This mod removes the brown boxes that appear on RRetail's Meadowbrook Plaza, even if you downloaded all its dependencies. The brown boxes are caused by a missing model that doesn't seem to be available anywhere. It looks like @RRetail has forgotten to add it to the mega prop packs. All you have to do is replace the .SC4Lot files in the <original folder>/RR Meadowbrook Square/ folder with the .SC4Lot files in from this mod. Alternatively you could just paste the .SC4Lot files in your plugins folder and make sure they load after RR Meadowbrook Square - for example by putting them in a zz_ folder. Due to space constraints in some cities around here in America, as well as some places wanting to protect their own environments, spaces like gas stations and old government buildings are purposed to have multiple tenants in them. These are especially common in the greater Los Angeles area, as well as New England where there are more restrictions in terms of land usage and people are more environmentally aware. I wanted to make some combination strip mall gas stations to represent something that was missing from the game. Mahalo Plaza is a fictional shopping center with brands that you would normally see in the west coast of the United States or Hawaii. The green trim is influenced by real-life shopping centers as the architecture is a lot more vibrant in the Rainbow State. The flora is also muted to fit in with any sort of region (but usually it would feature a lot of palm trees). Anchors are Longs Drugs and Savers. Longs Drugs is an American pharmacy chain with approximately 70 drugstores throughout the state of Hawaii and formerly in the Continental US. CVS bought them out in 2008 when they had 500 stores in the west coast and has since converted to a Hawaii-only brand. Hawaii is known for their intense brand loyalty so their retailers aren't what you would normally see in the mainland US. There's also a First Hawaiian Bank with this pharmacy. The other anchor, Savers, has 300 thrift stores in the western US and Canada. They also own Value Village in the Pacific Northwest and Canada. Other brands include Kumon, an educational franchise that started in Japan, Zippy's, a diner that has 24 locations in Hawaii, and Wahoo's Fish Taco, a popular west coast fish taco chain that has it's origins in SoCal. 8x10 Landmark, plaza sign included. This shopping center is inspired by real-life shopping plazas that became fairly common across parts of the United States during the 1970s and 1980s. Before the days of Walmart being so big, Kmart and Kroger basically teamed up to create a convenient one-stop shopping plaza where one would be able to find everything they needed. This 3 lot shopping center has been named after Simtropolis member kingofsimcity and for the much appreciated SHK textures, especially ones made specifically for me. Vons is a supermarket chain owned by parent company Albertsons and is headquartered in Fullerton, CA. Before being acquired by Albertsons, it was headquartered in Arcadia, CA. I also decided to take Vons further by turning it into an anchor of a shopping plaza. The design of the buildings are inspired by one of the Vons stores in Ventura, CA. I've decided to embark upon a journey to redo a select few of my previous relots. Next up is just one of many shopping centers to come using existing buildings already made for SimCity 4. If a brand isn't available to use or is way out of scale when next to other buildings, I cannot use it as part of these shopping centers. This shopping center is ideal for small communities and meant to compliment the Food Lion Shopping Center, but will fit and work by itself. Enjoy! The lot itself is on a 7x13 space. There is also three transit-enabled street connections. A couple of prop files are also included in this download to allow for this shopping center lot to work. I've decided to embark upon a journey to redo a select few of my previous relots. Next up is just one of many shopping centers to come using existing buildings already made for SimCity 4. If a brand isn't available to use or is way out of scale when next to other buildings, I cannot use it as part of these shopping centers. Was the mega lot uploaded yesterday too big for you? Then today's shopping center is for you. I've cut the smiley sparky store to simply focus on Food Lion and its plaza, though I did add in a modern McDonald's. This shopping center is ideal for small communities, but will fit in anywhere. Enjoy! The lot takes a space of 11x11 tiles. There is also two transit-enabled street entrances. I've decided to embark upon a journey to redo a select few of my previous relots. Next up is just one of many shopping centers to come using existing buildings already made for SimCity 4. If a brand isn't available to use or is way out of scale when next to other buildings, I cannot use it as part of these shopping centers. That is only one of the reasons why I have requested new and updated stuff. I could go on, but you're not here for this so.... This shopping mall is in honor of @Ceafus 88 who has teamed up with me to make NEW retail IF possible and has been willing to put up with my nagging for new retail. (lol) While there are some technical behind the scenes issues recently, I'm very much appreciative of the fact that Ceafus is willing to make some new buildings where and of course if he can. So this plaza is for you! I know the dependency list is long, but blame it on the use of new props including awesome HD trees. Seriously blame it on the trees. The lot itself is on a 21x16 space. There is also two transit enabled road connections. A couple of prop files are also included in this download to allow for this shopping center lot to work. KOSC Presents: RetailMania - Simgoober's Super Shopping Center #1 Introduction Super Shopping Center #1 is the 2nd release from my RetailMania series and the first in a long line of classic Simgoober re-lots. This set of lots is based on Simgoober's original Super Center 2 strip mall complex and enhances the original through two principles: breaking up the original buildings into individual lots for growing as well as offering several gigantic new ploppable complexes in varying configurations. Package Overview The original strip mall complex has been made bigger, badder and massively more detailed than before. While the original came in two versions (18x6, 18x7), the lot layout was pretty straightforward and only differed in an additional row of parking space. This set kicks this up a notch and comes in three very distinct (and large) ploppable versions. Furthermore, each individual building also has a small footprint growable that is more suited for urban use. Included in the following package are a total of 6 lots: 3 CS$$ growables and ploppables. Two of the ploppables use all three buildings while the last complex is a smaller one that only utilizes two. All ploppables are transit enabled. If you desire to plop the growables, use the buildingPlop cheat and look for exemplars starting at KOSC_SG_Super (requires ExtraCheats.dll) General Stats The included growable lots will provide between 261-342 CS$$ jobs. They are available in the following configurations: 1 5x5 front, stage 2 2 7x3 front, stage 2 Ploppable lots are located in the landmarks menu and provide between 622-932 CS$$ jobs in the following flavors: 20x11, $111,000 plop cost 15x11, $100,000 plop cost 12x10, $80,000 plop cost Detailed stats and information can be found in the enclosed README. Install Instructions Drop the files in your My Documents/SimCity 4/Plugins folder. Chez Mondo, by Mattb325. In an effort to soak up the endless CS$$ demand that exists in cities (particularly in the earlier stages of development), I made Chez Mondo as a medium sized cafe/restaurant suited to suburban areas. With its focus on outdoor space, this BAT is designed to fit in with the Pine Valley Mall (http://sc4devotion.c...php?lotGET=2570) that I released a couple of years ago, but also works as a stand alone. Chez Mondo is purely fictional, however this style of architecture is particularly suited to US towns and suburbs and these types of buildings can be seen in strip malls and main thoroughfares from coast to coast. This building grows easily (without being weedy) on all densities and on all of the USA tilesets. It provides 53 CS$$ jobs. It is provided on a 2x3, 3x2 and 3x3 lot - all the lots are designed to grow on a corner.
