    Hello everybody! Please take some time to read this description! I know it is long but I promise it'll be WORTHWHILE. This mod automatically adds roadside decoration to Maxis roads in the game (so it doesn't affect streets, avenues, OWR, NWM, RHW, etc.). In additional to other details, it adds trees and bike parking to roads adjacent to commercial zones or ploppables, and car parking to residential or industrial zones. I carefully modeled it after the real life roadsides in Berlin but it should look great in any city. It is really beautiful but it has a lot of dependencies. So please go through them one by one (all the url links are up to date) and make sure you have all of them in your plugin folder. Each one of them provides one or more items for the mod (trees/ lamps/ parking meters/ etc.), so if a dependency is missing its corresponding items would be missing in the game, but the mod would otherwise function properly. Nevertheless, the download and installation of all dependencies listed are highly recommended. ALSO JUST A NOTE, even though sandstone and euro textures are in the screenshots provided above, they have absolutely nothing to do with this mod. But yesterday I saw someone asking for my mod and went through great lengths and language barriers to get it. I feel like it is only fit and proper that I make it easier for SimCity lovers like him to use my mod by uploading it here. The game has been out for more than a decade but it is still as great as ever. I don't know for how long it is still going to stay in the spotlight and I know even the most devoted players couldn't play it forever. But I'm sure SimCity will always be a memory to cherish and a game to revisit and reexperience time and again. So for this reason let's keep both STEX and LEX well and alive. This towns are Weimar and Gendenburg and also the industrial zone Eidenburth. If you confused about some names, i'm from germany And sorry, my english isn't the best... Without further ado - let's get back to the theme Cape Catfish is growing pretty well In the last years. With the take over of a new coast, the city started do developed strong enough, to be the new capitol. A big financial district, the fly daze international airport and Netherisland are some of the new additions to the city. - The capitol district -Netherisland in the Liver-Pool Bay, the Capitol and the Central Park (The tourist zone is called Netherisland, because the island is so low that it was flooded during the construction phase.     New Update For your city a new highway sign "Updated Version". This mod replace the model and texture of SimCity Highway sign. The model is the same like my German Highway Sign. I wish the direction names could be dynamic, but they can't. Well for that i made a rotated version, but you could only install one mod.   12. Hi folks. I haven't posted in forever but ran into my first problem with this game. So I want to design a German style city. I know I need the Deluxe Edition (which I have) and to plunk down the Brandenburg Gate in order to influence the style of homes built. However, when I do this, the homes and businesses still look like the standard US style homes. I am playing in Sandbox mode. Does that matter?

  14. Lilienstadt I - Arriving at Lilienstadt

    Auf nach Lilienstadt! As everyone who visits Lilienstadt by car we pass the Anschlussstelle West which leads to the Rhausstraße, a avenue that leads directly into the center of the city. We follow the Rhausstraße (on the downside of the picture) and pass the Hauptbahnhof (central station). In the middle of the City lies the Nikolovplatz with Neues Rathaus (new city hall) Near to the Nikolovplatz lies the Marktplatz (market) with the Altes Rathaus (old city hall). On the other side of the Street, there lies the Stadtschloss (city palace) which you can see only half here but completely in the preview to this city. I'm going to show you more pictures of the city in a few days, i hope you enjoyed
  15. Meying II - The second view

    Willkommen zurück in Meying! Today we will have a second view arround the city and its suburbs. We start again in the center, at the Handelsstraße, which is a famous shopping mile. Since some years, the city tries to modernize the buildings to make them more attractive. But, as you can see, its a slow process that will need some more years. The western part of the city is filled with some skyscrapers. You can also see many of the typical w2w-streets. We are leaving the center of the city and go to the district of Oberwalden. This sixties-settlement is the home of many working class and migrant families. And this is where they work. The Industripark Fegersdorf in the east of Meying. Southern of the Atter, there lies Meying's neighbour city Deppenbach. In comparison with Meying, Deppenbach is a poor city, and this is one of the reasons why Meying and Deppenbach have a long rivalry which today is mostly shown when the cities football-clubs play against each other. On the picture you can see the district of Blöder Berg with the Stadion am Blöder Berg, home of the FC Kickers Deppenbach. Down right you can see the JVA Deppenbach, the local prison.   16. Meying V - Last view to Meying

    Hi people, I showed you almost every part of Meying. So now it's time to see the last sights and leave Meying. We start at the center of the city where we can see three big churches in direct neighborhood. They are (from up to down): Simonskirche (protestant) Marienkloster (catholic cloister) and Maximilianskirche (protestant). In the west we have the Staatsoper (opera). You can also see the Gürtelanlage, the big park that circles the downtown and follows the old city walls. Outside the city, in the forrest, there lies the Stadion im Südwald. Home of Meyings biggest football club SG Viktoria Meying 1899. At the end, i wanted to show you the historic town of Kernheim again. You may know it from my first entry and on this picture you can see more of the historic houses. I wanted to thank everyone who followed this CJ. I will continue it with other cities. A preview will follow soon.

    Hi all! its been more than a year since i released something! and i finally completed the German set i promised ages ago! These new pylons have tons of little changes including a more realistic height and alot of new details. but thats not all The sets are bigger now including even more pylons like -Anchor pylons -Switch pylons -Rivercrossing pylons. The pylons are in real life arround 30 meters(or slightly higher) and in simmeter its arround 60(because sims are 4 meters long) So they dont fit that well with my older models For more info check out the readme wich you can find VVV and in the rar file. have fun! This set will eventually get an expansion pack including diagonal switch, anchor and river crossing pylons. but also more substation models and another pylon model. ---German themed high voltage pylons--- --------------------------------------- Models and lot files are created by Buzzit. --------------------------------------- This package contains the following files: 1x Straight pylon(model+lot) 1x diagonal pylon(model+lot) 1x Corner pylon left(model+lot) 1x Corner pylon right(model+lot) 1x Corner Pylon 90 degree(model+lot) 1x Substation pylon(model+lot) 1x Anchor pylon(model+lot) 1x Switch pylon((model+lot) 1x Rivercrossing pylon(model+lot) No dependencies required! --------------------------------------- Whats new? - pylons are twice the size of the other sets. This time i used a character to help me modeling. After i knew that sims are accually 4 meters instead of 2 i remodeld my standards to fit this. Thats why my pylons look so big compared to some maxis buildings. allthough they fit quite nicely with newer/custom buildings. -More details: This one speaks for it self. The pylons now have more details. - Darker textures on the pylon it self with little dirt and rust spots. -More pylon types including anchor switch and river crossing pylons. --------------------------------------- Known issues - The pylons catch fire sometimes. i dont know why these pylons do that. as my other sets arent having this glitch. to fix this just send your firefighters to controle the flames hehe if they catch fire alot. come back here and tell me i will seriously look into it furter more.(but as far as i know they dont catch fire that much) - You cant place trees arround and under the pylons. if you do want to have vegitation. first demolish the pylon and after that add the vegitiation you like(but this glitch is accually realistic lol.) --------------------------------------- This set contains 9 220kV double circuit one-level pylons wich are based on RL models. the corner, straight and special pylons are all power-eye-candy. But the substation pylons act like actual powerplants(wich generate about 2000MW) wich means you don't need to plop a new powerplant or use a power cheat everytime you create a new map. The pylons aren't slope friendly and should only be used on flat ground. Feel free to use the pylons for your own powerlots under the condition that you give me credit for the pylons themselves. If you have any issues place the issue on the forums of SC4D or Simtropolis and i will try to solve them ASAP Have fun!
