Stormy Weather in Ceder Plains
Uh-oh it appears we had a tornado can't imagine how those cities got hit eh? Here's this weeks article. Here are the whole images of the weather as I feel the smaller photos in the articles don't do much justice. Lightning hitting Ceder Lake Ceder Heights Twister Breeze Twister Tornado damage in Breeze with ambulance looking for survivors. Personally I think I might overdone the green stormy look I probably should of used a lighter green. Don't worry though I've been told the mayors exited without saving. -

The dam of Estiguarria
Replies: Oh My Gosh. That is truly amazing. very realistic Thanks a lot! Reminds me of Arizona, with less trees and living plant life in general. (Besides the cacti, of course) Very beautiful little own and surrounding area. Nice job! Yep, it does look like Arizona because I was inspired by it and some other regions as well. Thanks. Nifty! Thank you. Yes, I like this update as well It's very realistic and very beautiful, so I'll keep keep an eye on it Thanks! I'm glad you liked it. Very nice. One suggestion, maybe try turning off the street tree mod you are running, those big bright green trees don't really suit the region. Other than that it's really good. Yeah, hadn't thought about that. I'll make sure those trees disappear...Thanks for the suggestion! I have rarely seen south american stuff, this is great Yeah, south american CJs are pretty rare. However, I've NEVER seen an african CJ (no, not north african, but equatorial). Thank you. Awesome Flora! Didn't even realise u cud do that with SC4 Ah, yes, the possibilities are endl-, almost endless! Thanks for commenting. Incredible! That looks incredible! Although I was thinking the same thing at jmarshall about the tree-lined streets. Thanks a bunch! Those trees will go away... Amazing work! Realistic and original. I love the rock mod you are using! Thanks, I'm glad you liked it. I've decided that I should post unusual entries, to make my CJ more original. Wow, beautiful, it looks like a small latin american town! Thank you, that was my goal! The dam (which is on the same tile as the mines on the last post) may not be that large, but It serves its purpose: to create electricity for Estiguarria. There are plans to expand the dam and distribute the power to nearby towns. However, there's always opposition, and this time some people think it will endanger further the ecosystem. What? I had to do it...: ¿Que? Tuve que hacerlo...: - 15

PART 3: Downtown Bangor: The Fun Stuff
Bangor has its commerce, bustling streets, and tall skyscrapers, but it also has a fun side. Aquariums to parks and stadiums to eating. These are the places where sims can relax, hangout, and spend their hard-earned simoleons. This is Delta Stadium, home of the Bangor Deltas. On the riverfront, but facing the city. This is the local Sean M. Ellis Aquarium, near the waterfront, east of downtown. This is John Wells Park, a park just west of downtown across I-40. This is a popular biking destination, because its the start of the LaSalle Watershed Trail. What do we have here? A military demonstration from Walker AFB... The St. Shaun Cathedral was the first church built in Bangor, and the tallest structure for 11 years. Now it is the tomb of Priest James Shaun and one great tourist trap. The Toyota Center is the only place for basketball in Bangor. This and the nearby hockey rink bring in allot of customers, so small businesses are taking advantage. The waterfront (Not to be confused with riverfront, which is a boardwalk along Front Street) is the place where families can come and eat over the water or play at the park. This is the home of the annual Taste of Bangor. Also, a small freight station sits and ships out goods by rail from the few remaining factories from the 1800's. This is one of the two massive arenas of the civic center. I would let you guys name it, but I am afraid HSBC pays rights to the name. If you have any questions I will answer them with an entry. - 3

Bringing the goods
It was early. Very early. Or late.. Dieter's watch told him 04:00, and already the warehouses in Ingeln were bustling with life. He reversed the Maersk trailer towards the gate. Only two stops this morning; the airport and Weneer. Fair enough. Then he could take the A-1 and the A-21 to save some time, as long as he got started before the morning commute in Victoria.. The forklift driver loaded the trailer with professional precision. Dieter was amazed. To manoeuvre a semi in between the containers at the seaport in Weneer was a piece of cake to him, but he had never understood how the truck drivers managed to load the trailer that quick and perfect. After a relatively short while, Dieter headed for the B-11. He headed for the Ingeln motorway entrance. The B-11 was definately the fastest alternative. Luckily most of the cars surrounding him seemed to head for Kempler. Dieter had been driving goods under contract with Maersk for 5 years now. He was quite happy with it. As a child, he could sit by the kitchen window in his childhood home for ages, just watching the trucks drive by. Sure, the work hours could be quite heavy, especially getting up to drive at 4 o'clock in the morning.. Still he loved it. The sound. The feel. The chance to be left alone for a couple of hours. Soon he entered Hansmarkt. The lights from the distribution centres lit up the area around the A-1 entrance. The A-1 was desolate, and Dieter stamped on the gas. The engine roared beautifully, as the semi-trailer slowly accelerated onto the motorway. Driving through Victoria this morning was a charm, and shortly Dieter arrived at Aaden Kreutz. At rush hour this junction could be a living nightmare, but it was still too early for most people. Dieter slowed down and chose the right lane leading to the A-21, heading for Weneer and Marienhof. The intercom started to squeek. It was Dispatch. - When you're at the airport, a woman's voice said, they've got something for you to take with you to Weneer. - Copy that, Dieter answered. Dieter drove straight through Weneer Kreutz and chose to "Continue to follow the A-21", as the woman on his GPS would have told him, had he used it. At the Marienhof Goods Terminal, he could see the Maersk plane from his loading bay. He loved seeing the Maersk logo on the plane. And on his trailer. And the warehouse buildings. And the ships. Dieter had always been a lojal employee, proud to work for this company, and just the sight of the logo made him smile with satisfaction. Just as back in Ingeln, the forklift drivers worked in an extremely high pace, like ants around him, and soon he was ready for his last stop; Weneer. Weneer was as impressive as it always was. Arriving at the seaport's goods terminal when it was still dark had always been one of Dieter's favourites. The cranes, the containers, the large ships and all the lights.. It was truly an amazing sight! Even though it was barely 6 AM, Dieter had never felt more awake. And alive. And proud. Thank you for reading! - Eivind - 20

Sidetrack: Bastion - Neighborhoods
Hello Readers, I must apologize for a very long absence from my CJ after only two postings. I would like to take a brief detour from the story line and show you the city next door to Radiant (the home of Ryan Falk and the setting of City Noir). That city is Bastion. Bastion (Area 2) sits on the southwest edge of Radiant (Area 1). Originally, it was merely a carelessly built city smeared over a large tile set simply to serve the needs of Radiant for jobs and neighbor connections. (Sorry no picture of the original) Now it has been, and is being, completely redone. Only about 5% of the original city, including transportation networks, still remains. The rest is being remade as a 1930s - 50s era suburban neighborhood, a high tech zone (which will include more vintage looking HT buildings if I feel really ambitious), a small industrial zone, and a rural country side on the opposite bank of the inlet. Today we'll be focusing on the area bounded by the blue box which is the newly completed residential zone and town center of bastion. Lets start with the demarcation point between the outskirts of Radiant (the edge of which is actually a part of the city of Bastion) and the sprawl of homes: a billboard welcoming visitors and reminding them to keep their Cadillacs and Fords at a reasonable speed. The neighborhoods are set on wide streets which run from Radiant to the coast. There's plenty of space for curbside parking, lots of trees, and almost the entire area is serviced by the Radiant City Tram Network. That means that residents send their children to school on the green car for a nickle. Students who wish to avoid the packed urban universities in Radiant can attend Holly Hill College on Allison Street. They can also get to church easily on Sunday morning. Bastion residents also enjoy spending their weekends at one of the two ballparks currently in Bastion. Use of these city parks has been so high that the city is voting on building another next year. Families and couples also enjoy seeing the cost at the cliff top boardwalk in the town center at the south end of the peninsula. Later they can visit the small farmers market or go to the beach at Rock Point. Some families own houses on the coast and others visit the shoreline woodlands just for a breather or a weekend camping trip. Of course, the people of Bastion know how to work hard too. Most people work in Radiant or in the large industrial district west of the city. To get to their jobs they can drive, take the Green Car, or take the train from downtown Bastion. They can also board their trains from one of the many rail stations that dot the rail viaduct network running through the neighborhoods. I hope you've enjoyed this trip through the tree lined neighborhoods of Bastion. - 3

Regional Information
Welcome everybody to my first city journal! I have been wanting to do one for quite some time, but could never come up with a city worth showing to the public, in my opinion. This update will include some of the general information regarding the region. Region Name: Commonwealth of Sadaen. Capital: Wayside Governor: Tony Eusetta Lieutenant Governor: Jeff Martinez Senators: Mark Sommers |R|, Jill Hazel |R| U.S. Reps: 23 Current Population: 12,339,000 Climate type: Mediterranean Tallest point: Valley Hill, 10 feet Lowest Point: Hill Valley, -10 feet Sadaen is a real wonder. Who would have thought that two lonesome men wondering around in the 1700s could start the small town of Buckley, and turn not only the city, but the entire new Commonwealth of Sadaen into one of the most, according to Forbes, desirable places to live. With an average income of $71,000, money and jobs are commonplace. And the Mediterranean climate is really something to write home about; the state averages more than 320 sunny days per year. The lack of a single threat and the nicely designed canals divide and bring together this state at the same time. Check back soon for my first city update, the booming commercial town of Sadania. Below is an image of downtown at night. -

Fort Union
I'll get right to it. This is the region of Krugerfontein (the name is not German or any such thing, I just pulled it from this iPod Touch game called 'Real Racing 2' by Firemint), and the largest city in the area is Bayview. I don't feel like typing out some long winded text about a backstory or any such thing, because it detracts from what I'm here to show: my region (also, nobody will read such posts ). Anyways, to start things off, here is a rather impoverished neighborhood on the east side of Bayview named Fort Union: -

Being located in a desert, and the southern Grand States, temperatures reach anywhere from 20 C to 45 C in the daytime during the year. Martino Valley’s biggest draw is its casinos. Just like Las Vegas the city is based around flashy shows, bright lights, and gambling until the paycheque is gone. With a population of about 1,250,000 people spread out over a sprawling grid style city Martino Valley has the second highest amount of tourists in the country. "What's the life is like in Juario?"
A typical motorway in Juario. You can get into the City Centre from up to 15 miles away in ten minutes with this motorway. The City Hall. Buses play as an important public transport role in Juario. There are over 35 bus lines in the city, compared to like ten metro lines. The buses carry over 80 million passengers every year. A view of Juario City Centre from Hidden Beach. Hidden Beach are so "hidden" and the people have to park the car over 5 miles away and hike over Guthega Mountains to reach to the hidden tresure. (THE PICTURE IS TAKEN BEFORE ANZAC BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION). Hagley Community Park. The beautiful waterfront parkland is located at the eastern side of Mt Hagley and is located above the southbound enterance of the North South Bypass Tunnel. A suburb in the City of North Shore. This is a brand new suburb with a brand new high school and a brand new views of Juario City Centre skyline. A family home near Home Hill. A lot of families want to live somewhere near Home Hill because Home Hill is a really beautiful mountain and if you get to the summit, and you will experience a breathtaking view of Juario City Centre. You can find some pictures in other update for some views from Home Hill. - 6

Welcome to the growing community of Windsor, located in the heart of south-western Ontario! The town is quite small at the moment, but will surly grow rapidly in the near future due to the fresh ground water and oil reserves found close by. The current population is around 1,800 with a nice downtown and industrial area which is just starting to grow. Expect another update on this community very soon in the future. Thanks for viewing everyone!! -

Houston, TX
Houston I am recreating Houston metro area as close as possible. I wanted to place the Reliant Arena and Toyota Arenas in the relative proximity of where they really are in the city. Some the of the parks are located where they are in the city. I have created Rice University. So far only the inner beltway is completed. The urban freeways are as close as I could get to the real layout. The region is starting to become prosperous after a slow start. Commerce is increasing. Currently the region is 1.05 million people. The downtown proper area is 381,000. -

Geordun - On the Border
City/Town Name: Geordun/The Barrens Population: 73,741/1,000 Geordun has been a major settlement for a very long time and has prospered from the Aleria/Dangor Bridge across the Alerian Channel which is part of the border between the two countries of the Dangor Fleets and Aleria. The Customs offices on the Alerian side of the Channel have a high level of security due to the high levels of immigration from the Dangor side of the Channel. The level of immigration has caused the nation of Aleria to take large scale measures to reduce the problem, like straightening the coast to produce high, impassable cliffs. These massive changes took into account the towns large scale port facilities so a large cutting was made into coast. This large town's skyline is dominated by the Police HQ, which operates much of the local border patrols, and the University of Geordun's tallest building and primary administrative centre. This region of the town is the oldest and has seen many changes. Part of the town's main transport links is the M4 motorway which starts at the customs offices and has it's first interchange at Junction 1, linking the town with the rest of Aleria including the new town of Crosshampton. This part of the motorway is one of the oldest in the network with an unorthodox and inefficient junction. Of course it would be a shame not to mention the town that on the other side of the channel; The Barrens as it is called is a small town with a population of 1,000 bearing many scars from the Dangor-Alerian Wars that Aleria most definitely won. The large craters are the remnants of the intense artillery fire that the country endured during that war. This region of Dangor has never truly recovered it's economy relying entirely upon the highway that passes into the rest of the country. As the Dangor Fleets drives on the right hand side of the road and Aleria drives on the left the small junction in this town allows traffic to switch although this junction is unable to cope with the high traffic levels and there are plans to improve this junction in the near future. The Alerian side of the border also has remnants of the war fought between the two sides, the SAM sites are still in operation along large parts of the border.- Read More
