  1. Andia

    Version 1.0.0

This was made by 'and, so it's called Andia. Lots of flat place for building, which is nice if you use roadtop mass transit of any sort. Features both coasts and mountains. A greyscale image, region.ini, and config file are included. Use the config, or make your own to suit. To install press Ctrl+Alt+Shift+R, browse to and select the greyscale image, then go do some chores while the game renders the map.
  2. Krampa DeSimmia

    Version 1.0.0

Helloooooooo! This wouldn't have been possible without inspiration from CorinaMarie, a fantastic simtrop member. Her way of using cloud grayscales was how i made this. File includes: Config.bmp Greyscale Sc4mapper file readme on terms of use, and how to put this in SimCity 4 (not just pasting it into folder, theres a process!) History: Krampa DeSimmia is a micronation that archaeologists found to be the site of multiple meteorite, meteor, asteroid, etc. attacks. It is high up in cliffs and is very eroded. mayor (your name if you downloaded this) has taken it upon himself to develop it, Can he do it?! Thing not mentioned in readme: lowkee addons were the cliff addons, transparent water, snow and increases elevation, danke!!!
  3. The Crane Hotel

The Crane Hotel is a fictional hotel in the town of Kansas City, Missouri. This building was built in 1985, and got a huge renovation in the year of 2000. The renovation was to make it look more modern. It is a very popular hotel, and is rated 8.8 stars out of 10 on Simyelp. The prices are usually $20.99 for one room, and the suites cost $50.99! The whole top floor is reserved for the well-known company, Coca-Cola. -------------------------------- Dependencies: BLaM Essentials V1: http://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/16248-blam-essentials-version-1/ BSC Mega Props - Misc. Description This is a fictional building. Avenue Nightclub and Lounge is a three story, ultra modern club for your city's nightlife. The front door opens at night and sometimes you'll see people lined up outside the entrance and/or a group of people on the patio. Information This building is a w2w corner Building dimensions: 2x3 Building with parking lot: 2x4 Comes as a Landmark and Growable CS$$ (I would make a ploppable CS$$, but I don't know how to do that yet) Dependencies (for DarkNite only) SimFox: Day and Nite modd Installation Download and extract either DarkNite (DN) or MaxisNite (MN) files into your plugins folder. Enjoy!
  5. Ciudad del Lago, fictional

    Version 1.0.0

Ciudad del Lago (matias93's first attepmt in creating content for SC4 community) How to install This map is in .sc4m format, so you need SC4Mapper or SC4Terraformer to install it (I recommend both). Both programs could be found in the LEX or STEX. With Mapper: 1. Having it, you have to go to your Regions folder (usually, in Documents/SimCity 4/Regions) and create a subfolder with the desired name. 2. Open the Mapper and click on 'Create Region', choose 'SC4M' as source and check the map is correctly loaded. You can change the city tiles distribution with 'Edit config.bmp' if you want, or leave as it is. 3. When ready, click 'Save Region', choose a name and close the Mapper. 4. Open the game and change to the new region. The colours will be the ones you have in the Mapper, and will change to match your water and terrain mods while you save your city tiles. ----- What is this region? Ciudad del Lago is a fictional location that I've terraformed along years of playing with Maxis' Berlin and London regions (yes, that stream on the west is what's left of the Spree). After adding more than 100% of new area, I decided to try and see what you can do with this place. The terraforming, of course, does not mimic a purely natural terrain, but includes several modifications, that allow a faster settlement of infraestructure, like sea and airports, leveled city centres and some adequately sloped lanes for motorways. There's also a lot of natural barriers, which would add some fun (and the need of several tunnels and brigdes). In the most terraformed areas, I opted for keeping the terrain exactly 30 meters over sea level, allowing to draw brigdes that permit the pass of ferries. Using those platforms (or newer analogous), you can extend ferry lines up to the extremes of all causeways, complementing your network infraestructure. The whole map extends over a 24 kilometers side square. This files are a free contribution, that can be redistributed in its original form or remixed, by mentioning the authors name. The original creator of some pieces is Maxis, and I remixed it and added most of the map.
  6. Version 1.0.0

As says in the Title, it's 64x64, or 4288 Real life Square Kilometers, to give an idea of how big that is, the size of Timbuktu and when you automatically create a new Region is 16x16, or 268 Square Kilometers. How to use/download the Region: 1. Download the config.bmp and Floris.jpg files. 2. After you've downloaded the config.bmp and Floris.jpg files, you wan't to start a new automatic region. 3. Then you wan't to hold down [shift] + [alt] + [ctrl] + r, and double-click on the Floris.jpg file, and Wallah! WARNING: May take up to 8 Minutes to download the Region (ingame) Also, be sure you create a new folder in your "SimCity 4 Regions" Folder, with both the jpg and bmp files in it, so that way it doesn't flood your "Downloads" Folder, and that's about it, enjoy! (Floris Valley town, not included)
  7. config.bmp

    Version 1.0.2

    config.bmp, required.
  8. Version 1.0.0

Do you want to put your city at the forefront of astronomical research and make it a destination for space enthusiasts everywhere? Than build the Sagan-Tyson Center for Space, and citizens will come from all around to bask in the wonders of the cosmos! The Sagan-Tyson Center for Space boasts an impressive collection of labs and offices for your city's brightest astronomers and astrophysicists, a rooftop observatory with a small-diameter telescope, a spacious planetarium with the latest in projection technology, several great exhibits on the history and future of space exploration and the nature of the cosmos, and a full-size mock-up of a Saturn V rocket from NASA's Apollo program. The basics: Found under Unique Buildings, Level 5. 14x10 lot. The custom model is 13,949 triangles. Includes diffuse, specular, alpha, illumination, and normal textures at 2048x2048. Includes custom LOD with custom textures. The LOD is 854 tris, with 256x256 textures. Costs $30,000 in-game. Has 4 entrances and several hangout areas. Towering above the city at 110.6 meters (363 feet), the Saturn V rocket is 1:1 scale, and gives an idea of just how big these rockets were. This is a fictional building, with some elements inspired by real buildings, mainly the rooftop observatory, based on the Doane Observatory at Chicago's Adler Planetarium, and the planetarium, based on the American Museum of Natural History's Hayden Planetarium. Installation: Download the desired file. Extract the .CRP file/s from the ZIP archive you downloaded. Place the .CRP file in: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Colossal Order\Cities_Skylines\Addons\Assets Please let me know if there are any issues, or if you have any ideas or designs for other buildings you'd be interested in seeing made! Thanks for downloading, and enjoy!
  9. Gracemeria

    Version 1.0.0

This map is based on the map from Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation. Unfortunately, I had to scale it down a bit. I hope you all enjoy it!! Please note: The uploaded file is just a screenshot. To download it, please get it from the Steam Workshop, link below! Steam Workshop Link: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=473334947 It's a very flat map, with some hills and such in the outskirts and where the King's Castle was located on the western side of the map. Good amount of resources for those who like to just build without worrying about scarce resources!
  10. Valley And Hills

This is my first map for CSL. I made it, cause I want to play without a given highway network, something more rural. The most parts of the map are flat, so it is easy to build on. The upper part of the main river can be used for a hydroelectrical plant. There is no ship traffic but you will find street- and train-connection to all directions, and routes for airplanes. Also the map offers a lot of fertil soil, some ore, some oil. Cheers, Carl
  11. Mountain Valley

The heightmap was carefully crafted in World Machine and imported into the Cities: Skylines map making tool for finishing. The map features a modest sized, flat central valley for city building, with a narrow meandering river cutting through the land. The valley is surrounded by tall mountains. There is a highway that travels east to west, descending steeply off the mountainside using switchbacks and elevated causeways to help navigate the steep pass. It then cuts across the valley and follows the river out the other side. The buildable tiles are focused on the central valley, but include some of the surrounding mountain terrain too if you're up for a challenge. Resources include patches of fertile ground at the bottom of the valley, ore in the mountains and lots of trees everywhere. The river has a gentle flow and will carry away waste water nicely, but it is the map's soul source of water so plan accordingly. I recommend starting your city where the highway and river are close to each other to have easy access to water and imports/exports. The highway does not contain any interchanges so you will have to construct your own, such at a standard diamond interchange or even a ground level crossing, to lead into your city. To install, place the file into your C:\Users\*USER*\AppData\Local\Colossal Order\Cities_Skylines\Maps folder, then you should be able to open in in the map editing tool. From there, click the gear at the top right, re-save the map and be sure to check the "Publish Map in New Game Panel" so it will be available to choose from in your main maps list. Let me know if you have any trouble.
  12. South West County

    Version 1.0

This is quite a large fictional region that I made using the Landscape designer. Although I did edit it after to make it larger and more interesting!
  13. Zakala.sc4m

    Version 1.0

fictional map I created, region size 12x16 mostly large city tiles, some medium and a few small. The river mouths are a bit of a navigational hazard for ships cause of the very shallow waters surrounding them, which also causes rather strong currents making it also rather dangerous for swimming. Especialy with the southern river mouth. The region also has a weid mountain next to a lake, which has geologists baffled as theye have no idear how that formed. Not that this matters for hotel chains who are eagerly waiting permission to build "beach" resorts and tall hotel towers near it, sure that the view will attract many tourists sc4 mapper file. Cant upload greyscale sadly as sc4mapper somehow makes the greyscale file too dark causing the region to be entirly below sea level. Guess I could name that file atlantis
  14. Maxisland 2.0 aka Santa Bella

    Version 1.0

Maxisland 2.0 aka Santa Bella Ever wanted to play the Maxisland region but found it too small or too lumpy for your terrain mod? Ever wish that the city tiles had been optimized for bridge building? Presenting Maxisland 2.0. This expanded version of the original map fixes many of the problems with the original Maxisland. Several passes through SC4Terraformer's height compressor have leveled out the plains to where even the strictest of slope mods won't complain. The city tiles have been optimized for bridge building, and the region is now 32x32 instead of a cramped 16x16. The terrain has also been run through a couple of erosion cycles to add some realism. I want to make clear that this is not a very original map. This is simply an altered version of Maxisland. I am releasing this based on feedback from readers of my City Journal. Feel free to make further modifications as you see fit. All credit for this map goes to Maxis and the SC4Terraformer. Enjoy.

  16. Bretton River Valley

    Version 1.0

Aco presents... ACONIA This map is a relatively small (16 large tile) map of the (fictional) area known as the Bretton River Valley. It contains a few mountains and many rolling hills, and has a river that splits in two near the end. There's really not much to say about it, but it will be featured in a future journal. Installation instructions: 1. Install SC4Terraformer OR SC4Mapper (preferred) if you haven't. 2. Extract the contents of the zip file provided below. If using SC4Terraformer: 1. Create a new folder for your region in your game directory (C:\Users\XXXX\Documents\SimCity 4\Regions). 2. Put your config.bmp in this folder. 3. Load the region into SC4T. 4. Find "import image" or something along the lines of that in the global tools. 5. Select your extracted .sc4m file 6. Click OK 7. Remember to save your region! If using SC4Mapper: 1. Click "create region" 2. Create it from .SC4M file 3. Save your region. 4. Profit!!! I hope these instructions were clear enough. If you need clearer instructions, don't hesitate to pm me!
