Hi all, these are just some very Jersey houses. I brought them into the game from a model I found on the 3dwarehouse. The name comes from the Amboys in NJ, and the narrow, historic homes that line their streets. 1x2 and 1x3 R$$ lots included. They are stage 4 and grow at medium density on Chi and NY tilesets. 5 building models, 4 garage models I made these quickly/didn't test them extensively so let me know how you like them!

  6. I make my cities using "easy" mode, and I generally use 2 different "strategies." Sometimes I use money cheats such as the "moolah" cheat or the infinite money park, and in that instance I can budget my schools and other city services to 100% without any problem. I also usually set my taxes to 0% when using a money cheat as well, since I don't need taxes to make money. It also doesn't make much difference how "fast" I develop my cities either. I can also put in public transit without worrying about how much it costs either, and can thus experiment with various types of public transport, though so far the only type of public transportation I have experimented with is buses and subways. Subways seem to get used more, but buses seem to be the better money maker. Perhaps if I were a bit more "strategic" in where I place subway lines and stations, the subway would make money as well. When I don't use money cheats and have getting a city that is profitable as my goal, that is usually not all that difficult to do either. I use as a "neighborhood design" a design I described in a post called "New neighborhood design", though I have changed it a bit since that original post. The difference is that I cannot just set the city services, especially the schools and hospitals, to 100%, but what I do is build a "neighborhood unit," let it run for a short time, then fine tune the funding levels so that the student capacity (or patient capacity in the case of hospitals/clinics) is just barely above the number of students/patients served (or at least as close as I can get with the sliders), then increase it in the same manner when the school/hospital/clinic goes on strike. I generally make a "neighborhood unit," fine tune the funding, and at this point I usually am making money, and I just let it run until I have gotten back up to $500,000, then I make another neighborhood unit. If it is not making money, I get the deals such as the military base and the federal prison when I get down to $0 in the treasuury and put them up near the power plant, and the extra money from these two things usually get me over "the hump" to a money making city. I am considering trying either the hard or medium setting , but was wondering what the best strategy is. I think I would have to cut back on city services, especially education. Usually I put all the educational facilities, high school, elementary school, branch library, museum and community college (at least in the first neigborhood unit that I build). I think that if I used the hard or medium settings, I should leave out the library, the museum, and the community college, at least at first. Also I think when I build a "neighborhood unit" I should put in the industrial and commercial zoning first and let it run for a while before putting in the residential. I have done a little experimenting, and sometimes the city makes money with just this, and it seems to be somewhat correlated with whether it is the first "neighborhood unit" in a region or if several "neighborhood units" or even cities have been developed, and there is a "regionwide" demand that has been established. Also, I have done some experimenting, and the only city service that is needed for zones that are just commercial/industrial is fire protection (schools, hospitals, etc. are not needed). What I was wondering is if when I get around to putting in the residential, if I should first make the residential low or medium density so as to keep the cost of services to a minimum, then increase it to either medium or high density depending on what the RCI chart says. Hello everyone! I'm back with another cemetery for your sims! This is big! Perfect for big cities or any city! DEPENDENCIES Peg Memorial Park Kit Installation Simply put the file in Documents/SimCity4/Plugins I changed the name of the mod at the last moment because is not medium, IT'S BIG! ENJOY!
  8. In my opinion, the big fault of Cities Skylines has the few options for zoning. All others games have medium zone and zoning for industrial and office areas with the exception of CS. Zoning: - Medium density for residential, commercial, industry and offices areas. - Larger lots for high density areas. - Zoning for industrial and office areas: low, medium and high densities. - Rural zoning 20 DLCs so far and nothing of Colossar Order improve zoning in the game.
  9. Ciudad del Lago, fictional

    Version 1.0

    1,098 Downloads

Ciudad del Lago (matias93's first attepmt in creating content for SC4 community) How to install This map is in .sc4m format, so you need SC4Mapper or SC4Terraformer to install it (I recommend both). Both programs could be found in the LEX or STEX. With Mapper: 1. Having it, you have to go to your Regions folder (usually, in Documents/SimCity 4/Regions) and create a subfolder with the desired name. 2. Open the Mapper and click on 'Create Region', choose 'SC4M' as source and check the map is correctly loaded. You can change the city tiles distribution with 'Edit config.bmp' if you want, or leave as it is. 3. When ready, click 'Save Region', choose a name and close the Mapper. 4. Open the game and change to the new region. The colours will be the ones you have in the Mapper, and will change to match your water and terrain mods while you save your city tiles. ----- What is this region? Ciudad del Lago is a fictional location that I've terraformed along years of playing with Maxis' Berlin and London regions (yes, that stream on the west is what's left of the Spree). After adding more than 100% of new area, I decided to try and see what you can do with this place. The terraforming, of course, does not mimic a purely natural terrain, but includes several modifications, that allow a faster settlement of infraestructure, like sea and airports, leveled city centres and some adequately sloped lanes for motorways. There's also a lot of natural barriers, which would add some fun (and the need of several tunnels and brigdes). In the most terraformed areas, I opted for keeping the terrain exactly 30 meters over sea level, allowing to draw brigdes that permit the pass of ferries. Using those platforms (or newer analogous), you can extend ferry lines up to the extremes of all causeways, complementing your network infraestructure. The whole map extends over a 24 kilometers side square. This files are a free contribution, that can be redistributed in its original form or remixed, by mentioning the authors name. The original creator of some pieces is Maxis, and I remixed it and added most of the map.
  10. Won't be conquered!

Hello, everyone. It has been quite a while and we apologize, technical difficulties and budget issues rose and our helicopter got repossessed. We have a cheaper helicopter now, but we can't take entire city shots until we get a new one, sorry. ((this is noah speaking, the dude making this. this is out of character meaning i am seperate from the ic stuff. thats an excuse for the fact that print screen doesnt work on windows WITHOUT OPENING A MENU AND WINDOWED VERSION DOESNT WORK AND I HATE LIKE EVERYTHING so i need to use ingame prnt screen. also i didnt flore half of the region because i wanted to get it out so yeah)) Today we'll be looking at Eidsvold, a nice riverside city at the base of the Freehold mountain range! (( fun fact beforehand this city was gonna be a farm city but then i changed it then i was making a med wealth city but the tile got corrupted and i had to delete it then i made an island then hated it then deleted it then made eidsvold )) The tallest building in Eidsvold, (soon to be surpassed) is a landmark. It houses important documents concerned history and immigration and some other unintelligible law stuff. They call it the "Richter" building. (( fun fact ni, its hard building a city with the limit of one building being the absolute tallest )) The building under construction is gonna surpass the Richter building by about 45 feet. (( if anyone wants to wish pain on me ask me where i got half these lots from as most came from about 10-12 years ago and its very hard finding them again. i know its my duty but rip me like )) More images! (( in other words noah is too wanting to punch something that he cant think of anything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! )) One of the major housing developments! (( one of the major lag developments! )) ... (( i put in a mattb GE money building now. am i cool now? no insults to mattb, i am the hugest fan of him )) ... (( ... )) ... (( hey, if you make cjs yourself, you should comment or put in one of your entries some of the hardships you face during cj making. or am i the only loser here like )) The second major housing development! (( the "makes game move like chicken" development! )) ... (( fun fact san, a crash made that whole area disappear, it looks nicer now though )) ... (( this place was kinda eh, i got in a little smidgeon of my first rhw interchange. its bad. looks like a bell )) \ ... (( i know i should have used 6c, but i mean well )) ... ((i like canals as filler pieces, dont judge)) Some antennae grouped together for alarms and mass radio connections. (( i didnt get inspired from dresden maybe a little, but uh LOOK OUT TORTOISE FLYING AT YOU )) Well, see you next time! its over so uh, kinda disappointed, i wanted to come back with a bang and a good city but i couldnt even get you a full region shot sadly. i had to rush this. sorry bout that. anyway. bye, see you guys in a few months probably, maybe sooner

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The third BAT in a line of revivals, Aquilina Building is a revived building from the American Tileset of the classic predecessor to SimCity 4, SimCity 3000 (Unlimited). This medium rise tower of about 11 floors grows as a CO$$, CO$$$. The pack also comes with a Functional Landmark Ploppable version. The building, while has no clear tenant in SC3K(U), is presently owned by the organization, ASC. The building is laden with easter eggs. This BAT is available in both Maxis-nite and Darknite. 13. UDI Missions v.s. Difficulty We all know that an 'Easy' difficulty city will not be offered some UDI missions. For example, when I used to play only 'easy' difficulty cities, I never saw an ice cream truck mission for placing 2 elementary schools, but I always do on medium difficulty cities. But will UDI missions reserved for Medium also be offered on Hard? And will the ones that work on Easy also work on Medium and Hard cities? Or are we always limited to exactly the UDI mission set per each difficulty city level? If we are limited in that way, then since I play UDI missions a lot, I may have to start choosing the city difficulty based upon which rewards I will want to unlock via UDI. It would be helpful to know that always starting a Hard city would for sure unlock all UDI missions, but I suppose thats the question here for the SC4 GURUs, isnt it? Thanks! (Hmmmm.... perhaps this could be my next Mod [or someone's] - A Mod that allows all missions to be offered when the requirements are met, regardless of which difficulty city you are building.)

  18. Eicosakis Biology Research Centre

    Version 1.0

    16,677 Downloads

I Kellydale2003 present to you the beautiful modern high-tech and one-of-a-kind Eicosakis Biology Research Centre! HISTORY In this technological era of mankind it's nearly impossible to ignore all the amazing buildings being built in the Western World for modern medicine! This building helps keep up to speed with the biological research that is essential to the health of the modern World we live in today. An amazing trend in today's modern buildings is building green! This building is inspired to capture the green essence by reducing the number of windows and using recycled material to build. With the number of windows reduced, less light and heat enters the building resulting in less effort for air-conditioning. During the design of the building I had realized that another trend in building construction is that structures are being built smaller than their lots permit them! This has a profound effect on the environment. The more of a building that is accessible to the sunlight increases the surface area that can generate heat... essentially heating up a city! This building is designed to fit in wall-to-wall with other structures to reduce the surface area while maintaining modern architecture with a beautiful terrace! The building isn't designed to be an entire focal point for a city! It's merely meant to blend in with other medium rise buildings... We have too many skyscrapers, and too many whom want to take the cake! The building is built for modern medicine and features both a COSSS or a High-tech version! When I initially asked the public in the Simtropolis chatroom if they would like a hospital version of this... they weren't too thrilled! So please, if you want a Hospital version of this... The Dolomites, Italy a map by: blunder ------------- Installation: This map is in .sc4m format and requires either Terraformer or Mapper to import. 1. Navigate to your Documents/SimCity 4/Regions folder and create a new folder with your desired region name 2. Copy+paste the config.bmp file into the folder you just created. 3. Open SC4TF, open the new region, import the .sc4m file, save and quit. 4. You must open and save each tile for it to display your terrain mod instead of the terraformer/mapper elevation color overlay. ------------- Description: The Dolomites are located in northeastern italy, and are an eastern part of the alps. This specific map is centered around the town of Selva, Italy. This map is 24km x 16km and made from satellite data. It has also been lowered to give a good snowline with Lowkee's terrain. A slight warning: the map data i used for this was patched together by someone else and i couldn't fix everything, so there are some slight errors with this map that you will probably notice. Oh well. Map made using satellite data, image editing software, and drunkapple's invaluable advice. (I HIGHLY recommend using the high altitude + snow installation of Lowkee's most excellent Appalachian Terrain Mod and shokthrpy's Brigantine 2.0 HD water and HD rock mods) For questions, comments, and requests please see my Map Thread over at simpeg.com Happy Gaming!

You must open and save each tile for it to display your terrain mod instead of the terraformer/mapper elevation color overlay. ------------- Description: Berchtesgaden sits high in the mountains near Lake Konigssee and also Salzburg, Austria. This map is 12km x 20km and made from satellite data. Map made using satellite data, image editing software, and drunkapple's invaluable advice. (I HIGHLY recommend using Gobias' Terrain mod for this map, found over at sc4d) For questions, comments, and requests please see my Map Thread over at simpeg.com Happy Gaming!

------------- Description: Poole is a coastal city on the southern coast of england. This map is 24km x 24km and made from satellite data. The map is not quite true to reality; the river on the west side has been largely exaggerated. Map made using satellite data, image editing software, and drunkapple's invaluable advice. It is projected from 1/3 arc DEM satellite data and is scale accurate. The elevation has been dropped to give a reasonable snow-line when playing with Lowkee's terrain mod as noted below. I HIGHLY recommend using Lowkee's most excellent terrain mod over at SC4D to play on. (with the high altitude and snow settings enabled) Please see my map thread at simpeg if you have a request (and be sure to check the request guidelines at the top please). This PEG Utopia Series version of the Medium Plaza provides a newer, more modern look to the traditional plaza. Tranquil Koi ponds, fountains & a glass dome attract pedestrians to this popular public plaza.. This is a 2x2 lot... like the original... with the same costs and properties. It does not replace the original Medium Plaza and appears next to it in your Parks menu. ** This file has no external dependencies. All Pegasus files are now legacy content and are no longer officially supported - however support from the wider community can be requested here.

Like the PEG MTP Small Plaza, this MTP Medium Plaza adds variety to your game by displaying one of 3 different plaza models everytime you plop it. Three different full-tile models are used to create a look more detailed than a conventional lot created in the Lot Editor. The MTP plazas are the ideal alternative to the very urban looking game-default plazas when used in your rural & bedroom communities. This is a 2x2 lot... like the original... with the same costs and properties. It does not replace the original Medium Plaza and appears next to it in your Parks menu. ** This file has no external dependencies.
