Hong Kong Bat´s on fire ! This something nobody ever wish to happen to anyone ! The big fire in Hong Kong on such Bat´s you might plop down if you ever want to recreate Hong Kong. Three days of morning announced. World so small just like that highrise in London but on a much larger scale. Same seem to be like plastica and lethal bamboe used. I´m happy the communty is responding so bright and generiousley ! Hope the people winvolved ill have the strenght to rise of this desatreus experience and rebuild their life´s more joyfuly ! At the intersection of 7th Avenue and 48th Street, this 12 story commercial building has been a part of Times Square since 1921. It houses the restaurant TSQ Brasserie and Bar and is home to many recording studios with a dance venue on the top floor. Featuring its neighbors 167 and 165 West 48th street, this BAT is complete with three total buildings and two giant billboards, making it a choice selection for your busy W2W intersections. There is an original version (much darker) and a Times Square Ambience lighting version for each of the following: - Maxis Night (SD) - Maxis Night (HD) - Dark Night (SD) - Dark Night (HD) ONLY CHOOSE ONE FILE, having more than one of these files in your plugins folder (at the same time) can cause it to not work correctly. DIY Skyscraper International Style, by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- This download contains 3 modular BAT pieces to allow the end user to build their own functional skyscraper in the lot editor. While there are plenty of modular sets for all sorts of things, to my knowledge, a modular, functional skyscraper is a unique offering in the SC4 world. The model is fictional, but representative of the ubiquitous International Style of skyscraper that dominated the world from the 1950's onwards. These sorts of buildings generally did not exceed 50 -60 floors, but some, such as Chicago's AON Center and the former WTC in New York reached between 80 - 110 stories. This is the first of a few such DIY Skyscrapers. This BAT can be assembled so as to make any sized building (in 5 story increments) of between 10 or 15 floors and, in theory, as many floors as you want. There are three pieces rendered out as props that you line up and combine and raise in either the PIM-x or lot editor (CTRL+up arrow key) to build your own skyscraper: *Mattb325_DIY_IntlStyle_Base (the Lobby and first five floors) *Mattb325_DIY_IntlStyle_Mid (the middle five floors which you repeat as often as you need) *Mattb325_DIY_IntStyle_Top (the upper five floors and roof junk area) To start you off, I have made four fully functional, ploppable lots with jobs of varying sizes: 15, 20, 40 and 50 floors. These lots are also reasonably modular and you can plop them down in clusters like the display pictures. The ploppable lots are found in the landmark menu and provide CS$$ jobs (I've used CS$$ as there is always infinite demand in game, and CO demand often ends up negative by using ploppable skyscraper lots). They therefore require road access - the busier the better, water and power. Like all of my work, these are suitable for CAM and non-CAM cities alike. --------------------------------------- Please note that as these are vertical modular pieces, you will see little seams/apparent misalignment/repeated textures at certain zooms. I've corrected it all as much as is possible: it's not super visible unless you go looking for it, but beyond the corrections I've made there's not really anything I can do about how the game stitches FSH files together for its own display purposes. And certainly, for non batters, the benefit of finally being able to make your own skyscrapers should outweigh any small visual seams at certain zooms. --------------------------------------- As this is released as a DIY set, by all means make and share your own versions of skyscrapers - you don't need to ask my permission - but ensure that you point to this file as a dependency for your creation. I. Lostalim Presents Pentatonic Offices The tallest building I have ever made, my specialty are midrises, but this one makes an exception. Not only has a musical name, but its trapezoid shape makes it unique from the other towers I have created. Doesn’t matter what direction the camera is facing, the building will always have a different look. Once again, the detail and rendering of the windows realistically depicts reflections, small differences in highlighting, and attention to surface textures. No dependencies. All lots are 5x5 ploppables in the Reward menu, available at the start, and are network and transit enabled (capacity: 100) Maxis lighting. This project is inspired by the first version of SimCity (Classic) now called 'Micropolis' developed in the 1980's and released as open source. The 7th preview is an image of a session of playing the Java version of Micropolis that is freely downloadable from github.com. In Micropolis there are only three same-sized squares for RCI zoning. I've used the reward system in SC4 to re-lot all 6 of the large commercial office buildings, 2 of the largest high-wealth residential, 1 of the largest high-tech industrial buildings, and 1 agricultural building. All the lots are the same area size like in Micropolis. The queries are the same queries used for the buildings as grown in the game. The associated reward will only be indicated in the reward menu as the item is selected and plopped. The lots contain code for both the reward and the replacement building so apparently the lots provide the benefits of the reward as well as the operation of the building. The intent of making these lots is providing access to the buildings so the reward function was not evaluated, but the queries do report capacity usage for the replaced building --no 'goofy stat' for the reward. NOTE: Residential ploppables may indicate some usage initially, but will quickly degrade to Abandoned Due to Commute Time so are not functional as Residential.
