Can I change the mayor's mansion lots to something else for use in the SimCity4 game? I have the reader program installed already and have used it before. I would like to name it like Executive Residence or similar.

Mon Repos, by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- In the 19th century, the mark of the self-made classes eager to assert their place in society was the grandeur of their home. As the home was an outward expression of the aspirations of its owners: it was therefore important to be à la mode. And in the late 19th Century, the Italianate Villa was all the rage. Home pattern-books were shipped around the globe and would-be-owners could select their house of choice and commission local builders to complete the design. Architects of the day drew inspiration from well known houses and copied different elements at will. This particular design borrows heavily from the famous 1828 villa in Corfu of the same name. This grand home is restrained and symmetrical: striking circular wings protrude from each side; dual oeil-de-boeuf windows grace a covered terrace supported with columns in the Doric order. The only departure from the original design is the central tower which was more popular with Italianate houses of the late 1800s. This BAT is offered as a Mayor's house on a stunning, classically landscaped 8x8 lot complete with Mediterranean inspired plantings, such as Bosco verde, roses and columnar cypresses. It is found in the reward menu. Placing this reward will boost surrounding desirability for business and residential, raise demand caps, provide jobs, and provide both landmark and park effects. It needs road, power and water. There are no restriction as to how often these lots can be placed and this reward will not over-write, or interfere with, any other mayor house rewards (including the in-game version). --------------------------------------- STATS: Lot size: 8x8 Plop Cost: $9,900 Bulldoze Cost: $1,800 Monthly Cost: $50 Wealth: High Park Effect: 180 over 70 tiles Landmark Effect: 130 over 54 tiles Mayor Rating: 20 over 220 tiles Pollution at Centre: 1 (air) /1 (water) /6 (garbage) Pollution Radius: 2/3/0 Demand Created: R$ 3, R$$ 25, R$$$ 3 Power Consumed: 25 Mwh Water Consumed: 60 Gallons Occupant Groups: Reward; Mayors House --------------------------------------- DEPENDENCIES: To ensure proper functionality, make sure the following files are in your plugins folder: *BSC MEGA Props - CP Vol01.dat (https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=1180) *BSC Mega Props - CP Vol02.dat (https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=2790) *BSC MEGA Props - SG Vol01.dat (https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=746) *BSC Texture Pack - Cycledogg V01.dat (https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=101) --------------------------------------- To install, simply unzip the file into your plugins folder.- 8 Reviews

Minor League Stadium Number of Sponsors Indicator (and other reward buildings)
BlueCloud posted a topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
Hi everybody. I have a question about the indicator numbers of reward buildings. For example, the Minor League Stadium has a number indicating total number of sponsors. Obviously, more sponsors is a good thing, but how is this determined? Likewise, the Advanced Research Institute has total numbers of pi calculated. Again, obviously the larger number the better, but how is this determined in game? Similarly, the city zoo, mayor's house, cemetery (miss-placed coffins), and so on. Does anyone know or have any information they can show regarding these numbers? Thanks everyone in advance. -

Vandamm House, by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- From the 1959 Alfred Hitchcock classic, North by Northwest, comes the fictional Vandamm House. It is so called, as it is the movie villain's (Phillip Vandamm) lair on the top of Mount Rushmore. This house never existed. However, it is often mistaken for a real house of Frank Lloyd Wright design. It is neither: to begin with the top of Mt Rushmore was considered so ecologically sensitive that MGM researches required special permits to visit the location accompanied by official US Park escorts, so building anything was certainly out of the question. Additionally, Frank Lloyd Wright was never hired to design the house (he purportedly demanded 10% of the film's budget for his fee). The house, as seen in the movie, is the creation of Production Designers Robert Boyle and his team who created a Frank Lloyd Wright inspired home. The interiors (and such parts of the exterior which would be visible in film close-ups) of the house were built on the MGM lot in Culver City as full scale movie sets. The rest of the house, including the long shots of the exterior, is merely trickery by matte artist Matthew Yurichich. In that vein, the BAT I have made (having seen it as a request here on Simtropolis) is faithful to the idea of the movie set design, but it is by no means a replica. This BAT is eye-catching and can be used as a Mayor's house in many different locations in your city: on steep mountains, overlooking ravines, over-hanging the in-game water oceans or rivers. Its placement is limited only by your imagination. In the images I have shown, you can MMP right up to the model and/or use MMP trails/park/plaza/ped-mall lots to visually connect the building to the road network. For best placement, level a couple of in game tiles by placing a few street tiles around, and then plop the lot so that the cantilevered balcony section juts out over the landscape. I have made this as a 1x1 non-conditional reward lot which acts as an extra Mayor's House. It will not over-ride the in game Mayor's House nor any of the many relotted versions thereof, nor any of the new mayor house rewards, and you can place both this and the in-game Mayor's House in the same city tile if you wish. Placing this lot will increase commercial and residential desirability needed to assist city growth. To enable the lot to be placed in remote locations, the building itself does not require either road access or power, but it does require water. There is no restriction as to how often this lot can be placed. Like the in-game Mayor's House, it is found in the Rewards Menu. --------------------------------------- STATS: Plop Cost: §1,000 Bulldoze Cost: §20 Monthly Cost: §15 Wealth: High Park Effect: 90 over 46 tiles Landmark Effect: 90 over 46 tiles Pollution at Centre:1 (air) /1 (water) /4 (garbage) Pollution Radius: 2/3/0 Power Consumed: 0 Mwh Water Consumed: 80 Gallons Occupant Groups: Reward; Mayors House --------------------------------------- DEPENDENCIES: There are no dependencies for this file. The various stunning MMPs that you see in the pictures are made by Girafe, CP, PEG, Chrisadams3997, Murimk, NBVC and Heblem. For those who don't have these in their plugins, I would recommend searching on each of these creators names both here and on SC4Devotion.com. You won't be disappointed. --------------------------------------- To install, simply unzip the file into your plugins folder. Enjoy your new lair.- 3 Comments

The Lodge, by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- The Lodge is the official Canberra residence of the Australian Prime Minister (whomever that might be at any given moment in time). The building was constructed in 1927 in the Australian Georgian Revival Style, and it was actually only supposed to be a temporary structure. How ironic, given the turnover of Australian political leaders in recent years that a temporary structure has out-lived dozens of Prime-Ministers. I have made this as a 6x6 brand-new reward lot which acts as an additional Mayor's House. * It will not over-ride the in game Mayor's House * It will not over-ride any of the many relotted versions of the in-game Mayor's House * It will not over-ride any of the other batted Mayor house rewards * You can place both this and the ingame Mayor's House in the same city tile if you wish. Placing this lot will increase commercial and residential desirability needed to assist city growth. The building itself also directly provides 23 highly desirable civic jobs across all wealth levels. There is no restriction as to how often this lot can be placed. --------------------------------------- STATS: Plop Cost: §2,000 Bulldoze Cost: §1,420 Monthly Cost: §130 Wealth: High Demand Created: Jobs§ 3; Jobs§§ 19; Jobs§§§ 1 Park Effect: 250 over 53 tiles Landmark Effect 150 over 100 tiles Pollution at Centre: 1 (air) /1 (water) /6 (garbage) Pollution Radius: 3/2/2 Power Consumed: 7 Mwh Water Consumed: 20 Gallons Occupant Groups: Reward; Mayors House --------------------------------------- NOTE ABOUT DARK NITE vs MAXIS NITE: Select the appropriate file from the download. The file suffixed with 'DN' is for those users with a night-time darkening mod installed. The file suffixed with 'MN' is for users who do not have any such mods installed. If you are unsure whether you have a night-darkening mod installed, then choose the Maxis night version. If you use the dark nite version, you will need a dark nite mod. From the album Lotting Challenge (S3-03-C)
Before voting, we recommend you download and try out this item of content: [Download Here] Haven't you ever felt the original Mayor's House was kind of underwhelming? On the other hand, this beautiful house was designed by the one and only Debussyman, and now it's presented to the mayors of Simtropolis as an enhanced alternative to the original one. Feturing a mix of flower gardens and open grass, open spaces for official events and generally all of the flair of an early 1900's pompous burguoise Villa.-
