Here are 4 re-lots of WannGLondon's fantastic LA houses - here they use a prop family for diversity. Obviously you'll need the original houses as the only dependency. 4 landmark lots with neutralized stats for ease of use. They give a really good LA vibe - especially on FA segments! Enjoy them! Thanks Wann!- 2 Reviews

Astro Gardens Apartments is a ploppable landmark lot The building is an apartment block with a 50s "Googie"-style flare. The architecture is reminiscent of what you could find in mid-century Miami Beach or Palm Springs. This doesn't have any dependencies! If anyone explicitly wants it, I could make a growable/res version, but personally I like ploppables. Enjoy! -

A small tropical fruit market built in the 1950s. I don't know much about this building except that it used to exist in Miami Beach, FL. I can't find it on Google Maps, but if anyone knows where it is, let me know. EDIT: Thanks very much to spiritualfire for finding the building! This building is based on the lovely illustration by Eizin Suzuki pictured below: -
Apparently, there is a solution to San Francisco's housing crisis besides upzoning historic neighborhoods. I just learned that most shipping has moved to the east bay, leaving San Francisco's industrial ports (its entire southeast area) underutilized. If these ports are not completely eliminated, then they can at least be concentrated in Hunter's Point, leaving everywhere north of there ripe for redevelopment just like Miami Beach's new luxury highrise residential district.

There is a small glitch that occurred during the render at the front ramp. I didn't manage to get rid of it. It's small though so I'm uploading it anyways The .zip file contains a landmark lot with no jobs and a ploppable lot with Cs$$ 9600 jobs in your landmarks menu. Unfortunately there is no night lighting like all my other uploads If you are missing any dependencies just notify me. Enjoy!- 13 Comments

Hi guys, Based on a recent thread, and after more than 10 years playing, and being a member from 2006, I want to share my knowledge of the game. I dont know how to BAT, but I do try my best at supporting the NYBT team, and at the same time, receive support from them, and from members like MAGNETO, who has been of great help in creatin a mod for me. Now, I come to you guys, with one intention only, to create a tutorial on recreating a Real Life City (RLC) in simcity 4. Of course, limitations are gonna be present, but, we are here to find a way to overcome them, and finally get the results we want. The concept is simple. You fill the poll above, and based on the answers we get, we will start this project. After you completed the poll, post the city you voted, and what part of it you want to start with. This is a long term project, thats why you gotta tell me what part comes first, and of course, it will be open to the rest who want to participate after. Please, I encourage you to participate, and form part of this. If done correctly, we will have a thread you dont wanna miss, and will definetly get your attention!! Lets start!!

Building Suggestion: Park Central Hotel (NYC)
Silentjacob98 posted a topic in Architecture & Urban Planning
i think it would be realy neat if someone could build the Park Central Hotel. The one in New York City. The Park Central Hotel is a historic 31-story hotel on 7th Av between 55th and 56th Streets in Midtown Manhattan. Built in the late-twenties, its grand opening took place on June 12, 1927. It occupies the entire east half of the city block between 7th Av and Broadway. It is located across the street from Carnigie Hall, and is placed right between Times Square and Central Park. Info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Park_Central_Hotel Pics: https://www.google.com/search?newwindow=1&biw=1366&bih=664&tbm=isch&sa=1&q=park+central+hotel+ny&oq=park+central+hotel+ny&gs_l=img.12..0l2j0i24l8.41882.44577.0.45789.12.11.1.0.0.0.137.1151.1j10.11.0....0...1c.1.32.img..1.11.1030.a2zP5-DJStM Its a real neat building and nice hotel. Ive personaly stood there twice. And i think it would awesome if someone could re-create it for SC4. -

EN: Because of performance problems that occurred with my map Metropolitan Miami, I hereby provide a 1049x1049px section of this map: Miami Beach. The region of South Florida, where once stood the Miami metropolitan area, was razed by an ambiguous incident cleared the ground. Merely historical maps from 2012 show the once beauty of this region. Nowit's up to you fearless strategist, to make this region back to what it once was ... To confidently face the challenge, you start SimCity 4 and recreate a new region. Now end your game and copy the downloaded config.bmp in the folder of the newly created region. Start SimCity again and then select your new region (Miami Beach). Press Alt+Ctrl+Shift+R on your keyboard and select the downloaded file miamibeach.bmp. After confirming wait states, depending on the processing power for 10-20 minutes. ... The time has come: I wish you much fun and success. I thank you for downloading and I appreciate all kinds of comments. https://www.facebook.com/groups/447720148583197/ DE: Aufgrund von Performance-Problemen, welche mit meiner Map Miami Metropolitan auftraten, stelle ich hiermit einen Ausschnitt,1049x1049, dieser Map bereit: Miami Beach. EN: Awaiting SC5, I reactivated SC4 and rembered that I liked to play the Region Miami, Florida. The offers on simtropolis about this region did not satisfied me, so I created my own one. It contains most of the upstream islands and is scaled realistic. The included config.bmp provides a network of big cities with each one up to six neighbouring cities. The region is nearly flat, and few lakes are missing. The Miami Metropolitan, with 5.5 million inhabitants and the orthogonal/diagonal traffic network is a perfect submission to be played with SC4. This map was created with nokia.maps and the tools MS Paint and ACDsee. I hope you have fun with this, and I'm looking for some kind comments. Important note: detecting a fatal error in V3.2 (scale) , I am offering my V4 of this map. It is now exactly scaled, and I imported lakes of this area, also the Miami River. Pleas notice that V4 is now a big map about 2049x2049px, so you have to cut the miami.metro4.0.bmp to 1025x1025px, if your computer is not ambitioned (note the greyscale when cutting). Hard to say sorry, so I prepared some new pics, picked from the internet. Thanks for the attention. Note: attached files from internet, maybe rights reserved, doesn't matter ;-) Thanks to Shizuku:), Cefien, BIWDC, callofktulu35, StuntManMike for their comments about last versions.... -

Converted from GTA Vice City, this mod brings the VC map to SimCity 4. Included in this region are new added islands, (with the rest of map being slightly different from the original one.) I worked really hard on it, trying to make it look exactly as original, but with new islands. You can either make as many cities as you want in the map or, recreate the whole original city. The region has really big city squares. Islands: The islands included in this region are: Hawaii, (near the 3 islands mentioned just below it, and just in the middle of Vice City) Oahu, Tampa, Crescent, Starfish Island, Ocean View (East Vice City) Donnel Island (West Vice City) Pete and Dete Islands (South Vice City) Portland (Near the Corner of East Vice City) HOW TO INSTALL: First, make a Vice City folder into you C:\Users\(username)\Documents\SimCity 4\Regions folder. If you have Windows XP, then follow this path: (C:\Documents and Settings\(username)\My Documents\SimCity 4\Regions). Then extract all files in this archive into the folder, then launch SimCity 4. In-game press ALT+CTRL+SHIFT+R and it should show a box. Depending on your version of Windows (etc. XP or 7), select the paths that were mentioned above, then go to the Vice City folder, and you should see "terrain.jpg" file. Click OK, and it should be busy generating the map. Note that generating may take some time, maybe a long time. It usually takes about 20-35 minutes, but that does depend on your computer. Enjoy!!
