Belmont is a 1950's fictional city set on the Pacific Northwest. I made the map, also i use PO, and a lot of assets, some from workshop, some made by me, some edited for cities by me, some from patreon.

Mister_Vintage replied to Cyclone Boom's topic in Simtropolis Related
I am not that good with words in these type of situations... I remember when moose passed away... Terrible, terrible moment, and now when I returned to Simtropolis after what feels like a lifetime....I see the news about Cori...I am so glad that she's recovering, And remember tough times don't last, tough people do, so stay strong, good things will come. All my best wishes to you.- 184 Replies

This is the map of Cathlamet area, made using a terrain height file. MANDATORY DLC: Natural Disasters - i use the buoys Mass Transit - i use the national roads Industries - i use a bridge This map's infrastructure is not for a massive 1 million people build. It's a map for a detailer, i use only 2 national roads and one rail line. To keep it realistic there is only one airplane path positioned in a way in which you can build your airport in the flat areas without the path going close or crossing the taxiway or runway so you won't get the usual bugs like circling planes , etc. Again, to keep it realistic there is only one ship path with a branch towards the starting square. And yes maritime ships do enter rivers. There are portions of large rivers where they meet the sea/ocean that are wide enough and deep enough to allow maritime ships to navigate, those are called: maritime sector of a river. ROAD NETWORK: it has 2 national roads, one vanilla rural road with covered bridge and it uses the 1+1 road bridge from industries. The roads in the start square are all vanilla. NAF Small National Roads: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2279507855 And the NAF Dependencies: Railway Barriers (American): https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=2214471559 NAF Street and Traffic Lights: https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=2268192312 There is only one custom bridge: McCullough Memorial Bridge - https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1786679341 Also needed: Bridge Fender - https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1785841791 Sandy Grey Detail Rocks - https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=1988121829 There's one rail line with a branch towards the start square. The rail has wide curves because it is designed to be used with the custom extra long trains from the workshop and to avoid train clutter. NAR: Generic Train Tracks: https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=2126396428 NAR required props and mods: NAR: Required Parts & Props: https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=2126312813 Network Tiling: https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=1274199764 RESOURCES: i used only some ore and oil for detailing purposes so i don't know how much it will help if you play "vanilla style" There are no trees: i have a bug in the forest brush , for now it seems it fixed itself, but as the bug prevented the game from packaging i've decided not to include trees so it won't make this a broken map. Ultimate Eyecandy and Relight settings are shown in the screenshots. @nightbird615615 as i am making those for my 1950s theme i won't go above 1959, as what i'll make next, even I don't know as every billboard image is a scan after an original from my personal collection, so it depends on what i find and buy. but for sure there will be at least one Marlboro billboard.
