  1. IRM I-HT Quetz Isoprenes by HunD88

    Version 1.0.0

INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION MOD Quetz Isoprenes by HunD88 1 - INTRODUCTION/OVERVIEW Today I have the honour of presenting the final IRM I-HT upload (for the time being), the next uploads will be manufacturing industry. The 40th and last upload in this series, Quetz Isoprenes by HunD88, contains an entire phalanx of lots (16 in total) because HunD88 was kind enough to provide a bunch of individual BAT models that can be assembled to various lot configurations - a possibility that I gladly took advantage of! I had a blast lotting this one, although it's been a lot of work, too. Once I had a general theme laid out, however, I kept recycling familiar elements to ensure all individual lots would share enough common features even though I did my best to make each and every lot unique. Some of the lots are really plain jane and generic, others are more intricate. You'll find everything from small single-building lots to large complexes in here. As a special bonus, this download also contains some "mech" lots that may grow adjacent to other I-HT anchor lots and will hopefully help to bring some more variety to your high-tech areas. Even if you have the IRM anchor lots blocked using my IRM lot blocker, these "mech" lots (pumping facilities and tanks) will be able to grow and complement those anchor lots that are not blocked. Since all Maxis lots contained in the IRM Base Pack could optionally be used with toroca's Industrial Jobs Quadrupler, this download is offered in two versions: a regular one for those who prefer the default job numbers, and a quadrupler-compatible version for those who prefer using the modified stats. The .sc4desc files for the regular version will look like this: IRM_[Filename].sc4desc The .sc4desc files for the quadrupler version will look like this: IRM_[Filename]_x4.sc4desc After downloading, simply delete the file of the version you don't want to use. If you leave both in your plugins, the quadrupler version will most probably override the default version. The default version of the building will provide 10-70 I-HT jobs, the quadrupler version 40-280 I-HT jobs. The following lots are included in this download: 2x3, Stage 1 (Quetz Isoprenes 1 - small building x1), 15/60 jobs 3x2, Stage 1 (Quetz Isoprenes 1 - small building x1), 15/60 jobs 3x3, Stage 1 (Quetz Isoprenes 2 - small building x2), 25/100 jobs 4x3, Stage 1 (Quetz Isoprenes 2 - small building x2), 25/100 jobs 3x5, Stage 1 (Quetz Isoprenes 3 - small building + tanks + pipes), 25/100 jobs 4x4, Stage 1 (Quetz Isoprenes 3 - small building + tanks + pipes), 25/100 jobs 3x3, Stage 1 (Quetz Isoprenes 4 - larger building), 25/100 jobs 4x2, Stage 1 (Quetz Isoprenes 4 - larger building), 25/100 jobs 4x5, Stage 3 (Quetz Isoprenes 5 - small + large + tanks + pipes), 50/200 jobs 5x4, Stage 3 (Quetz Isoprenes 5 - small + large + tanks + pipes), 50/200 jobs 5x6, Stage 3 (Quetz Isoprenes 6 - small + large + 2x tanks + pipes), 70/280 jobs 6x5, Stage 3 (Quetz Isoprenes 6 - small + large + 2x tanks + pipes), 70/280 jobs 2x3, Stage 1 (Quetz Isoprene Tanks - tanks x1), 20/80 jobs [MECH] 5x3, Stage 2 (Quetz Isoprene Tanks - tanks x2), 40/160 jobs [MECH] 1x4, Stage 1 (Quetz Isoprene Pumping - pipes x1), 10/40 jobs [MECH] 2x4, Stage 1 (Quetz Isoprene Pumping - pipes x2), 20/80 jobs [MECH] For those of you who like to play with day and night view, the building used on this lot is compatible with the following night light mode(s): Maxis Night with gradual day/night cycle: YES Maxis Night with static day or night: YES DarkNite* with static day or night: YES *DarkNite requires SimFox' Day and Nite Modd (or a similar darkening mod) to be installed in your plugins. 2 - USE If you extract this archive to your root plugins folder, it should create a folder IRM\IRM Expansion\[NAME OF BAT], where [NAME OF BAT] represents the name of this download item. Within that folder, you will find all the game-relevant files and a sub-folder containing the HTML readme and some screenshot(s). If you no longer wish to use this download, proceed as follows: Bulldoze all lots pertaining to this download Save all the cities and exit the game when you're done bulldozing Remove the associated files from your plugins folder Hint: Just to be sure, I recommend moving the undesired files somewhere else and doing some checks before you delete them permanently. This way, if it turns out you forgot to bulldoze something, you can add it back in temporarily until you're done. 3 - DEPENDENCIES IRM Base Pack with all its dependencies - while these lots will technically work, they are meant to tie into the IRM. They may look out of place and show unexpected behaviour if used independently. Since this is an extension to the IRM, all the dependencies of the original pack still apply. If you have them in place, you can download every single growable IRM and IRM W2W lot I have ever made and will never have to download any additional packs for props and textures used on the lot. Quetz isoprenes Co 2 - you'll also need the original upload of the BAT to see the building(s). Only the .sc4model file is required. NOTE: For any dependency hosted at SC4Devotion (SC4D in short), you must be registered on that site and logged into the site's download area, the BSC File Exchange, in order to see the download button. Please bear in mind that there are separate logins for the forums and for the file exchange. 2. IRM I-HT Nova Energetics by HunD88

INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION MOD Nova Energetics by HunD88 1 - INTRODUCTION/OVERVIEW Ok, as the conclusion of this IRM upload series draws closer, we get to the somewhat more interesting lotting projects... The 39th and next-to-last upload in this series, Nova Energetics by HunD88, suggested itself for a combination with a well-known Maxis high-tech industry buildings because it was so similar in colour that I simply had to try creating what would hopefully look like one coherent complex. As you can see on the screenshots, I made two standalone lots as well as four complex lots with the main building and either one or two outbuildings. I remember lotting this one was fun, and I tried to make the lots very individual in character. The big 5x5, for example, features a stone wall topped with a chainlink fence around the outbuildings and has a certain "high-security-do-not-enter" vibe to it - we can imagine that the blue thingamabobs are some dangerous high-voltage switchgear stuff. Other lots are much more open, and feature various characteristics (trucks, cargo crates, propane tanks, parking lots, footpaths, fences) to varying degrees. I hope you'll like at least some of them and they won't look too repetitive. Needless to say, prop families were also used extensively once again to offer the best variation possible. If you leave both in your plugins, the quadrupler version will most probably override the default version. The default version of the building will provide 50/70/90 I-HT jobs, the quadrupler version 200/280/360 I-HT jobs. The following lots are included in this download: 3x4, Stage 2 (Nova Energetics 1) 5x3, Stage 2 (Nova Energetics 1) 4x5, Stage 3 (Nova Energetics 2) 5x4, Stage 3 (Nova Energetics 2) 5x5, Stage 3 (Nova Energetics 3) 6x5, Stage 3 (Nova Energetics 3) For those of you who like to play with day and night view, the building used on this lot is compatible with the following night light mode(s): Maxis Night with gradual day/night cycle: YES Maxis Night with static day or night: YES DarkNite* with static day or night: YES *DarkNite requires SimFox' Day and Nite Modd (or a similar darkening mod) to be installed in your plugins. 2 - USE If you extract this archive to your root plugins folder, it should create a folder IRM\IRM Expansion\[NAME OF BAT], where [NAME OF BAT] represents the name of this download item. 3. IRM I-HT Ohm Resistors by HunD88

INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION MOD Ohm Resistors by HunD88 1 - INTRODUCTION/OVERVIEW Might as well make a second upload today to get this series done finally... The 38th upload in this series, Ohm Resistors by HunD88, is certainly not its highlight. It's one of HunD88's earlier BATs, and while it still looks OK to me, I must admit it's not my favourite building. More importantly, however, this might have been the first lot that I made for the I-HT category, and in any case you can certainly tell it's not my best! Anyway, the building certainly has character with the 3D sign and its "shoebox tilted to the side" shape. The lots look kinda "meh" to me in hindsight, but I guess they'll do. The bigger one has some footpaths and greenery towards the front and side and parking to the back, whereas the smaller one is of the simple "island in a sea of concrete" type. If you leave both in your plugins, the quadrupler version will most probably override the default version. The default version of the building will provide 44 I-HT jobs, the quadrupler version 176 I-HT jobs. The following lots are included in this download: 3x4, Stage 2 5x3, Stage 2 For those of you who like to play with day and night view, the building used on this lot is compatible with the following night light mode(s): Maxis Night with gradual day/night cycle: YES Maxis Night with static day or night: YES DarkNite* with static day or night: YES *DarkNite requires SimFox' Day and Nite Modd (or a similar darkening mod) to be installed in your plugins. 2 - USE If you extract this archive to your root plugins folder, it should create a folder IRM\IRM Expansion\[NAME OF BAT], where [NAME OF BAT] represents the name of this download item. 4. IRM I-HT EffectiMed by HunD88

    Version 1.0.0

INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION MOD EffectiMed by HunD88 1 - INTRODUCTION/OVERVIEW The STEX has been picking up some steam recently - I don't wanna miss out! Guess it's time to contribute another IRM upload. The 37th upload in this series, EffectiMed by HunD88, is another 10 years old building that withstood the test of time rather acceptably IMHO. It's a small facility that produces medical supplies and features a somewhat peculiar architecture with those narrow arched "eyebrow" windows and that irregular slab on top of the main structure. Despite the arches, I think it has a slight brutalist vibe to it. Not much to tell about the lots - the wider one is really simplistic, whereas the narrower one features a somewhat more elaborate walkway and parking layout including diagonally parked (and, thanks to Cycledogg, properly shaded) cars. If you leave both in your plugins, the quadrupler version will most probably override the default version. The default version of the building will provide 36 I-HT jobs, the quadrupler version 144 I-HT jobs. The following lots are included in this download: 3x4, Stage 1 4x3, Stage 1 For those of you who like to play with day and night view, the building used on this lot is compatible with the following night light mode(s): Maxis Night with gradual day/night cycle: YES Maxis Night with static day or night: YES DarkNite* with static day or night: YES *DarkNite requires SimFox' Day and Nite Modd (or a similar darkening mod) to be installed in your plugins. 2 - USE If you extract this archive to your root plugins folder, it should create a folder IRM\IRM Expansion\[NAME OF BAT], where [NAME OF BAT] represents the name of this download item. 5. IRM I-HT Cookie Research by HunD88

INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION MOD Cookie Research by HunD88 1 - INTRODUCTION/OVERVIEW OK, it's time to dig up some really old BATs by an often overlooked BAT artist! The 36th upload in this series, Cookie Research by HunD88, was originally uploaded as a bakery 10 years ago. However, I thought it would look OK as a high-tech industry building, and then I remembered how the first high-tech building you used to get in SimCity3000 was often an inconspicuous little facility called something along the lines of "Cookie Research Institute" in my game's language. Therefore, I decided to pick up the theme and re-lot this one as a high-tech cookie research facility. The default version of the building will provide 35 I-HT jobs, the quadrupler version 140 I-HT jobs. INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION MOD Mail Distribution Centre by Mattb325 1 - INTRODUCTION/OVERVIEW After a shorter hiatus this time, I'm pleased to upload a relot of another very interesting BAT: The 35th upload in this series, Mail Distribution Centre, is the second of the two BATs by Mattb325 that I decided to re-lot for the IRM. This one was modular, so it allowed for very flexible layouts. I decided to keep it basic, both by keeping it at two fully equipped lots (all buildings present) and by restricting these to a relatively vanilla-friendly lot size of 6x6 each. It might not look like it at the first glance, but a lot of work went into these. The buildings are really fun to fiddle around with, and I think I have found two configurations where textures and building props complement each other rather nicely. Both lots are full of details and have several footpaths connecting the individual structures and a little open-air break area. Shaded props were used very extensively once again. The default version of the building will provide 100 I-HT jobs, the quadrupler version 400 I-HT jobs. The following lots are included in this download: 6x6, Stage 2 (2 versions) For those of you who like to play with day and night view, the building used on this lot is compatible with the following night light mode(s): Maxis Night with gradual day/night cycle: YES Maxis Night with static day or night: YES DarkNite* with static day or night: YES *DarkNite requires SimFox' Day and Nite Modd (or a similar darkening mod) to be installed in your plugins. Mail Distribution Centre - you'll also need the original upload of the BAT to see the building(s). The following files are relevant: - Mattb325MailDistributionCentre.dat (required to see the buildings) - AustraliaPostTruckAutomata.dat (optional to have the building spawn post truck automata). 7. IRM I-HT GSK Packaging by Mattb325

INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION MOD GSK Packaging by Mattb325 1 - INTRODUCTION/OVERVIEW I'd have to look up how many of Tag_One's BATs we have covered with the recent uploads, and rest assured that there will be more. However, today it's time to turn onto the finish straight for high-tech IRM with another author: The 34th upload in this series, GSK Packaging, is the first of two BATs by Mattb325 that I decided to re-lot for the IRM. Back when I did these, I couldn't know that he'd release many more superb I-HT BATs, so they didn't make it into this pack and may come at a later point. Anyway, back to the BAT: This one was quite the challenge to lot because it sits on a grass-covered hill that is part of the actual model - a very interesting setup that makes for much of this BAT's appeal IMO. However, it's always a tricky business to achieve a virtually seamless transition with textures, and since the BATted portion is shaded, putting regular props right next to it would have looked odd. Fortunately I could obscure part of the seam with a hedge, and use Cycledogg's shaded props rather extensively to try and blur the line between BAT and lot. Did I succeed? That's up to you to judge.... Why a new lot anyway? Well, while there was absolutely nothing wrong with the original one, I wanted to make sure some typical IRM features such as the standard lampposts etc. are present so it all blends together. This time around, both lots have the same footprint, but are pretty different in appearance. The first one has the building facing the road and a wall surrounding the parking lot, but it's not a perimeter wall so there's some open space left... with other industry growing around, this free outer perimeter of the lot outside the wall might look like part of the adjacent lot, hopefully helping to blur grid lines a bit. The second lot with the building side facing the road is rather closed and secluded on the left, but totally open to the right and back. It could look good on corners, or as the last building of an industry block. The default version of the building will provide 42 I-HT jobs, the quadrupler version 168 I-HT jobs. The following lots are included in this download: 4x5, Stage 2 (2 versions) For those of you who like to play with day and night view, the building used on this lot is compatible with the following night light mode(s): Maxis Night with gradual day/night cycle: YES Maxis Night with static day or night: YES DarkNite* with static day or night: YES *DarkNite requires SimFox' Day and Nite Modd (or a similar darkening mod) to be installed in your plugins. 2 - USE If you extract this archive to your root plugins folder, it should create a folder IRM\IRM Expansion\[NAME OF BAT], where [NAME OF BAT] represents the name of this download item. This way, if it turns out you forgot to bulldoze something, you can add it back in temporarily until you're done. 3 - DEPENDENCIES IRM Base Pack with all its dependencies - while these lots will technically work, they are meant to tie into the IRM. INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION MOD TagFood by Tag_One 1 - INTRODUCTION/OVERVIEW We are getting closer to the finish line, at least in terms of this batch of I-HT uploads. The 33rd upload in this series, TagFood, is going to be the last one of Tag_One's creations for the high-tech sector. It is a pretty huge facility with offices, production & storage facilities and warehousing all in one building - modern food processing at its best! This time, the main challenge in terms of lotting was getting the lot textures to line up halfways naturally with main entrance, side entrances, back doors, and loading bays. I think I did OK in that respect if I may say so myself. Shaded props make another pretty nifty appearance here - I really like their effect. As usual, there's a choice of 2 lots, each with different footprints, different layout and the building at a different angle, but both will look particularly good on corners. If you leave both in your plugins, the quadrupler version will most probably override the default version. The default version of the building will provide 125 I-HT jobs, the quadrupler version 500 I-HT jobs. The following lots are included in this download: 6x5, Stage 3 6x6, Stage 3 For those of you who like to play with day and night view, the building used on this lot is compatible with the following night light mode(s): Maxis Night with gradual day/night cycle: YES Maxis Night with static day or night: YES DarkNite* with static day or night: YES *DarkNite requires SimFox' Day and Nite Modd (or a similar darkening mod) to be installed in your plugins. 2 - USE If you extract this archive to your root plugins folder, it should create a folder IRM\IRM Expansion\[NAME OF BAT], where [NAME OF BAT] represents the name of this download item. INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION MOD Rena Electronics by Tag_One 1 - INTRODUCTION/OVERVIEW Since I currently have some time on my hand (gasp), let's keep the uploads coming! The 32nd upload in this series, Rena Electronics by Tag_One, is a very interesting BAT. Its basic box shape is accentuated by a few characteristic features such as the imposing, angled glass front, the wide skylights and the angled loading bays, which I tried to echo in the lot design using some angled textures and jestarr's wonderful 22.5° trucks. Not much else to say this time - I hope you like the result! INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION MOD PolarTech by Tag_One 1 - INTRODUCTION/OVERVIEW OK, before I lose steam again, let's keep 'em coming, shall we? The 31st upload in this series is another whopper of a building, PolarTech by Tag_One. This high-tech cooling facility and warehouse comes either as road-facing building on a relatively compact 5x5 lot with only minimal visitor / VIP parking in front of the main entrance (those poor workers probably have to park their car somewhere in the back, but there's no direct parkign on the lot), or in a second version with the cargo bays oriented towards the side and a curved entrance. Not much else to say about the lot, other than that I made sure the footpath texture on the square lot matched the overall colour scheme! INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION MOD Pink Cap Music by Tag_One 1 - INTRODUCTION/OVERVIEW Jeez, have I really not uploaded anything in April? It's about time I changed that. I haven't been very motivated for anything SC4 lately, so that's why there has been such a delay, but I do want to get all this stuff onto the STEX, so here we are again. The 30th upload in this series is Pink Cap Music by Tag_One. The remarkable features of this BAT are probably the rounded corners and the yellow window frames - not something you see every day. Not much to say about the lots, really - whereas one has the building with the front facing the street and a little parking area in the back, the other one features a little footpath that connects the streetsinde with the backyard and passes by the entrance, which is rotated to the side in this case. This kinda divides the lot into a more pleasant area around the entrance and the usual, drab and boring sea of concrete in the back. If you leave both in your plugins, the quadrupler version will most probably override the default version. The default version of the building will provide 40 I-HT jobs, the quadrupler version 160 I-HT jobs. INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION MOD Pharma Lab by Tag_One 1 - INTRODUCTION/OVERVIEW I think we haven't had anything pharma-related in a while, so here's another one. Let's face it, your Sims can't live on Fukitol and Alka Seltzer alone, they probably need some Simzac and other stuff to eat like smarties and wash down with some alcohol while complaining about all those junkies out there... The 29th upload in this series, Pharma Lab by Tag_One, is a BAT I liked very much. Although it's basically a shoebox building, it does have some really nifty details such as the pond with the stairs leading over it and up to the entrance, as well as that neat little back entrance stair. So quite logically it ended up on my list of stuff to re-lot for the IRM. While the more compact lot is pretty straight forward, the bigger one features a nicer entrance area and some trees and hedges along one side. The default version of the building will provide 45 I-HT jobs, the quadrupler version 180 I-HT jobs. The following lots are included in this download: 3x3, Stage 2 3x4, Stage 2 For those of you who like to play with day and night view, the building used on this lot is compatible with the following night light mode(s): Maxis Night with gradual day/night cycle: YES Maxis Night with static day or night: YES DarkNite* with static day or night: YES *DarkNite requires SimFox' Day and Nite Modd (or a similar darkening mod) to be installed in your plugins. Pharma Lab - you'll also need the original upload of the BAT to see the building(s). Only the .sc4model file is required. INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION MOD PCB Assembly by Tag_One 1 - INTRODUCTION/OVERVIEW Next day, next upload - and this time it's a big one, too. The 28th upload in this series, PCB Assembly by Tag_One, is a large warehouse and offices complex that houses one of those businesses where those smart PCB layouts are actually built and shipped to the customers. While the wider lot has some more grass areas around the building and employee parking spaces scattered all around, the narrower lot features one employee parking lot at the side and a nice little open-air break area complete with some soft drink vending machines, chairs and tables, and a fence all around so there's some degree of protection from incompetent truck or forklift drivers. If you leave both in your plugins, the quadrupler version will most probably override the default version. The default version of the building will provide 123 I-HT jobs, the quadrupler version 492 I-HT jobs. The following lots are included in this download: 5x6, Stage 3 6x6, Stage 3 For those of you who like to play with day and night view, the building used on this lot is compatible with the following night light mode(s): Maxis Night with gradual day/night cycle: YES Maxis Night with static day or night: YES DarkNite* with static day or night: YES *DarkNite requires SimFox' Day and Nite Modd (or a similar darkening mod) to be installed in your plugins. 2 - USE If you extract this archive to your root plugins folder, it should create a folder IRM\IRM Expansion\[NAME OF BAT], where [NAME OF BAT] represents the name of this download item. INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION MOD LGX Chemical Engineering by Tag_One 1 - INTRODUCTION/OVERVIEW It's been a while since my last upload, so let's move on, shall we? The 27th upload in this series, LGX Chemical Engineering by Tag_One, is a small and simple building that houses a chemical engineering company - mainly the offices by the looks of it. The two lots offered here are rather different, one of them having the building sitting right in the middle of a totally open area, the other one with some greenery and footpaths around and the main entrance somewhat more discreet at the side. Whereas the former lot is a good 'team player', i.e. will look fine between other industrial stuff, the other one will also loog good on its own. The default version of the building will provide 24 I-HT jobs, the quadrupler version 96 I-HT jobs. INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION MOD Ledpro LEDs by Tag_One 1 - INTRODUCTION/OVERVIEW If I let @Aarsgevogelte do all the uploads, you're going to risk dying from all the awesomeness - time to interrupt his series with somethig far less spectacular: The 26th upload in this series, Ledpro LEDs by Tag_One, basically looks like a simply warehouse with a little office section - nothing to see here. The lots, too, are pretty toned down, with the one that has the building oriented perpendicular to the road being open to all sides and perfectly suitable for getting surrounded with ploppable fillers or other industry. A small propane tank in the back is the only special feature. The other lot is slightly more complex with the angled entrance and the fences; it features a paved area in front and a strip of green with some trees in the back, forming a border to the adjacent development. The default version of the building will provide 44 I-HT jobs, the quadrupler version 176 I-HT jobs. The following lots are included in this download: 3x5, Stage 1 5x3, Stage 1 For those of you who like to play with day and night view, the building used on this lot is compatible with the following night light mode(s): Maxis Night with gradual day/night cycle: YES Maxis Night with static day or night: YES DarkNite* with static day or night: YES *DarkNite requires SimFox' Day and Nite Modd (or a similar darkening mod) to be installed in your plugins. 2 - USE If you extract this archive to your root plugins folder, it should create a folder IRM\IRM Expansion\[NAME OF BAT], where [NAME OF BAT] represents the name of this download item. INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION MOD LEDPRO by Tag_One 1 - INTRODUCTION/OVERVIEW Everybody and their dog seems to be uploading these days, so I guess I should follow suit! I've got another big one for you today, one of the biggest this author has made: The 25th upload in this series, LEDPRO by Tag_One, is a huge LED production and research facility with a representative, multi-storey office section tacked to the front of the spacious workshop. It features one large cargo door at the side of the front and several small ones along the side of the building. The smaller of the two lots is rather minimal, with the building sitting right behind a small employee parking, a truck entrance to the side, and a few small trees along the bare back wall. It is well suited for adding some filler lots around that give it breathing space - or ancillary growable lots, of course. The bigger lot features the building more as a standalone facility and could also work well on corners. The default version of the building will provide 120 I-HT jobs, the quadrupler version 480 I-HT jobs. The following lots are included in this download: 4x5, Stage 3 6x4, Stage 3 For those of you who like to play with day and night view, the building used on this lot is compatible with the following night light mode(s): Maxis Night with gradual day/night cycle: YES Maxis Night with static day or night: YES DarkNite* with static day or night: YES *DarkNite requires SimFox' Day and Nite Modd (or a similar darkening mod) to be installed in your plugins. 2 - USE If you extract this archive to your root plugins folder, it should create a folder IRM\IRM Expansion\[NAME OF BAT], where [NAME OF BAT] represents the name of this download item. INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION MOD Jack Wild Conductors by Tag_One 1 - INTRODUCTION/OVERVIEW Same industry type, same author, same series - but this time we go to a pretty big one again. The 24th upload in this series, Jack Wild Conductors by Tag_One, is a rather large industrial facility that I decided to complement with some trees/landscaping at the entrance side to make for a nicer appearance, and a walkway leading up to the actual entrance. Gotta impress those potential business partners and greenwash your front, after all. There's also a decent number of employee parking spots, plus some empty space and/or randomly appearign trucks in front of cargo bays. As shown in the screenshots, shaded props were used to a large extent again. Surround this building with a few of the IRM fillers, and you got yourself an entire street block filled! INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION MOD Halma Automation by Tag_One 1 - INTRODUCTION/OVERVIEW We continue with more BATs from the same author, this one being one of the smallest in the whole pack. The 23rd upload in this series, Halma Automation by Tag_One, is a cute little structure that could also hide in a low-rise office park or even in a residential area. The rounded corners are its most interesting architectural features and, in terms of elegance, give it a slight edge (ha, ha) over your average shoebox building. It features a central entrance in both version - very simple in the case of the smaller lot, pretty ornate in the case of the bigger one - and not much externally visible typical industrial features to speak of, but that's not a problem because those I-HT guys and gals work with their smartybrains and not with big, bad machines and stuff... so much for a technically sound explanation! The default version of the building will provide 16 I-HT jobs, the quadrupler version 64 I-HT jobs. The following lots are included in this download: 2x3, Stage 1 3x3, stage 1 For those of you who like to play with day and night view, the building used on this lot is compatible with the following night light mode(s): Maxis Night with gradual day/night cycle: YES Maxis Night with static day or night: YES DarkNite* with static day or night: YES *DarkNite requires SimFox' Day and Nite Modd (or a similar darkening mod) to be installed in your plugins. 2 - USE If you extract this archive to your root plugins folder, it should create a folder IRM\IRM Expansion\[NAME OF BAT], where [NAME OF BAT] represents the name of this download item. INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION MOD AquaFilter Inc. by Tag_One 1 - INTRODUCTION/OVERVIEW This is going to be the start of a longer mini-series of more "normally" sized BATs. The 22nd upload in this series, AquaFilter Inc. by Tag_One, is a smaller building with solar panels on the roof that I decided to complement with a little parking lot/entrance area and a small loading area in the back - quite the usual fare. While it's meant to look somewhat nicer, I hope I didn't go over board with greenery and flowers! In any case it's a building you could also hide between wealthier suburban office low-rises. The default version of the building will provide 36 I-HT jobs, the quadrupler version 144 I-HT jobs. The following lots are included in this download: 2x4, Stage 1 3x3, stage 1 For those of you who like to play with day and night view, the building used on this lot is compatible with the following night light mode(s): Maxis Night with gradual day/night cycle: YES Maxis Night with static day or night: YES DarkNite* with static day or night: YES *DarkNite requires SimFox' Day and Nite Modd (or a similar darkening mod) to be installed in your plugins. AquaFilter Inc. - you'll also need the original upload of the BAT to see the building(s). INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION MOD Ouellette Electronics by Jasoncw 1 - INTRODUCTION/OVERVIEW Ok, so finally we come back to uploads where I actually had to do some lotting work, hehe. The 21st upload in this series, Ouellette Electronics by Jasoncw, features a little grass / parking area and a driveway in the back and some space around the lot that I could use to play a bit with different configurations - see the screenshots. This is an older 3dsmax building that only exists for Maxis night, but due to technical reasons will not be compatible with the gradual day/night cycle. Instead, it will switch from the day model to the night model - and back - instantaneously, as practically all 3dsmax BATs do. The default version of the building will provide 130 I-HT jobs, the quadrupler version 520 I-HT jobs. The following lots are included in this download: 6x6, Stage 3 (2 versions) For those of you who like to play with day and night view, the building used on this lot is compatible with the following night light mode(s): Maxis Night with gradual day/night cycle: NO Maxis Night with static day or night: YES DarkNite* with static day or night: NO *DarkNite requires SimFox' Day and Nite Modd (or a similar darkening mod) to be installed in your plugins. 2 - USE If you extract this archive to your root plugins folder, it should create a folder IRM\IRM Expansion\[NAME OF BAT], where [NAME OF BAT] represents the name of this download item. INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION MOD LaVaughn Biotech by Jasoncw 1 - INTRODUCTION/OVERVIEW For the time being, this is going to be the last "lazy lot" where I didn't actually have to do much lotting, I swear! The 20th upload in this series, LaVaughn Biotech by Jasoncw, once again filled the lot almost completely so that I thought it would be best to leave it at that - not least to keep the lot size manageable. Other growable lots or ploppable lots can be used to expand the premises, but the building will also look good when surrounded by roads/streets on all sides. If you look closely, however, I did make two versions with a subtle difference: one (version A) is surrounded by concrete, the other one (version B) by a thin strip of grass and a narrow sidewalk. While version A will probably look best surrounded by other I-HT stuff, version B should be fine surrounded by roads. Once again, this is a 3dsmax building that can be downloaded in both DarkNite and Maxis night, but due to technical reasons will not be compatible with the gradual day/night cycle. Instead, it will switch from the day model to the night model - and back - instantaneously, as practically all 3dsmax BATs do. INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION MOD Hammer Data Security by Jasoncw 1 - INTRODUCTION/OVERVIEW Before I move on to the next longer series, I'd like to release some more relatively modern BATs. The 19th upload in this series, Hammer Data Security by Jasoncw, is another somewhat cheap relot where I didn't have to do much because the building already fills the lot pretty much. I only made an additional lot featuring some access roads right and left as well as narrow tile sidewalks that complement the building's shape rather well if I may say so myself. The rest was the usual bit of shoving some hex figures around, editing files and the rest of the bore and snore fest that modding often is. Once again, this is a 3dsmax building that can be downloaded in both DarkNite and Maxis night, but due to technical reasons will not be compatible with the gradual day/night cycle. INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION MOD Thermo Fisher Scientific by SimFox 1 - INTRODUCTION/OVERVIEW New year, new uploads - let's get some more IRM on the way for 2018! The 18th upload in this series, Thermo Fisher Scientific by SimFox, actually felt a bit cheap to release. Why? Well, because the entire building fills the lot, and it wouldn't make much sense to put it on a bigger lot and design stuff around it - not least because you can do so yourself, be it with growable buildings or any kind of fillers, maybe the dedicated IRM ones. The building even looks good when surrounded by streets on all sides, so I reckoned I'd best leave it as is, and merely tweaked its stats and made sure it would grow according to the IRM logic. The following lots are included in this download: 7x4, Stage 3 For those of you who like to play with day and night view, the building used on this lot is compatible with the following night light mode(s): Maxis Night with gradual day/night cycle: NO Maxis Night with static day or night: YES DarkNite* with static day or night: YES *DarkNite requires SimFox' Day and Nite Modd (or a similar darkening mod) to be installed in your plugins. 2 - USE If you extract this archive to your root plugins folder, it should create a folder IRM\IRM Expansion\[NAME OF BAT], where [NAME OF BAT] represents the name of this download item. INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION MOD Linda Swampy Medical Centre by kellydale2003 1 - INTRODUCTION/OVERVIEW Time for something completely different - different style, different size, different author! The 17th upload in this series, Linda Swampy Medical Centre by kellydale2003, was released as both a hospital and a high-tech industry building. I kept the high-tech version and simply complemented it with two lots in the familiar IRM style - which was not easy to do because of a problem with the LOD that prevented me from placing any taller props next to the building's exterior walls. This is why both lots look rather simple and flat. Not much else to tell this time, other than this is a 3dsmax building that can be downloaded in both DarkNite and Maxis night, but due to technical reasons will not be compatible with the gradual day/night cycle. Instead, it will switch from the day model to the night model - and back - instantaneously, as practically all 3dsmax BATs do. INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION MOD Black's Ice company by jestarr 1 - INTRODUCTION/OVERVIEW Allow me to introduce you to the third and last jestarr creation for this part of the IRM expansion. The 16th upload in this series, Black's Ice Company by jestarr, used to be a dirty industry (I-D) building, but given a general lack of I-HT in game, the fact that I-HT makes up most of the "endgame" industry and the rather clean appearance of this BAT with those huge radiators on top, I decided that it would also look OK as high-tech facility. The lots, of course, had to be adapted for this purpose. Both features a footpath leading around the building and some more greenery all around, not least for the purpose of hiding those tall blank walls. One of the lots has a muddy pool in front that looks rather natural - we could pretend that the building was originally erected in a green area with trees and some swampy spots, and they tried to leave some nature intact... Once again this is a creation I'm less pleased with, but I wasn't dissatisfied enough to trash it, so here it is. The default version of the building will provide 90 I-HT jobs, the quadrupler version 360 I-HT jobs. The following lots are included in this download: 5x5, Stage 3 6x4, Stage 3 For those of you who like to play with day and night view, the building used on this lot is compatible with the following night light mode(s): Maxis Night with gradual day/night cycle: YES Maxis Night with static day or night: YES DarkNite* with static day or night: YES *DarkNite requires SimFox' Day and Nite Modd (or a similar darkening mod) to be installed in your plugins. 2 - USE If you extract this archive to your root plugins folder, it should create a folder IRM\IRM Expansion\[NAME OF BAT], where [NAME OF BAT] represents the name of this download item. If you have them in place, you can download every single growable IRM and IRM W2W lot I have ever made and will never have to download any additional packs for props and textures used on the lot. Black's Ice Company - you'll also need the original upload of the BAT to see the building(s). For those of you who may still be unfamiliar with the site: SC4D is another major SimCity community with lots of unique content, so you will not regret making an account there.
