpose fits better in high wealth, so there is an option to also download a medium wealth lot if you want the sidewalk textures to match the lot textures. It provides 335 jobs in either CS$$$ or CS$$ (if you choose) and produces none to low amounts of pollution. Its a functional landmark, so you will find it in the landmarks listings. Its also Fully Mac Compatible, which means all nightlighting will work on macs as well as on PC. Dependencies, There are none, everything is custom made. BurgerFuel (Fully Mac Compatible) (Maxis Night and DarkNite) BurgerFuel is New Zealand's best burger joint. From fresh burgers to crispy fries, it has it all. If you come to New Zealand and don't go to BurgerFuel, you are really missing out. This building is a representation of what their buildings look like. Burgerfuel don't usually have stand alone buildings, however their style has been translated into this building which features their seating and their iconic blue and purple night lights. This was a building that I had waiting to be exported for a while now, and Im finally getting it into game. There are two versions, both a Maxis Night and a DarkNite. Which come in both a functional landmark and growable. Both 1x2 CS$$ lots, with 32 jobs each. No Dependencies. Five Hundred Boylston (Fully Mac Compatible) Today I bring you this creation, Five Hundred Boylston Street. Its a commercial building in downtown Boston, a post-modern building completed in 1989. It is one of the tallest buildings in Boston, and is now available for you in SimCity 4. This is the third building I have made. My main influence to create this BAT was the TV show, Boston legal. This building was used for their law firms offices, and was one of the buildings that I really wanted to BAT. In SC4 it is a high wealth commercial office and fits into a 6x5 Lot, costs $9876 to plop, and also comes in a growable version as well. Merry Christmas Simtropolis. Here is a smal present from me to you. Just a small gift of santa and his sleigh. This comes in two versions, on on the ground, and one 100m off the ground, flying. Also rendered in HD. The lots have transparent base textures, so they can be placed on any surface, at anytime of the year, although it looks better in the snow. No dependencies required. As with all of my creations, its mac compatible, and all night lighting will work for the mac version of the game, as well as the windows version. All screenshots were taken from a mac. The BeeHive (Fully Mac Compatible) The beehive is the name given to one of the buildings of parliament in Wellington, New Zealand. Its given this name because of the iconic shape, the fact that it looks like a beehive. This is a somewhat realistic recreation of the building, the real building had another huge wing, well building, next to it, but they are connected by just a corridor, and to be honest, I don't really like the rest of the building, and its not as famous as the beehive, so I don't think it will be missed very much. The lot isn't a recreation of the real thing, but in real life it is just grass, and that would become boring after a while. And hey, I made it, I can do what I like, call it my artistic vision of the building. Other than that, its pretty much the same as in real life. The building has also been rendered in HD Once again, fully mac compatible, meaning that all nightlighting will work on macs. As evidence, all photographs were taken on a mac. New World Rototuna (Fully Mac Compatible) New World is a super market brand that exists in New Zealand. This is a recreation of the store in Hamilton, in the suburb Rototuna, hence the name of the BAT. This is my work place, so I know every nook and cranny, however I have taken artistic liberty and changed a few aspects of the building that I thought were imperfect in the real model, or which would things that wouldn't show up well in SC4. Fully Mac Compatible means that it would work with all of simcitys fancy gizmos. The main thing to notice here is that the nightlighting works on the mac versions. There was never was any update for nightlighting on macs, so custom content never had working nightlighting. A fix has been known for a while now, but just never put into use due to the lack of demand. However, being a mac user, I had to make sure that these work. EDIT: I uploaded an old picture by mistake, new picture zoomed in showing cars. Details about this lot: Its a functional landmark. This modd alters the look of both Day (slightly) and Night (in far more drastic fashion) view of the game. Days gain richer more natural looking shadows, greater overall contrast and better interaction of terrain and various models (in terms of shading). Nights are now much darker and less blue/purple. Yet unlike in some other similar modds they aren't completely black-hole, pitch black. The city, vegetation and terrain are all still visible in the night, albeit just so. Installation is very simple just unzip the content of the archive into your Plugins folder and start the game. Special Note on TruNite buildings. This modd is tailor made to work with DarkNite TruNite buildings. Normal TruNite ones will look overly bright and blue. So look for special DarkNite releases! Have FUN! CROSS MONORAIL STATION My greetings from Brasil for everyone. My english is not very good, forgive me for this. Its is my first upload on STEX. I did this station for my self, and it prove to be very usefull for me, so I have decided to share it. Basically is a Monorail Station to be put in intersection of monorail lines. It will save some space since a roundabout of lines take 7x7 tiles. My BAT takes only 3x3 tiles (counting the roads) and will work as a multi-functional transit hub station (monorail, subway, bus and garage). PS: The capacity bug was fixed.
