  1. Version 1.0.0


    English The third installment in my Lat Am Project, which seeks to revive and remaster forgotten latin american content from various creators. This pack brings to you 9 lots featuring 8 building models from LBT members Elegost/Berethor07 and Tcxalapa. These are all latin american historic buildings; this pack's contents range from small hostels to the Grand Diligencias Hotel from the city of Veracruz, Mexico. They're perfect for an old city centre! There's medium and high wealth commercial services and a couple of medium wealth offices, plus a residential version for the hotels and hostels. The lots come in 2x2, 2x3, 4x3 and 4x4 lots, and develop on low, medium and high density zones. They are modded so that they only grow when the “Chicago” tileset is selected (in the building styles menu), you can control where and when to develop them this way. Ingame, they will also show the name of the building in Spanish or Portuguese if your SimCity 4 is installed in any of these languages, If it is installed in any other language the names will show in English. If you want to plop them you can use the LotPlop command and search for them between your commercial buildings, the lots follow the default naming convention. You'll need either of the avaliable Extra Cheats dlls. You can check the included bilingual documentation for a full catalogue and more info on stats and so on. Dependencies Make sure you download and install the files marked as essential in your Plugins, if you don't, you will get brown boxes instead of the actual buildings! Some textures will also be missing. The files marked as optional add details to the lots, although they're not strictly necessary, installing them is recommended to get the full detailing. However, I did give the buildings their stats and made lots for them, you can edit those lots or the descriptor files however you want, for personal use. You can't redistribute any of the included content, but you can use it to make new creations. The modding of this buildings was made using the PIM-X tool, so there shouldn't be any problem with these buildings throwing the game off balance.     Replies: SC4L0ver: Thanks! The woodland was an idea that came to me after travelling along the A66 west- random clumps of woodland in the field or on the field's perimeter. Prophet42: I would say that wild meadow scenery would work well for unused green areas inside of cities. kelistmac: The prop pox was a bummer but it was a chance to carve the right suburban/rural outline for the city. So it was a net positive. Akallan: The British Sausage is simply a pseudonym for Ln X- that's why the style is so similar. What happened was I lost everything (computer problems, think blue screen of death) and Imageshack acted up- something about payment and accessing the account. Very embarrassing! So I was left with a CJ with no pictures and vacant image links. So I decided for a fresh start: new account, rebuilt plugins, new username, new CJ, etc. Entry 8: Scenes from the City Some of these pictures feature new areas, some are different shots of older areas.   6. Good Day Guys, I love random placing commercial buildings like these below. But when the city runs abit for a while. It turns like all buildings look the same.. Like this... Below here are the commercial buildings I dont want to see.. is there anyway to stop having the same re building buildings... I like to see random and not all the same in a row... btw I am using a plop mod that allows to force $$ to build the city.

    Hey guys, I tried to look for CS $ a CO $ from stage 1 to download, but I did not find, do you know any? because I want to use BlockAllBuildings am CS and CO, but I can not find them in stage 1, so they can grow later, because Maxis's are not beautiful, because I like European style, so it does not mix, it can also be W2W, I love it W2W, can anyone fix me?

Regarding the stats of stores http://www.wiki.sc4devotion.com/index.php?title=Stores This building grows on every density, does this building have the same stats with low, medium, and high density? It doesn't make any sense to have the same number of employees with small, medium, and high density. Andrews Fashion Center for instance is a building that also grows on low density and provide more than 200 jobs. Is there a way to know how much § jobs every density building provide if that's the case?

    Another mall for those suburbs! The mall itself is made of three lots that combine to make one massive lot. Hello guys, Is there a software or site where I can check not only the stats of maxis growable buildings, but also the stats of every growth stage of every residential, commercial, and industry building. To be more clear, for instance, the car care center http://www.wiki.sc4devotion.com/index.php?title=Car_Care_Center, it comes in 3 different lot sizes. How can I find out the stats (power consumed, jobs provided, water consumed, etc...) of every lot size of this and every maxis growable?
  11. Hello guys, When I was checking the growable lot of this nightclub by using sc4 tool, I found that the "LotConfigPropertyPurposeTypes" feature of this lot is CO. The growable lot is supposed to be a commercial service one. Did @Urban Abstraction did a mistake or I don't understand what that feature exactly does? The OP last visited on March which why I chose to ask you guys.

    Replies: First of all I just want to say thank you to SC4L0ver, frdrcklim, nycsc4, Prophet42, kelistmac, T Wrecks, airman15 and Whte_rbt for their comments. I replied to most of them and I want to say thanks to T Wrecks for exploring my method of plopping residential some more. Entry 5: Another Update on Pololomia Here are twelve more pictures of Pololomia, I've considerably expanded the city and now I'm working on the border between the city and the countryside. 1. And here is Pololomia so far. Right now I am filling in the parts of the city centre which aren't complete, then I'm going to work some more on the industrial area to the left and then create some rural areas along the left side of this picture. 2. More grid-busting. 3. Suburban area close to the countryside. 4. The secret with suburbs is offsetting some sides of the suburban block with a tile or two (or more) of fillers. It's very easy to zone everything to the main road or street, but having a main road with only one (or no) side of residential can look more realistic. 5. Now we go to the city centre. 6. Loving Mattb325's new buildings- to the left is his urban school and in the centre is his First Federal Bank building. 7. In the centre of the picture is this school. 8. Using fillers I expanded the size of the school grounds and made it far more distinctive: a perimeter fence, car park, greenhouses, etc... 9. Squeezing out every last drop from FrankU's Dutch Parks! 10. The criss-crossing railways divide up the city. 11. I have changed parts of the industrial area to the northwest. Gone is the garbage dump and in its place rail sidings and a grain processing factory! 12. Making the most of Simmer2's rail sidings. The next update will probably be more rural as I move into MMP work and more organic, grid-busting sights. So stay tuned for that next weekend!

And yes I use the building plop cheat extensively in my cities. sucram17: Thank you very much! kscmidt: Virtually every RCI building has been plopped- there is a trick to get residential buildings plopped without them becoming abandoned. IL.: Thank you! Abrams124: Cheers! And I will keep going... Entry 3: There Will Be Diagonals! I have developed Pololomia considerably and I am finding it very easy to expand the city and infill areas. So without further adieu here are 16 more pictures to feast your eyes on! 1.   19. Developing the City of Pololomia

    Replies: Urban Constanta: Thank you! Odainsaker: I didn't know that- so thanks for that brief slice of urban history. I basically went for a style that is green, takes up space and has paths/parks running through these neighbourhoods. RandyE: It is harder to build extensively with diagonals because there are fewer buildings to use, but I have worked out ways of creating diagonal city blocks. As for the industry and commerce a lot of that style you were talking must be because I used Mattb325's buildings which are spacey, have green spaces and look rather modern. kschmidt: It means a lot of use of the "Make Historical" button! I used the No Maxis buildings mod and I have in my head a list of buildings which suit various themes. The "standard" you were talking about is actually growable for the green suburbs. licoricebomb: The horses can be found here- http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=2862. Entry 2: Developing the City of Pololomia In this entry I show you the current state of Pololomia and finished areas. This is a large city tile I'm working on and one which is a basic template for the style I go for when playing SC4. Enjoy! 1. So this is the city of Pololomia as it stands. In the southwest corner is the city centre, then the city fans outwards and decreases in density... 2. The W2W buildings I have used are mainly Jasoncw, NoFunk and Goofyguytpa creations which can be found on the STEX. 3. While I have found that Mattb325's creations are great for filling in city blocks which aren't necessarily W2W. 4. The W2W Buddhist temple is zero7's Z7 Temple and Stupa. 5. Every city block I create has parking in the middle, back alleys or gardens at the back which connect together. It's easy to place buildings down but it is a lot harder connecting them together- so I use car parking, trees, parks and other fillers to make each city block unique. Also MMPs are useful too for adding variety to blank texture tiles! 6. An even trickier thing to pull off is density transitions. Ideally in the centre of cities and the inner city area the buildings are at least several floors high with higher buildings dotted around. But in mid-rise areas this can be anywhere between 10 to 4 floors high with the occasional tower block. While for low-rise areas it can be anywhere from ground floor height to four floors high. 7. The secret to diagonal city building is hiding the jagged square edges of the textures. In this picture I have hidden/disguised most of the jagged square edges so that it all blends together. SFBT Diagonal Fillers and Simcoug's Diagonal Tenements are some of my preferred methods for building diagonally. 8. And now back to the inner city area and this time railways. Now railways really need to separate and divide a city. So that means walls, tunnels and bridges. Having road crossings on a railway in an inner city area is not very common. So in this picture I used FLUPS to really emphasise the railway splitting up the city, lastly every bit of the railway is bordered with fences and walls. 9. Little roundabouts can be a great cosmetic addon or architectural addon even if it's a little unrealistic. Also tight FLUPs in urban areas are some of the coolest things this game has to offer. 10. Roundabouts can also prove to be a useful means of separating streets and SAM streets... 11. In this neighbourhood I used KingOfSimCity's Maxis Mansion Overhaul mod which is incredibly cool stuff. Large lots, green areas and those FA tennis courts! 12. But it's also important to break up a themed area with other fillers: for instance WorkingManProductions Allotment set and FrankU's parks (tree fillers). 13. The next entry will show further development from Pololomia and more finished city scenes. I think this city will take four or five weeks to finish.   20. The Simtopian Dream

    _____The Simtopian Dream Simtopia features several recent models by our SC4 CGI artists, mostly commercial and residential towers, using the IRM for industrial support, and including a wide selection of floral MMPs for landscaping. I focused mainly on tall buildings, landscaping and layout, painting 2.5 GB of plugins on the SC4 canvas while running the simulator at cheetah speed in heavily-modded mode. I wanted to study how tile-sets, custom content growables and ploppables function in the simulator. In the lower right corner of the Simtopian Dream banner region is the Sky2222 on a small tile, it is the tallest fictional building I've ever found on the STEX. _____Region View _____The Eve of Simtopia Simtopia is a utopian idea inspired by civil design and philosophy as early as 320 BC in the Mediterranean. Based on the concept of justice, engineering continues to enable construction of modern architecture, civil and technological facilities worldwide and in space. Development continues toward the world conceived over 2300 years ago. _____The Dawn of Simtopia In the Gaian hypothesis as in ancient Greek mythology, the Earth is considered a living whole and Life and Cosmos are an intregrated system. Thea, meaning 'divine light', the daughter of Gaia, the mother of light, raises the city platform to begin the Simtopian day. Concrete, steel, and glass, the essential building materials of the modern world and as models rendered in SC4 reflect a high precison of their color, texture and form. The buildings are designed to be both beautiful and functional, and engineering continues to improve their strength against forces of nature as well as balancing with delicate biotics of nature. _____I. The City Life In the heart of Simtopia are the venues of civics, culture, sports and entertainment. Busy harbours and streets are kept clean by the use of hydrogen fuel and electric power. Simtopia is heavily-treed with a variety of parks and cultural sites. Factories are kept small and spaced between stores, offices and housing. A fresh-water creek meanders through town to the sea from a small mountain where physics and astronomy research facilities are placed around a public planetarium used for entertainment and education. At night Simtopians attend stadiums for sports and shows, the planetarium displays a live view of the night sky projected by a large radio telescope that filters through the city light. The model used for the large radio telescope is based on the 305 meter Arecibo Radio Telescope, the Nexis Space Ears. (A similar 500 meter radio telescope was more recently constructed in China.) Art museums, libraries, theaters and archives are arranged in walking distance like on a college campus. Elevated Inter-urban freeways connect major commercial, residential and industrial centers, buffered by tall trees, many of the tall, well-lit landmarks provide easy navigation through the city. _____II. The People Places The freeway loops around the largest stadium, a model of the air supported Tokyo Dome with a capacity of 55,000. Tokyo Dome is similar to BC Place stadium in Vancouver which has since replaced air support with a retractable roof. A busy main seaport surrounds the outdoor Bailey's Stadium, a fictional building in the corner of town with major highway neighbor connections. Simtopia is well connected to neighboring cities which are yet to be developed. Yurtec Stadium is a functional commercial venue in the tourist district where Don Miguel's world famous Barnacle Seafood Restaurant and Deppiesse's Diner can be found. The city zoo now converted to a petting zoo with small herbivores and Llamas is surrounded by hobby farms and wineries, and a farmer's market, contributing to agricultural tourism on the city's edge. A monorail train arrives at the station where visitors can begin a walking tour of the agricultural estates. _____III. Building the Dream On the other edge of town light manufacturing and high tech. begin stretching out from the freight rail station. Apply yourself to the technologies and industries of Simtopia, all applications are well-received and duly processed for the benefit and benevolence of civil society. Build a world, make it more beautiful and strong than all chaos and waste. Suffer with the light and strive against the darkness. Those are my offices there in the H1 Tower to the left. Hi there, I'm having a problem getting hotels to spawn; I'm building a gambling/culture city that is going pretty well, at the moment the city have 5 casinos (1 luxury hotel full with $$$ gambling addons, 2 sleek and 2 cheap with full $ and $$ gambling addons), all the 3 possible landmarks (Edificio Copan, Empire State Building and Sydney Opera House) and the Pro Stadium; the city have all forms of public transportation except streetcars (3 ferry and boat terminal, one train station and 1 municipal airport with 4 passengers addons and 4 runways); the city have a draw of 65k/85k with more then 1k tourist/h and it's going decently (1kk$/day profit) but I'd like to get some hotels. The problem is that no matter what I do they somehow refuse to spawn; I tried running the Sydney and Pro Stadium events everyday for quite some time, bulldozing some medium density commercial from all wealth class every day and the city is not at the beginning of year 6 but not a single hotel spawned; I could plop them with the plop mod but before doing that I'd like to get some hotels to spawn naturally. Is there anything that prevent hotels from spawning while playing offline? Am I doing something wrong or am I being just incredibly unlucky? Thanks in advance for helping, Paraffine

    I've got a folder on my desktop with all types of SimCity 4 projects I had started on and abandoned. With the completion of my B62 lots, I decided to go back through everything and clean it out. This paticular one had been lingering there for over a year; it's good to have it done, to be honest. Many thanks to @Simmer2 for making me custom bollards to use. The lot just wouldn't be complete without them. ---------------------- Installation & Use: ---------------------- Simply drag the new lots into your plugins folder. With regards toHeblem's files, see the readme for which lots can be safely deleted. Please refer to the provided image HBS_MallDelSur_Config.png (included in the *.zip) for the correct plopping orientation. As depicted on the image, all of the lots are Network Enabled with road, and lot 1A is additionally Network Enabled with Avenue.
