  1. In the pic that I loaded, I am missing props along the street that should be a light post stop signs. I am using Paeng Texture Mod and CP_SCLIT_PaengSandstoneSidewalks. If I remove these two plugins it doesn't change the view, I still have these props missing. I am also using NAM 36. If I remove all of the plugins the problem goes away. Hope someone has an easy fix and any help would be appreciated.
  2. I recently downloaded the 2007 version of LBT house pack complete with lots, unfortunately for me there were a lot of missing dependencies and textures unlisted in the LEX link. I already have the LBT mega prop pack and LBT mega textures pack (supposedly all textures and props from LBT Textures 1,2,3,etc and LBT Props 1,2,3,etc) in my plugins folder and also the LBT housepack V1 props. I'm still not sure what dependency I'm missing here but the least I know is that some base textures are definitely missing as well as many building textures.
  3. Exact name of a dep

    Trying to establish a list of deps for upcoming uploads, and I am confused. Is BSC Holiday Park Prop and BSC Holiday Park SG Vol 01.dat the same thing ? I found the first one's URL, but no luck with the other one, and all the searches direct me to the first one. But. Help ?

    Looks like we've got us a convoy... Hello. This prop pack was made with the purpose to add a wide variety of trucks and trailers to the ones that already exist. In this pack you will find the following trucks and trailers: Kenworth T800, T800 Aerocab, W900 Freightliner FLB 53 ft dryvans 40 ft & 53 ft container chassis Dump trailers Tankers Flatbeds & loads, Lowboys and much more. You can use them in your industrial zones, truck stops, warehouses, etc. You will find 110 diferent models each one HD-rendered at 11.25°, 22.5°, 33.75°, 45° and 90° with their respective left versions. Also I included prop families for the 22.5° 22.5° left, 45° and 90° versions. Installation: Just extract the files contained in this .rar file into your plugins folder. For uninstalling it, just delet them from your plugins folder. Dependencies: None, this is intended to be a depencency. Enjoy it. Thanks to everyone who helped me in its development.     Hello everyone, I am looking for 3 items from Tabi. Here are the items, Tabi Hangar Props & Tabi Military Helicopter & Tabi SNCG Aircraft V2. Hope someone can help me find these items or send me in the correct direction to them.
  7. I've been experimenting with adding props to roads( 2 lane and 4 lane) in the Asset Editor. Adding decals to the x64 limit. I've gone through all the efforts to save them, give them names, place them under "Temperate". When I load up the city I can locate the roads I created. Problem is, when I try to put them on the map, what shows up are the base models, none of my graphic modifications in the form of added props show up! I must be doing something wrong here or maybe this just isn't possible. Any ideas?
  8. Here's the situation. I'm trying to add traffic stains to my roads(as can be seen in the pics). The only way I know how to do this is by superimposing props, problem is that I hit the prop limit, no more! That is unacceptable. I'm wondering if there is some way to colorize, in other words stain the given game roads and use them as upgrades on existing roads without using props. After all, all we talking about is changing the existing color pixelization on the asset with no additional program elements. Is there some way of doing this? And I hope outside of using the Asset Editor which always crashes for some reason.
  9. Hi everyone, I'm trying to create my first parks with the Lot Editor, just to learn how to use it. Everything ok but, when I place those parks in game, some props are either missing, or they are all there when I place the first park then, after a while that I'm playing and I place other instances of the same park, some props I've created don't show up (but they are all still there in the park I placed at the beginning). I'd like to understand why this happens: I am quite frustrated with it, also because I can't find any explanations out there. 😦 Thank you if you can answer this rather tricky question and excuse me for my English (I am Italian, and this is the first time I write here!).

  11. Hello there... I'm new to the world of Cities: Skylines. My brother told me about it on Christmas... I bought it the next day and now I'm making "stuff"! I'm going back to school for Mechanical Design (after 15 years as a footwear designer, drawing everything "by hand"), learning Solidworks, Creo and AutoCAD in school, and teaching myself 3D Max and Blender. This is a great outlet to practice everything with a purpose, rather than randomly building things. I'm really into 1950s & 60s kitschy Mid-Century Americana. So thats pretty much the style all my assets will be... bright colors and funky shapes... the cheesier the better! I'm going to use this post to share my creations. I'm still figuring out some of the back end info for creating assets... but eventually I'll start posting to the Steam Workshop. First up... a couple props! I love big, obnoxious signs! Expect a lot of those... Lol!
  12. Can you place props (like light and benches and whatever) in the Asset Editor precisely (be it grid snapping, display of coordinates or whatever)? For now the best I could do - is to check the coordinate values of props while placing them using Mod Tools, without being able to input them numerically. In Mod Tools there are a bunch of interesting properties found on... Tool Controller - PrefabInfo - BuildingInfo+Prop But I dunno if you can make changes made there affect the result? For now I just place Props and set colors as precisely as I can do it unprecisely (: Best regards.
  13. Seeing how obsessed I am with lighting everything and the kitchen sink, a friend asked me if I could light Jenx QuaisdeSeine. I gamely tried. And found out it is way beyond my pay grade. The pieces swallow anything that is not the props specifically made by Jenx. My question is : is it possible to do that for light props (not lampadaires, they can be added easily and stay on see pic) but lightcones ? Would a kind soul do it for us if it is ? I was trying to use Jenx' own light cones -- the ones that go with his Pont Neuf. I'd added benches, also JENX-Porkissimo's, and you can see one peeking on the right ; Jenx made benches specifically for his pieces, OK, they can be used, but as for lightcones... naaah.

    Are there somewhere bridge props whose water part is not baked-in (like in Peg CSK and, from what I see in my stash, every other canal system) ? I do not mean footbridges, but road-avenue-street bridges that can be used over plop-water -- or the props necessary to lot them...
  16. Vnaoned Monuments

    I must be especially dense. I can't quite understand how the vnaoned monuments pack function in the L.E. The readme says the props are available under VV_ and indeed the Concord Fountain, the LouisXVI Column and the small obelisk are, but where is the Royal Fountain ? I managed to make my own prop with The Virgin Fountain and the big obelisk/Alexander Column (it's for my personal use, I'd rather not have the whole Vnaoned folder clogging my already bloated game plugins) but the Royal Fountain remains obdurately AWOL from the L.E. (meaning I can't find it if it is there, at least) and resists all my effort to make amy own prop with it... Can someone help me unravel this ?
  17. So recently I got the itch to get back into SC4, purchased the GOG version, and got to work. Last couple of days I’ve been working on my plugins folder a little bit. All the custom content I’ve found here seems to work fine, I’ve gotten all the dependencies, I can play with them. This is where it gets a little odd. Some of the prop packs that I’ve added to my game appear as a ploppable tile in the parks section when in mayor mode. Sorry I can’t tell you which (there are a couple) at the moment, I’m not infront of my computer at the moment but using my phone. But any idea what might be going on there? Thanks in advance.

  20. Llama Reserve Nature Park

    Version 1.0.0


    This lot uses the maximum number of props allowed on a lot. The props are listed as: LotConfigPropertyLotObjectData, starting with 0x88EDC900 and ending with 0x88EDCDFF for a total of 1,280 props. Source: SC4 Devotion Forum The included road and parking overlay textures are the same as in my recently updated Quantum Dish download which has another version of the 3x3 Roundabout. If both are used then delete one or the other file named 'OverlayTexturesCivics_Network.dat'. The overlays may be used freely as long as a message to delete multiples of the same .dat file is included. EDIT NOTE: All the network connections are for 'streets' (in gray) so you have to drag a street from the lot edge. If you surround the lot with 'roads' (in black) they won't automatically connect and you can't drag roads out from the edge. The Llama Reserve and Nature Park An 11x13 lot with Maxis animal animations of llamas, cows, horses, giraffes, bucks and pigeons (which rarely appear, if at all). High park effect in local area. Minimal pollution. Network and transit enabled. Uses 200 mwh of power. The Llama Statue Roundabout A 3x3 lot with a llama statue built from the Maxis rock props. This lot uses my road overlay textures to create a roundabout connected on each side to the network. High landmark effect. Minimal pollution. The domestic llama statue was modelled from a picture by Kim Foster and is included under the Creative Commons Attribution 2 Generic License. NO DEPENDENCIES For further enjoyment of the Maxis Llama Theme: Using the standard cheats you can change the advisers to Llama heads. DollyLlama changes the faces of the advisers to llamas. Press CTRL + X to open the standard cheat window, then enter DollyLlama. The Llamas may not appear immediately, so click out and back in to the adviser menu to see them.
  21. I made a prop from a model, following the SCPIM instructions ; it's not the first one I've made ; I'd even made another one just before, which works perfectly. But the second prop only appears in the L.E props menu when I choose the corresponding Lot in the Lot menu. I'd made a base to plop it on, and if I choose the base (made with SCPIM, following the instructions, bis), the prop does not show up in the Props. The other one is there. I made them exactly the same way. What is happening ?
  22. Use of other's prop packs

    Alright, so I think this question might be self-explanatory, but I want to make extra sure I understand all the rules before I proceed. Am I correct to in my understanding that I am free to relot and upload items to the STEX which use props and/or BATted buildings made by other creators provided I link to those items as dependencies on the STEX and do not include them in my upload itself? I guess really what I want to know is whether I need anyone's permission to use their prop packs, or if I can just go ahead without consulting anyone on how I use their creations, provided I follow the upload rules regarding dependencies? And as a final question, regardless of what the rules say, what is considered polite? I don't want to break the rules, and I also don't want to irritate anyone.

  24. Cori's Custom Prop Excursion

    And in today's adventures I have (after much trial and error) learned how to make a custom prop. First I took screenshots of a Maxis god mode tree in SC4 and then made the images that SC3K likes: Here I've placed it on a lot in the BAP: And here it is in the game: In case anyone would like to test this I'll attach it here.   25. Maxis Props

    This is one of the extra files @catty-cb has maintained on her site and now has kindly passed over to us here at Simtropolis for hosting. I have made my own Maxis_Props.zip file since the original is a self extracting one that has no idea where the files should go. So, this is a manual installation and you want them in a C:\GOG Games\SimCity 3000 Unlimited\Apps\BACustom\Props\Maxis_Props folder. These are custom props for use in the SC3000 Building Architect Tool and you will then find them under the Custom Props area. In the screen shot I have placed one of each. You will notice this file is not my creation and credit for keeping it alive goes to catty. This STEX entry will stay under my name tho since I'm in charge of the new SimCity 3000 Sub-Forum and I'll be the one to reply to comments or questions.
