  1. Show us your City's Details/Close-ups!

Been tinkering with textures and thought it'd be fun to make a little detail scene Just cosmetic experimentation
  2. Modern Chinese Village Box 3

Looks awesome! Thanks for making HD versions
  3. Oi Kwan Hotel

Couldn't believe how gorgeous this was when I saw it first time in game--and HD too! One of the most exciting BATs I've seen in some time, thanks!
  4. Some neat stuff shared above, on a topic especially relevant these days! Was actually looking for a picture of a squirrel when I stumbled across these old ones around the dam in an earlier city. The idea was to create a city sharing characteristics with Tampere, Finland, where industry built up around hydro power where a large lake flowed into another would eventually result in one of the country's largest manufacturing cities. I thought it was neat to be able to relatively smoothly incorporate three types of water into a small area, as well as find a number of HD bats for details around the dam's power infrastructure. Don't have any plans to return to this project but fun to remember some of the ideas put into it during its early phases
  5. Döbelnsgatan 33-35

Outstanding work, thanks! Reminds me so much of prepo's great stuff from forever ago, gives a great Nordic feel that would fit great in Finnish city center. All the details seem spot-on and the two non 16m width building combination is a very nice grid-breaking implementation!
  6. Amsterdam

Awesome update!! I love the canals and trams and the night overview is sublime.
  7. Atlanta

Lovely update and been looking forward to it after earlier teaser! Would have loved to see more detail on those crazy highways though
  8. Southern Poverty Law Center

Lovely building!! Lots of interesting stuff going on with the angles and levels and another example of a recreation doing especially relevant work in the world these days.
Wow, this sure is excellent addition and solution to a long-standing area of difficulty for suburban neighborhoods and implementation appears extremely elegant and thought-out. Thanks!
  9. Entry 79 -- Grid-busting in East Awnsale

Really nice demonstration of grid-breaking prowess! I also thought the roundabout/split turned out really neat--glad you stumbled upon it
  10. Penthesili Historical Center Regeneration

Really lovely work--the way you compose green spaces is particularly striking here and the layout of your streets and BATs feels effortlessly grid-breaking, cohesive, and realistic. Neat!!
  11. SIM-ple Jack's Special Reserve- Goose River Dam

awesome at least the model files and basics were and are available! Other than the lack of polish the problem with the dam is landscaping/implementation. it was so many years ago that the details are really fuzzy but i somehow or other fenagled it so one could place the dam lots from the top of the dam rather than the bottom, allowing any kind of terrain
  12. ''Gasklocka'' 1; 2 and indoor climbing hall

Lovely buildings! As has been mentioned, these will work excellently in grid-busting city-scapes!
  13. Sioux Falls City Hall

Nice work as always! I've seen that building so many times, attended council meetings, had a job interview there (city planning internship of all things), and never though much of it at all--if anything rather bland. I appreciate you pointing out the rather subtle style points I'd missed out on all those years! Very neat to see a Sioux Falls building, even if I've been an expat 10yrs now--possibly first one Cheers
  14. Banmedica Insurance Building

Lovely rendition of a lovely and interesting building! I'll definitely find a home for this @matias93 I bet if you model tweak z--> -10m "the moat" will be back and bothering in no time
  15. SIM-ple Jack's Special Reserve- Goose River Dam

Is that Heblem's big dam you're showing in the pictures? If so, it's really a great set of models that never got released. I recently found my set of of models and lots he gave me years ago, along with permission to upload to ST, but I've not gotten around to proper modding, lotting, and polishing and am unsure I ever will. If someone is interested in something better for them than languishing on my hard drive let me know
  16. Sergei Flats

Style and layout really captures the feel of a lot of the newer developments here in Oulu--looks set to be tremendously useful, thanks
  17. PWN London

Great little clinic that looks like it could fit in a broad range of environments! All the details and modding look up to your exacting standards.
  18. 725-727 7th Avenue, NY

Wow, just stunningly executed, perfect details and lights, fills an under-served niche, HD.... The most pleasant surprise I've come across in a long time.
  19. CT14's Railroad Lots and BAT

Hi! Fortunate timing that I'd spit this as I've been out of the SimCity loop since spring. But yes, I'm happy to make available any files that would be helpful and any contribution would be welcome. The only progress I've made on project in a long time was a largely-finished readaptation of the TIA on-slope FLUP lot to my spec and figuring out the automatic system for TOS intersections and network wasn't actually functional for tram. I'd like to continue but not sure when is realistic and important thing is just to finally make it available to people who might enjoy it. Let me know if can offer any tips on how to implement what you're trying. NWM is indeed fertile ground for customizing--I usually use paver textured versions of owr1 and nrd4 (as well as ToS, TOR, amd TIR), put bike lanes and/or parallel parking on rd4 and have 8/9 lanes with the 3tile nwm networks. Creating new override networks probably isn't realistic or best use of time.
  20. World Health Organisation Geneva

Thanks, Matt, I really like this one!! And of course it's a very "topical" BAT (note: not intravenous ). I actually got a bit of a eureka moment seeing it, as I've always got an airport project somewhere in the back of my mind and it's been extremely hard to find BATs that might suitably be repurposed for that in a way that'd offer some variety on top of the go-to modular concourse lots and xannepan's later, excellent, contributions. With the quality, style, size, and lack of features marking it as not part of an airport it may be just within the realm of possibility to make an airport that doesn't hinge on Saarinen's Dulles terminal for first time in recent memory
  21. Velodrome

Great to see lockdown come to some kind of positive! Perhaps could be "perfectionalized" but seems quite likely to find a place in my work and I don't consider myself the least selective guy
  22. Very glad I managed to track your work here down! (long story ) A very exciting and innovative project you have going here and on a scale that defies easy comparison. Never had even heard of the idea of a "super-region" comprised of a grid of conventional regions, nor of your idea to overlap the borderlands to avoid those orphaned areas at the edges that just can't really be played the same. The time you've put in is clearly visible and there's so many unique directions you've taken with things (only a single, tiny example but using a water mod with color varying across the tile like a brush as you do--it looks so good but I haven't seen it around in years, I guess because people were bothered by its affects on region view--though your region view mastery here ought to put paid to any suggestion one need choose between that style of look and a good regional look ) Look forward to more
  23. Essex County Recreation Center

Awesome work! I was literally just now logging on to the STEX to look for hockey arenas if you can believe it While I was looking for something bigger this is probably actually more useful as it's similar to buildings we have here in Finland and will be a great addition to new city built in Nordic style
  24. Geisel Suess Library, San Diego

Would you, could you, make a BAT? He did he did, hooray for Matt! Wow , what a stunning creation of something I'm so happy to now know exists!
