Park Street Square is a small strip mall located in Tigard, Oregon. It contains 2 buildings with 6 shops connected by a cute little late-80s facade. I feel like 80s architecture is under-represented in city builders, so I made this to try to flesh out some everyday postmodernism from that period. This is a ploppable C$ lot. You'll have to plop it, as it doesn't grow in the world. DEPENDENCIES: BSC MEGA Props SG Vol 01 Please enjoy! -

Suomi Hall is the meeting place of the Finnish Brotherhood of Astoria, Oregon. Long engaged in the local fishing and canning industries, the Finnish population of Astoria is widely regarded as one of the most influential and proud nationalities in the city, at one point boasting the largest number of Finns west of the Mississippi River. The Uniontown neighborhood is historically the center of Finnish cultural life in Astoria, and where radical socialist newspapers were published in the early part of the 20th century. The hall itself was built in 1886 by the Finnish Temperance League as a social hall for Finns. In 1910, the entire building was moved to the waterfront of Uniontown, where it currently resides. In 1947, the building underwent renovations, the roof parapet being added at that time, as well as the iconic neon sign. The building has underwent a wild series of facade and structural changes, growing to over twice the size of its original footprint. What you can see from the outside is almost completely its post-1947 design, with the exception of the gabled section of the roof, dating back to its original 1886 layout! This lot is a 3x2 eyecandy landmark, and I think it fits due to its historical value, however feel free to turn this into a commercial lot if you want. DEPENDENCIES: BSC Texture Pack Cycledogg I had a lot of fun making this, so enjoy! -

I love the assets here, but there's a lot of brown boxes and dead links. I could be doing something wrong, so I'll keep trying to get it to work. These are the links that are dead for me and they aren't archived on the wayback machine: JAP041 - PGX-HAS Lava Kinkaku http://hide-inoki.com/bbs/archives/files/0431.zip JAP049 - PGX-HAS Lava Izumo http://hide-inoki.com/bbs/archives/files/1218.zip So these links tripped either my adblocker, or chromes pop-up blocker somehow. If you have any plugins like that, try downloading in incognito mode. This is a great collection, keep up the good work!

This is a karate dojo in Mexicali, BC, Mexico, and home to Team Kofuja. It's distinctive marquee makes it a landmark, and one of the first places you'll see when you cross the border, being only 400 meters south. This 1x3 lot is full-width and would go well between 1 or 2 other buildings. The zip file contains both a CS$ growable version, as well as an eyecandy landmark one. This lot has no dependencies. Enjoy! -

Astro Gardens Apartments is a ploppable landmark lot The building is an apartment block with a 50s "Googie"-style flare. The architecture is reminiscent of what you could find in mid-century Miami Beach or Palm Springs. This doesn't have any dependencies! If anyone explicitly wants it, I could make a growable/res version, but personally I like ploppables. Enjoy! -

Guild House is a residential building in Philadelphia which is an important and influential work of 20th-century architecture and was the first major work by Robert Venturi. Along with the Vanna Venturi House it is considered to be one of the earliest expressions of Postmodern architecture, and helped establish Venturi as one of the leading architects of the 20th century. The building, which houses apartments for low-income senior citizens, was commissioned by a local Quaker organization, Friends Rehabilitation Program, Inc. and completed in 1963. Employing a combination of nondescript commercial architecture and ironic historical references, Guild House represented a conscious rejection of Modernist ideals and was widely cited in the subsequent development of the Postmodern movement. This lot is a ploppable clinic located in the medical tab. DEPENDENCIES: BSC MEGA Props SG Vol 01 -
Props partially obscured by building image in LE
Jessicorn23 posted a topic in SC4 BAT & Lot Workshop
After a few hours of frustration, I thought I would go on here to see if anyone can help me. In the lot editor, I'd like to get tree/other props to hug the wall, but if I get the trees too close, they dip below the rendered building image and end up looking very glitchy Now the custom walkways I get, I understand that I might have to get rid of those and replace them with overlay textures, but as for the props too close to the wall, I don't really see a way around it, and I'm worried that without a solution, I'll have to scrap this lot because I've sunk too much time into it to completely remake it. Another thing I should mention is that I've tried this in the vanilla LE, and the PIMx LE. I don't know all the keyboard shortcuts for PIMx, but I didn't see anything like changing a props "layer" or something like that. EDIT: Upon research, this may have something to do with LODs? I haven't really messed with them, am I on the right track?- 1 Reply
