  1. "Welcome to the International Olympic Committee conference regarding to announcing the winner city for 2032 Summer Olympics. Can you all please be seated." IOC President announced. "As that we have two final candicate city sitting on the either side of Goughall Centre, waiting for the winner city announcement. The two final candicate cities are... Maine, the capital city of Willoughby and another one is Madrid, the capital city of Spain. After the harsh evaluations and considerations that IOC have set, and we all have agreed the potetional winner that it will bring to the best Summer Olympics ever considered." IOC President continued. "The big and bold white letter I have on my hand, is a fate, where everything comes to the winner city." "We like both of the bid presentations, both of you, Madrid32 Bid and Maine 2032 Bid. These both presentations have scored 9.5 out of 10 for the presentation, but the winner city have one point advantage due to the evaluation points for the evaluation of the city." "I will just open the letter, and the next second, one of you will be cheering and screaming." *rips the letter* "Well. Well. Looks like we have the winner. The winner is... Maine. *roaring, screaming, cheering & laughing* "The city council of Maine, City of Maine and Willoughby Government have worked so hard on this bid. The Mayor of Maine, Douglas Strafen, can you please come up to the stage for a short message, maybe?" IOC president continued. .. "Well, okay. Here I am, standing on the stage cheering for my very, very valued winning city for the 2032 Summer Olympics. I would like to send a big thanks to Maineters for a such support, and cooperation. I am sure that Maineters would be very thrilled to hear this news. President of IOC, I would like to thank you big time for giving us this such rembarkable opportunity. Despite of Maine's population, I am sure, and very confident that Maine 2032 will be one of most successful Olympic Games ever you would recognise." Mr. Strafen announced. "As you may see that I am holding the massive Maine 2032 Candicate City poster, and it is the time to re design the official Olympics logo for Maine 2032 as that the logo is for bidding proccess. I am, yet, thrilled to hear that Maine will host something massive. Thank you."

Ok. So now I have PICTURES! The low quality of these pictures are because they were taken with my iPod.... So... this is the windmill plant I was talking about. Very nice and is right in the middl e of the neighbourhood for everyone to see. Cheapest and most worth source of energy. Also the cleanest. And this is an overview of the Residential Area. The tolled avenues can be seen above. The non-tolled expressway can be seen to the left. You can also see the other non-tolled expressway barely on the right. You should see the Hollywood sign, which looks perfect in the neighbourhood. The city is around half medium-wealth, a quarter low-wealth, and a quarter rich. It's a beautiful neighbourhood and ranked 4 stars. A closeup on the small but growing Commercial area (please can someone tell me what I asked in the first post.....). Both the tolled avenue (South World Tollway) and the expressway (Southern Expressway) can be seen turning left. Just above, the expressway merges into the tollway. The turn goes to the Industrial Area. About 35% of the population works in the Commercial sector which is very clean, sleek, and up to date. Below it is a subway heading under the Residential Area. Here, the dirty Industrial Area, which is taxed heavily for it's pollution, is the working space for 55% of the population. Connected by 3 highways which you can see here... the Northern Expressway, the North Douglas Tollway, and you can barely see the South World Tollway. The expressways were created after NDTollway went wacko with 444 cars a day and we split the Northern traffic with the expressway. A year later, we build the Southern expressway after the success in the North. The pollution in the IA is for some reason confined to around the IA. Unlike, in other cities where the IA pollution covered up the RA for some random reason.... However, the water pollution covers a large area, but RA is far away from the large area. Here you can see Central Park, the two tollways, the East RA and a slice of the CA. Central Park is a beautiful park filled with Sims that love to enjoy the day. A complete overview of Elteco, in which you can see the far away agricultural zone. Enjoy, everyone! Pleeese answer my question.

  8. Where you now find a thriving city where people live and work in lush green surroundings - history shows us it has all been the effort of the determined inhabitants of Livonia wanting to create a better place for their children. Up till early 20th century there are was a deep forest of mostly birches. As World War II broke out the national-socialists moved part of the population of the Kaunas-Ghetto and concentration camp to this spot for forced labour in the quarries. This outpost of the Kovno concentration camp was demolished as Livonia was occupied by the Soviet Union in 1944. In the early 1970's soviet scientists and politicians made plans for the reconstruction of a nuclear powerplant supplying Kaliningrad and the Lithuanian SSR with cheap electricity from the 'peaceful atom' here and the city of Atomgorod was built. The nuclear powerplant however was never taken into service and after independence in 1993 completely dismantled. The official name of this modern city was changed to it's present form, named after one of the Rabbi's interned in the concentration camp, to honour memory of the jewish and other prisoners of the former concentration camp outpost. Once the new Sims had found Milhent they thought of a master development plan for the little country so it would not become overcrowed like the ill-fated SimNation. There plan was to keep the population at a steady level for as long as they could. Well, I guess you'll just have to see for yourselves... Milhent Develepmont Master Plan Keep Steady Population Density (5 to 10 per Square Kilometer) Steady General Population (10000 to 25000 Sims) Divide Into Developments (3 to 6 different Housing Developments) One Single Goverment (One Chief of State, Ministers of Finance, Education, Supply, Industry, Safety) Steady Trade (Value of Imports = Value of Exports) Maintained Ports of Entry (Functional Airport and Seaports) Park And Recreation System (Parks In Every Development and a National Park)

Austin- a large seaside city in the plains reigon of my SimCity Deluxe game. with a population (trust me this is good by newby standards) over 141,000 residents, and over $10,000,000 in it's treasury. The southwest corner of Downtown, includes Th EA Sports Stadium, most of the financial district, Antwerp beach, And the entrance to Highway 19. the much less interesting southeast corner, holds a small financial district, slums, Mount Walter Volcanic City Park, George's Beach. The beautiful northeast corner of town includes The Regal Neighborhood, where the richest of the rich live. Also, there's the Austin Airport, the Austin Welcome Center and muesuem, a pretty sizable chunk of Highway 19. The fairly ugly northwestern corner is home to the industrial park and the city farms. Now, incased in the northeastern corner is the relativley small but rich town of Harrisburg.

Cowabunga. The City by the sea, built in the early nineties as a paradise of commerce, wealth and prosperity. A place for the rich to relocate, to protect themselves from such difficulties as crime, and economic depression. The City Planners hailed it as "a City that goes against the grain of the atrocities of the modern world" and "The last true bastion of peace". Wealthy businessmen flocked to the region, to set up shop, to make their millions in the tax friendly environment, and to bring up their families where crime was nonexistent. It wasn't meant to be. 2021. Detective Jon Simms is the last member of the CPD left that has any belief in the values the city was founded on. Surrounding him are cops who are as bad as the criminals, growing fat on the bribes from the local crime boss, Von Claude. The man was responsible for nearly all the murders, robberies, trafficking and gambling in Cowabunga, and every knew that he had Mayor Roberts firmly under the thumb. With the residents fearing the future, the economy collapsing, and with no hope of change in the future, The papers called the place "The Haven of Crime". Now, almost everything that made the city was gone. And, considering that Von Claude controlled all means of entering and exiting the city, the likelyhood of anyone leaving is grim. I believe Trapped is the most appropriate word. Detective Simms is the last hope of changing things. And he has no backup to call, no person to turn to in desperate times, and little chance of surviving past the end of the week. Because this is Cowabunga, the most corrupt city on the planet. And he's just declared publicly that he's out to change all that. TBC

Ultima is the name of planet now, the sims decided to name the planet. As for the N-420, it represents neighborhood- and its location number on Ultima's map, being 420. Luckily, they predict it will only last for a few days So if your wondering why the streets are empty, this is why. I cant stress this next part enough .. My Story Begins at the Airport. I was texting away on my Iphone waiting for my flight's boarding to begin. "Boarding for Flight One-Niner-Zero to Dallas Fort Worth International will begin at gate 8 shortly." said a voice on the intercom.I drew my eyes away from the phone and looked out the window at the 757. The baggage trucks had stopped unloading the previous flight's luggage. Some of the people on the tarmac were nonchalantly sipping away at Starbucks coffee. I wondered what it was like to work at an airport. "Buisness Class Passengers Seats 15 through 26, you may now board the plane. Please hand your tickets to the attendant as you get on board." I have no idea why airports keep their jetways at 54 degrees farenheit. I handed my ticket to a fair looking attendant. She seemed to be in her mid twenties. She smiled as i boarded the plane and I tried my best not to blush. I plopped myself down on seat 21. The tv in front of me was playing a safety video. Bored, I looked outside. The sky was a beautiful magenta with no clouds. I was on a buisness trip to Dallas to introduce a greener way to produce our company's products. I had never been to Texas before. My home was in Nevada. It was about 30 miles from Downtown Las Vegas. My thoughts on home and my dog, Oreo (for his Brown and White Spots), were interrupted by the pilot's voice on the speakers. "Ladies and Gentlemen" he said with a british accent. "We are leaving the gate. The weather in St. Johnston right now is clear with a temperature of 64 degrees. ATC is notifying us though that the winds are kind of choppy over Phoenix, Arizona and the weather is overcast over there. Unless that causes some delays, we should arrive on time at Dallas by noon. Dallas is under partly cloudy skies with 10 mph winds. Please pay attention to all instructions given by the flight attendants. There will be small snacks distributed aboard this 2 hour trip served once we reach our cruising altitude. Thanks for choosing American Airlines and we hope you enjoy your flight." As we climbed after takeoff, I looked out the window at the airport. The glass was slightly scratched but I could see it was buisier than usual. Oh right, it's Spring Break for the public schools. I also noticed a nice hotel by the beach. We were given snacks about 1 hour into the flight. I took a diet coke with some crackers and a bannana. I then pulled out my Iphone and turned onto flight mode. I tapped Angry Birds. My friend had told me about it. I watch as the white bird dropped an explosive egg on the green pigs with distorted faces. All of a sudden the plane lurched. The Seat belt sign turned on with a Ding! sound. "Ladies and Gentlemen we are currently over Arizona and the clouds are rather turbulent at this altitude. Please fasten your seatblet but do not be alarmed."But then the plane lurched again. And all of a sudden it was quiet. Like seriously quiet. I realized the plane's engines weren't on. Then I felt like I was freefalling. Cups of coke and random fruit slammed into the ceiling. My seatbelt burned my waist. Oxygen masks fell and then they slammed into the ceiling. I tried to turn my head and look out the window, but the G-force held it in place. And then nothing. No, there was no white light. Just nothing. And then it all went black.

The Ambition's Development- January Edition. The fight for a bridge because of the regions beside this new area, was finally realized, as the rail bridge was already there. People used the bridge, luckily: Soon development began there, and people flocked to the city: Overpasses are needed, and are made, with shops and bussinesses popping up next to them: 2 roundabouts, center points of the city: The main avenue; the center of traffic. The city from afar: And the rail across the river: Mainy years lay before this region. Areas around it will grow and soon the suburbs will stretch across kilometres. Farms will appear, and most of all, it will be in order. Thankyou for reading the City Times ______________________________________________________________________________________ Or so they thought it would be in order... -Written by me, one hundred years after this was printed.

  22. I'm back with a small update to keep you guys on your toes, after a brief hiatus to focus on modeling. But here we go. The Kandatuu lighthouse was erected in 1961 by the local Okumarans, as many ships that sailed past the southern tip of the island found themselves caught upon the rocky shoals close to shore. Many millions of dollars in cargo, and much more that value in human life was lost at sea due to the numerous shipwrecks. It was decided to erect a lighthouse with a beacon that would shine across the globe. The Kandatuu lighthouse, still to this day, boasts the brightest beacon in the world. It can be seen from over 40 nautical miles away. During the day, it serves as a reminder of human strength to the Okumarans, and as a landmark to local fisherman sailing around the island. It still stands strong after 50 years of being battered by winds, sea, and rain. The Kandatuu family has manned the lighthouse for 50 years, and have said they plan to do so for many more years to come. The beauty of the area is unsurpassed, for sure. Because of such, it is a popular tourist stop, and many people on the island get married on the cliffs nearby. May the lighthouse shine on for many years to come.
