BATs with neon ads or illuminated billboards have been looked for several times in the Can't find thread, often for creating Las Vegas or Times Square like areas. But I cannot think of a good way to search for them. So let's collect links here so they are easier to find in the future. Here are some to start: Aikatalo https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/27773-aikatalo/ Brill Building https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/34740-brill-building-new-york/ 200 W. 40th Street, NY https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/33850-200-w-40th-street-ny/ Kalevantorni https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/27370-kalevantorni/ Dotonbori Glico Building https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/29869-dotonbori-glico-building/

Simtropolis Living Sign- Grand Fir Park Set Donated by Kloudkicker Industries Two versions available, download either the Seasonal Fir set or the Evergreen Fir set. Both can be used together, just not sure why one would. Kloudkicker Industries wanted to build a park to honor Simtropolis and its community. A grand idea was born years ago and work was started planting the finest trees in SimNation, Girafe's Grand Firs. The saplings where planted very precisely so they would grow up to spell out the name SIMTROPOLIS and would be seen by every aircraft flying over. Your sims can take a walk or just enjoy the outdoors, because there's plenty of parking and open space with the Park n' Play edition. Three street connections are network enabled for visual effects of vehicles going to and from the Park n' Play edition. A tree only edition gives more flexibility in ground placement tolerance, up to 60 degrees, and has a transparent ground texture to allow any ground texture mod to show up and blend in. That one does not need road access or any utilities and has neutral stats. Both editions come with individual demand cap lifters. Placement works best when plopped on flat/level ground. Park n' Play edition has 15 degrees of slope tolerance and the tree only edition has 60 degrees slope tolerance. When placing the tree only version, you can use the NAM 15m ground raiser tool to create a sloped hill 21 tiles long and about 4 tile high, for a great way to display the Simtropolis name. (using NAM 15m ground raiser tool) NOTE: Street connections will be made when plopped next to existing street/road. Or can be made dragging the street tool into the three connection points after plopping. The seasonal props will need about a year to fully appear depending on time of year placing lot. Afterwards they will always be visible. Take folder "Kloudkicker" and place it in the Documents SimCity 4 Plugins folder. Enjoy while playing. Uninstall: Bulldoze all of the lots in every city they were placed and then remove the files from your Plugins folder. Did I leave something out, oh well! Credits: Thank you Girafe and BSC team for providing the wonderful trees and textures. Thank you to all of the Simtropolis community, SC4D and Maxis of course. But a Big Thanks goes to Dirktator, the founder of Simtropolis, for starting Simtropolis in 2002. Thank you Everyone This lot was designed by me(Kloudkicker) and has been tested. Much care has been take to ensure that there are no errors, but this does not mean that errors do not exist. How can anyone ensure that when the game is not perfect itself? Use at your own risk. Feel free to use this mod for any reason. Please, just give credit when it's due. However, Do Not upload this mod to any site without my permission. KK June 14, 2021- 2 Comments

Description: This is a roadtop school zone speed limit sign pack that uses Ryan B’s sign props. The following signs are included: 15mph (street) 20mph (street) 15mph (road) 20mph (road) 15mph (one way road) 20mph (one way road) 25mph (avenue) 30mph (avenue) These signs are transit-enabled lots that can be placed directly overtop your road network. However, RCI buildings are not able to grow in front of the lot. You should ensure all buildings in front of the lot are at least 2 tiles wide, or you can place the lot next to an intersection to provide an alternate way out. I am having an issue with SimCity 2000 Special Edition where if I try to place a label (sign) on any park/recreational plop or power plant, I always get an error message that says, "You can't place a label here at this time." I Googled that error message but only unrelated results showed up in Google. I searched again with quotes and I got "No results for" "Searching without quotes" and the same unrelated results. I know that it is possible to put labels on parks and power plants because several cities that came bundled with SimCity 2000 Special Edition have labels on power plants and recreational plops. See attached screenshot of error. Does anybody know what the problem could be?

I get asked a lot what mods I use for this game, especially when it comes to highway props and add-ons. Here's a short list of some content that I use to make your highways looking nice! ------ Firstly, get the NAM if you haven't already. This list is for the RHW so make sure you check off that during install. ----- Generic signs The first thing you're going to need is some signs. Unlike the Maxis highway that has signs randomly generate on the highway, the RHW needs some work. Luckily, there's a lot of signs out there and lets you customize the crap out of this. For a simple, generic set, I recommend this set. Large, easy to read and also easy to plop. And for your roads connecting to the highways, here's a simpler set ----- Hazard signs Along with general signs, you'll want some hazard markers too to let your drivers know about curves, speed limits, ending lanes, and other things the road can throw at you. Best to give them plenty of notice! ----- Lighting I'm lazy when it comes to this. Plopping lights takes a lot of time if you want uniform street lighting. Instead, go above 'street level' with some towers that light up a much larger area! ----- Walls No matter how 'nice' your highways look, they're a NIMBY and no one wants to live near them. To minimize the folks who do have their homes close by, dampen the sound and light a bit with these walls that I find look great in both urban and suburban environments ----- Buffer Keep some right of way free if you ever want to expand your highways. Also if you have a median make it look nice! These 'empty' areas can also help absorb air pollution from the busy roads I like to use the standard open grass area a lot, but you can fill it in with some tree park plops such as... ----- Example of one of the endless possibilities of what your highway can look like: Click here for full size Anyways hope this helps out anyone looking to improve the aesthetic appeal of their highways! Add some other features to make it your own unique creation! Anything to add? Please post suggestions below!

This lot is a dual purpose. First its a sign tell sims to rid the bus and use mass transit. Second its a power plant providing 6000k in power. The screen shots and files r in the zip foled...just unzip to the SimCity 4 plugin folder...and have fun...will upload the regular park versions later. PowerMassTransBillBoard .zip- 4 Comments

Please follow this page for future updates! New files in this collection will be added to this page periodically. The American Roadsign collection - popular on the Steam Workshop - has now been added to Simtropolis! This collection includes gantry signs, barriers, delineators, and all sorts of other goodies. It's always expanding, so keep up to date by following this file or the Steam Workshop collection! Currently, the collection includes over twenty assets. Here's a taste of what you can expect: These gantry signs are great for any sort of avenue or highway. They're generic enough for most situations, and just the right size for most road types. While we've got plenty of aptly named BGS's - big green signs - there are also some smaller exit signs available for download! It doesn't stop there - delineators, barriers, and markers are essentials too! For this and more, make sure to hit the download button here or on the Steam Workshop! Don't forget to subscribe to this page either - that way you'll know exactly when new content has been uploaded! -
Highway Sign Maker - For Cities Skylines?
Need4Camaro posted a topic in Cities: Skylines Modding - Open Discussion
I have 0 modding experience with Cities Skylines. I can 3D Model fairly decently but I am not a programmer. Anyway onto my questions. I wanted to eventually make a mod that literally allows users to "plop" custom Highway Signs instead of having to 3D Model them or custom make them for each interchange. It could be completely modular or it could work with the currently existing "Street Name" mod. So lets say for example that you have a stretch of highway and it has an interchange. The mod would do the following things for each interchange: Remove the existing Cities Skylines Highway Sign Prop By default, place a modern / realistic gantry or sign post near the exit ramp. Upon its initial appearance the post will be incomplete and will not have a sign attached to it. The user will select the post and will be brought to an interface to assign the sign's data and other specifications. User will select the type of post. Whether it be an overhead gantry that spans across the entire carriageway, or a post on the side of the road. The street name, route number, herald, exit number, direction, control name can all be set for the sign in this interface If a user has the street name mod, the sign can be set to automatically detect the name of the street at the end of the ramp to pretty much automatically generate a sign. Multiple sign boards on one gantry would be possible. (For example a sign over the main carriage confirming the router number / direction advising that you're traveling in, and another board to the right (or left UK) advising the information for the current exit) Provide the ability to generate approach signs. By default their distances would be set to 1/2 mile and 1 mile (like real life) but they can be altered aswell. Approach signs would also be modifiable to include other information If two approach signs are within 1/4th of a mile of each other, they will automatically be merged to avoid cluttering. The Mechanics: The interface will use pre-fabbed sign boards (so the game will not have to create shapes / 3D models in-game) and will use the data the user enters to determine which sign board is most appropriate according to size. In essence, everything will be built to fit in the smallest board possible, but if a larger board is needed, it will use a larger board. Approach signs will automatically merge if they're too close to each other, however; it will be possible to customize approach signs or de-merge them if necessary. Approach signs will also merge onto the control sign at a previous exit if its within 1/4th of a mile of the previous exit. Signs will avoid spawning under overpasses, but they CAN spawn on bridges. Users can import their own Heralds and define in the game how the route numbers will be placed on those Heralds The mod would be made to support multiple Heralds. The mod would be made to support automatic exit numbering, with an offset number aswell for interstates leading into your city (I.E. the first exit for your city is Exit 50 instead of Exit 1) Can be controlled by mile OR by actual exit. 2 Lane Highways will Generate a Rural Post (on the side) by default. 3 and 4 Lane Highways will Generate an overhead Gantry by default. Basically the idea is to provide a way to generate highway signs for those who don't want to 3D model a sign for every exit they have. Once again this is all still theory. Nothing is in the works yet. This thread is asking if my idea is even possible, and if it is..where would I begin?- 33 Replies

This maybe a long shot but i have no idea on making mods so i was wondering if someone could be kind enough to make me a simple mod? The mod i would like is a sign saying Welcome To Finport as im building a seaside town. Thanks.

I've downloaded some content and installed it to SC2013. however after installing any custom content, lets say I plop down a clinic. If I go to put a sign out, the sign is plopped but there is no writing visable. Before I started adding custom content signs weren't blank like that, that's what all signs look like now. Any ideas?

About the original landmark: The Hollywood Sign (formerly the Hollywoodland Sign) is a landmark and American cultural icon located in Los Angeles, California. It is situated on Mount Lee in the Hollywood Hills area of the Santa Monica Mountains. The sign overlooks Hollywood, Los Angeles. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia About this file: Hollywood Sign Letters.rar contains asset files consisting of 26 letters(A-Z) created with Hollywood Hills Font. Each letter is a park with zero stats which only costs 250 to plop and 50 to maintain. They can be plopped anywhere and do not require to be next to a road. It's hard to find the letters from the parks menu so I recommend you to plop all the letters you want in advance then use "replace" (Fixed on v0.1.2) Installation: Simply Unrar the contents to To Do List • ☐ add details to support thingy • ☐ add texture • ☐ resize each support thingy to match each letters width • ☐ add icons to each letter(in-game menu) • ☐ add numbers • ☑ Prioritize assets in the menu to list the letters from A to Z • ☑ Fix "F" • ☐ add LOD models so letters won't be distorted when viewed from far away • ... • please add any of your requests in reviews -

Hey guys This mod allows you to plop three signs for each amusement park and allows you to plop any of the three's amusement park signs for any of the amusement parks. So for example, you can now plop a Thrilland sign in a Funshine park. This allows for better customization of your amusement parks . Is a video necessary? Let me know . How to install: 1. Unzip the file. 2. Install into your SimCityData folder. Special thanks to: Johnathan_Tycoon: For assisting me with the mod . NOTE: If you have any problems regarding the mod, please PM me . I don't usually read the reviews. Enjoy! More mods are coming! -

Hello everybody, I need a little help. I decided to start to build an airport map but I want to add some highway signs on my airport map. The problem is I cannot find on stock exchange what I want. I also cannot find photos of what I want on google. If you go to an airport, you see highway signs which tells you which way goes to terminal 1 2 3 or parking or exiting from airport. I am searching road signs like that. But LOTS OF UNITED STATES INTERSTATES ROAD SIGNS compatible with MHW (Maxis Highway) . Here are some real life photos which try to tell you what I want. , Yes I know my English is bad and I am sorry.

"If these signs aren't big enough for ya, you'll never will be satisfied!" This pack contains a Frickin' Huge Signage Set, a quick 'n dirty signage pack I made. The set contains 17 deliberately overscaled signs for your freeway for the most common RHW interchange setups. FILES This pack contains the following files. - FrickinHuge Signage Set.dat This file contains all stuff for this pack. - FrickinHuge_Signage_Submenu.dat This file contains the submenu support - Readme.txt The readme of this pack - Cleanitol_FrickinHuge_Signage_Set.txt This file allows you to remove previous versions of the file. INSTALLATION - Extract the ZIP-file. - Copy "MandelSoft" folder into your plugin folder to install. UNINSTALLATION To uninstall the pack, remove the files from your Plugins folder. It is highly recommended to run the cleanitol with the installer and remove any previous versions from your plugins. DLL DEPENDENCIES: In order for the contents of this package to display correctly by taking advantage of the new DLL Mods requires the complete installation of the following dependencies (the below listed dependencies are covering a full install): Submenus DLL - You need it to get the package submenu working. Compatible only with the digital version (1.1.641) of SimCity 4 (Microsoft Windows and Linux only). DEPENDENCIES This pack has no dependencies. Enjoy! Maarten/MandelSoft NOTE: don't take this signage pack too serious. I made it just for the fun and for people who love over-scaling- 29 Comments
