"The Alas Building is a residential and office tower, designed in the rationalist style, located in the San Nicolás neighborhood, in the City of Buenos Aires, Argentina. It was the tallest building in Buenos Aires from 1957 to 1994." Originally conceived as the ATLAS Building (Agrupación de Trabajadores Latinoamericanos Sindicalizados S.A.), and undertaken by the association of the same name whose president was Carlos Aloé, an official in the government of Juan Domingo Perón. During the Revolution, the building was expropriated and handed over to the Argentine Air Force, which completed it and allocated it for housing for personnel of various ranks. Additionally, the name was changed to "ALAS" (WINGS). In the central block of the building, there are nine apartments per floor, and originally, ALAS had its own supply store, as well as internal-use commercial spaces. Notice: 1.- The model presented here is an interpretation of the author. The measurements and size may vary from the original. 2.- The models are not exact replicas of the original building. 3.- This is a work of exploration and experimentation that Diego Del Llano wanted to share with the community of Simtropolis. If some of this work does not satisfy you, you have the option of not download this file. 4.-Diego Del Llano appreciates your understanding and wishes you to enjoy this project to the fullest. 5.- Acknowledgements and all the credits to the original authors of this building. Brief Introduction This pack contains mostly medium density w2w buildings based on RL buildings in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina. These buildings look best in older downtown environments, just like the RL buildings. Basic Information - Lot sizes: 1x1, 1x2 (corner), 2x1 (corner) and 1x3 - Stages: 3 and 5 - Tileset: all Dependencies If you've downloaded my previous pack, then you should already have it: Notes I've included more versions for two buildings, namely "Viamonte" and "Realico" (see image above): - There is a R$$ version of "Viamonte" - There is a fire station version of "Realico" as well as a parking lot version, just like in RL. Don't want these extra versions? Simply delete unwanted folder. You can follow my work here. Enjoy!- 11 Comments

I have very little experience with batting but I want to improve my batting skill and hopefully release some decent BATs in the near future. I cannot say right now how dedicated I'll be, but we shall see! I'm planning on modelling mostly low to medium density and low wealth buildings (C$ and R$) and possibly some medium wealth buildings later on. I'll try to model versatile buildings from major Latin American cities (but mostly from Lima and Santiago) so that they can fit in a 'general' or stereotypical latin american city. As you may know, many latin american cities share a lot of the same architecture but there are some differences nevertheless. I have two current projects for the moment: one 1x1 C$ W2W building and one 1x2 C$ W2W building. Both are based on real buildings located in Santiago, Chile (1x1 building and 1x2 building). The modelling is done(?) so now I have to apply the textures. I'm not aiming for exact replicas by the way. 1rst BAT: house and small restaurant 2nd BAT: Mini market/apartments, mini gas distribution center, apartments Now, I have some questions/doubts: 1 - I don't know how I should model or texture the restaurant so that it looks like the real one (link above) 2- I have no clue how the roofs should look like. Keep in mind that in many of these older Chilean buildings there is no AC system (in this case, since these buildings are in Santiago, they might have a gas heating system, but I'm not sure).

Introduction Torre Espacial, or Torre Interama, is a 200 metres (660 ft) high observation tower in the Villa Soldati section of Buenos Aires, Argentina. The tower was designed and manufactured in Austria by Waagner-Biro, and built between 1980 and May 1981 for the Parque de la Ciudad amusement park. The bankruptcy of the amusement park's developer, Interama S.A., delayed delivery of the observation tower components; the tower was ultimately opened to the public on July 9, 1985. It features observation decks at 120, 124, and 176 meters; from the highest deck it is possible to see the Uruguayan coast. [Google Map location] The LOT I saw this tower in the BAT request section and decide to work on it. This set contain 4 lots - one tower landmark, and three cable anchors. They are separated so you can decide to plop whichever cable anchor you want depending on available land location, or not at all. All lots can be found under landmark menu. Lot details as follow: SD / HD ? HD zip files : XDL - Torre Espacial - Maxis Nite.zip / XDL - Torre Espacial - Dark Nite.zip SD zip files : Torre Espacial - Maxis Nite - SD.zip / Torre Espacial - Dark Nite -SD.zip Unless you have a purpose of using zoom level 6, it is advised to grab SD version. The Package There are two zip files for each definition - one for Maxis Nite and one for Dark Nite. Props are included for the tower and all anchors. Search for "prop_torre" / "prop_anchor". Tower prop footprint is 15m x 15m, anchor prop footprint is 5m x 5m. (of course you can adjust those stuff as you like if you know how) The Anchor? Please refer the picture below for the correct position for each anchor - A, B and C. The "steps" also written on the in-game icon for convenience, hope you can understand it. Technical Stuff The tower did not given vertical 1.33 scaling as the original size suit the game environment very well. However the three observation decks are scaled vertically by 1.33x otherwise they looks squashed in-game. The HD render option for the tower is not without it's penalty - zoom level 5 do present visual problem, it has amplified the "Moiré pattern" problem caused by lines that are too close together. Misc As usual, if got something broken, please let me know.- 11 Comments

As you may have read on the title, the projet I'm thinking about, and indeed I already started, is the capital of the Country where I live; Buenos Aires, Argentina. I have downloaded the lastest region conforming the city itself, and I started with sections that can be done with universal things, like airports and docks, but my problem starts when talking about landmarks: I made a huge research around the main exchange sites but I didn't get too much. When I was loking around here, I saw the firsts steps of a CJ about Buenos Aires, but the "author" left it inconclued, Also, apart from the region, I got some landmarks, but they are not the main ones, and they are very few, so my main reason of being here is because I would like to know if any BATer or a BAT team would like to join this project, which from time to time would be published on a CJ. Those who accept will have all the rights to publish their BATs on the sites they want, and they will receive full credit for their work. I had this projet in mind since long ago, but I can't make it real alone, so I'm asking this to every person that reads this topic; if anyone wants to contibute with it, I will gratefully accept your help and give more information. -maybe lots of comments will include quotes like "why not you learn how to make BATs and do them?", and, sicerelly, I would do it, but I don't have the time, neither the patience, that making a BAT needs... that's why I'm asking you for help. Thanks for reading, jejejej oh and sorry for my bad english, "me not speak so well this language"

G'Day Simtropians, Today I wish to present a map requested by Cmdp123789, here at simtrop, Thanks mate. Córdoba is the second largest city in Argentina and lies on the Suquía River at the foot of the Sierras Chicas, close to the geographic centre. See me up CLOSE and personal. This is a real world map and was produced with dem data. It is scale and terrain accurate and requires Wouanagaine's mapper or terraformer to import it into SC4. The map measures 36.864km x 36.864km. A readme with links and instructions is included. (Gratis) I think that's about all. Cheers- 10 Comments

This is a building based from a project in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Torres Mirabilia its 44 stories tall (200 meters aproximate) two twin towers in a single lot, the lot is highly detailed . This building its a grow lot, if you want this in your city you need to do a 6x5 medium residential terrain, then try to give it basic services (water, power, education security, etc) Installation: The installer should install the files into your Documents/SimCity 4/plugins/LBT/VictorGonzalez/TorresMirabilia Un-Installing: To un-install the files, simply delete every lot from this download in your cities and erase the files from the plugins folder afterwards. Dependencies: To ensure the proper functionality, make sure the files mentioned below are installed in the plugins folder. LBT Mega Prop Pack 1 LBT Texture Pack Vol 1 Fixed Sc4jeeks Parking Textures Staff Edit 11/14/2019: Fixed all obsolete or missing dependencies. (Note: Although the texture pack vol1 says it's obsolete, its successor does NOT work with this file. You MUST use the obsolete Texture Pack Vol 1, NOT the Mega Texture Pack with this file.) - CF- 20 Comments
