Hi, a quick introduction. I'm Brad from WOB- World of Banished. been posting map blogs there for the last 7 years. the Banished sites have slowed down a lot in the last couple years. sadly , i think the lady who got me into blogging there has past away. she has not been heard from in too long. I figured it was time to break out the old SC4 game. i spent the last few months going thru my SC files and reloading dependencies as well as adding more mods. have played SC4 off and on but never completely filled an entire map. i still consider myself a greenhorn or new player compared to the work of many others here at Simtropolis. due to the limitations of my computer, i don't plan to use NAM or CAM. i know there is lots to learn, and more mods to download, but i am anxious to get this map started. there may be some similarities from these maps to reality. with the scale difference and the water table limitations of SimCity, they won't be replications. this is the PA map. like the true Pennsylvania, it does have hills and several rivers. a river borders it to the east. along that river to the south, a port area is planned. i did add an island to the southwest. the map was made with VIP Alpine terrain and the Cascadia tree controller and blendapenna water. the next step that I have planned is to run some railroads and highways thru the entire region. mainly just to connect some of the tiles and to the world. then i can reset the clock and $$ value and start building.

I admit that this region isn't the best it could be, I got sick in the middle of doing it. Some areas are of questionable quality but overall its decent (I guess). CONTENTS 1 very wonky United States complete with nice spots to recreate major cities such as New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami, and of course, Tulsa. SUGGESTIONS Use SC4 Mapper or something similar to use this SC4M file. Recreate Tulsa Do it Recreate Tulsa -

Hi everyone! This is a new version of my map of the 48 states of the USA. Included in the zip folder is a 16-bit png grayscale image of the map (no more 8-bit jpgs yay!) and a config.bmp. However, you can no longer manually render the map in-game by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Shift+R (if you try that using this 16-bit png, you will get an underwater world unless you readjust the brightness of the png). The map is 104km in length and 64km in breadth (OMG-how-to-play-this-its-so-huge ) You can of course resize the grayscale image and the config.bmp yourself if you find them too large for your liking. In case some of you haven't read the description in my previous upload, there will be NO Alaska or Hawaii in this map, so no further questions will be entertained regarding this matter. BTW, sorry for the repeated re-uploading >< And yeah, you may come across certain "rivers" (or water channels, or whatever name you want to call them by) which are disjointed at tile borders. If you're fussy about that, too bad, you'll have to join them together by yourself -

This is the United States in it's entirety along with Canada and some parts of South America. This is based off my beta version but this has been smoothed out to address most of the hills which made it unplayable. Please note that this is not an accurate representation in regards to elevations and major land/water features. The basic outline is the same for the continents and most of the water features should be in their proper geographic location but I'm no geography major. The seafloor is not that deep and this is intentional so that you can easily add your own landmasses in the otherwise empty tiles. I have looked over most of the map and most of it has been smoothed but there still might be some areas of unplayability but this can be remedied either in-game or using SC4 Terrarformer. All feedback is appreciated, read and taken into consideration. *Aircraft carrier, submarine and destroyer sold separately and are NOT included but to give you an idea what you can do with so much open water Please note that the map may not look the same as the thumbnail(s) due to certain mods that I have installed and are NOT required dependencies Grass : Meadowshire Terrain Mod Rocks : SHK HD Rock Mod .dat 1 Beaches : White Gravel Beach Mod Water : PEG Crystal Lagoon Difficulty : Advanced The readme is listed below and is included This map is 20x12 large city tiles. The Map should look the way you saved it. You will need to place the Tropical Climate Mod Folder in your plugins folder for SimCity 4 and NOT in the documents plugin folder or it won't work. /Program Files (x86)/Electronic Arts/simcity4/plugins Note : The Electronic Arts folder maybe called Maxis but this is the version I have You will need the Tropical Climate Mod Folder to render grass when you start a new city. This is a map of the United States in it's entirety and before you make complaints this is only a beta and NOT MEANT TO BE PLAYED as is but for someone who wants to edit this map to their liking and wishes to re-share it in a more playable format since I've had a request for this map and don't really want to spend 3 days or more doing the cosmetic surgery necessary to make this map playable. The base files are separate and are purely OPTIONAL if someone with more map making experience than I wishes to make this map more accurate. Difficulty : Grand Master Original Color : 5249x3049 pixels Greyscale : 5121x3073 pixels Config.bmp : 80x48 pixels The readme's are listed below This map is 20x12 large city tiles. Thank you. This is the 8bit greyscale only for use for rendering along with the config.bmp Approximate render time : 2 hours with the following system specifications : System Type x64-based PC Processor Intel® Core™ i7-2670QM CPU @ 2.20GHz, 2201 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s) Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 6.00 GB Total Virtual Memory 104 GB Page File Space 97.7 GB Adapter Type Intel® HD Graphics Family, Intel Corporation compatible Render time may vary Due to the extreme detailing of the original map (included) it causes most of the landmass to be under sea level. Use SC4 Terraformer to raise the terrain under the global tabs to 200 and this should bring everything underwater above sea level.
