  1. Haussmann Reborn, Part 4 (Anno 2050)

-------------------------------------------------------- [AUTHOR'S COMMENT] -------------------------------------------------------- This is the fourth and last entry of Project Haussmann. I hope you enjoyed this development in 4 stages: briefing-proposal-construction-result For the next entry we leave for a while the Urban Planning stuff and we start a new section in this CJ. The next entry will be something that you have already seen in Simtropolis, but I will be changing a few pictures to match the new storyline. It was posted several years ago, so probably it will be new for many of you. See u!

This lot uses the maximum number of props allowed on a lot. The props are listed as: LotConfigPropertyLotObjectData, starting with 0x88EDC900 and ending with 0x88EDCDFF for a total of 1,280 props. Source: SC4 Devotion Forum The included road and parking overlay textures are the same as in my recently updated Quantum Dish download which has another version of the 3x3 Roundabout. If both are used then delete one or the other file named 'OverlayTexturesCivics_Network.dat'. The overlays may be used freely as long as a message to delete multiples of the same .dat file is included. EDIT NOTE: All the network connections are for 'streets' (in gray) so you have to drag a street from the lot edge. If you surround the lot with 'roads' (in black) they won't automatically connect and you can't drag roads out from the edge. The Llama Reserve and Nature Park An 11x13 lot with Maxis animal animations of llamas, cows, horses, giraffes, bucks and pigeons (which rarely appear, if at all). High park effect in local area. Minimal pollution. Network and transit enabled. Uses 200 mwh of power. The Llama Statue Roundabout A 3x3 lot with a llama statue built from the Maxis rock props. This lot uses my road overlay textures to create a roundabout connected on each side to the network. High landmark effect. Minimal pollution. The domestic llama statue was modelled from a picture by Kim Foster and is included under the Creative Commons Attribution 2 Generic License. Source: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Domestic_llama_(2009-05-19).jpg Install: To install delete Previews and text files, place the 'Llama Reserve Nature Park V1' folder in your 'user documents/ SimCity 4/ plugins' folder. NO DEPENDENCIES For further enjoyment of the Maxis Llama Theme: Using the standard cheats you can change the advisers to Llama heads. DollyLlama changes the faces of the advisers to llamas. Press CTRL + X to open the standard cheat window, then enter DollyLlama. The Llamas may not appear immediately, so click out and back in to the adviser menu to see them.

Description: This simple avenue roundabout filler, a 2x2 lot that can be plopped into the center of an avenue roundabout like any other roundabout filler, is designed after the NAM Logo, and as such, it is a tribute to arguably one of the the greatest and most important SC4 mods of all time. It can be found in the park menu. Dependencies: BSC Mega Props - SG Vol01: Required for the bushes and rosebeds. http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=746 Note: You must be registered at sc4devotion.com to download the dependencies mentioned above. Installation: Move or copy the folder in this archive into the Plugins folder of your edition of SimCity 4. To uninstall, bulldoze all existing roundabout fillers from this plugin and remove all of its corresponding files from your Plugins folder. Compatibility: This plugin itself should be compatible with all versions of SimCity 4; if not, please report. However, it is thought to be used in conjunction with the Network Addon Mod, and the NAM is only compatible with Cim City 4 Rush Hour or SimCity Deluxe.
  5. Hey guys! I've made a Realistic European Roundabout. Quite a lot of details and hours spent here Here are some screenshots: Video here: Cheers!
  6. I installed NAM version 35 a couple of days ago, and works flawlessly, with little to no problems. However, it seems to be doing something with my roundabouts: the avenue, one-way, and regular road roundabouts seem to completely disappear, and I usually have to bulldoze the whole thing and attempt to rebuild it, with rudimentary results. This is a serious concern for me, as some of my cities are saturated with roundabouts. I've included a photo below for reference. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

  8. STEX 20K File Quantum Dish SC4 Lot

This is my contribution to the STEX 20K file mark. Its just a simple landmark file of the Maxis Quantum Dish. Plop it in appreciation of all the files that came before. EDIT: JUST VERIFIED. STEX Files 20,000 Yiiiiiiiiiihaaaaaa!!!!! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This download now has 3 versions of the Quantum Dish. The original is the 1x1 Landmark found at the top of the LM menu. The LM is a functional industrial lot (stats below). The 2nd version is a 1x1 (non-functional) Park found in the Parks Menu. The Park lot can be used to place anywhere on a map without needing road and power connections and will not dilapidate. The LM and Park lots are identical but can be differentiated by clicking on the lot with the query tool. The stats for the 1x1 Park lot are the same as for the Open Grass Area park with light park effect and negligible pollution. On the morning of February 10, 2017 I noticed the counter was at 19,999 and I had been working on making a functional landmark from the Maxis Quantum Dish. I quickly threw together a zip-file to upload so I could claim the fame of having the 20,000th upload to the STEX. I've further developed this download, adding 2 more Quantum Dish lots and a Simtropolis lamp-post sign. The 13x2 Simtropolis Lamp-post sign is a hand-printed souvenir for fans and colleagues of Simtropolis. It is found in the Parks menu. Quantum Dish 3x3 Network Roundabout This lot is lavishly gardened and lit with lamps. Each side of the lot is connected to the street network so cars will pass through and drive around the roundabout. The street overlay textures are included in the folder with the lot. These may be used in other lots but references to the textures should be maintained to prevent duplicate loading of the textures. If another lot uses the textures a message should be included instructing to delete multiples of the same .dat file. . 9. Hi all. I downloaded NAM 35 yesterday and have been using it extensively since and I am very pleased with the upgrades, fixes, and new content. Hats off to the NAM team for all their hard work! I have one issue though regarding the MHW/Project Symphony; I found that the 2 level roundabout for the MHW does not connect on the right side to the L2. It connects fine on the left side and at the L0 network but it will not plop onto the intersection like the 3 level or the T-Junction nor can I drag the highway either to nor away from the roundabout. No matter what I do it simply will not connect on that side. After playing with it for quite a while I found that if I strip back the L2 and plop the roundabout on top of the L0 and then delete it by single clicking with the bulldozer on the very bottom edge (not by highlighting the entire roundabout) it will leave behind a small segment of L2 on the right side which I can then connect my highway to and THEN I can drop the roundabout in place and it works fine. I was wondering if this is somehow the bridge connector piece for MHW to RHW 4 but, even when I tried to use that piece from the menu it still didn't work. This is the only way I could make it connect. This was done on perfectly level terrain in a fresh new test city. Did I completely miss something here?

  14. Welcome back to Petal, today we are exploring to the major shopping area, west of the roundabout full of some of the best shopping in the area. Home of some of the large box stores, grocery stores, and restaurants , such as Walmart, Kohl's, Target, Winn-Dixie, Starbucks, and more! So let's hop in our cars, and drive to the latest place to shop in the Parish! As we start off; we start at the roundabout, where we will take the western way to the shopping, and more! Starting with a Winn-Dixie, Best Buy, and a McDonald's, the Winn-Dixie gives this town the southern feel that we preserve; and with the low, low prices; Keep the people happy with the freshest produce and meat, while across the street you can go buy that new computer to play Simcity 4! Going a bit more west, you come to the only Holiday Inn in the city; the original Holiday Inn was torn down in 1993 to build this; and the original was built in the 1960s with one of those big Great Signs of Holiday Inn, now it's a modern lodging area to provide all with comfortable lodging, and attempt to compete against the hotels in downtown like Holiday Park, and the other hotels on this part of the avenue. As well, is a simple Chevrolet dealership, with new cars and great service; the Petal Chevrolet dealership which has been in business since 1928, will service you till your happy! Like any other city, Walmart's store here is always packed, and with everything you need in a modern Walmart; that replaced the original one in 2015, it as well features Subway inside for a perfect stop for a sub, while shopping for your groceries, clothes, or anything really! Of course, there is non-shopping to; we have a Chuck E Cheese's and a Starbucks near the Holiday Inn, with a Rite Aid pharmacy, all in one intersection! There also, is a old Motorola office building for Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, and the Alabama region to provide quick customer service and offices for those in the company or buying their products. Don't like Walmart? There is a Kohl's near the Days Inn and the Hampton Inn, to get you your discount clothing. Or if you want to go to the end of the shopping experience, is a Sam's Club, Lowe's or a Target. Notice the farms, and railroad; tells you the sense and the fast transition from city-suburb, to farms and rural. It really is a unique sight to see, and a characteristic of the city. Right off the avenue, sits a strip mall with a Arby's, Dollar General, and other small stores and a Home Depot, right in the suburban heart but not even a minute away from the avenue. To give you the sense of the shopping area's size, we couldn't even cover it in one photo from the end at the Roundabout! Show's how big it really is! We will see you next time here at Saint Clements Parish!

The lot includes animations and lighting found in the stock game data files and fits inside the NAM avenue roundabouts. I imagined the lot as a traffic control center which could be made functional in the game as a query of traffic data. The preview also features the detail of balcony furniture and lighting found in some of the stock (Maxis) buildings. Correction: The Quantum Dish is in the original SC4 dat files.

    621 Downloads

I re-worked the Traffic Control Center and added 6 more 2x2 Park Menu lots that can be used in the the NAM avenue roundabout. There are 3 more 'Control Tower' themed lots, and 3 different park lots, one is an amusement type using the Maxis Tilt-a-Whirl ride, one a forested rest-place with a gazebo, and the other a decorative grassy park. All the lots use Maxis props and lighting, and have unique Park Menu icons. All lots have the same stats: Park Effect: 10 over 10, Landmark Effect: 20 over 10. Power Consumed: 20 MWh, Water: 10 gph. Monthly Cost: 50§ Minimal water and air pollution. The landmark effect is a bit higher as they are feature parks, the 'Control Tower' lots having an imaginary civic function in controlling city traffic. The roundabouts are part of the Network Addon Mod (NAM) which is specialized for transit and traffic networks, but the lots are stand-alone and can be used separately as park lots. If using the NAM bulldoze the default lot in the center of the avenue roundabout and plop one of the 2x2 lots. Any 2x2 lot can be used. Dependencies: bldgprop_vol1.dat The dependency file is located on SimCity 4 Devotion (SC4D) on the following linked page: Maxis Lot Editor (LE) Tool and Addons The Maxis Files for SimCity 4 are also now hosted here on Simtropolis on the page linked below: https://community.simtropolis.com/sc4-maxis-files/ Alternatively, the file below may be used instead of bldgprop_vol1.dat. It is a better option as it combines access to all the Maxis buildings as props and adds a better hover query showing the lot name. The above dependencies must be installed in your game application Plugin folder. To Install this package: Place the 'Roundabout Variety Pack Lots' folder in the zipfile to the 'SimCity 4\Pulgins' folder in user 'Documents'.

Simtropolis relies mainly on member donations to continue operating. Without your support, we just would not be able to be entering our 15th year online!  You've really help make this a great community.

But we still need your support to stay online. If you're able to, please consider a donation to help us stay up and running, so that we can help keep bringing SimCity players together to share our creations.

Make a Donation, Get a Gift!

Expand your city with the best from the Simtropolis Echange.
Make a donation and get one or all three discs today!

By way of a "Thank You" gift, we'd like to send you our STEX Collector's DVD. It's some of the best buildings, lots, maps and mods collected for you over the years. Check out the STEX Collections for more info.

Each donation helps keep Simtropolis online, open and free!

Thank you for reading and enjoy the site!
