About This File

Goulburn St Fire Station, by Mattb325.
---------------------------------------

This small W2W fire station is modeled on the old salvation army hall on Sydney's Goulburn St. I am often asked for 'ye olde worlde' type buildings, and this one, with its ornate detailing along the street frontage and little tower with a statue fits the bill nicely.

Despite its small size, it has two dispatches and an expanded coverage radius.

Being fire station, it is found in the fire menu. The building provides employment for 17 Sims.

NOTE ABOUT DARK NITE vs MAXIS NITE:

There are two model files in this download. You must select the appropriate file from the download. The file suffixed with 'DN' is for those users with a night-time darkening mod installed. The file suffixed with 'MN' is for users who do not have any such mods installed.

If you are unsure whether you have a night-darkening mod installed, then choose the Maxis night version.

If you use the dark nite version, you will need a dark nite mod. (http://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/23089-simfox-day-and-nite-modd/)

As an old Sydneysider your attention to these old buildings is exceptional. So many memories of my youth.

Thanks Matt

Ah yes, I love the details of the facade, particularly the central statue. Another gem! I also like the fact that you provide the Maxis night choice. Perhaps I'll turn my last fire wagon into a prop to go with your lovely station! *

On a side note, I'll join those nagging you for more period buildings. For example, more Victorian row houses could fill my cities with your beautiful creations. *:DAlways nice to see you churn out more, Matt!

I believe i have got more from this superb work, especially after i have been able to handle most of tricks of modeling, Then some others became more important, i mean all those stuffs which could make one Lot to be harmony, It's a shortcut to me without much experience. so @mattb325, i need more of your works, since i'm not only playing with them, i'm learning from them.*:thumb:

Yours,
