230 West Monroe is an office building located at the intersection of Monroe and Franklin streets in downtown Chicago, Illinois. Designed by Perkins + Will in the international style, it was completed in 1970 and renovated in 2003. With its 29 floors, 230 W Monroe stands 353 feet / 108 meters tall. This upload includes: 3x2 growable CO§§ and CO§§§ lots (Stage 8) for the Houston 1990 tile set; a 3x2 ploppable CO§§ lot (§23,472 to plop) providing 2663 jobs; and a 3x2 ploppable CO§§§ lot (§27,088 to plop) providing 1863 jobs. Dependencies: SHK Parking Pack for the base texture For the Darknite version: SimFox Day ’n’ Nite mod This model was created entirely using the open-source modelling software Blender and the BAT4Blender add-on developed by Memo et al. Banmedica Insurance, by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- This unusually shaped skyscraper was first posted in the BAT request thread. The Banmedica Health Insurance building (Torre Banmedica) is located in Las Condes, Santiago. I liked the unusual shapes and massing of this modernist building as well as the eye-catching brise-soleil that grace an entire elevation and exentuate the curve of the building. It is offered as a high wealth, high density Commercial Offices Building on a 4x4 corner lot. This should help ensure that it doesn't become too weedy...but weediness of course depends on what else you have in your plugins. It grows on all tilesets and employs 2,229 sims. It is suitable for CAM and non-CAM cities alike. If you want to make this a ploppable, I would suggest using Buggis extra cheats which will enable you to select this (and indeed any other building in your plugins - including maxis content) from a drop down list. --------------------------------------- STATS CO$$$: Lot size : 4x4 Growth Stage: 6 (High Density) Bulldoze Cost: $1,337 Capacity Satisfied: CO$$ 3,186; CO$$$ 2,229 Pollution: 13 (Air)/ 13 (Water)/ 5 (Garbage ) Pollution Radius: 5/6/0 Power Consumed: 90 Mwh Water Consumed: 970 Gal/Month Building Style: Chicago, New York, Houston and Euro Occupant Group: High Wealth CO --------------------------------------- NOTE ABOUT DARK NITE vs MAXIS NITE: There are two model files in this download. You must select the appropriate file from the download. The file suffixed with 'DN' is for those users with a night-time darkening mod installed. The file suffixed with 'MN' is for users who do not have any such mods installed. If you are unsure whether you have a night-darkening mod installed, then choose the Maxis night version. If you use the dark nite version, you will need a dark nite mod. This is a medical clinic with the stats the same as the vanilla one. Only difference is the patient capacity of 120. The building is based on a sketch for "The House of Silence". A project for a deaf center in the 30's Bucharest, Romania. While i'm somewhat happy with my modelling, when it comes to textures i'm not that happy. I hope to get better in the future. To install : C:\Users\...\AppData\Local\Colossal Order\Cities_Skylines\Addons\Assets Use the Painter Mod to adjust the luminosity as i made it darker. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1372431101-

Cube Apartments, by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- These are fictional, seven floor apartments that are typical of new builds targeting the middle class who want to live close to down-town environments. With highly complex massing executed in dark brick or plaster, multiple projections ensure that apartments do not overlook other windows and balcony spaces are reasonably private. There are two lot sizes provided: 4x2 and 4x3. These make for a striking mid rise, medium density apartment complex for 558 R$$ sims that grow on the Houston and Euro tilesets, and with judicial zoning can make for very interesting, homogeneous complexes. Like all of my work, these are suited to both CAM and non CAM cities alike. --------------------------------------- STATS R$$: Lot size : 4x2 & 4x3 Growth Stage: 6 (Medium Density Zoning) Bulldoze Cost: $449 Capacity Satisfied: R$ 1,009, R$$ 558 Pollution: 4 (Air)/ 2 (Water)/ 4 (Garbage ) Pollution Radius: 5/6/0 Power Consumed: 8 Mwh Water Consumed: 22 Gal/Month Building Style: Houston/Euro Occupant Group: Medium Wealth Residential Building --------------------------------------- NOTE ABOUT DARK NITE vs MAXIS NITE: This download contains TWO model files; one for dark nite users (and other night-time darkening mods, such as Gizmos night-mod) and one for the standard Maxis nite. World Health Organisation, Geneva, by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- If you are the President of the United States, look away now. This building contains medical science-type voodoo and other scary things. The employees in this building will not tell you to a), use disinfectant in your veins to best a wily virus, nor will they b), tweet their findings in lieu of peer review or, c), spend 50 minutes on Fox & Friends ranting uninterrupted... As the word grapples with the COVID-19 fallout, the World Health Organistaion has found itself thrust into the spotlight once again. Established after WWII, the main objective is to ensure that all people of the world can attain the highest possible level of health. The WHO has played a leading role in several public health achievements: most notably the eradication of smallpox, the near-eradication of polio, and the development of an Ebola vaccine. The current nine-story headquarters in Geneva (which are undergoing modernisation) were designed in 1959 by the Swiss architect Jean Tschumi. It is unashamedly modernist and quite graceful in its execution. I have taken liberties with the building. I have reduced the width (in reality it would be approx 13 tiles wide) and I have not batted the other wings and rear courtyard which would all have to be built underground in SC4. Despite that, the building still comes in at an impressive 9 tiles wide, so should make a nice statement in any city. The building is offered as a non-conditional reward and is a modified version of the advanced research centre. It does not generate radiation (which the in game research centre does) and it can easily be placed within a downtown environment or amongst parkland (as shown in the pictures). In addition to providing your sims with many highly desirable civic jobs, it will help alleviate the IHT demand caps that can hinder city development (by increasing IHT demand by 300,000 places). It has also been modded to provide some residential and commercial cap relief by providing both Park and Landmark effects. All these benefits do have a cost (which is only fair). In addition to the §50K outlay, this will set the city back §300 per month. * It is offered as a reward without needing pre-existing conditions. * It is located in the REWARD Menu. * It can be placed more than once in a city. * It DOES NOT over-write the ingame Advanced Research Center (or any re-lotted versions there-of), so can be used in conjunction with the standard Maxis reward. Placing rewards is an essential part of growing a large city and region, given their cap-busting and desirability increasing effects. --------------------------------------- STATS: Lot size : 9x3 Plop Cost: §50,000 Monthly Cost: §300 Budget Item: Government Buildings Occupant Groups: Reward, Crowd White Coat, YIMBY Demand Created: Jobs§: 80, Jobs§§: 588, Jobs§§§: 396. Ben Rose House, by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- Made famous by the 1986 movie, 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off', the Ben Rose House is a modernist residence designed by architect James Speyer in Highland Park, Illinois, for Ben and Francis Rose. The steel, timber and glass house was built in 1953 and sits surrounded by many trees overlooking a ravine. A separate pavilion was built in 1974. The house was recently put on the market, and despite representing stunning modernist design, failed to secure buyers. In addition to the interiors of the house requiring modernisation, the main reason that was given for lack of buyer interest was the two separate pavilions: while visually charming, this is quite impractical during winter in many temperate locations, let alone the bitter weather that Chicago often experiences. The house eventually sold after many years on the market and substantial discounting. To that end, I have added a glass walkway to connect the two pavilions, so this house is by no means a replica. This BAT is offered as a Mayor's house. There are two different versions included in the download: you can keep one or both, and both can be used at the same time in the same city if you wish. The first version is a 6x6 heavily wooded lot with a custom foundation that is designed to be placed on hillsides. This gives the mayor a perfectly private sanctuary overlooking his or her city. The second version is a 4x4 lot without a custom foundation that is designed for more level ground and has far fewer trees: this version is more suited to areas which are more urban, or for those who predominantly play on flat areas. Like the in-game Mayor's House, both lots are found in the Rewards Menu and have a separate icon and description to easily distinguish between the two versions. Placing this reward will boost surrounding desirability for business and residential, raise demand caps, provide jobs, and provide both landmark and park effects. It needs road, power and water. There are no restriction as to how often these lots can be placed and this reward will not over-write, or interfere with, any other mayor house rewards (including the in-game version). --------------------------------------- STATS: Lot size: 4x4 or 6x6 Plop Cost: § 4,550 Bulldoze Cost: § 730 Monthly Cost: § 45 Wealth: High Park Effect: 150 over 60 tiles Landmark Effect: 120 over 60 tiles Mayor Rating: 8 over 220 tiles Pollution at Centre: 1 (air) /1 (water) /5 (garbage) Pollution Radius: 2/3/0 Demand Created: R§ 5, R§§ 10, R§§§ 2 Power Consumed: 24 Mwh Water Consumed: 32 Gallons Occupant Groups: Reward; Mayors House --------------------------------------- DEPENDENCIES: To ensure proper functionality, make sure the following files are in your plugins folder: *BSC MEGA Props - CP Vol01.dat (https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=1180) *BSC Mega Props - CP Vol02.dat (https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=2790) *BSC Texture Pack - Cycledogg V01.dat (https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=101) --------------------------------------- To install, simply unzip the file into your plugins folder. -

Perth Council Building, by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- Inspired by the Council Building in Perth's Stirling Gardens, here is another iconic early 1960's building. This is an example of the modernist style with Bauhaus leanings, and has distinctive external 'T' shaped sun-shades in alternating patterns over the curtain glass wall to block out the hot Western Australian sun. Conversely, the roof area has a perspex covered walkway which I imagine would be about as comfortable as an ant under a magnifying glass in the broiling summer heat! It is with the 'T' shaped awnings that I taken most of the liberties with this building; reducing the width of the top part of the 'T' to ensure that each sun-shade is clearly visible in game rather than blurring into one. The real-life building was actually slated for demolition in the 1990's, but was saved and renovated as well as adding one extra floor at the top of the building. Recently, the building was also fitted thousands of coloured leds: hence, the unusual, and prettily-coloured night-lights. This BAT functions as a government building and town hall in game. In addition to providing your sims with 185 highly desirable civic jobs, it will help alleviate the commercial demand caps that can hinder city development. Given the way that the game is designed, in addition to providing health, education, safety, etc, using rewards is an absolutely necessary part of being able to develop large cities and regions. It sits on a 5x3 lot and will easily blend in with other park lots (such as the SFBT mid-wealth set) that use the Maxis R$$ plain grass. Similarly, given the fact that the building is 13 floors high, it will also work well in a dense city environment. * It is offered as a reward without needing to meet pre-existing conditions. * It is located in the REWARD Menu * It can be placed more than once in a city. * It DOES NOT over-write the ingame town hall (or any re-lotted versions there-of), so can be used in conjunction with the standard Maxis town hall reward. * It DOES NOT over-write any of my other town hall lots (so can be used in conjunction with these as well). --------------------------------------- STATS: Lot size : 5 x 3 Plop Cost: §47,000 Monthly Cost: §1,170 Budget Item: Government Buildings Occupant Groups: Reward, Courthouse Demand Created: Jobs§: 23, Jobs§§: 151, Jobs§§§: 11. If you wish to add parking textures, please do so using the lot editor and keep your negativity to yourself. --------------------------------------- To install, simply unzip the contents of this file into your plugins folder. Former American Cement Building, by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- While this is not a recreation, this building draws heavy inspiration from the American Cement Building on Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles. This particular building style was very popular in the 1960's and features a complex concrete latticework exo-skeleton and raised parking platform. Such treatment, as well as being decorative, provided additional structural integrity. Despite being a very common place design, they are very under-represented in SC4. It is on a 4x3 and 4x4 lot as a high-wealth commercial office (CO§§§) for medium and high density zones. It is offered as a growable mid-rise building only - on all tilesets - and competes well with many of the Maxis mid-rises. Stats, links and dependencies are listed below. --------------------------------------- STATS (CO§§§): Growth Stage: 5 (medium and high density zones) Bulldoze Cost: §730 Capacity Satisfied: CO§§ 1440, CO§§§ 1008 Pollution: 6 (Air)/ 6 (Water)/ 4 (Garbage ) Pollution Radius: 6/7/0 Power Consumed: 41 Mwh Water Consumed: 447 Gal/Month Building Style: Chicago/NY/Houston/Euro Occupant Group: Commercial Office Building --------------------------------------- NOTE ABOUT DARK NITE vs MAXIS NITE: This download contains TWO model files; one for dark nite users (and other night-time darkening mods, such as Gizmos night-mod) and one for the standard Maxis nite. ERJ_2x2Bldg_01 HD I know most people don't bother reading the ReadMe!... so I'll be brief. NO dependencies!! Alright, for those of you who want to know more: ERJ_2X2Bldg_01 is a W2W building inspired by a run-down building in the centre of Lima, Perú, though it is not exactly the same. It is intended as a 2x2 filler that can be placed in corners, on its own, or between two (or more) W2W buildings. It's not a fancy bat, I finished it in one afternoon and I really did not pay much attention to detail (as I said... it is a filler). The style is modernist and can be used for pretty much any city style. I made this Bat using HD gmax. Why? Because I am too lazy to create a day/night version in Autocad for a filler, yet I love high def. Installation: Unzip the file and place it in your plugins folder located in /Documents/Simcity4/Plugins. Delete this readme and the pictures, or use BSC Cleanitol for a faster game. dependencies: NONE! Welcome back to Sun Bu'er This small zone is located north of Tan Chuduan, the one shown in the previous entry. As we get further from the center of the city we are starting to see lower density some residential areas which are a preview to what lies beyond the dreamy spires of Ionica. The canal in this Zone is the continuation of a series that travels across seven small Zone above Avalon and it serves no real purpose other than to allow Sims to leisurely travel from one Zone to the next. Open your window and touch the clouds. In the last entry I called these suburbs, but they are really just low density neighborhoods. These areas were designed based on principles of Ecological Urbanism which is an evolution of, and a critique of, Landscape Urbanism; a theory of planning and design for urbanism arguing that landscape, rather than architecture, is more capable of organizing the city and enhancing the urban experience. The main focus of this type of design is to adjust the relationship between the city and nature. Each modernist home has three rooms and two basement levels with an easy to use and maintain self sustaining Aquaponics system. Each home is also equipped with a small backup geothermal generators which means residents will have power in case the local power station blacks out. I wonder what the modernist home looks like from the inside... Oh wow, nice bathroom! Replies: ggamgus: That is totally awesome, dood! D: *uses rusty time travel machine to go to Ionica* WHOA!! D: Thanks ggamus. Those darn time machines and their rustiness. We'll welcome you with open arms. Schulmanator: That park is awesome! It's all good but I like the very well laid out park the best Thanks Schulmanator, I'm just having way too much fun with those paeng parks right now. dubaidude303: Wow! Really did it up this time! That suburban area looks amazing! Great work dude! Thanks dude, the 'suburban ' area is just kind of a concept, but yeah I think its working pretty well so far. Forthwall: Excellent work! Is that a loki wanted poster on that building ? Thank you. lol, it isn't a Loki poster but I can see how it looks a lot like him. It is an advertizement for Gaius Baltar's book, My Triumphs, My Mistakes, from Battlestar Galactica. RepublicMaster: Nice shots, very Vibrant Thanks RepublicMaster. Hazani Pratama: Cool City! Thank you. Fox: Ahahaha .. thanks for the response .. I love it! As for the update.. love the little residential area on the edge of the city last two pictures), very pretty and unique. But I have to admit, I'm not a fan of those town houses.. it looks very alien in the center of the city like that and they kind of look like sore thumbs poking out. I can see what you are trying to accomplish but perhaps a better idea might be to make them in to a circular formation and have the park/paths in the center of the circle. Thanks for the great feedback Fox, I see what you are saying. I think that it would look better on a bigger scale. What I did was just a small tile and that didn't give a lot of space to fully realize the concept. I'll have to do some more 'testing'. what12311: Very good work, I hope to get as good as some of the other members on here one day. Thanks, so do I. KonstantinII: Where to get those cubic buildings in the first picture? And the small low density houses in the last picture. Both of those buildings are by rp2004. stonie03: The park from the last two pictures is amazing And it's all thanks to paeng. Well, I'll take a bit for credit for a bit of imagination. spursrule14: i like the look and design of the residential area, very different and exciting :bd Thanks. I like the idea of old meets new so we'll see how that progresses. SilverCyric: Wow!! Amazing work. I especially liked the elevated road/split. The night lighting on that is superb!! Thanks for sharing with us Thanks. Yeah that elevated split road sure gets people, thanks bripizza. Thanks for stopping by.

Before my trip to New York City, I was inspired to make a more modern Wall-to-Wall building, like several you'd find in the city. After returning I finally finished this building. It was inspired by a building in NYC though I've taken some liberties with it definitely where it doesn't look like a building in particular from there. It's meant to be W2W on its east, west, and north sides for the first 17 stories before the tier tops. It can be W2W with any other building, bigger or smaller. It's mean for a very Urban areas, but it can be a stand alone tower if it grows that way, maybe one could put a parking lot or large alley ways around it if that'd be the case. In game it's named Enterprise Office Spaces. It's meant to be another generic structure so feel free to rename it. It fits rather tightly on it's lot, so there isn't a lot a space. I decorated it with a few prop families of plants people, and some shops on the front. Feel free to change up the lot as well. It is also only growable, I still don't know how to make ploppables. Lay off me. You can easily plop it with the Extra Cheats Plugin DLL which I'd recommend for anyone. However, if you could make it ploppable yourself, and if one was to do so I'd love to add a ploppable lot to this file. PM if you could do that for me. But it doesn't have to be done. STATS- Growable Lot Size- 3x2 Occupant Type- CO$$ Jobs- 1809 If you'd like to change its stats your self, like convert it to a commercial service building or CO$$$ or anything else for any reason obviously you are free to do that as well. Just use the model file in the Plug-in Manager or any other similar tool. Enjoy this upload! Yes I have to yell at you to enjoy this.- 21 Comments

UNAM central library Proudly brought to you by Harishna The building: Central Library (UNAM Biblioteca Central), is the main library in the Ciudad Universitaria Campus of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). It holds one of the largest collections in Mexico. It is in a group of landmark buildings that make the Campus a World Heritage site. The library opened its doors for the first time on April 5, 1956. It currently holds around 400,000 books. The outside of the library building is covered with several murals, which were painted by Juan O'Gorman. The tiles were brought from many different parts of the country because a large number of colors were needed for the construction. North Wall: Pre-Hispanic Past This mural represents the ancient past of Mexican Culture, having a rough representation of what Mexico City was originally. It contains a River that encompasses what used to be the Center and on the border the symbols for the different surrounding neighborhoods are represented. In the Center a Tenochtitlan representation recreating the Mexico City foundation legend, in which the natives were supposed to found their city in the place where they find an eagle eating a snake and standing in a cactus. South Wall: Colonial Past East Wall: Contemporary World West Wall: The University and Modern Mexico (source: Wikipedia) The model: This is my first completed 3d model (excluding an earlier version of the same model done using gmax) and after an incredible long process (more than one year) my first released BAT. What it is included? SimFox DarkNite and MaxisNite versions Installation Simply select and copy the files contained into your plugin folders.
