Once again, I redid a legacy BAT from my BLaM days. This is Steinsås Tårnet, or translated from Norwegian, Stone Ridge Tower a typical smaller midrise that curves nicely around a corner lot in your dense wall to wall environments! The original building was from 2006 - while the model itself looked solid enough, it did lack in a few areas. I redid the paraphet walls, adding more detail, making them a nice oxidised copper finnish. Completely redone nightlights, now the large visible interior spaces have omnis, not just nightmaps. All new glass textures, and I removed the modeled base for it, making it easier for anyone to relot. Redone interiors, more detail, more furniture. Textures are now lighter, and there's more detail in them. The roof was redone from a simple copy and paste of roof junk, to more purposeful, and realistic looking items. The bare rear and side walls of the tower have now been changed to be more mechanical looking, given that most of the tower won't be visible from street level. it now includes fans, ducts, pipes, aircondition units, cell phone equipment, etc. You can still keep the original if you wish, this new version will not override it. =) Former version from 2006: https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/17076-blam-steinsaas-taarnet/ Stats: Glenni - Steinsaas Taarnet v2022 lot size... 4x3 Co$$ Growable Commercial Office Grow Stage: 7 Jobs: Co$$ - 1647 Pollution at Center and radii: Air: 6/5, Water: 6/5, Garbage:4/0, Flammability: 40 Max Fire Stage: 4 Power Consumed: 33 Water Consumed: 339 Construction Time: 85 Bulldoze Cost: 859 Building Styles: Euro, Houston Co$$$ Growable Commercial Office Grow Stage: 6 Jobs: Co$$$ - 1153 Pollution at Center and radii: Air: 6/6, Water: 6/7, Garbage:4/0, Flammability: 35 Max Fire Stage: 4 Power Consumed: 47 Water Consumed: 509 Construction Time: 88 Bulldoze Cost: 886 Building Styles: Euro, Houston Co$$ Ploppable Landmark (you can find it in the Landmark Menu) Commercial Office Jobs: Co$$ - 1647 Plop Cost: 4000 Bulldoze Cost: 859 Pollution at Center and radii: Air: 6/5, Water: 6/5, Garbage:4/0, Flammability: 40 Max Fire Stage: 4 Power Consumed: 33 Water Consumed: 339 Install instructions: Place the files/folder into mydocuments/simcity4/plugins I recommend just simply placing the "Glenni" folder as it is in your plugins folder. That way you can easily organise my content. As these are GMAX renders, there is no Darknite version. There are extra images in the archive, no need to keep these if you don't wish to do so. Dependencies: None. Custom trees and parked cars visible in the screenshots are from override mods on existing maxis props in my game. without these, the props will just simply be default props within maxis prop families. Credits: Thank you to Tyberius06 for modding; making the growable lots, ploppable lots with jobs, and for starting the process of getting me to remaking this building to begin with. =) -

First building in about 7 years, being a little out of practice i figured I'd choose something nice and simple. A basic 1960s building, fit for European wall to wall environments. Greeeeeeetings, all - Welcome to my humble hut, here I'll present my current BAT projects, old projects that i rescued from the depths of eternal damnation and oblivion, as well as various other side projects, such as Automata models (models for the vehicles that drive around in the game) It's nice to be back into this, It's been over 7-8 years since I last touched a model. And as you'd expect I am a little out of practice, I'm trying to learn all the little tricks and doohickeys in 3ds Max 2011. Aside from that I do have something to show for now, I figured I'd start with something simple, so here's your average filler 1960s concrete building. Now as you can see, It has some render issues on the side there, suppose I'll have to remodel some stuff, it doesn't seem to like the model for the sidewall very much, Mighty funky indeed. Close up, just 'cos they look cool.

I just Played SimCity 4 for the first time in almost 8 years... No mods installed, just the base game, but a wave of nostalgia hit me. It even put tears in my eyes to see it back, but they were tears of joy. Back in 2011, one of the main reasons I quit was that my computer failed, and I couldn't get a backup of my plugins, BAT textures and models files. On top of that, I didn't have a computer that could actually run the game, just a weezy little netbook. I had older backup copies, but they dated back to 2008, that was close to 3 GB of lost content, my own lot edits for my cities, etc. Plus an unknown number of forever lost BATs.It kind of put an end to my enjoyment for a while - but thankfully i turned out i DID have a more recent backup, I found an external hard drive, with a backup that rolled me back a couple months back from the crash, meaning I only lack a couple things. First I plan to just get used to the game and community again, as well all the new content. The hundreds, if not thousands of new buildings, flora, cars, familiarise myself with the new (to me) NAM V.36 etc. There is a ton of groundbreaking things I've never seen, to get used to. To mention some; dynamic weather mods, dynamic water mods, and a slew of things that back then I thought was never going to be possible in SimCity 4. Let me tell you that it is awesome to see this community still at it though, and my plan is to start BATting, uploading, and showcasing city journals again, just like old times!.

Included are nine ploppable bridges and 11 lots, featuring props originally made by Glenni. I have taken the models and re-mastered the lots/modding, in an attempt to make them more user friendly and give better in-game results. Here are some of the changes I've made: Added special S3D props (included), to prevent the water bug from appearing. Ensuring the bridges preview correctly. Removed the foundations from the models. Improved the menu placement/descriptions and icons. Transit Enabled (TE) those bridges I felt worked better that way, to work with the Street Addon Mod (SAM) sets 3 & 4. Note: This is to provide visual continuity, it's impossible to make such models work as fully functioning bridges. IMPORTANT NOTE: You will have to decide if you wish to use the original lots or mine, it is NOT possible to keep both. Due to the extensive changes, including altering the original prop exemplars, I have made this into a replacement set. If you are already using the original bridges in your cities, they must be removed before installing this set. Dependencies Optional - Needed for Stone Arch Bridges Only: BSC TSC girafe French Road Signs Usage All the bridge lots should be tightly grouped together and can be found in the Parks menu, under the Maxis items (after the Plazas and whatnot). They all have minimal plop costs, between $25 and $51, but otherwise are totally neutral lots, with no power/water needs and no benefits or upkeep costs. For further details, please see the included readme file. Thanks A big thank you to Glenni, who gave me permission to include the Bridge Models as part of the upload. -

Yes, I'm still around, you haven't gotten rid of me quite yet! ^.^ This is Farngaten 18, a building i made based on a building in Urtegata, Oslo. i chose this one as i thought the iron detailing and spire would be a nice addition to w2w cities. It comes as a Landmark without jobs in either normal or diagonal version, and as a Growable R$$ at medium density. Stats: Landmark: Mostly standard stuff 2x1 normal lot 1x1 lot where the model overhangs Growable: Grows in Euro and Chicago tileset. Medium Density, Stage 5. 110 occupants, 130 when downgraded to R$ Dependencies: NDEX Mega Props Vol 1 Install it to mydocuments\SimCity 4\plugins using either WinRAR or any other .ZIP programs. This is what happens when i am bored; look at other people's buildings on the STEX, and get ideas in my head. This is Ill Tonkso's Birmingham Rotunda. A skyscraper that on the original sits on a normal lot. By experimenting a little, I found out that it could also be used for diagonal purposes. And thus you have my results here. I made this for my own useage, but since i thought it would be handy for others i figured i might as well release this. Dependencies: ITS Birmingham Rotunda (required, there's no point in downloading this relot, without downloading this!) Porkie props vol1 -

This is a remake of the old Radisson SAS Oslo Plaza model i released a few years ago. I cut a lot of the base, giving it a much more compact look ( not that i ever really liked Galleri Oslo which is a mall attached to this in real life), though it's still a quite large skyscraper footprint wise, as it is in real life. As the real one it has 37 floors, functions as a hotel for the Raddison BLU hotel chain. Upon completion and to this day it remains the tallest building in Oslo and Norway. It's still a GMAX BAT, so there's no fancy reflections like you'd get in 3dsmax, but i tried giving it a decent city reflection texture, without it being too noticeable, so that it may blend in in most settings. Stats: LM, functions like most landmarks, nothing much to say there, no jobs. 6x3 lot CS$$: Has 1700 occupants, if downgraded to CS$ it's 2000, stage 5 growable, sits on a 6x3 lot. Water consumed is 6. Power consumed is 6. Dependencies: Porkie props Vol 1 Enjoy. -

Here's a small pack of playgrounds based on the designs of playgrounds from the Soviet Union, with classic play equipment such as miniature tanks, and murals on the walls. They come in three lots: Small 1x1 Medium 1x2 Large 2x2 And on a side note; Civility is expected on the STEX, if you hold grudges towards the Soviet Union, don't berate my upload for it, i'm just simply recreating some of the structures and buildings built there. Heavily based on a building in the waterfront district in my hometown, Haugesund, Norway, which is the primary nightime entertainment area here. I don't know much about this building to be honest, it was probably built in the early 1900's or late 1800's. As the name says, this is pretty much a very decayed building, with visually only a few tenants left ( though with 60 jobs to keep it more or less with the game buildingsize>number of jobs logic in order to avoid it popping up everywhere if say it had 4 jobs) Not much to say else, except it's an old bat with some redone textures, formerly made for my communistic country CJ which went inactive. Another really old model; if you have been on ST long enough, you may remember the Sym productions modular university kit that was in the making, that never materialised, but i had several models left from my effort in that project. Now here's an old one, I've had the GMAX scene for this one sitting on my PC for far too long, and thus i decided to finish it. It's basically a simple 1970's concrete highrise. Good for urban or suburban office development. The Landmark lot holds a more open and widespread look to it, ideal for European suburbs. While the growable is fit for the more urban setting. Texturing's not the best on this one, since i decided to finish it rather quickly. Growable: Growth Stage: 3 Density: High R$$$: 1500 inhabitants Landmark: Default stats, except it costs 0 a month. and it costs 5000 or around that. Just a basic concrete building I made quickly, so don't expect any fantastic quality here. It has a logo for the human resource multinational corporation; Adecco on top, just randomly chosen, so it's not based on a real building. Either way as usual for diagonals the model overhangs, it can be a bit tricky to place, but with some practise you'll find it easy. Since I don't know how to do landmarks with jobs you'll just have to take the static landmark. Stats are just basic Landmark stats. No dependencies (well it has no props, now does it?)
