This SC4 Legacy Pack features the complete set of the Moonlinght Japan Canals Collection, including Props and Lots, which had been available his website. Please note that this pack is expected to receive updates in the near future. Do not redistribute without asking first, mostly as doing so would complicate efforts to properly maintain, update, and provide technical support for the pack. INSTALLATION: This package utilizes a Java-based installer (similar to the one used with the Network Addon Mod), and can also be opened and installed manually using 7-Zip or Keka. To install it, you'll either need the Java Runtime Environment to run the installer--Adoptium's open-source edition is recommended--or a zip tool capable of opening the installer to allow manual installation. For Windows/Linux, use 7-zip, and for macOS, use Keka. Once into the installer, after agreeing to the terms for the package, click to the Files tab to select which dependencies you wish to install (making no changes here will install everything). Then, click to the Location tab to set up an installation location (this should be the root of your My DocumentsSimCity 4Plugins folder). After this, click over to the Install tab, and click "Start installation" to begin the installation procedure. When installation is complete, the tab pop up a message indicating it, after which you are safe to close the installer. It is highly recommended to run the cleanitol with the installer and remove any previous versions from your plugins. Optionally in the ~Documents folder in the main ZIP you can find a collective/master and separately all the individual cleanitol files and by using either the newer nos.17's SC4 Cleanitol or the older BSC Cleanitol tool you can search and remove old and outdated versions of these files. Bear in mind that this Collection contains Prop packs only available with this upload. Those prop packs can be used and referenced by other contents may not part of this collection as dependencies. If a 3rd party upload references one of the prop packs available in this Collection, you don't need to install everything, you can select and install only the referenced prop pack. All prop packs (and the lot packs as well) have individual cleanitol files (besides the Cleanitol_MASTER REMOVE LIST_Moonlight_Canals_Collection.txt) and they have Prop Catalogue index images as a help for lotters. DLL DEPENDENCIES: In order for the contents of this package to display correctly by taking advantage of the new DLL Mods requires the complete installation of the following dependencies (the below listed dependencies are covering a full install): Submenus DLL - You need it to get the package submenu working. Compatible only with the digital version (1.1.641) of SimCity 4 (Microsoft Windows and Linux only). DEPENDENCIES: The following files are required in order for the contents of this package to appear correctly and they work correctly (i.e., no "brown boxes" or missing textures) (Bear in mind that the original readmes are also available in the ~Documents/Moonlight folder, but they have not been updated): SC4D LEX Legacy - BSC Common Dependencies Pack v9 (and above) The below listed dependencies are all can be found in the hereby linked dependency pack compilation BSC MEGA Props Gascooker Vol01 v2 BSC MEGA Props CP Vol01 BSC MEGA Props swi21 Vol01 4 Network Addon Mod (V48 or above) The below listed dependencies are all can be found in the hereby linked dependency pack compilation. Canal Addon Mod (CAN-AM) SFBT Essentials JENX-Porkie Expanded Porkie Props CREDITS: The following members contributed models, textures, and modding support to this collection: Moonlight Mas 71 Tadasu Nemu This package has been made possible by the Project ZIP efforts of Tyberius06 and Ulisse Wolf. Special Thanks Webmaster & administration staff at SC4 Devotion & Simtropolis (STEX) And possibly others who may not have been mentioned. If your name has been forgotten or you're not on the list, then drop us a line, as it has been difficult to keep track of anyone/everyone that may of helped somewhere along the lines. And to the community itself, we would also like to thank you for your support, making mods such as this possible too. We're still at it after 20 years thanks to you! And last but not least, a thanks for the Maxis individuals too, for the [paid] work that they did. ;-)
  2. This is a bit of a niche problem, given that the Diggis canal mod isn't heavily used, but I've been trying to breath some new life into it. Unfortunately, I've found a display bug that I cannot seem to find the cause of. The problem is that the medium wealth (SimGoober canals by default, Moonlights in my modified version) display for Rail-over-canals is not displaying the water tile. All other T21 wealth stages display correctly for it, and this problem doesn't occur with any other network over canal. I had initially thought that the problem might have occurred during my modding, but I performed a fresh install of the Diggis mod and am getting the same results (shown in the spoilers below). This has me suspecting the problem is with the Network T21 modding in the original file, but this leads me to a wall as while I can modify GUID's and exemplars just fine, the T21 modding is unfortunately over my head. I'm hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction for what in the T21 I would need to change in order to correct the bug.
  3. Hello, I think the title isn't accurate but hold on a minute. We know that NAM includes CAN-AM pieces from Simgoober or Callagrafx. I use the Simgoober option. The question is, what exactly is the mod containing the full pieces of the (or the mod supposed to be represented by) CAN-AM? BSC Canals? CAL Goobers 2007? Thanks.
  4. I have NAM 38 on a very new Windows system. The only other transit-related mod I have is RTMT; other than that I have no mods (to my recollection) other than some bug fixes (e.g. Opera House) and the Industry Quadrupler. I see that with NAM 38, there's an option to add canals, but when I try to use it, it just produces tiles of void. Do I need to download the Canal Addon Mod (or something) separately to get the right textures/whatever? Thanks!
  5. Does anyone know of any Canal to Ferry converter lots out there? I'd really like to be able to create a more seamless transition between the CAN-AM and real water and was hoping there might be a transit converter lock or something out there that can convert CAN-AM "boats" (busses) to passenger ferries and vice versa.
  6. CAN-AM Tutorials?

Are there any good CAN AM tutorials out there that any of you would recommend?
  7. Dear All, Recently I noticed I was able to place a canal with NAM, Then I followed some tutorials from the forums and built one sample in a sandbox city. I think the canal's function is normal. But I didn't notice any of boat travelling along. I wasn't sure if it was possible as the canal water is a mod that is just covering a normal eyecandy tile, however I have seen boats from other's pictures. Then I try many ways and still saw no moving boats, I tried a range of canal set ups with different stations etc, There were numbers (usage) at the stops(pics below) with passenger and freight, but no animated boats along the canal. Would anyone know if I'm missing anything? Thank you very much. By the way, I just installed SG' can-am from NAM 36 and ML's can-am(Japanese mod) Sincerely, -- Raymond
  8. Hi all! I`ve never cared about canals before due to a low end pc. Kept things at an minimum. Now I`ve got a new pc. Now I want to give canals a try. But there are several to choose from. I`ve read about some of them. Seen some in CJs. They are all good looking I think. But...which to use? I would pick only one as starter. Don`t care about streams, creeks and waterfalls. But I do like the idea of making some ponds. I would use canals in urban and industrial settings. Which, in your opinion are most suitable? Best developed? Best supported, add-ons and so on? Thanks. EDIT: If you should ask...For now I use no road/street-side mod. Planning to use Sudden Valley Terrain Mod. Open for suggestion about watermod.
  9. I have been going crazy trying to stop a crash on SC4 Deluxe Edition (Europe). Now I know exactly WHEN it crashes. I just don't know WHY! I have SimGoober's Canals (BSC_Install_Canals_BasePack) & Locks (BSC_Install_Canals_Locks). Of course I have the NAM (NetworkAddonMod Setup 31.2) and (Install_BSC_Essentials). I can play SC4 Deluxe indefinitely. But immediately as I attempt to lay a road or street beside the SG Canal Locks, the game crashes to desktop! Does anyone know what is happening?
