I've installed the NAM which is miraculously working on my EA interface and I am loving it and this game I took a break from for so long. However, I very well may have screwed up my second install of the NAM and clicked the option for left-hand (UK and other countries) drive. I read this helpful post on the boards, but when I tried the command line argument -l:"English" which the post recommends, EA's advanced options don't allow the quotation marks and I ended up adding -l:English and of course nothing happened. Any ideas? I realize I could just do another NAM reinstall but I'm trying to learn a few things in my old age. I love this place and this community.

Finally living up to my username name-sake, here are a set of London-inspired rowhomes based on those found near Victoria Station in the capital of the UK. I plan on creating many more terraces from London as it is my favorite city in the world (despite the nothing-but-French BATs I have been creating). Please excuse the poor lotting. Ladies, gentlemen, good evening. Eleven months ago I contacted @Tarkus, offering my help regarding a possible translation of the NAM to the Spanish language. I was asked then to translate every single LTEXT from NetworkAddonMod_Locale_english.dat. I'm saving the changes by creating a new NetworkAddonMod_Locale_spanish.dat file. However, I request some assistance concerning several points: 1. There are several entries marked as "Unknown" with uncomprehensible symbols and letters or readable letters separated with points, namely: 2. In case it can, how will it be implemented in NAM 37? 3. I recently bought a copy of SimCity 4 from GOG. I installed the game but when I ran it, it was in Dutch instead of English. GOG has been very helpful but the problem persists. I have tried "language setup .exe. But no help. I have even tried removing the folder that says Dutch, but it did not make any difference. I am really not sure what else to do. If anyone else has had a problem like this I would love to know how you fixed it. Any suggestions are welcome. I should mention, that I had another working copy of the game. But I lost the game and my external hard drive (the install file was there). So I know the game will run properly on this computer. I went to GOG for a replacement because I could not remember where I purchased the original game.

The Post House The Post house is a small resident building in Godmanchester, Cambridgeshire. It is an English rural building built in late 18 century. Name, “The Post House”, is written in gothic lettering on façade, but most likely the name has nothing to do with the mail or post office. The road is called Post Street, so I guess the name of the building comes from here. My BAT is very similar to real building, but not an exact copy. The back side and the extension is my imagination. However, I have got inspiration from 3D Warehouse Sketchup model of this house, but the BAT 100 % my own work. I haven’t used 3D Warehouse model’s textures as I feel that better result can achieve if I use my own texture bases. In real life the Post House is most likely a resident house, but I offer the BAT as CO$$ office. I need small rural offices for my SC4 plays, so I made this as such. I have included a red brick variation of this BAT and it is a R$$ residential building The model is HD and with Maxis and Dark Night version. Night versions share IDs, so if you have both versions in the city, those will most likely conflict. It has a custom foundation, so it is slope friendly. SC4 Deluxe : British Modpack, blocking American buildings only!

Because I was born and raised in Ontario, Canada, I mostly set up SimCity 4 with American and Canadian styled buildings, mostly stuff that fits into the majority of Canada, The North East, North West, Mid West and Central parts of USA. Though lately I've been thinking about building cities in a different style like United Kingdom or Asia. I did get the no maxis files mod to block all levels of Residential and Commercial, though I wonder is there a way to just block American buildings in general and leave the European set alone? Other then that I know where to get british themed lots and what not so that wont be an issue for me, I just want to block the American stuff for my British SimCity 4 setup. EDIT : I KNOW THAT YOU CAN DISABLE THE AMERICAN TILE SETS, but not all of the mods/lots I download may fall into the European category and thus may not spawn if I just disable the American tile sets alone. I'm downloading stuff right now that mostly looks british in my opinion but may not actually be strictly European/British and may not be enabled in the European tile set. I just want to disable the American buildings and leave the European stuff in, that way I can enable all the Tile Sets and let the European set grow and let mod lots/buildings grow incase they don't end up under the European tile set. -

Your city has been filling out from border to border and it has done so quite nicely! Since there is only so much room to keep spreading out, there's really nowhere else to go but up. Now wait a minute! With all these sims and their cars clogging up your already-narrow streets, how is anyone supposed to make it to work on time? The best solution- build a bus network. And now here's a real concept- make the buses.. Double Decker! More people sharing a ride, with decent views to boot! Now, if only we can take care of those cyclists.. A set of residential building mainly intended for rural and village environment. I have included in the pack one R$$$ Manor house (2 lots), two R$$ residence cottages (6 lots), one R$ small house (2 lots), one R$ town house (2 lots) and two IR farms (2 lots). Plus some stable and shed props to match the half-timber style. Expect the R$ town house, all lots are for low density and for early stages 1-2. As before, the style is from British Isles, this time in period vaguely Tudor / Elizabethan. I have used my trusty Bilteezi railway model card kits as an inspiration. However, the buildings are adapted and I have used artistic freedom and using my modular approach, I have been able to do several different models from the same building block. I have built these houses to be a bit more slope friendlier than my previous BATs. I still wouldn’t call the lots as slope friendly, but I have included custom foundations. With modest slopes, there shouldn’t be problems. I have a lot to learn and my trial with prop steps at front of the buildings did not work well. Nightlights are Maxis, render HD. I have made two versions of the lots. One is very dependencies heavy with many HD props and textures. Other is with Maxis standard props and some commonly used prop packs. Please choose which version to use. The houses are same in both versions. Only lots and prop packs are different. Version HTM_Propheavy is the one with HD props by Girafe, Historic Harbour and Vortext’s texture. Version HTM_CPprops is a light weight version of the lots with CP’s trees, BSC textures and Swi21’s props. Use only one version of the Lots. Delete the extra file folder. Hello everyone. Here is a link to my video guide on how to create a new asset from start to finish for Cities Skylines. I will show certain steps required and will hopefully give some basic idea on how to go about modding for cities skylines. This will of course only scratch the surface even though its around a hour long, but it might help you and encourage others to create their own awesome assets. -
Hey, I just started playing SimCity a few days ago, but I've gotten quite good at it (I think). But I just keep running into a big common problem; people keep leaving the regions just after they build a few roads, occasionally I get some players that stay on for a day or so but in the end they leave and never comeback. Anyways...i'm playing in the European West 2 server (which I chose since I live in England). I'd prefer for us to play on this server as im already on it but im open to any suggestions regarding the server we play on. My requirements are: Stay constantly active (i'll be active most of the time anyways as I really love playing this game) Be good enough to have a functional city(no need to be an expert as im not an expert either but im good) I speak English, Portuguese and Spanish (all fluently). So anyone speaking anyone of the languages mentioned are welcome to join If someone asks a question regarding the game please do respond. Feel free to respond to any question relating to things other than the game. I love playing sim city i have cities of tomz, and i want to play with ACTIVE ppl only , i hate when ppl join then never come back, plz only active people who speak and understand English add me and we can build a new city , i mite make private or not still thinking, just add me Mathar000 im always on trust me , also i play any region rly dosent bother me. and u gotta speak in the chat or skype. just gotta chat and stay active bank Holiday Monday for me today so hopefully i get fast response . I realize that many of us do not have English as a first language, but many of we native English speakers are being too careless with what we've been writing. English is full of homonyms (words with different meanings that sound the same) and this is why "look and say" spelling doesn't work. Are we in too much of a rush to get it right? Maybe, but there is little excuse for some of the regular "dillies". The most misused word in the forums lately has been the preposition 'to' in place of the adverb 'too' meaning excessive. These have the same pronunciation but completely different meanings. The most common use of 'to' is as a particle defining an infinitive: e.g. 'to be'. This misuse is often just a typo but it make reading posts difficult and choppy. That extra 'o' being omitted quite often causes a rescan of the sentence to verify that the word really was intended to be 'too'. Effectively, this is a case of "more haste, less speed". 'loose', 'lose' is the pair that triggered this post. One must distinguish between these which are not homonyms, can easily be confused by non-English speakers, and can change the meaning of a sentence when used wrongly. Loose most of the time means free, and it is both an adjective and a verb. It never means unable to find which is a meaning of lose. E.g. I wanted to set him loose but I was afraid he would lose himself. Loose is pronounced with the double 'o' sound and an unvoiced, hissing 's' the same as goose or moose. Lose has a shorter 'o' and the 's' becomes more sibilant and voiced, closer to 'z'. It sounds like ooze. We are all in a hurry, and don't often take the time to read back what we have written, but remember that what you put in writing represents you, personally, unless you are very careful indeed. As native English speakers, we need to set a good example to others and not be too casual.
