I installed the God Terraforming in Mayor Mode but it doesn't seem to work. I dropped the file into my Plug in folder and ran the install application. I cannot find the God features. Any suggestions?

How do I assign an item to a different menu category?
TheMurderousCricket posted a topic in SC4 Modding - Open Discussion
Hello Community. Another day, another question. My "Build parks" menu has become crowded... I have literally dozens of items there and scroll forever to find what I need! The question is - is it possible to reassign some of the items to, oh let's say, the "Build landmarks" menu? Or any other menu button for that matter? I think there is a parameter in iLives Reader which controls which menu the lots/items are assigned to. Am I right? If yes, could you kindly tell me which one is it?- 8 Replies

Hi, somewhere in my plugins is a mod that gives me these logs in my mayor mode menu. I have tried searching my entire plug in folder for which mod put these in. If anyone can direct me to a LINK for where to download them (again) I would really appreciate it. I have found the mod link for the stuff under them and above them but cannot find what download it was that gave me these. Asking so I can include a link to them in another place. I do not really want to rip apart my plugins to identify them if anyone else knows off the top of their head. Cheers!

The tutorial you're going to read is based on a discovery I made back in 2013, when I was working my final entry of My Maxis Project city journal, and by reading the title of the topic you'll be very close to what we're going to talk about. But first, let me show you a small taste of my terrible landscaping skills Let's begin from the peak of this mountain. I have a mod that reduces the altitude needed to get snow, so I can have it without the need of rising very tall mountains, and planting those snow capped trees is a brilliant to make it nice and realistic. Now, some of you might ask why there are pines with no snow on them. This is because the terrain mod I have changes its textures almost every month, including the snow, so sometimes I have more snow and other times I have less of it. Which means that if I'm at the maximum quantity of snow when I'm planting those snow capped trees, odds are at the very next month I'll have those very trees at green landscapes away from snow, which is even more silly and crazy And here are some deer, looking for something to eat. Ah, yes. Plenty of details. Until now I used to just cover my landscapes with the Maxis trees. And that's all. Now I'm going for more details and variety, and a more naturalistic result, including flowers, bushes, dead trees, logs etc. I'm actually using the alternating textures of my terrain mod as a guide to paint my happy little trees and flowers. I also made a small lake by using PEG PPOND KIT. Of course I know it's ugly and it's definitely something I need to improve. But for now, it is what it is. Some animals have come closer at the shores of the lake, including wild boars and deer. And llamas. As well as humans. And this is where the lake ends, to a larger body of water by a small river. Watch carefully and you'll see turtles, corals and fishes. By the way, speaking about humans, I even made a small park, with picnic tables, parking sites for cars, an old donkey engine, and an observation tower to enjoy the view. Look closely and you'll see a robot helping at maintaining this site. And if we'll follow the small path to the woods, we'll find a small lake to swim and have some fun. Don't jump from that big rock, though. You really don't want to dive to such a shallow lake. And a last picture. Just for the goodbye. So, we have plenty of Mayor Mod props at our city tile, so of course we're at Mayor Mode. But wait a minute. If that's true, what's going on with our UI? Why MySim Mode is deactivated, along other buttons? And why the God Mode has the original tools instead of the Mayor Mode ones? That's because... we haven't been at Mayor Mode at all, all that time! Need further proof? Here we are. We have no name in our city, because we have no city at all here. And if you click at this very tile when you're on region, you'll not get the ordinary information, because there is no city here, because this tile is at the God Mode. So, it's possible to have Mayor Mode props at a God Mode tile? Yes, it is. We're going to get down and dirty very soon, as well as exploring some of the possibilities of this. But first, just before this cliffhanging ending, here is a very basic tutorial to give it a try by yourself. 1) Go to any region you want and pick any pristine tile you please. As you can imagine, that tile should be on God Mode and it should not have any city on Mayor Mode. 2) Found a city at this tile to open the Mayor Mode toolbar, and thus having access to your MMPs. 3) Have fun painting your tile with whatever MMPs you have. Make your landscape as awesome as you want it. Make sure however that you only use MMPs and nothing else. No lots, no parks, nothing urban at all. Only MMPs. 4) Happy with the result? Have you finished customizing your tile? Are you sure you're done with it? If yes, obliterate them all! Yes, you read that right. Click at the God Mode button and select Obliterate City. This is the key of this trick. Obliteration removes any trait of civilization, such as roads and buildings, but lets any MMP untouched. And this is exactly what we want, which is also the very reason why you shouldn't add any lot or have any kind of city at this tile. No sit back and enjoy. You just have Mayor Mode props at God Mode area. Why you might want to give it a try and what kind of incredible things you can do with this is coming soon. Stay tuned and watch this space

SimCityHawk posted a topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
Hello fellow SimCity-lovers. The mod "God Terraforming in Mayor Mode" doesn't work when I have installed it. It simply doesn't show up on the left menu as it should. I have SimCity 4 Deluxe bought on steam. Does any of you know how I can make it work? Thanks in advance. You can see the mod here:- 6 Replies

Welcome back for more MMP's! Its time to introduce a wider variety of sand colors and textures therefore I bring you SM2 Sands. 8 new colors and textures in 2 sizes. Large and small. As a bonus I have included a twigs, tiny rocks and branches MMP which I named SM2 Beach Clutter. Also as an extra bonus I made a nifty little wrecked boat that can be used either above or under water. For a grand total of 18 separate MMPs! All models are in HD, they are slope conforming and will also plop underwater. (When plopping MMPs under water you may not see it plop immediately, if thats the case, please zoom out then in or rotate view and the MMPs will appear correctly) Make sandy paths, beach scenes, mountain scene, lakes scene, construction scenes etc. Making a coal mine lot? No problem! You now have black sand which can simulate coal bits and dust! Your imagination is your limit. You will find them all under your Mayor menu. No dependencies! Have fun and post some pics for everyone to see. Simmer2 -

Hello everyone. This time I bring you a set of 10 Rock MMP's to liven up your rural scenes. This pack comprises of 3 different color of "Muro Secco", its a type of "dry wall" made of local stones and are prevalent in some European countries such as Italy, France, Spain etc. The country side is dotted with them. Used as a type of fence to mark property boundaries and to hold livestock within while out to pasture. I also made 4 different color slate stone pathways, also seen in those countries to go with the ensemble. And finally I made 3 different sized and colored bedrocks. They are slope friendly and can be used under water if you so wish. You will find them in your Mayor menu. No dependencies! Have fun. Simmer2 -

Jutting 11,020 feet out of the southern Patagonian landscape, the imposing sheer granite walls of Mount Fitz Roy makes it the one of the crown jewels of southern South America. Technically challenging climbing routes coupled with notoriously bad weather makes it one of the toughest climbs in the world, but the view from the top makes it all worth it. Day 1 Our journey starts off in the sleepy little town of El Chaltén, Argentina, right at the footstep of Mount Fitz Roy. Our group meets up to discuss our routes in the upcoming days - the weather looks like it'll be manageable, but in this part of the world, that could change in the blink of an eye. We set off for Fitz Roy, and we're immediately in for a treat. The fall foliage is in full swing surrounding the misty Rio Fitz Roy, making for an absolutely gorgeous view. We won't be here long however, as the terrain quickly starts to get much more challenging. After several more miles of walking, we start to approach the base of the mountain and get our first up close view of the surrounding peaks, Techado Negro and Aguja de la 'S'. They're beautiful, no doubt - but they pale in comparison to the peak we're headed to next. Nightfall begins to set in, so we set up our tents and call it a day. Day 2 The day started off fairly easily - a straight forward climb up the mountain. However, our plans quickly got derailed when a storm approaches us, making any technical climbing an impossibility. We decide to instead take cover in a rocky outcrop and wait it out. Conditions finally improved just enough for us to continue on - and we begin to make our ascent up near-vertical granite cliffs. We had originally planned on setting up our tents on a small, flat plateau a couple hundred feet away - but due to previous setbacks, we fall behind and the darkness combined with driving rain makes any more climbing far too dangerous. We're forced to precariously hang our tents off the side of the mighty Aguja Poincenot instead. Day 3 Conditions still aren't great, but we continue to push on. The granite cliffs are coated with a thin layer of ice and storm clouds begin to roll in, making things far more dangerous than we had originally thought. However, despite the conditions, we persevere and finally reach the peak of Mount Fitz Roy. We proudly set up our Argentinian flag and take in the beautiful view - its just as good as you would imagine. Don't forget to comment, like, and follow True Earth if you haven't already! -korver

Our next stop takes us to the famous Sahara Desert - the world's largest hot desert. For thousands of years, nomads have adapted to the harsh terrain, with an extensive knowledge of the terrain being absolutely vital to their survival. Knowing exactly where each and every oasis is located is perhaps the single most important aspect to this, and we approach our first one in the Ennedi Plateau of Chad. Guelta d'Archei is perhaps the Sahara's most famous oasis, and has been used since prehistoric times, note the cave paintings on the walls. The water's distinctive black hue - caused by untold amounts of camel dung over the years - hides the lake's most dangerous species quite well, the Nile crocodile. Hopping from oasis to oasis is crucial for anyone traveling in the Sahara, and fortunately we're able to find another one just in time. The small town of Bardaï, Chad, has been an important trading post in the region for centuries. Unfortunately, droughts have ravished the landscape and the riverbed is almost completely bare. There's just enough water left over for the camels. After a month-long northern excursion in search of pastures, the caravan finally starts to head back south through the mighty Grand Erg Occidental, but not before they come face to face with one of the Sahara's greatest dangers. An enormous sandstorm engulfs the caravan, and rages on for nearly an entire day. Fortunately, by sitting to the side of their camels, they're able to lessen the blow and eventually get back on their feet. After nearly a month more of traveling, we finally reach our end destination of Djenné, Mali. Every Monday, the entire region takes part in market day - truly a sight to behold. Just under the shadow of the magnificent Great Mosque, the streets come alive with countless shoppers and market vendors, giving them the much needed opportunity to trade camels or goods. Description: This Mayor Mode Ploppable (MMP) allows you to plop various 'American Indian' props around your towns and cities. The MMP allows 11 clicks to get the desired prop and orientation you wish. The 12th click is a blank prop to cut down the need for bulldozing. Dependencies: (Only the .SC4Model files are needed) -Sami props 1 by Glenni -Totem Pole by JohnB -BSC MEGA Props Jen_P Vol01 by Jen_P Installation: Simply unzip the file and put the entire 'Indian Props MMP' folder in your plugins (don't forget the dependencies). Developer notes: This is another MMP I created a while back that was lost when SimPeg went down. If you've ever needed to depict Native tribes or other types of historical scenes, now you can! The icon will show up in your Mayor Mode flora menu. Support: For questions regarding this MMP, please feel free to visit my Modding Development Thread (SimCougs Lot&Mod Den) here on Simtropolis. Special Thanks: A very special thanks to Glenni, JohnB and Jen_P for creating and sharing these wonderful models. EDIT: I have re-named the file in order to better describe it intended use. My CJ focuses on the late 19th century, and includes a number of American Indian tribes, which is the common term in America. That is how I used this MMP - you are free to use it however you wish. I didn't intend to alert the PC police, so if I offended you, please accept my apology. However, if my apology is not enough then by all means please downrate this file to make your voice heard.- 7 Reviews

This is a set of 6 styles of covered wagons as mayor mode ploppables with both orthogonal and diagonal orientations for each, adding up to a grand total of 12 ploppables. There is also a blank prop at the end of the click wheel to make mistakes easier to correct. This set uses the excellent wagon props made by Ripptide, one of my favorite prop makers. I may release more props from his sets and others that I like as MMPs in the future. Installation To install this pack, simply copy all of the files in the package except the readme into your plugins folder. This package consists of a single .dat file, and thus the installation cannot be customized. If you do not know the general procedure for installing plugins, see this tutorial. This plugin modifies the Mayor Mode Terraforming Menu to include the God terraforming tools. This modd is identical to the PC Version except it doesn't use an installer and so is suitable for Macs. Just copy all the files in the zip (except the readme.txt) to your plugins. NOTE: This is meant to replace the Ctrl-Alt-Shift trick. That is this modd's purpose. The modd is available in 12 languages: (thanks to the people in brackets!) The game should detect which language to use automatically. SimCoug Cemetery Props MMP Description: Have you ever wanted to place tombstones without having to resort to a pre-created lot? Probably not, but if you do, then this MMP (found in the 'Mayor Mode' menu - look for the tombstone) is for you. Now you can place tombstones, sarcophagi (yep, it's totally a word dude), or crypts with the click of the mouse, anywhere you want! The MMP is organized into 9 different prop groups: -single tombstone -4 tombstones (square) -single row of tombstones -2 rows of tombstones -full tile of tombstones -single sarcophagus -2 rows of sarcophagi -single crypt -row of 3 crypts Each group has two clicks, in order to better your chances of getting the correct orientation of the prop. However, if that fails then the very last click is a blank in order to reduce the need to bulldoze. See the example image on the STEX to get an idea of the different props you will get on each click. Installation: Simply put the folder in your plugins. Dependencies: None! I'd like to thank the folks at SimPeg for their feedback and advice. Thanks goes out to Pegasus for creating these great props a while back. A total of 32 different props are organized into 4 different MMP files that can be found in the Flora section of the Mayor Menu. The four .dat files are: SmCg_Uniontroops_MMP.dat (8 Union Troop props) SmCg_Confedtroops_MMP.dat (6 Confederate Troop props) SmCg_Deadtroops_MMP.dat (10 Union/Confederate casualty props) SmCg_CivilWarBattery_MMP.dat (8 Union/Confederate artillery props) I’ve also included a blank prop at the end of each MMP to reduce the need to bulldoze if the orientation of the prop is not desirable. Dependencies: PEG MTP-CWP Union Troops Pack PEG MTP-CWP Confederate Troops Pack PEG MTP-CWP Carnage Pack PEG MTP-CWP Union Battery Pack PEG MTP-CWP Confederate Battery Pack I’d like to thank the folks over at SimPeg for their valuable feedback and the entire SC4 community for keeping this game alive after almost 10 years. MMP Roads Signage . These signboards are inspired by the European standard most of the time , but rather by the French one concerning the directional signboards . Like all MMPs , you will find them in the Mayor menu . From Citymax MMP's picture (MMP n°5 ) , the 4 last models have been removed . Except that point , all models are presented on these pictures in the order corresponding to their respective MMP range . Furthermore , they have a feature ; the latter MMP examplar is an invisible model , so with a light gap with your mouse , you can start again sequences untill you get the desired model with the proper orientation . This is a fairly in-depth MMP of CSX's Jacaranda trees created by Colyn. Included are 5 separate files any of which can function on their own or all together, so you are free to pick and choose which you would like to keep or remove. The first two are seasonal sets and require the Seasonal Flora Patch in order to function properly. If you do not plan to use the seasonals this dependency is not needed. The original prop set is a 4 stage seasonal, however due to the limitations of MMP's only 3 stages can be used. Because of this I have created two seasonal sets: SHK_CSX_Jacaranda_Seasonal_A.dat - A more realistic seasonal where the trees will drop their leaves. SHK_CSX_Jacaranda_Seasonal_B.dat - A more colorful seasonal utilizing the floral, summer and fall variances. *Note - For proper seasonal alignment, it is necessary to pause and plant on the 1st of September of the simulation clock. The remaining 3 files are individual sets for the Summer and two Floral varieties, as such they are static/non seasonal. SHK_CSX_Jacaranda_Summer.dat - Stay green all year long SHK_CSX_Jacaranda_Flower_A.dat - A bluish purple variety. SHK_CSX_Jacaranda_Flower_B.dat - A pink and purple variety. All sets have multiple trees that can be cycled through with subsequent mouse clicks. I created this MMP out of my own particular affinity with this tree, and while it's certainly not for everyone, hopefully others can now enjoy it as much as I have. Dependencies CSX MEGA Props - Vol06.dat Seasonal Flora Patch For All Terrain Mods - Only needed if using the seasonals. Credits Modding by shokthrpy. Original models by Colyn of CSX. Support If you encounter any problems please visit my BAT thread at /forums/topic/68471-plex-on-the-stex-community-support/forum/index.php?topic=9391.0 Additionally these lots will be available for download at the WorkingMan Exchange. -

This Mayor Mode Mod puts the game's Construction Site props at your disposal... anywhere you want them. They are small... and basically not very spectacular... but they go with the set & can be used to make your own construction sites or just fill in an empty spot in need of something construction-ish.. There are 9 props in total. The really small props, such as the traffic cones, which can't actually be seen by anything smaller than the Jumbotron at the local stadium... have been excluded. Also not included is the small cement mixer... which is actually large enough to be seen... but so poorly done that if the hover query didn't state that it was supposed to be cement mixer... we'd never have guessed. Like the other PEG Mayor Mode Mods, these appear as a single icon in the Mayor Mode Flora menu. They are "click-cycle" props meaning that after you plop the first one, you can click on it again to cycle through the rest of the series. You can also hold down the mouse button and scroll around... literally painting your terrain with construction props just as you would with the God Mode Tree brush. * The cycling effect is not repetitive. Once you have cycled to the last item, additional clicks will have no effect. ** This file has no dependencies. This Mayor Mode Mod puts the game's Construction Equipment right at your fingertips. Literally!! Now you can plop that heavy equiptment wherever you like... and even make your own construction sites without using the Lot Editor. No cost... no muss... just click and construct. Like the other PEG Mayor Mode Mods, these appear as a single icon in the Mayor Mode Flora menu. They are "click-cycle" props meaning that after you plop the first one, you can click on it again to cycle through the rest of the series. You can also hold down the mouse button and scroll around... literally painting your terrain with construction vehicles just as you would with the God Mode Tree brush. The game only has 4 such vehicles... so I tossed in the game's forklift as well. At least, it the same color. * The cycling effect is not repetitive. This PEG MTP Series MOD adds ploppable Scrub Brush props to your Mayor Menu. Like the other PEG Mayor Mods, this mod also uses the the click-cycle single menu icon for tidiness and ease of use. This mod is similar to the PEG Mayor Mode Forest Flora Mod... but with some very useful differences. For starters, it reuses the game's own scrub oak props normally used only by the God Mode Tree brush at very high elevations. No new props to add.... no extra game resources to grub up. Other notable differences include: 1. These plop in clusters... like the PEG Pine Clusters mod. The parameters have been modified to allow close clustering and even to overlay each other... so you can lay down a fairly thick thicket of scrub. 2. These orient to the slope. No need to worry about level ground or props hanging out in the air. If you try to plop them on too steep of a slope, they just won't plop. 3. They click-cycle in reverse... size-wise. They start big and with each subsequent click on the plopped prop, a smaller version appears. The method to this madness is thus: 4. Although the clusters are quite large, you will find that they can be plopped in rather small spaces between trees... and will fill in the gaps quite nicely. PLEASE NOTE: The cycling effect is not repetitive. Once you have cycled to the last item, additional clicks will have no effect. ** This file has no dependencies. This PEG MTP Series MOD replaces the old PEG-MTP Mayor Mode Pine Tree Mod with a single "click-cycle" menu icon that functions just like the other new PEG Mayor Mode forest mods. This mod uses the same old-style pine trees... just repackaged for easier access and a cleaner Mayor Menu. The old version of the PEG-MTP Mayor Mode Pine Tree Mod can safely be removed from your Plugins folder without affecting any trees plopped in your cities. This mod also features improved parameters for closer clustering. PLEASE NOTE: If the larger trees will not fit in the area you are trying to plop them, you will not be able to click-cycle to them. In this instance, you can only cycle through the smaller trees that fit in that location. The cycling effect is not repetitive. Once you have cycled to the last item, additional clicks will have no effect. ** This file requires the PEG-MTP Super Pack All Pegasus files are now legacy content and are no longer officially supported - however support from the wider community can be requested here. -

This PEG MTP Series Mayor Mod adds 7 new Forest Scenes to your Mayor Menu. All scenes are click-cyclable from a single Mayor Menu icon. Included in this collection: - A single Picnic Table. - A complete Picnic Area. - A small Shack or Storage Shed. - A Fire Watrch Tower. - An old Donkey Engine. - Everyone's favorite... The Moonshine Still. - And everyone's other favorite... Skinny Dippers in Hot Spring sauce. * Donkey engines were small steam engines... named after the donkeys they replaced. They were commonly used in old logging and mine operatrions, primarily as power winches to move heavy objects such as logs and equiptment. Normally, they were mounted on large, wooden skids that allowed them to be easily moved around by horses, other donkey engines.. or even by themselves. Most were abandoned when the operations closed down and many can still be found out in the woods in various stages of decay. * The Fire Watch Tower has an underground foundation that allows it to plop well on most sloped terrain. The foundation will "dig in" and blend realistically on most slopes or uneven terrain. * The Moonshine Still has its own terrain on part of the scene... and like most of these scenes, should not be plopped on steep slopes. And yes... that is me diligently standing guard over the operation. Although there are 5 different sizes/styles of tree... you will find only one icon in your Mayor Menu. After clicking on the icon and plopping the tree, additional clicks on the plopped tree will cycle through the other available trees. It may require a few extra clicks to get the exact tree that you want, but this menu cycling method should keep your Mayor Menu from getting overly cluttered. PLEASE NOTE: If the larger scenes will not fit in the area you are trying to plop them, you will not be able to click-cycle to them. In this instance, you can only cycle through the smaller scenes that fit in that location. The cycling effect is not repetitive. Once you have cycled to the last item, additional clicks will have no effect. ** This file has no depenencies. This PEG MTP Series Mayor Mod adds some extra smaller forest plants that you can plop around your forest. Like the other MTP Mayor Mods, this mod also uses the single menu icon click-cycle method to conserve menu space. PLEASE NOTE: If the larger plants will not fit in the area you are trying to plop them, you will not be able to click-cycle to them. In this instance, you can only cycle through the smaller plants that fit in that location. The cycling effect is not repetitive. Once you have cycled to the last item, additional clicks will have no effect. ** This file has no dependencies. All Pegasus files are now legacy content and are no longer officially supported - however support from the wider community can be requested here.
