Not sure if people want to use these, but I'm always on the lookout for smaller wall-to-wall buildings and only really started playing SC4 again after LEX was shuttered. Therefore until such time as the LEX restoration work brings back SG's content in its official form, I created fairly basic W2W lots for 62 (I think) of his buildings, mostly commercial although with two residential buildings as well. These are lotted without setbacks and therefore should visually match most North American-style W2W buildings (although possibly not Smalltown USA or spa's Halifax series). All the model files are in the BSC Common Dependencies Pack labelled "SG Models [type].dat". The only other dependency should be the SHK Parking Pack. (I will be back sooner or later with additional BATs, have just been dealing with a lot of mental health problems)
  2. I just installed version 9a of the BSC Common Dependencies Pack over at SC4Evermore, upgrading from version 7 that was in my game. I realized that, although I had version 7, after installing that I had installed a lot of SimGoober's lots downloaded from here. Upon installing v9a of the Common Dependencies Pack, the cleanitol that I ran removed many of the growable Simgoober lots from my game. The Best Buy growables were all removed, for example. There's a ton of these that were removed. I suppose the reason for this is because the models were also datpacked in one file along with the building exemplars, and the only way to remove the model was to remove the builing exemplar as well. But that means that these buildings won't grow in my game at all. And there's no "modern" replacement right now, because they're not on SC4Evermore at this time. Would it be ok for me to temporarily move the files back into my Plugins until these buildings are re-released? I know that there's the occasional problem with SimGoober's buildings sometimes, as I've had to fix some of them myself. But I'd hate to be playing and not have these grow. Any suggestions?
  3. Canal Color

Forgive this sophomore question; is there a canal set with the same color as the canal addon mod? We have SG's lovely industrial murk, Canal Addon Mods darker murk, and Oppie's lovely clear blue. Is there another canal set that's the canal addon mod color? I'm running NAM 47.
  4. I had a lot of trouble getting SimGoober's old lots to install, Windows 11 apparently doesn't support the old version used for the installer. I finally tracked down a potential fix, it doesn't tell you anywhere that it's Defender that won't allow a directory to be created. I looked in Virus & Threat Protection > Protection History and had to allow each individual DL through manually. I hope this pans out for others going forward, because there's no indication of the problem.
  5. I cannot see the stats on SimGoober buildings? When I click on other buildings I see the stats like capacity, ect.. but when I click SimGoober Buildings no window pops up. Any help would be greatly appreciated :-)
  6. Is the Simgoober Auto Factory elsewhere?
  7. I'm trying to download Bell Industries (v1.0) by SimGoober to use with IRM lot but the website is not online Anyone have that file or a mirror?
  8. Canal Set by SG

Hello all, is the Canal set in the NAM all the Files from Sim Goober or do i need to install em Step by Step (the others)? Greetings, Oliver

Boats for CAL Canals (2007 Baseset), by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- By request, I have made available the four recently released boats as an add-on for the CAL_Goobers Canals 2007 Baseset. It is important to note that CAL made TWO types of canals and each looks slightly different. As extra clarification, this download is for the set of canal pieces that use the white-edging originally made by Simgoober. They are not interchangeable with the later-released Stone Canal Base set (which has a brown edging). Apart from plop-costs and a slight pollution reduction, these boats are in-game neutral lots which use the same stats as the water-tile piece. Each lot has a unique icon to identify it in the Parks Menu; they are found adjacent to the lots of the original canal set. --------------------------------------- STATS PARK: Lot size : 2x2 Plop Cost: $ 140 Bulldoze Cost: $ 10 Demand Satisfied: R$ 0, R$$ 0, R$$$ 0 Pollution: 0 (Air)/ -2 (Water)/ 0 (Garbage ) Pollution Radius: 0/0/0 Park Effect: 0 over 0 tiles Landmark Effect: 0 over 0 tiles Monthly cost: $ 0 Power Consumed: 0 Mwh Water Consumed: 0 Gal/Month Occupant Group: Building: Civic; Building: Park --------------------------------------- NOTE ABOUT DARK NITE vs MAXIS NITE: This model has no nightlights: therefore there is no need to select the appropriate file from the download. --------------------------------------- DEPENDENCIES: CAL Goobers Canals 2007 Baseset BSC.dat - (https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=979) Sailing Boat - (https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/33886-sailing-boat/) Luxury Yacht - (https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/33885-luxury-yacht/) Super Yacht - (https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/33884-super-yacht/) Boaty McBoatFace - (https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/33875-boaty-mcboatface/) --------------------------------------- To install, simply unzip the contents of this file into your plugins folder.

  11. BTE ag rewards issues

My other issue with Ag is this... I installed the SPAM, then a few SPAM addons, then some of the SimGoober crops, because they're more colorful (if they would grow... see above). Well, the next thing I know, I'm getting a rewards dialog box w/ my environmental advisor about a CSX ag co-op... but when I click on the hyperlink in the rewards dialog box, the arrow just turns red, it doesn't show the outline of a building underneath the arrow (like it does when it works right.) and there's nothing for me to plop. Okay. So I went out and found the files I thought were the rewards files for the CSX, including the Co-op. (I say "think" because the name isn't exact but very similar.) These files. But I STILL have the same issue when I get the reward dialog box. No reward building when I click on the hyperlink. Not in the reward menu either. Funny thing is... I definitely hadn't installed a rewards mod for that co-op before getting the reward dialog box. (Yes, I know, this sound implausible, but I was shocked when I saw it the first time, because I hadn't installed anything that would bring it up but some SimGoober I-Ag fields.) So I figured it was built into the SG files. So then I went out, found the rewards mod that supposedly went with the CSX ag co-op, thinking maybe I need all the files to make it work right... and I'm STILL not able to plop the reward building. (Note, I'm trying to figure out which files those were, and maybe I'm misremembering? Here's a listing of all the ag-related BTE files I have.) So I've got farm files, the farm field dependencies, and the rewards files. That should be all I need, right? The problem is, I found out about all of this via searching for buildings on the STEX instead of some kind of nice tutorial or omnibus file spelling out all of this in detail, so I’ve had to figure things out in a very roundabout manner because I couldn't' find something that spells it all out. (Forgive me if I’m not fully getting it right.) I’m pretty sure all of these are BSC/BTE enabled. (Like, that’s the mechanism that makes all of this work, right?) I’ve installed a few other BTE reward files (like the bakery)… I don’t think I’ve ever gotten the reward. (I know for a fact I have the Shottesbrook Winery installed and I’ve never gotten it as a reward yet, even though I have massive ag cities. I just assumed it might have to do with the fact that I mainly seem to grow SPAM fields, and possibly having to do with the fact that my SG/BTE fields don’t get crops? (See my other thread .) Am I zoning the fields wrong? Am I supposed to be holding down Ctrl (on a Mac) so it has directional arrows? Am I NOT supposed to be holding it down so it's a free field of I-Ag? (I've done both.) (And, yes, this is a lot of troubleshooting for a co-op I didn't even try to earn and didn't necessarily even want from the start.) Anyway, sorry if this is all a mess. It’s kinda a mess to me and confusing, which is why I even hesitated to bring it up for so long. (Is there someplace that spells all this out simply and easily from the start? I've read this thread which helped some but didn't really give me all the basics and I did read the SPAM documentation 2-3x in its entirety so I get the SPAM and how it works… for the most part.)
  12. I'm curious about why my SimGoober growable I-Ag farms never end up getting crops on them, no matter how many years they're around. They only ever have tilled, empty fields, despite having all the dependencies installed. (Besides, if I didn't have all the dependencies installed, I'd be getting a bunch of brown boxes in each field when it tried to grow crops, right? Right?) Is there a subforum for BTE issues or for Ag issues? (I guess the more simple question is... there's not a well known issue of SimGoober and/or BTE ag files not playing well with the SPAM, right? I think I researched it before I installed them and couldn't find any mention of issues.)

KOSC Presents: IndustryMania: Simgoober's Costco Distribution Center Introduction Costco Distribution Center is the 2nd release of my IndustryMania series. This is a set of re-lots and expansions for Simgoober's Costco Distribution Center. Package Overview These lots were designed for accommodating logistics and freight in which the original could not. The lot sizes have been expanded overall so there's more rooms for worker parking as well as freight to move around. Additionally, there is a new super distribution center that essentially doubles the available warehouse space in an attempt to emulate the massive, massive distribution centers in real life. These gigantic lots boasts expansive spaces for trucks to move about, as well as a plethora of stalls for trucks and cargo alike. Included in the following package is a set of custom base textures and 5 growable I-M lots: 3 for the super variant and 2 for the regular. There are IRM friendly versions for each of the centers. If you desire to plop the lots, use the buildingPlop cheat and look for the exemplar "KOSC_SG_CostcoDist_Super" for the super version, and "SG_CostcoDistribution_Grow" for the regular. (requires ExtraCheats.dll) General Stats The brand new Super Distribution Center lots will provide 750 I-M jobs. They are available in the following configuration: 15x12, 16x9, stage 1 7x10, stage 2 Additionally, there are two re-lots of the original (which are also based off the original descriptor). 7x6, stage 2 8x9, stage 1 Detailed stats and information can be found in the enclosed README. Install Instructions Drop the files in your My Documents/SimCity 4/Plugins folder. Dependencies This one is a bit of a doozy when it comes to dependencies! The good news is that if you have the IRM, most of the prop packs should be accounted for. Main Building(s) You will only need one of the following versions for the lot to work. KOSC Presents: RetailMania - Simgoober's Costco Wholesale Introduction Costco Wholesale is the 3rd release from my RetailMania series. This is a set of re-lots for Simgoober's classic Costco Retail BAT aimed at expanding the retail location to include more than just the club warehouse. Package Overview These lots are redone to better coincide with their real-life counterparts and feature things like the food court, auto center and gas station. A set of custom gas station textures was created to better emulate the road markings found in actual Costco locations across the United States. Included in the following package are a set of custom textures and 4 lots: 3 CS$$ growables and 1 CS$$ ploppable landmark with jobs. The ploppable landmark only utilizes one of the 3 possible growable layouts. Both types share the same stats as follows: If you desire to plop the growables, use the buildingPlop cheat and look for exemplars starting at KOSC_SG_LargeCostcoWithGas (requires ExtraCheats.dll). Install Instructions Drop the files in your My Documents/SimCity 4/Plugins folder. To uninstall, simply delete the files from your hard drive. General Stats The included lots will provide 591 CS$$ jobs. They are available in the following configuration: 2 10x10 left corner, stage 1 1 10x10 right corner, stage 1 Stats were generated with PIM-X, and coincide with the revised model pack version found on SC4D. Detailed stats and information can be found in the enclosed README. Install Instructions Drop the files in your My Documents/SimCity 4/Plugins folder. KOSC Presents: RetailMania - Simgoober's Super Shopping Center #1 Introduction Super Shopping Center #1 is the 2nd release from my RetailMania series and the first in a long line of classic Simgoober re-lots. This set of lots is based on Simgoober's original Super Center 2 strip mall complex and enhances the original through two principles: breaking up the original buildings into individual lots for growing as well as offering several gigantic new ploppable complexes in varying configurations. Package Overview The original strip mall complex has been made bigger, badder and massively more detailed than before. While the original came in two versions (18x6, 18x7), the lot layout was pretty straightforward and only differed in an additional row of parking space. This set kicks this up a notch and comes in three very distinct (and large) ploppable versions. Furthermore, each individual building also has a small footprint growable that is more suited for urban use. Included in the following package are a total of 6 lots: 3 CS$$ growables and ploppables. Two of the ploppables use all three buildings while the last complex is a smaller one that only utilizes two. All ploppables are transit enabled. If you desire to plop the growables, use the buildingPlop cheat and look for exemplars starting at KOSC_SG_Super (requires ExtraCheats.dll) General Stats The included growable lots will provide between 261-342 CS$$ jobs. They are available in the following configurations: 1 5x5 front, stage 2 2 7x3 front, stage 2 Ploppable lots are located in the landmarks menu and provide between 622-932 CS$$ jobs in the following flavors: 20x11, $111,000 plop cost 15x11, $100,000 plop cost 12x10, $80,000 plop cost Detailed stats and information can be found in the enclosed README. KOSC presents: Simgoober's Large Shopping Center Relot, Sunny SoCal Style Introduction This is a realistic re-lot attempt of one of Simgoober's classic MEGA sized strip mall lots for the Classic Model, New Lot challenge. The lot was redone in a Southern California theme with giant fan palms lining each parking block. More variations will eventually be available once this building has been fully integrated into my Retail Mania (ReM) series. Package Overview Included in the following package is a single GROWABLE CS$$ lot. This massive shopping center takes advantage of the extra space with copious parking space, including several accessibility sections. Improvements over the original include stops, crosswalks and a massive extended rear parking section. If you desire to plop the lot, use the buildingPlop cheat and look for the exemplar KOSC_SC_LargeShoppingCenter. General Stats Large Shopping Center Lot Sizes: 14x9 Growth Stage: 1 Service Capacity: 569 CS$$, 2269 CS$ when dilapidated Density Requirement: Low Power/Water: 46/548 Pollution at Center A/W/G/R: 21/14/28/0 Pollution Radius A/W/G/R: 5/6/0/0 This building grows on ALL tilesets, and is also Transit Enabled. Due to the incredibly low chance that something will replace this lot after it has grown, I decided to make this a TE growable lot. 19. I am looking to add some agriculture resources mods to my game, you know, some more farm buildings, crop tiles, just eyecandy and variety stuff basically, to complement what is in the game already. I am not looking to add agriculture gameplay mods like SPAM or CAM. Alright, I found there is for example SimGoober farms that seem to fit me, or JMyers farms... but here comes the dealbreaker. Especially SimGoober's are dependencies hell! There are tons of direct dependencies and also indirect dependencies that the direct dependencies seem to require. So I basically gave up. Not sure if it is really worth it to spend days and weeks to sort out outdated readmes, broken links, props and textures that are now included in some MEGA pack file - or not... It would be great to see some more farming variety, but this is very time consuming. JMyers Farms volume 1 appears to be easy, there is only one dependency and I got it. (basically the BCS Mega Props JMyers or something similarly named). JMyers volume 2 is more complicated, I'm struggling to determine which one is the correct "BSC .... BLS GA" download do get. Then there is JMyers volume 4, but there seems to be no JMyers volume 3?? Anyways I'm a bit frustated there. Do you know a farming variety mod that is fairly easy and straightforward to install? That would be very helpful, thank you.

When the city council said to major Fantozzi let's try to honor the two times "Come-Back-We-Miss-You-Award" winner SimGoober, major Fantozzi engaged the young Danish landscape designer Lotti Følsom. Her idea was to create a very peaceful place. This is the result. Goobers Water. Lot Type: Park Size: 5x7 Plop Cost: $1,200 Monthly Cost: $40 Air Pollution (Reduction): -18/20 Water Pollution (Reduction): -8/20 Park Effect: 60/20 Before downloading please make sure you already have the following dependencies or if they are still available ... ... as Lotti used 9 dependencies: BSC BAT Props LiL Vol2.DAT BSC Mega Props – CP Vol01 BSC Mega Props – CP Vol02 BSC MEGA Props - Misc Vol02 BSC MEGA Props - SG Vol01 BSC MEGA Props - swi21 Vol01 Grfe_props_pack_LE_maples.dat BSC_TexturePack_Cycledogg_V 01 BSC Textures Vol01 Major Fantozzi feels the need to make this personal note: He was very proud that SimGoober personally came to the opening festivities of Goobers Water. The pictures shot on this occasion show him on on the park entrance at the right side. It seems a local journalist asked him even for an interview. At least major Fantozzi says so. Me personally (to add also a note) I don't believe it was a journalist. There is a single lot-file in this download. Simply put it in the plugin folder of your game and make sure you have all dependencies.
  21. I have been going crazy trying to stop a crash on SC4 Deluxe Edition (Europe). Now I know exactly WHEN it crashes. I just don't know WHY! I have SimGoober's Canals (BSC_Install_Canals_BasePack) & Locks (BSC_Install_Canals_Locks). Of course I have the NAM (NetworkAddonMod Setup 31.2) and (Install_BSC_Essentials). I can play SC4 Deluxe indefinitely. But immediately as I attempt to lay a road or street beside the SG Canal Locks, the game crashes to desktop! Does anyone know what is happening?
  22. SimGoober Fest 2011

SimGooberfest 2011! Sometimes I just want to putz around with Sim City. So, I have a region or two not part of Schulmania that I use when I want to do something different. In one region, I build big. In one, I build random. In the random one, I had a medium size tile I decided to put something lower density on. (In case you are wondering, the tile was named Catclaw Acacia, which may become the official national tree of Harar). As I was building, I noticed that there were tons of SimGoober’s buildings popping up all over town. Now, for those of you not familiar with SimGoober, he is one of the most prolific and popular builders in the history of SimCity 4. His contributions on the STEX have combined downloads in the millions. And if you are making a realistic looking city, it just would not be complete without something from the SG stable. So, I decided to start counting just how many different SG works I had in the city. I combed through fairly carefully and took some pictures. And those pictures are now a tribute to one of the sim world’s greatest builders. Welcome to SimGooberfest! There’s no storyline here, just a compilation of some of SimGoober’s works. His commercial buildings are essential to any town and he has plenty of residential and other buildings as well. Enjoy, and if you don’t have these buildings, hit the STEX and stock up! And now the challenge: Let's see your best pix of SimGoober's stuff! <------Click here to see the revolving globe showing Schulmania's visitors!

GooberGen Labs has gone Hi-Tech! With the incredible demand for the Fukitol™ products, a newer, more modern facility is needed to keep the Sims happy and content. Equipped with the latest solar technology, this plant is 80% self sufficient! It uses very little outside power or water, and creates a minimum of garbage. So sit back, relax, and pop a few capsules. The world just seems a little less stressful, when you "Fukitol". I actully made this one last June. I put it in a pending folder, and it kept slipping my mind.... I guess I was using too much of the product. Three lots are included, all on a 6x5 lot. One "normal" growable, one CAM growable and one plop.
