Pirie St Adelaide, by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- Loosely based on a refurbished building in Adelaide, this larger style W2W building is 8 floors tall. Solar panels, floor-to-ceiling glass and a modern soft blue-grey colour scheme complete the look. This medium-wealth building sits on a 2x4 corner lot that will grow on all tilesets. Goulburn St Fire Station, by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- This small W2W fire station is modeled on the old salvation army hall on Sydney's Goulburn St. I am often asked for 'ye olde worlde' type buildings, and this one, with its ornate detailing along the street frontage and little tower with a statue fits the bill nicely. Despite its small size, it has two dispatches and an expanded coverage radius. Being fire station, it is found in the fire menu. The building provides employment for 17 Sims. --------------------------------------- STATS: Lot size : 2x2 Plop Cost: §540 Monthly Cost: §190 Budget Item: Fire Protection/ Fire Department Occupant Groups: Civic, Fire, Strikeable Fire, BSC, BSC-Mattb325, BSC-W2W Demand Created: Jobs§: 13, Jobs§§: 4, Jobs§§§: 0. 9. Burberry Chicago

    Version 1.0.0

    3,143 Downloads

Burberry Chicago, by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- A request from a fellow SC4 player, Burberry Chicago is an eye-catching little W2W building. A nice segue to the recent Japanese Bats that I released recently with their highly decorative facades, the Burberry Chicago flag-ship store shows that this facade trend is certainly not limited to the Ginza shopping strip in Tokyo. The Burberry flag-ship store uses highly polished and reflective surfaces in the classic tartan (or check) style that is associated with the Burberry label, but these are rotated on a 45 degree angle across a black backdrop for maximum impact. To further enhance the drama, blue LED lighting is contained within the edges of the polished layers, which, when reflected and refracted by steel, mirror and glass, create an ethereal, other-worldly glow. I have taken some liberties with the building. Polished surfaces are particularly challenging in SC4 (as the game doesn't actually have its own rendering engine). Additionally, the minute scale of SC4 buildings mean that some of the details were omitted completely, to achieve the watery, reflective look of the building both during the day and the night. It is offered as a growable only CS§§§ 2x1 and 1x2 covering both corner lots. If you want it as a ploppable, search for buggis extra cheats which will make it, plus every other building in game available to plop from a drop down menu. --------------------------------------- STATS CS§§§: Lot size : 1x2, 2x1 Growth Stage: 4 & 5 (Medium & High Density Zoning) Bulldoze Cost: § 349 Capacity Satisfied: CS§ 250, CS§§ 65, CS§§§ 28 Pollution: 1 (Air)/ 1 (Water)/ 4 (Garbage ) Pollution Radius: 5/6/0 Power Consumed: 8 Mwh Water Consumed: 68 Gal/Month Building Style: Chicago, New York, Houston, Euro Occupant Group: High Wealth CS --------------------------------------- NOTE ABOUT DARK NITE vs MAXIS NITE: There are two model files in this download. 10. LSG Bucharest

    Version 1.0.0

    1,901 Downloads

LSG, by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- This is a modern Wall to wall (W2W) building from Bucharest, Romania. The real life version is a strikingly curious charcoal grey and white building with many projections and boxes jutting out from the facade lit by red neon. I have taken liberties with the structure to adapt it to a 1x1 footprint, as this size building is lacking in SC4. Certainly if you want to have competition for the likes of the in-game 'Paull Inc', 'Bain Brothers', 'Retail Stores', 'Boutiques', 'Deppiesse's Diner 'or the '6 Floor Fashion Center', then 1x1 size buildings are a must to break up the monotony of that size commercial footprint. At 6 floors (only 5 of which are usable office space; the ground floor being used for a lobby and car parking), this modern building will still blend in with older, traditional streetscapes (as per the pictures which show a variety of new and old BATs) and is offered as a Commercial Services growable 1x1 lot for medium and high density zones. --------------------------------------- STATS CS§§: Lot size : 1x1 Growth Stage: 6 (Medium & High Density Zoning) Bulldoze Cost: § 353 Capacity Satisfied: CS§ 133, CS§§ 36 Pollution: 1 (Air)/ 1 (Water)/ 4 (Garbage ) Pollution Radius: 5/6/0 Power Consumed: 3 Mwh Water Consumed: 35 Gal/Month Building Style: Chicago, New York, Houston, Euro Occupant Group: Medium Wealth CS --------------------------------------- NOTE ABOUT DARK NITE vs MAXIS NITE: There are two model files in this download. 11. Tasaki Tokyo

    Version 1.0.0

    3,019 Downloads

Tasaki, by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- This is a Wall to wall (W2W) building from the main shopping street in Tokyo's Ginza district that caught my eye. The Tasaki store has hundreds of slender light-boxes in various metallic shades attached to the main elevation which adds a bit of flair to an otherwise standard offering. Theses shimmering light-boxes give the building facade the effect of a lustrous pearl, which is apt, given that Tasaki is a high end jeweler. Additionally, I have pared back any overtly Japanese imagery to ensure that this building will work equally well in either an Eastern or a Western styled city. In the real building, the party walls are blank, but I have included windows and billboards in this version to enable the building to work well in either a W2W streetscape or in a more open downtown environment where you don't want to see a big blank wall! At 9 floors, this will still blend in with older, traditional streetscapes (as per the pictures which show a variety of new and old BATs) and is offered as a growable 1x1 lot for medium and high density zones on the Houston tileset only to ensure that it does not become weedy. --------------------------------------- STATS CS§§§: Lot size : 1x1 Growth Stage: 6 (Medium & High Density Zoning) Bulldoze Cost: § 564 Capacity Satisfied: CS§ 202, CS§§ 53, CS§§§ 23 Pollution: 1 (Air)/ 1 (Water)/ 4 (Garbage ) Pollution Radius: 5/6/0 Power Consumed: 6 Mwh Water Consumed: 56 Gal/Month Building Style: Houston Occupant Group: High Wealth CS --------------------------------------- NOTE ABOUT DARK NITE vs MAXIS NITE: There are two model files in this download. GUCCI, by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- This is a Wall to wall (W2W) building from the main shopping street in Tokyo's Ginza district that caught my eye. The GUCCI store has a stepped calacatta marble facade treatment on the main elevation which adds a bit of flair to an otherwise standard offering. It is a corner building. Additionally, I have pared back any overtly Japanese imagery to ensure that this building will work equally well in either an Eastern or a Western styled city. In the real building, the party walls are blank, but I have included windows in this version to enable the building to work well in either a W2W streetscape or in a more open downtown environment where you don't want to see a big blank wall! 13. Yamaha Building, Tokyo

    Version 1.0.0

    3,479 Downloads

Yamaha Building, by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- This is a taller Wall to wall (W2W) building from the main shopping street in Tokyo's Ginza district that caught my eye. It is not a strict recreation - the 16m2 constraints of SC4 make that too challenging - but is a reasonable interpretation. I liked the unique, stain glass and random triangular glass addition to the facade. The triangular glass is in front of the standard windows and is a mix of gold, red, brown, white and clear glass. At night it makes the entire building look like a dazzling jewel box. Salvatore Ferragamo, Tokyo, by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- This is a corner Wall to wall (W2W) building from the main shopping street in Tokyo's Ginza district that caught my eye. It is not a strict recreation - the 16m2 constraints of SC4 make that too challenging - but is a reasonable interpretation. The main shopping streets of Ginza have a huge variety of taller W2W buildings and are constantly receiving facade updates to keep up with the latest fashions and trends. Salvatore Ferragamo's Tokyo flagship store is no different, having received a striking, randomly arranged, ribbed bronze and copper-paneled makeover a few years ago. Together with the staggered LED light box strips, this treatment gives the building a feeling of the interior of a luxury bespoke custom dressing room. 15. Tokyo Ginza gCube Building

    Version 1.0.0

Ginza gCube, by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- This is a taller mid-rise Wall to wall (W2W) building from the main shopping street in Tokyo's Ginza district that caught my eye. It is not a strict recreation - the 16m2 constraints of SC4 make that too challenging - but is a reasonable interpretation. I liked the dramatic, sweeping, almost oculus treatment of the different metals along the front facade which make for an eye-catching (pun intended) modern design to an otherwise boring box of a building. At 13 floors, this will still blend in with older, traditional streetscapes (as per the pictures which show a variety of new and old BATs) and is offered as a growable 1x2 lot for medium and high density zones on the Houston tileset to ensure that it does not become weedy. --------------------------------------- STATS CS§§: Lot size : 1x2 Growth Stage: 6 (Medium & High Density Zoning) Bulldoze Cost: § 735 Capacity Satisfied: CS§ 366, CS§§ 94, Pollution: 3 (Air)/ 2 (Water)/ 4(Garbage ) Pollution Radius: 5/6/0 Power Consumed: 8 Mwh Water Consumed: 91 Gal/Month Building Style: Houston Occupant Group: Medium Wealth CS --------------------------------------- NOTE ABOUT DARK NITE vs MAXIS NITE: There are two model files in this download. The Nag's Head Pub, by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- This is your typical quaint English style pub, complete with a quaintly unusual name. The 'Nag's Head' is a surprisingly common name for pubs in both the UK and Australia. A 'Nag' in old fashioned parlance simply refers to a horse that has outlived its usefulness and is quite distinct from the modern usage of the word. The building is offered as a CS§§ growable with two lot variants: a 2x1 and a 2x2 for low, medium and high-density zones providing 23 jobs. --------------------------------------- STATS CS§§: Lot size : 2x1 & 2x2 Growth Stage: 1 & 2 (Low, Medium & High Density Zoning) Bulldoze Cost: § 238 Capacity Satisfied: CS§ 81, CS§§ 23 Pollution: 1 (Air)/ 1 (Water)/ 4(Garbage ) Pollution Radius: 5/6/0 Power Consumed: 2 Mwh Water Consumed: 23 Gal/Month Building Style: Euro/Chicago/New York/Houston Occupant Group: Medium Wealth Commercial Services Building --------------------------------------- NOTE ABOUT DARK NITE vs MAXIS NITE: There are two model files in this download. 17. Entry 30 -- Pololomia- City Centre South

Entry 30: Pololomia -- City Centre South This entry is pretty self-explanatory but I had a lot of fun completing this area as I used FLUPs, NWM, railways, W2W blocks and all kinds of fillers to give the southern part of the city centre a great feel and look. I will also be providing a lot of links so you know where I get these buildings and lots from! 1. As I've explained in previous entries the city tile of Pololomia represents one quarter of a city (one quarter of a circle), since I don't build regions because it takes too long just finishing off one large city tile... 2. A lot of the commercial W2W buildings are from Goofyguytpa's, Jasoncw's and NoFunk's W2W buildings. They make for excellent commercial fillers. 3. Goofyguytpa's buildings can be recognized for their dirty, rustic and grungy qualities- https://community.simtropolis.com/profile/8691-goofyguytpa/content/?type=downloads_file 4. Reddonquixote's Palais Theatre is so incredibly distinctive and one of my favourite W2W buildings to use- https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/29067-palais-theatre-melbourne-australia/ 5. 6. For the residential areas to the right I decided to mix in Aaron Graham's NYT buildings with W2W British BATs and Jasoncw's Warwick Square BATs- https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/30880-warwick-square/ 7. It's an odd mix but somehow it works! 8. This area is a very interesting one because it's split from the rest of the city by the railways. 9. The only means of access are the railway tunnels. 10. The bottom left of this picture is chock full of Mattb325's buildings. 11. The great thing about Mattb325's buildings is that they blend in with both European and American BATs. 12. 13. Jasoncw's Perry Station- the railway station. 14. This is my favourite railway station because it is W2W on both sides. Link here- https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/19328-perry-station/ 15. 16. 17. A lot of the realism and "fillers" comes from the detailed lots themselves. 18. The main purpose of the fillers I place is to compliment the lots very subtly. 19. For instance this IHT factory is a 6x6 lot but it doesn't come with a parking lot, so I included one with KingOfSimCity's parking fillers- which also share the same concrete ground textures. 20. Compliment building lots and infill the backalley areas of city blocks- that's how I work after I've placed in buildings. 21. nos. 17's relot of the CM Centre Commercial building- https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/31220-cm-centre-commercial-remade/ 22. 23. The building in the top-left is a relot, by Fantozzi, of Mattb325's Karlsruhe Courthouse- https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/31922-bundesanwaltschaft-karlsruhe/ 24. Mattb325's WanWan apartments- the 8x8 lot is incredible! Link here- https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/31628-wanwan-apartments/ 25. 26. Spa's Canada Broadcasting- https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/20325-canadian-broadcasting-centre/?page=3 27. Having a T21 mod for AVE-4 (NWM road) brings this road to life! 28. A generous spread of Aaron Graham's NYT buildings on display here! 29. 30. It is surprising how close low-density areas (small building heights) can be to city centres! 31. 32. It may be small buildings to the left, but they are small tightly packed! 33. Once more making use of T Wrecks 5X5 residential relots. 34. 35. The most realistic fillers are woodland and carparks. 36. 37. One final overview of Pololomia's southern part of the city centre. Well that's that for this entry, the next entry is very rural as this area is just beyond the outskirts of Pololomia!

First building in about 7 years, being a little out of practice i figured I'd choose something nice and simple. A basic 1960s building, fit for European wall to wall environments. 19. Greeeeeeetings, all - Welcome to my humble hut, here I'll present my current BAT projects, old projects that i rescued from the depths of eternal damnation and oblivion, as well as various other side projects, such as Automata models (models for the vehicles that drive around in the game) It's nice to be back into this, It's been over 7-8 years since I last touched a model. And as you'd expect I am a little out of practice, I'm trying to learn all the little tricks and doohickeys in 3ds Max 2011. Aside from that I do have something to show for now, I figured I'd start with something simple, so here's your average filler 1960s concrete building. Now as you can see, It has some render issues on the side there, suppose I'll have to remodel some stuff, it doesn't seem to like the model for the sidewall very much, Mighty funky indeed. Close up, just 'cos they look cool.
  20. Tcx HD-Darknite Mini Pack

    Version 1.0

    670 Downloads

English This is a mini pack including four growable lots: three medium wealth commercial offices, and one medium wealth residential; they all develop in medium and high density zones. The original versions made by Tcxalapa (Tcx) were only avaliable as ploppable landmarks with jobs. This upload is meant to complement those lots, you can use these versions along with the originals if you so wish (and why wouldn't you? just look at the models ). Three of the buildings are wall-to-wall, all of them are HD models. Also, they were made to be used with SimFox's Day n'Nite mod. (They're not for Maxis Nite, and there's no Maxis Nite version, sorry) The lots are similar to the originals and have the same size, but the stats of these versions are calibrated in a different way, to ensure they play along nicely with the simulation. Dependencies Make sure you download and install the files indicated here in your Plugins. You need to be registered in the LEX at SimCity4 Devotion (separate account than the forums) Only the .SC4Model files are strictly necessary, you can discard the rest of the files (unless you also want the ploppable landmarks with jobs) Edificio AQP Model Additional dependencies (same as the original version) BSC Mega Props SG Vol 1 Edificio LAN Miraflores Model Additional dependencies for this re-lot BSC Mega Props SG Vol 1 SCILT (SCILT is a pack of textures with several versions, choose the one that better matches the texture of your sidewalks; if you don't use any mod to alter this, choose the Maxis default version) Despachos Kreati Model Residencial San Cristobal Model Notes I did not make the models and do not claim any credit for them, all credit goes to Tcxalapa. However, I did give the buildings their stats and made lots for them; you can edit those lots or the descriptor files however you want, for personal use. You can't re-distribute any of the content included here without my permission. For that same reason, it's not in my hands to make a Maxis Nit version, the only originally avaliable version is DarkNite. The modding of this buildings was made using the PIM-X tool, so there shouldn't be any problem with these buildings throwing the game off balance. If you run into any issues, or want to see other things I'm working on, you can pay a visit to my lot thread here in Simtropolis, you can also PM me if you want. Enjoy! Español
  21. Hey all, this is my first time posting on the C:S forum. Being an architecture student and urban design enthusiast, I have come to love this game and the fruits of its massive modding community. I've decided to dive into asset creation myself a couple weeks ago by learning Blender and model importation into C:S with the ultimate goal of creating a collection of "Main Street"-style American storefront assets. After a frustrating week and a half, I successfully uploaded a test model with a diffuse texture a couple days ago into the asset editor. Following tutorials on YouTube and elsewhere, I created a diffuse map via baking, but as you all can see (and I have later found out) this method should only be used for making LODs as the quality in game is pretty bad. Ideally, the model should be textured like this. Right now I'm kind of at a loss of what to do next in order to create an acceptable texture map for my first building. My question is how would I make a quality textured UV map in Blender that can be exported directly into the game? Another way to phrase this question is what is the procedure for creating finished UV maps such as these from the author Avanya? Or am I forced to export the UV layouts to gimp/photoshop and texture them there? I know there are many skilled authors with knowledge of Blender modeling and texturing that frequent here, so I ask if at least one could guide me through this rough patch; it would be massively appreciated. Here's a pic of my model's untextured uv map in Blender. What should be my next move? Thanks in advance, If I can figure out how to remedy this issue I look forward to contributing to the C:S community.

Brief Introduction This mini pack consists of medium wealth homes based on real life houses located in the traditional commune of Providencia in Santiago, Chile. These house were designed to fit in a W2W urban environment, just like in real life. Basic information - Lot sizes: 1x2 (corner), 1x1 (corner), 2x2 and 2x1. - Stages: 2, 3 and 4. - Tileset: all. Dependencies - Only one (which I'll stick to for future projects): Note I've included several versions for the corner house (last model in the pictures), so that you can choose which one to delete, if any. - R$$ Casa Julio Prado AMARILLO CALAMINA - Yellow version with tin roof. Like in real life. - R$$ Casa Julio Prado AMARILLO TEJAS - Yellow version with roof tiles. - R$$ Casa Julio Prado BLANCO CALAMINA - White version with tin roof. Like in real life. - R$$ Casa Julio Prado BLANCO TEJAS - White version with roof tiles. Furthermore, I've included R$$$ versions since in real life the house is located in the commune of Providencia, home to upper middle income and high income families. The meaning of the R$$$ versions is the same as above. If you feel like these houses don't look like R$$$ homes, then simply delete the "R$$$..." folders. I recommend you to abstain from deleting the "R$$..." folders since they contain the sc4model files. You can follow my work here. Enjoy!
  25. R$ Pack Santiaguino 1

    Version 1.0.2

    1,392 Downloads

I present to you my first housing pack based on various old buildings throughout Santiago, Chile. These are all low-wealth, low density residential w2w houses. They grow on 1x1 and 1x2 lots. There are a total of 34 unique lots, as you can see in the pictures. If you like these houses, you may also like my other BATs that I'm currently working on. You can check them out here. If you have any questions, or comments, please let me know! Edit: I noticed I used an old picture for the primary screenshot. The textures on the last picture for the last set of houses are the final version, not the ones on the main picture. This is the only slight difference. Edit 2: ...I also noticed that I've uploaded this file to the wrong category. It should fall under "SimCity 4 Buildings (BATs)".
