    Those three 2x2 plazas are not that exotic, but I wanted a less longer name then the original ! They just needed a bit of greenery, in my opinion. They can be used alone or combined.     Tariel-EBLT Fountain Circle Plaza The io_bg-EBLT’s originals are splendid by themselves, in their use of the beautiful NDEX Konietzko Fountain. I use them extensively (and I am not the only one ! You may soon find more of them relotted on the STEX). I too thought they could do with a little modern TLC. As I fell in love with their base texture I used it in many of my other plazas, so I added a little 1x1 to link them if desired. Many thanks to my technical gurus, Rsc204, Kosc and Dreadnought. I seem to have a problem with three nos.17 's B62 relots, concerning parking textures, Caldor, Bradlee's and BJ Warehouse (see pict below) ; the dep required is SHK Parking Pack, which I had (select White Overlay) and replaced with the one with both overlays (yellow and white) and SuperSHK Parking textures which is listed as obsolete as of February 2016, replaced by the SuperMegaPack, which I had too (the lots were all uploaded in March and May 2016, i.e. from after the change). I noticed that there is a SHK parking.dat in the latter. Can this cause the problem ? (I dare not take it out on my own initiative... )
  5. I have a general question that has been bugging me for the last few days, as I am checking a lot of nifty relots, especially those by RRetail and Nos 17. Sometimes only the models and descs of the bat are needed (and various other props, OK) , sometimes... more. That's where I begin to get lost, when the relotter does not indicate exactly what is needed from the original folder. The LM ? The original grow lot ? But it shouldn't be, as the relot is a new plop/lot, should it ? Still, (especially in RRetail relots), there are many instances when the relot doesn't function without the whole original folder. That makes for a lot od doubles in the LM menu, and it seems... wasteful. Can someone explain to me ?

    These various gas stations come mainly from the Service Station Mega Pack from nos17; with a few other lots thrown in as well. My goal was to shrink down the footprint of the gas stations to a small footprint so they would fit more easily in cities. I did not do all of the lots found in the pack simply because some are to retro for my liking. To plop Jiffy Lube and Ceafus' Auto Center, you will need to use the lotplop cheat. Any lots listed below in red are new in the 1.0.1 update.     KOSC Presents: Ill Tonkso's Zurich House Portsmouth Introduction This is the 11th set of lots in my ITS Office Park series. Zurich House, Portsmouth is an ancient BAT by Ill Tonkso that has been re-lotted for more modern SC4 standards. In fact, the actual building in real life is also getting a makeover. Package Overview Included in the following package are a total of 4 lots: 3 CO$$ growables and one CO$$ ploppable. Two of the lots use an individual building, while the remaining utilize a fusion of two. If you desire to plop the growables, use the buildingPlop cheat and look for exemplars starting at "KOSC ITS Zurich" (requires ExtraCheats.dll) General Stats Growable lots with 1 building provides 1414 CO$$ jobs.   9. It's quite the exciting time on simtropolis these days is it? The trixies are finally upon us, meanwhile there's plenty of new and exciting developments in the pipeline, as can be see in the show us thread(s). It's fairly common around this time of the year for some of the more regular CJ creators to put out a yearly review of their work from the previous year(s). I was hoping to do the same however at the moment I don't have the time to make a entire new entry. Instead I'm 'piggy backing' a brief review into this entry, which in any case features what I think was probably my best work. In the past two years I've published 49 entries(29 in 2015 and 20 in 2016) with well over a thousand images in total. That's a lot to go through So I've made a brief list entries which I think stand out the most in those two years. I'd very much appreciate it if you could kindly take a look through these. It's going to be hard but I think it's important to try to differentiate what content was produced in what year so with an eye towards that I've separated the lists into two for each year. 2015 The year I stated this CJ. As such my work back then wasn't as refined in comparison to recent work and it was not definitely not on par with the front runners for best CJ of the year 2015, which imo would be Kim Sunwoo's "Leningrad," Tonraq's "Okaiken", Mymyjp's "New Manshin" & Ln X's "My SC4 Scrapbook". But there are some things that I think this journal would still be notable for in that year, specifically in regards to; roadgeek & railway work, overall transportation planning, industry, attention to detail, being informative, city and regional functionality, and showing large mosaics. All of which was probably best seen in the following two entries. Not quite as intimidating as the 5 points but still quite massive in it's own right, the first appearance of; And the megaplant, which a bit of a historical perspective to boot; And another important road/rail entry was this one; For a little total Overkill on the info/details/presentation there's these three entries Those would be the best 6 out of 29 entries in 2015. I wasn't quite there yet with mmp's & CBD's (hey it rhymes!) and I'd think you'd probably agree. If you want to see for yourself, the best examples are; mmp - Gravenhust CBD - Cisco Bay, Dresden. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2016 In brief, this was a good year for the CJ Of course it was also a very good year for a few others as well such as Kover's "True Earth" & Ln X's "My SC4 CJ Scrapbook". Once again the journal was heavy on transportation, industry, details and functionality with a new added focus on suburban & landscaped environments. Best of Industry(this entry) and; Best of Transportation; Railways, Mosaics and a the Road map; Best of Suburbs; Including this entry that highlights 8 of the 20 entries of the year, so I'll stop right here. I also showed you guys some detailed mmp work in entires 41 & 42 but there's others who showcased way more of that genre than I did, quality and quantity count. Lastly there is an ongoing large scale project that I've been working on for the last couple of years which I first introduced here; A BIG thanks again to all of you for stopping by and supporting the journal over the last two years.     KOSC presents: Folegate Leasings Introduction This is the 10th set of lots in my ITS Office Park series. Folegate Leasings is a set of ugly little fictional headquarters brought slightly back to life. Urghhhhh. Absolutely perfect for your generic, boring suburban business park. Package Overview Folegate Leasings comes with several different growable configurations and orientations. Like Holbourne House, this set comes with a centerpiece ploppable - a massive 11x9 monstrosity with 3 buildings. Similarly, all growable lots also boast parking lots with multiple entrances and were designed for expansion in mind. These were made to be combined with my SP Modular Parking Set. Included in the following package are a total of 10 lots: 8 CO$$ growables, 1 CO$$ growable and one CO$$ ploppable. These range from small, urban-friendly combinations to fairly large complexes. There are two different packages, the standard version and a LITE version. The LITE version is an adaptation that removes a lot of the perimeter CP seasonal trees and emphasizes open space and user preference.     KOSC presents: Holbourne Offices Introduction This is the 9th set of lots in my ITS Office Park series. Holbourne House is another rather generic mid-rise from Ill Tonkso's City Set that fits well in an urban setting as well as part of a suburban office complex. While I have lotted this one before as part of my very first complex release, I felt that the individual buildings were worthy contenders as standalones. Package Overview Holbourne Offices comes with several different growable configurations and orientations. The centerpiece ploppable in the set is a large 10x10 semi-symmetrical complex with a couple of parking extender lots. Addtionally, all growable lots also boast parking lots with multiple entrances and were designed for expansion in mind. Like many office complexes in the suburban US, parking lots can sprawl several blocks and in all sorts of shapes and sizes and thus these growables were meant to play well with the SP Modular Parking Set. Included in the following package are a total of 9 lots: 6 CO$$ growables, one CO$$$ ploppable and two parking lots disguised as parks. There are two different packages, the standard version and a LITE version. The LITE version is an adaptation that removes a lot of the perimeter CP seasonal trees and emphasizes open space and user preference. These were specifically made to cater to users that prefer their own choice of MMP trees and plants.     KOSC presents: CAMden Heights Offices Introduction This is the eighth set of lots in my ITS Office Park series. CAMden Heights is a nice mid-rise, nondescript office tower that serves its purpose as the centerpiece in suburban office parks. Or an eyesore among an entire district of generic buildings... yeah, might as well be. Package Overview CAMden Heights Offices is a small collection of growables and a ploppable of Ill Tonkso’s Camden Heights Tower. There are two smaller lots are occupied by one tower each, both which boast relatively tame scenery. The centerpiece is the massive 10x10 complex featuring twin towers with an ample parking lot with garage, lush greenery, and a beautiful front plaza. Included in the following package are a total of 3 lots: two CO$$ growables and one CO$$ ploppable. The ploppable one can be found in the landmarks menu near the top. East Point Offices focuses on my original goal for the series, which was a collection of small to large size lots to create dozens of different office park configurations.     KOSC presents: Lakeside Place Introduction This is the fifth set of lots in my ITS Office Park series. Unlike my previous releases, this one is in its purest form, a relot of the original 1000 Lakeside. I found the original rather underwhelming in terms of both detail and size and decided to take that up to ten. Additionally, with the hype of Cities: Skylines in recent times, I decided to build this lot in 3 different environments to coincide with the 3 distinct biomes in Skylines (boreal, temperate, and tropical). Package Overview Lakeside Place (1000 Lakeside) is a massive, high-end office building that was built for satisfying never ending commerical demand. The complex boasts massive parking spaces as well as a large, tree-lined walkway facing the entrance of the building. Lakeside Place is perfect as the centerpiece for your business parks. Included in the following package are a total of 3 ploppable versions. There are no growables this time around due to the sheer size of the lot.     KOSC presents: Trafalgar Complexes Introduction This is the fourth set of lots in my ITS Office Park series. I was originally going to release this around 2 months ago, but the beast that was Skylines took me out of my SC4 mood . In a slight departure from previous releases of the series, this lot is multi-purposed for not only offices, but also residential and services. Originally there were supposed to be more lot variants, but due to the nature of the building and the age of it, I decided not to proceed forward. Therefore, this is in a sense, a TIOLI (take it or leave it) lot. Package Overview Trafalgar Complexes is a reinmagination of Ill Tonkso's original Trafalgar Hall BAT, which was a small, standalone midrise. There are two distinct variants, but all of them share the same layout. The office version is marked by the concrete pavement, while the hotel and condominium versions have dark asphalt pavement with brickwork in the main driveway. Included in the following package are a total of 3 growables versions (1 for CO, CS and R). There are no ploppable versions this time around. However, you can use the BuildingPlop cheat from Extra Cheats to plop them if you wish (all the lot exemplars are prefixed with KOSC ITS _buildingname_ ). As always, a custom prop exemplar for the building is included in order to simulate multi-building lots. I've mostly been posting my lot updates in the "Show Us What You're Working On" thread but I figured I should probably lighten the spam over there and create my own thread . Since I've been posting so much stuff recently it's probably a good idea that I start consolidating all of them into one topic. PROJECTS Welcome to Suburban Office Mania! The core concept of these re-lots focuses on recreating the large sprawling business parks and office complexes that are scattered around suburban North America. Most of these complexes boasts several similar-looking buildings and can occupy several city blocks worth of space, mostly from parking alone. Major influences include several tech centers located around the US, including locations part of Silicon Valley, Irvine, and Denver Tech Center.     KOSC presents: Tonkso Corporate Park, Trowbridge Offices Introduction This is the third set of lots in my ITS Office Park series. Tonsko Corporate Park is the suburban counterpart to my previous urban release, the Ill Tonkso Plaza. Like it, this release consists of multiple buildings on one lot, to achieve a cohesive, monotonous design often found in very large office campuses. It just so happens that nearly every one of Ill Tonkso's old midrise fit this mold almost perfectly. Package Overview Trowbridge Offices is a standalone office complex featuring 3 of Ill Tonkso's Trowbridge Houses. This lot features a central pool with tree shaded walkways in-between the buildings. The highlight is the 2-phase Tonkso Corporate Park, featuring large, spacious parking lots dotted with seasonal trees as well as large open lawn spaces.     KOSC presents: ITS Office Parks - CIS Center Introduction Let's go bigger! CIS Center is a MEGAlot combining two individual Ill Tonkso releases: CIS Tower Manchester and CIS Tower 2 Manchester. Like their namesake, the two buildings have a similar design and theme which is why I thought they would look great as one massive plaza. Package Overview CIS Center is an urban centric office park/plaza with a major tower and two smaller towers. The focal point is the marble-paved plaza facing the main tower directly, with tree lined pathways as well as several fountains. Tucked away to the sides are narrower pathways shaded by massive deciduous trees as well as the looming offices above. Finally, lost in the back is a small service parking lot. Most workers choose instead to park in large garages across the street instead. This package contains a growable and a ploppable (it "grows" too!). Both lots share the same stats. Do note that these lots are of considerable size and capacity, so you'll need to make sure to have adequate demand/power/water and to a lesser extent, police coverage. Today I'm introducing Ill Tonkso Plaza, a massive multi-MEGAlot complex as a tribute to one of my favorite BATers and his kit of incredible midrise buildings, a category in SC4 that was fairly neglected back then. Like with my Maxis sets, the office parks consists of multiple like/unlike buildings on one lot with a cohesive theme/design. However, I've decided to break free from the Maxis mold since the default textures just absolutely do NOT do justice to these buildings. Package Overview Ill Tonkso Plaza is a large office complex suited for both upscale suburban office parks and well as serving as a stopgap between downtown and the 'burbs. The complex consists of lots in 3 'phases': when zoned/plopped in a special layout, the three lots will merge together seamlessly. This package contains 6 total lots: 3 growables and 3 ploppables (with an alternate texture scheme). R$, CS$$) that require additional props appearing as buildings in the game. Description Radical Maxis Re-Lots is an attempt to modify all Maxis lots, growable and ploppable, to appear more realistic and more detailed. Features including alleyways for most lots, accessible parking, and Uniform Street Light Mod-compatible lightpole layout. Installation If installing from the ZIP archive, download, unzip and install directly under your C:\My Documents\SimCity 4\Plugins folder. In Radical Maxis Re-Lots folder, there are sub-folders indicating the type of lots in the folder (example: CO$$, R$, PZ). You can control which type of lots will appear in the game by removing the sub-folders that you do not want out of Plugins folder. To uninstall, just remove the Radical Maxis Re-Lots sub-folder from your Plugins folder. Notes Only in new cities I have changed the size for some of the lots, sometimes covering a full range of a growth stage, for example: Scoot and Pump, all high-rise apartments in R$. No lot blockers please (eg: Maxis blockers) These are re-lots, as such, they will not work well with any blockers. Graphical glitch WILL happen if installing in previously saved cities if you do not have required dependencies This mod can be added and removed anytime These mods do not interfere with SimCity 4's system. There is a solution to immortal lot bug If a growable lot overlaps something after installing this mod in a previously saved city, bulldoze the lot. If you have bulldozed the growable lot but the lot itself stays, dezone and rezone using a different zone (example: if the affected lot is residential, rezone using commercial, any density).
