    A cozy little low rise apartment in Denver I saw on the The Shining TV miniseries (thanks to @sarcosis for reminding me where I saw it). I have never been to Denver so I can't add much other than it seems like a decent little neighborhood it is located in. Like most in game apartments it is a 3x2 lot, this one I made into R$ since it looks older and quite plain. Not really sure what else to add, I gave it standard boring night lights but I might go back and give it a manually lit interior at some point.

    Telegraph Hill Apartments, by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- Loosely inspired by a new-build set of apartments in Boston, these apartments are a good low-rise option to bridge the gap between row-houses and other small medium-density development and the taller apartment blocks that are typically found with custom content. At 5 floors, this building is made of mixed materials typical of the modern palette: chocolate brown bricks and gun metal grey aluminium cladding define the bulk of the structure while highlights are provided by cedar paneling. The lots are offered in two medium wealth variants: a single 4x2 and a double 4x4 lot. Angled walls and elevations make an otherwise bland little building somewhat more interesting.     Columbia Savings Bank, by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- This little gem of a building on the Miracle Mile was completed in 1965 and sadly demolished in 2010. It was an important example of post-war bank architecture as well as an innovative integration of art and architecture (which is so typical of many of the buildings along Wilshire Blvd). It takes up most of the right-hand corner lot: 2x3 as a high-wealth commercial services (CS§§§) offering. It is offered as a growable only - on the american tilesets - and competes well with many of the Maxis low-rises.     Hilton Garden Inn Suburban Edition, by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- With all of the recent high-rise hotels that I have made to fill the lack of CS§§ content, I suppose it's only fair to do some others for the suburban space. This building is inspired by one of the many Hilton Garden Inn Hotel in the Carolinas (it doesn't matter whether North or South, the architecture is similar along the mid-atlantic states). Despite being 6 stories high, with its rock wall lower facade, porte cochere, gables and pitched roofing, the building still has a domestic flair and looks great along suburban main streets. The building is offered as a CS§§ growable on a 4x4 and 6x6 lot providing 440 jobs. I find these sorts of lots are invaluable to reduce unemployment/abandonment in suburban areas. The 6x6 lot has a large parking lot; the 4x4 lot does not and once it grows you can simply place parking lots of your choosing adjacent to the building.   7. How to...#1 Developing suburbs

    I thought it would be interesting to show you my style of playing. Maybe I can help you or maybe you can help me, so please give me as many tips as I can:D At first I search for an area (in this case I used the edge of the RHW intersection I build for the last entry) and start to laying the street grid (I make it as curvy as I can, so it doesn't look like a chess board:3) After that I already begin to zone It will be a suburb of a bigger city, so I let there be some agriculture too. Then I plop some parks to make it a nice place to live and raise the ground value (it's realistic too). (Sorry for all the stupid icons, I forgot how to put them off, although iCities told me how to do it:3) Also I re-propped some of the conifers and some deciduous trees (they look good in suburbs as filler for small areas, the conifers to fill bigger places, I think). Then I plopped and mmp'd some other details like supermarkets and a meadow. I placed highway signs too, but I somehow deleted the picture Now it's finally time to place a power plant and start the simulation! Nailed it. But that's just one parcel of land, to make a real connected suburb you have to do something like this many times between the main roads, so it's pretty much work. But it's totally worth it:) That's it for today, have a nice evening folks! Edit: I will probably continue the development of the town as filler entries in the next weeks (=as small series). Replies iCities (all three comments): Just surf on the STEX and the LEX and the PLEX, you will find much cool stuff I use too:) Some of my basic mods are the NAM, Girafes' trees, nearly everything by VIP, the Arden seasonal tree conroller, many buildings by Mattb325 (search him on the LEX), and JMyer's Homes. Also I use a Maxis-WHI stop mod, so there only grow custom content. Yeah, poorly photoshopped and it's nice to hear I'm not the only one who's upracticed with the NAM:D Ace❤: I'm sure you could do this in half of the space, yes^^. You're welcome:)

    Center 151 v1.2 This is my third BAT. This is also my first attempt to model an actual building. The real building has gold tinted reflective glass, which I was unable to create. Most, but not all of the roof junk was recreated. There are two versions included: 1 Landmark (with 0 jobs) and one CS$$$7 4x3 growable with 575 jobs. There are no dependencies.
