  1. HBS Mall Del Sur Relot

    I've got a folder on my desktop with all types of SimCity 4 projects I had started on and abandoned. With the completion of my B62 lots, I decided to go back through everything and clean it out. This paticular one had been lingering there for over a year; it's good to have it done, to be honest. Many thanks to @Simmer2 for making me custom bollards to use. The lot just wouldn't be complete without them. ---------------------- Installation & Use: ---------------------- Simply drag the new lots into your plugins folder. With regards toHeblem's files, see the readme for which lots can be safely deleted. Please refer to the provided image HBS_MallDelSur_Config.png (included in the *.zip) for the correct plopping orientation. As depicted on the image, all of the lots are Network Enabled with road, and lot 1A is additionally Network Enabled with Avenue. The lots utilize timed and/or seasonal props, which may take a few months in-game to properly appear. ------- Stats: ------- Each of the lots shares the same footprint and general layout of Heblem's original upload, allowing for a simple swap with this version, should you want to do that.     MargoCity is the grand Mall in Depok City, West Java, Indonesia. It located on Margonda street in the center point of Depok City. Besides MargoCity, in that street was built other mall, there are Depok Town Square (Detos), ITC Mall Depok, D-Mall (Depok Mall), etc. But overall, MargoCity more popular than other. I've ever created MargoCity Mall Depok Version 1 in this site, but it is so bad BAT design and nightlighting, because it my fisrt experience in creating BAT. With some changes, the difference MargoCity Version 2 and older is in following : 1. More improvement in texturing 2. Lot 3. Smaller in size 4. More improvement in nightlighting 5.   3. As tourism is booming in Principauté de Caravella-Guatalaga, the number of hotel rooms is also increasing rapidly in Port de Caravella. Various hotels have opened in recent years with big chains like Hyatt, Mercure and Holiday Inn trying to get a fair share of the tourism market. One of the fine exceptions to these chains is the Victoria Hotel located at Place Victoria. The hotel originally opened in 1788 and is a landmark building ever since. Today, Hotel Victoria is located at the point where both Light Rail lines (Ligne Bleu and Ligne Rouge) come together ... but more on that in a later update. Since 2007, the Grand Hyatt Hotel is located next door to Hotel Victoria. Another addition to the booming tourist industry is the Spring Mall, located on the west side of the old city. The mall holds 78 different Retail stores, including brands like Zara, Mango, Media Markt, H&M and a Coca-Cola brand store. Across from the Spring Mall is the CBS (Caravella Broadcasting Service) building. All national TV and radio stations are located within this building. But if you are a tourist and want to escape all of this, then Plage de Petite Baie is the place to go. Although being one of the smallest beaches in the country it's less touristic as the bigger beaches and usually occupied by the locals that live in the old town. If you like it, let me know!
  4. Harrods

    Harrods, by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- Inspired by the iconic department store on Brompton Rd, Knightsbridge, Harrods is presented as a CS§§§ growable and ploppable lot for your cities. Please be aware that the present day Harrods has been extended and remodelled a number of times since the main building on Brompton Rd was completed in 1905, so this is NOT a strict recreation, but what I present is faithful to the original façade as designed by Charles Stephens, albeit with modifications to make it more game-ready. I have only modelled the front portion of the building. It must be noted that the present building has completely over-run the old streets of 'Queens Gardens' and 'New Place' and wrapped its way around what used to be known as Queen Street and Lower North St (since renamed Hans Rd and Basil St respectively), consuming the old Hans Mansion block and other buildings in the process. Because these streets run at odd angles and curves, even with the FAR roads and other NAM advances, I felt that modelling all of this would make the building almost completely unusable for the average player. Additionally the original building, aligned to Brompton Rd, was slightly wedged shaped - the old line is still somewhat visible under all of the present day roof additions from Google earth along the Hans Rd façade. Naturally I have squared this off to get this into game, which means that the rear of the building is completely fictitious. The present roof junk and extension of the Mansard roof along all facades is modelled - with slight variations by me - on the most up-to-date renovations: you can compare the differences by using the Google earth program (up-to-date) vs. Bing ?birds-eye/Google maps (out-of-date) to see the remarkable difference to the roof-top in recent years. Lastly, in order to fit the building on a maximum of 8 tiles (which will give it at least some chance of growing), I have removed one set of windows near the turret. Given the lag on my computer, I have also avoided modelling the hundreds of bulbs on the Hans Cres and Hans Roads sides. With all of that said, if you are strictly puritanical about recreations being 100% accurate, then please do not download this. The lot comes in two flavours: a growable Commercial Services and a ploppable, functional C§§§ lot, which is found in the Landmarks Menu.     The relot of the RLS Suburban Mall has arrived! Designed to be the highlight of the suburbs, the mall has been updated to include your choice of different anchors as well as hotel in the parking lot. The mall itself is made of three lots that combine to make one massive lot. When combined the lots take a space of 17x29 tiles. Please note all lots will appear in landmark menu, but may appear as a second or third building lot to an already existing landmark pic. (Depending upon if you decide to keep more than one version of a lot will determine how many repeat icons appear.)     Thank you for looking at one of my low-income neighbourhood stores; something you could expect to see in the rougher ends of town. Featured here is Fabland; a take on the often-decrepit Fabricland that dots the strip malls of my home town. Aside from the anchor store, a couple of small, generic, convenience stores pay the rent for this little mall. It is a growable 5x4 CS$ lot. The building is Dark-Nite compatible.     This upload is of hdorriker's Deconstructivist Mall. My relot is only of the ploppable version that can be found in the landmarks menu. Again this is done in a more sub-tropical/tropical design. I plan on relotting more of hdorrikers work, i will try to limit the use of palm trees to make the lots a bit more universal. All stats are the same as the original file.     KOSC Presents: RetailMania - Simgoober's Super Shopping Center #1 Introduction Super Shopping Center #1 is the 2nd release from my RetailMania series and the first in a long line of classic Simgoober re-lots. This set of lots is based on Simgoober's original Super Center 2 strip mall complex and enhances the original through two principles: breaking up the original buildings into individual lots for growing as well as offering several gigantic new ploppable complexes in varying configurations. Package Overview The original strip mall complex has been made bigger, badder and massively more detailed than before. While the original came in two versions (18x6, 18x7), the lot layout was pretty straightforward and only differed in an additional row of parking space. This set kicks this up a notch and comes in three very distinct (and large) ploppable versions. Furthermore, each individual building also has a small footprint growable that is more suited for urban use. Included in the following package are a total of 6 lots: 3 CS$$ growables and ploppables. Two of the ploppables use all three buildings while the last complex is a smaller one that only utilizes two. All ploppables are transit enabled. If you desire to plop the growables, use the buildingPlop cheat and look for exemplars starting at KOSC_SG_Super (requires ExtraCheats.dll) General Stats The included growable lots will provide between 261-342 CS$$ jobs.     Introduction "tHe Spring Shopping Mall" in Kuching, capital of Sarawak, is the first large-scale lifestyle shopping centre in this city opened to public on the 10th January 2008. With 150 retail outlets, including Parkson, Esprit, Charles & Keith, Starbucks, Quiksilver, Ta Khiong gourmet supermarket, MPH, HSL, Padini, Bonia and other established brands. The shopping mall based on the design of shopping malls popular in Australia and New Zealand, designed by a New Zealand-based architectural firm, Warren & Mahoney. [Google Map Location] The BAT Update 12th March : currently I removed CS$$ lot and only landmark available for download. I suspect maybe something not being done properly on the CS$$ conversion resulting in someone's game crashing. But that just a speculation, remove it just for safety measure... This set of BAT divided into two sections due to the L-shaped structure. Both sections have landmark lot and CS$$ lots. Overall building size may not have the correct proportion as the real world building, as this is modeled solely through picture and Google Map references.     KOSC presents: Simgoober's Large Shopping Center Relot, Sunny SoCal Style Introduction This is a realistic re-lot attempt of one of Simgoober's classic MEGA sized strip mall lots for the Classic Model, New Lot challenge. The lot was redone in a Southern California theme with giant fan palms lining each parking block. More variations will eventually be available once this building has been fully integrated into my Retail Mania (ReM) series. Package Overview Included in the following package is a single GROWABLE CS$$ lot. This massive shopping center takes advantage of the extra space with copious parking space, including several accessibility sections. Improvements over the original include stops, crosswalks and a massive extended rear parking section. If you desire to plop the lot, use the buildingPlop cheat and look for the exemplar KOSC_SC_LargeShoppingCenter.   13. Hey Guys, There was a few of us chatting in @Ronyx69 stream last night and the subject of large malls came up, we realised there wasn't really anything like that in the game. A single large building based off the largest tile size really isn't big enough to simulate the actual real life size malls around the world. I thought a modular system could work, there's a couple of small scale shopping centres of 3 or 4 stores and there's Rik4000's excellent UK Retail assets but they make a Retail Park made up of separate buildings not a single building with smaller units inside. I've done some very basic modelling to work out rough sizes of a potential modular mall. My idea is basically going to have the building made up of three different style of RICO enabled asset. A corner piece, an entrance piece and a straight piece. These will then be able to be used to make a mall of any size to suit the players city. The images below show what I'm thinking so far. It would work as a partly open air mall so we can see what's going on inside, retail unit blocks will go around the outside, a cross of pedestrian roads will go through the middle to enable zoning inside the building where a few small terrace style parks can be added to simulate a food court and open air stalls. Another ring of pedestrian roads can ring the whole building so the units can be zoned. Each asset block has 3 floors of shops. The ground floor unit would have entrances front and back for through pedestrian traffic while the top two floors would be accessible from the inside of the mall via ramps in the entrance pieces. Each section would have a glass roof to cover the walkways. What I'm hoping for is a collaborative effort, it wasn't just my idea so I can't claim for that, also I'm not sure if my modelling skills are quite up to making something of this magnitude yet so I have no problem if someone wants to take my idea and make the buildings into optimised assets. Once the three basic buildings are done we can make different texture maps to make the shops, I'd probably choose mainly British brands as it would suit my style of city but it would be great if other modders can use the same template to add stores for their own countries, this way the completed building could fit within any city style with a huge range of different retail units on the workshop. I am planning on adding more architectural detail to the front of the building. would also be a good place to add branding for the stores within. Any thoughts and is anyone interested in getting on board with this?

    Short description: As my personal entry to the Facelifting Challenge on simtropolis-com, I’ve redesigned one of the Vanilla Maxis buildings, namely, a small mall suitable for a small town filling the gap between single stores and huge malls, by resorting to a series of props and textures previously created by developers during 13 years of intense work. The size of the parking lot has been reduced and trees and signs have been added, the plaza in front of the mall has been decorated and contains some accessoires like bike racks and shopping carts, and the entire lot contains more trees. The Vanilla building’s name is Lee Shopping Mall, it is growing on a 6x5 commercial lot (medium density). All building properties, lot size, and growth stage have been kept the same. This building has its own TGI instance; therefore, it does not override any Maxis building. For further information and lot specifications, please refer to the readme in the download. Available languages: Since no text has been modified or added, the game will use Vanilla text, which will be available in all languages that are available in Sim City 4.     Before voting, we recommend you download and try out this item of content: [Download Here] As my personal entry to the Facelifting Challenge on simtropolis-com, I’ve redesigned one of the Vanilla Maxis buildings, namely, a small mall suitable for a small town filling the gap between single stores and huge malls, by resorting to a series of props and textures previously created by developers during 13 years of intense work. The size of the parking lot has been reduced and trees and signs have been added, the plaza in front of the mall has been decorated and contains some accessoires like bike racks and shopping carts, and the entire lot contains more trees. The Vanilla building’s name is Lee Shopping Mall, it is growing on a 6x5 commercial lot (medium density). All building properties, lot size, and growth stage have been kept the same. This building has its own TGI instance; therefore, it does not override any Maxis building. Content creation: This is a 100% relot.   18. Hey again everybody...I've begun work on what I hope will be a set of strip malls and shopping centers. My goal is to have areas in your city that, like in real life (and the screenshot below), contain large box stores and malls...a shopping mecca if you will. Similar to this: and this: These buildings will all have large parking lots and large numbers of jobs. Here's what I have so far: This is a start, but it looks kind of bland to me... obviously texturing will make it look better, but what else can I add to spice this up? I'm at ~1800 polys, so I'be got plenty of room...thoughts?
  19. Touristy Zinfandel 1

    The other destination, when you go to Zinfandel to have fun (still the kinda mindless sort of fun), it the mall. Not a mall : THE Mall. Weeee ! You can spend a day here -- and a lot of money too. After half a day spent there, P. R. was... well, spent (not to mention lighter, money-wise). She needed some green to touch base with something not artificial. She was then directed to one unique feature of Zinfandel : the Eco Park. The city prides itself in being forward-looking, ecologically. It adresses the nature/culture problem in a different manner than Eden Bay, however, trying to imagine ways of living in the twenty-first century while keeping the environment more or less intact. Hence, the Eco Park : hypertech model buildings... in a park. And the visit is free. It is situated near the Convention Center. P. R., who is a member of the board of the Boreal SF Association, is going to recommend Zinfandel as the place for their next SF Convention ! And culture beckons, too : the Eco Park is also close to MAM, the big Modern Art Museum : Still, P. R. did not want to pass on the opportunity of seeing more of Zinfandel, so she reluctantly left the park. But as she needed some sort of an in-between place to get accustomed again to the hustle ad bustle of the Big City, she went... to some cemeteries. They're green, and they're quiet, right ? First, the big St-Augustine cemetery, devoted to the fallen of some ancient war-to end-all-wars : Then smaller ones, the St-Eleazar cemetery -- the church is lovely. And finally the St-Agatha cemetery, the smallest, but still green and peaceful, although situated near a busy road (you can spot two exemples of the city depolluting program at the intersections). Then P. R. went back to her little hôtel, near Rotunda Park, for a good night sleep. She would need it, for she intended to visit the rest of ZInfandel touristy venues -- and there are a LOT of them.

    This is a 15x15 lot of a large Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World. The building is a model of the one in Rancho Cucamonga, California. This is my first lot and i understand it needs some work so please be kind. I hope you enjoy the lot. Thanks so much!!!! From Wikipedia: Bass Pro Shops (Outdoor World) is a privately held retailer of hunting, fishing, camping and related outdoor recreation merchandise, known for stocking a wide selection of gear. Bass Pro Shops has over 70 existing and proposed stores in the United States and Canada. The store sizes range from 20,000 square feet (1,900 m2) up to 535,000 square feet (49,700 m2). The largest flagship stores are known as Outdoor World stores. The decor of the stores includes taxidermy mounts native to the local area. All stores have an indoor water feature that showcases fish species that are indigenous to the area. The fish in their tanks are game fish of great size. In some of these aquariums, professional anglers and store pro-staff hold demonstrations showing the use of an artificial bait. They catch the fish in these tanks to show how well the bait works.     This is the TOTO Mall, made to fill in the for the lack of Japanese-style malls. I will be making more malls and stores and offices in future. TOTO is a company that sell toilet, the reason that their name is the main one on the big sign of the mall is that they were able to buy that spot, and kind of were able to "rename" the Mall.     Welcome Back! And so it begins... 'Tis the season for crowded stores, lack of parking spaces and crazy drivers... or so they say. Meet Holt's newest mall. Built in what's essentially (was?) the middle of nowhere. Won't be in the middle of nowhere long. Lots of construction around the mall, with lots more planned. This mall contains 8 different department stores that are common in United States malls, such JcPenney, Dillard's, Macy's, Sears, Forever21, H&M, Cinemark and more. It also features some inside details at night, food court and main entrance. Due the nature of this lot, I have divided this into 4 different pieces that must be plopped in a correct position.
