  1. Pigs Ass Porter Brewing Co

Pigs Ass Porter Brewing Co. by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- This Brewery building is fictional, but the beer - "Pigs Ass Porter" is real: an award winning London-style dark ale. Even though the building is fictional, these sorts of solidly constructed brick factories were common-place in the early 20th Century. This I-M building is highly detailed and, unlike many I-M buildings, does not wear the pastiche of run-down rusty griminess, so will look just as good in an industrial wasteland as it would in at the edge of an urban core. The building is offered as an I-M 4x4 and 5x5 growable Anchor lot. If you wish to make this building ploppable, I would suggest downloading Buggis Extra Cheats. It is suited to CAM and non-CAM cities alike and provides 639 jobs. Additionally, the little beer truck is provided as a separate prop. --------------------------------------- STATS I-M: Lot size : 4x4 & 5x5 Growth Stage: 3 (High Density Zoning) Bulldoze Cost: $ 541 Capacity Satisfied: I-M 639 Pollution: 33 (Air)/ 22 (Water)/ 5 (Garbage ) Pollution Radius: 9/13/0 Power Consumed: 34 Mwh Water Consumed: 508 Gal/Month Occupant Group: Industrial Manufacturing Anchor Building --------------------------------------- NOTE ABOUT DARK NITE vs MAXIS NITE: There are two model files in this download. You must select the appropriate file from the download. The file suffixed with 'DN' is for those users with a night-time darkening mod installed. The file suffixed with 'MN' is for users who do not have any such mods installed. If you are unsure whether you have a night-darkening mod installed, then choose the Maxis night version. If you use the dark nite version, you will need a dark nite mod. 4. Charles St Foundry

Charles St Foundry by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- Made as a request, this building draws its inspiration from a river-side foundry on Charles/Mill St, Providence, Rhode Island. These sorts of solidly constructed brick factories were common-place in the early 20th Century. While most were torn down, some still remain either as abandoned relics or as converted commercial/residential spaces. The building is offered as a functional I-M ploppable which has custom foundation walls and is modded so that it can be placed along the sloping areas of a river bank (thus leaving the retaining wall exposed to the water) and an I-M 3x2 growable Anchor lot. If using the building to act as a retaining wall along in-game water, just stabilise the land using the single street tile method as I have shown in the pictures. It can also be used with ploppable water or just plopped on flat ground. It is suited to CAM and non-CAM cities alike and provides 15 jobs. --------------------------------------- STATS I-M: Lot size : 3x2 Growth Stage: 2 (Medium & High Density Zoning) Bulldoze Cost: $ 234 Capacity Satisfied: I-M 15 Pollution: 1 (Air)/ 1 (Water)/ 4 (Garbage ) Pollution Radius: 16/20/0 Power Consumed: 12 Mwh Water Consumed: 5 Gal/Month Occupant Group: Industrial Manufacturing Anchor Building STATS I-M Ploppable: Lot size : 1x3 Plop Cost: $ 624 Bulldoze Cost: $ 234 Capacity Satisfied: I-M 15 Pollution: 1 (Air)/ 1 (Water)/ 4 (Garbage ) Pollution Radius: 16/20/0 Power Consumed: 12 Mwh Water Consumed: 5 Gal/Month Occupant Group: Industrial Manufacturing Anchor Building --------------------------------------- NOTE ABOUT DARK NITE vs MAXIS NITE: There are two model files in this download. DIY Skyscraper International Style, by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- This download contains 3 modular BAT pieces to allow the end user to build their own functional skyscraper in the lot editor. While there are plenty of modular sets for all sorts of things, to my knowledge, a modular, functional skyscraper is a unique offering in the SC4 world. The model is fictional, but representative of the ubiquitous International Style of skyscraper that dominated the world from the 1950's onwards. These sorts of buildings generally did not exceed 50 -60 floors, but some, such as Chicago's AON Center and the former WTC in New York reached between 80 - 110 stories. This is the first of a few such DIY Skyscrapers. This BAT can be assembled so as to make any sized building (in 5 story increments) of between 10 or 15 floors and, in theory, as many floors as you want. There are three pieces rendered out as props that you line up and combine and raise in either the PIM-x or lot editor (CTRL+up arrow key) to build your own skyscraper: *Mattb325_DIY_IntlStyle_Base (the Lobby and first five floors) *Mattb325_DIY_IntlStyle_Mid (the middle five floors which you repeat as often as you need) *Mattb325_DIY_IntStyle_Top (the upper five floors and roof junk area) To start you off, I have made four fully functional, ploppable lots with jobs of varying sizes: 15, 20, 40 and 50 floors. These lots are also reasonably modular and you can plop them down in clusters like the display pictures. The ploppable lots are found in the landmark menu and provide CS$$ jobs (I've used CS$$ as there is always infinite demand in game, and CO demand often ends up negative by using ploppable skyscraper lots). They therefore require road access - the busier the better, water and power. Like all of my work, these are suitable for CAM and non-CAM cities alike. --------------------------------------- Please note that as these are vertical modular pieces, you will see little seams/apparent misalignment/repeated textures at certain zooms. I've corrected it all as much as is possible: it's not super visible unless you go looking for it, but beyond the corrections I've made there's not really anything I can do about how the game stitches FSH files together for its own display purposes. And certainly, for non batters, the benefit of finally being able to make your own skyscrapers should outweigh any small visual seams at certain zooms. --------------------------------------- As this is released as a DIY set, by all means make and share your own versions of skyscrapers - you don't need to ask my permission - but ensure that you point to this file as a dependency for your creation. And, if you are using the functional lot versions that I have provided, please ensure that you use the 'save as' option when making your own lot, particularly if you intend to upload your work to the exchange. --------------------------------------- STATS: 15 and 20 Floor Skyscrapers Lot size: 4x4 Plop Cost: $14,688 Bulldoze Cost: $856 Pollution at Centre: 46 (air) /23 (water) /46 (garbage) Pollution Radius: 5/6/0 Demand Created: R$ 3,758, R$$ 942 Power Consumed: 76 Mwh Water Consumed: 905 Gallons Occupant Groups: Landmark; CS$$. 9. Glasshouse Cafe

    Version 1.0.0

Glasshouse Cafe, by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- Another one of those files where a single lot can provide a multiple of uses, the glasshouse cafe is a fictional bat that came about after I was asked to release (as a standalone prop) the table/umbrella/chairs that I use as part of making other bat scenes. The prop looked rather lonely on its own, so I batted the cafe to match. These sorts of cafes and restaurants were very popular in the late 19th and early 20th Centuries, when large areas of glass/glass roofing were really something of a status symbol (never mind the fact that air conditioning hadn't been invented yet!): often such structures were built on lakes or within lovely gardens: the idea was the pre-cursor to today's indoor/outdoor living. This bat is on a 2x2 lot and the glasshouse area and its deck overhang the back of the lot. The lot can be placed on water or land and is slope tolerant. As can be seen in the images, the lot is quite versatile: equally useable with in-game water, canals, ploppable water, ploppable rapids (in case your diners want to view kayakers being dashed upon rocks while enjoying champagne and canapes), hillsides, etc. MMPS can be placed underneath the deck area. The lot is found in the landmark menu and provides CS$$$ jobs. It therefore requires road access, water and power. --------------------------------------- STATS: Lot size: 2x2 Plop Cost: $776 Bulldoze Cost: $40 Pollution at Centre: 1 (air) /1 (water) /4 (garbage) Pollution Radius: 2/3/0 Demand Created: R$ 33, R$$ 22, R$$$ 8 Power Consumed: 1 Mwh Water Consumed: 6 Gallons Occupant Groups: Landmark; CS$$$. --------------------------------------- NOTE ABOUT DARK NITE vs MAXIS NITE: This download contains TWO model files; one for dark nite users and one for the standard Maxis nite. Bonfolk Hosiery Factory by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- This building is inspired by one in Troy, NY. These sorts of monumental and solidly constructed brick factories were common-place in the early 20th Century. While most were torn down from about 1970, some still remain either as abandoned relics or as converted commercial/residential spaces. In SC4, I have made this building house a hosiery factory, which among other things, makes socks. A large neon sign lends a retro vibe to the building. The factory is offered as an I-M growable Anchor and comes in two lot sizes: 5x5 and 3x4 (use the CTRL key when zoning). It is suited to CAM and non-CAM cities alike and provides 354 jobs. Use Buggis extra cheats to make this growable building (and indeed all other growable buildings) available to plop from a drop-down menu. --------------------------------------- STATS I-M: Lot size : 5x5 & 3x4 Growth Stage: 3 (High Density Zoning) Bulldoze Cost: $ 515 Capacity Satisfied: I-M 354 Pollution: 21 (Air)/ 14 (Water)/ 4 (Garbage ) Pollution Radius: 9/13/0 Power Consumed: 22 Mwh Water Consumed: 318 Gal/Month Occupant Group: Industrial Manufacturing Anchor Building --------------------------------------- NOTE ABOUT DARK NITE vs MAXIS NITE: There are two model files in this download. 11. Starting a thread for a project I'm tentatively titling STEAM, aka "The Sands of Time Era-Adaptive Mod " (previously STAMP). What It Is: STEAM is intended as an all-inclusive mod pack that would allow players to develop a 19th century settlement into a modern-day metropolis over the course of 150+ years. The mod will be split into a series of historic periods. Each period will have a unique mix of building styles, reflecting the architecture of the period in question. Additionally, each period will have a unique gameplay experience, reflecting the technological and social developments of the time. How It Works: The basic idea is to create a core set of plugins, which would remain in place for any STEAM city, plus a series of period-specific plugin folders. The core set of plugins would contain all of the models, lots, and props, required for STEAM, as well as a set of core gameplay mods. Meanwhile, the period-specific folders would contain: A) a set of lot blockers, to control which buildings grow during different periods; B) a set of menu blockers, to control which ploppable items and rewards are available to players in each period; C) mods to update automata, props, and textures according to the period in question. The period-specific folders will also include some additional gameplay mods. For example, a mod to reduce road traffic speeds and personal vehicle usage during the horse-and-wagon era, then increase both of these properties after the invention of the automobile. There might be also be mods to adjust the ways cities develop during different periods, such as a mod that widely reduces desirability during the Great Depression. A Quick Note: In a perfect world, this would be something that I could release on the STEX or LEX. That said, I'm expecting a laundry list of dependencies. So this might end up as a purely personal project. But I'm going to proceed with the goal of making this widely available. What's Next: To start, I'm compiling a list of possible models, prop packs, texture packs, and automata mods suitable for the late 19th century. After that, I'll be creating a series of test lots and figuring out the best way to ensure the lots adapt from one era to the next -- specifically, how to update historical props with era-appropriate replacements from one period to the next. I'll also be using this space to sketch out the project in greater detail, including some more information about features I'd like to include, some of the problems that will need to be solved, and a list (or several lists) of assets that need to be compiled and/or created. House 15028R, by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- These are modern R§§ homes that I made for myself based on plans from an American Pattern Book. They are unimaginatively called 15028R but are charming single story houses in the craftsman bungalow style. There really aren't many single story houses in game, so any extras are always welcome in my book. I have also mirrored one house which mimics suburbia. I have made a number of different lot variations: 1x1, 1x2 & 2x2. All of them are growable R§§ on all tilesets. They have similar stats to Maxis homes are suitable for CAM and non-CAM players alike. --------------------------------------- STATS R§§: Lot size : 1x1, 1x2 & 2x2 Growth Stage: 2,3 & 4 (low, medium & high density residential zoning) Bulldoze Cost: § 20 Capacity Satisfied: R§ 20, R§§ 13 Pollution: 1 (Air)/ 1 (Water)/ 4 (Garbage ) Pollution Radius: 5/6/0 Power Consumed: 1 Mwh Water Consumed: 2 Gal/Month Building Style: Houston/Euro/NY/Chicago Occupant Group: Medium Wealth Residential Building --------------------------------------- NOTE ABOUT DARK NITE vs MAXIS NITE: This download contains TWO model files; one for dark nite users (and other night-time darkening mods, such as Gizmos night-mod) and one for the standard Maxis nite. 13. Been looking around for a city simulation that goes back to 1900's to the future and was hoping there a dlc or mod that does the tricks. Is there any? I don't want to use the old SimCity that is out of date on those colors and it look awful.

The Bon Marche, by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- The Bon Marche (or the 'Good Market' / 'Good Deal' depending on how loose your translation is) was a department store chain launched in Seattle, WA. By the time it has been taken over by Macy's in 2005, it had about 50 stores in the North-West of the US. The Bon Marche really had its heyday from the late 1960's - 1990's. Many of the buildings went on to become anchor stores for surrounding mall developments. This building is a retro styled department store that was a similar design to many of their buildings around Washington state. Given they were purpose built spaces, Macy's thankfully didn't bulldoze the structures when they took over the chain and the buildings still stand today. I have provided two CS§§ lots with this download - one is a 4x4 lot that is great for down-town areas and the other is a 6x6 lot more suited to a suburban application. Use the CTRL while zoning to assist growth. Stats, links and dependencies are listed below. --------------------------------------- STATS (CS§§) FOR ALL LOTS: Growth Stage: 1 & 3 (low, medium and high density zones) Bulldoze Cost: § 288 Capacity Satisfied: CS§ 1,553 | CS§§ 391 Pollution: 14 (Air)/ 9 (Water)/ 19 (Garbage ) Pollution Radius: 5/6/0 Power Consumed: 32 Mwh Water Consumed: 376 Gal/Month Building Style: Chicago / NewYork / Houston / Euro Occupant Group: Commercial Services Building --------------------------------------- NOTE ABOUT DARK NITE vs MAXIS NITE: This download contains TWO model files; one for dark nite users (and other night-time darkening mods, such as Gizmos night-mod) and one for the standard Maxis nite. Selby Shoe Factory, by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- So ...... given my 3yr license on 3DS Max 2013 will expire next week, I spent the morning installing 3DS Max 2014 and troubleshooting to get it to work with Bat4Max (there's half a day out of my life I'll never get back, but it is either that or no more BATs!). This is a quick test building to ensure that 3DSMax 2014 works as far as getting content into game: it was too nice to simply leave as a test, and as it's been quite a while since I made any I-M content, I thought I'd share it. This BAT is an early 20th Century shoe factory inspired by the Selby Shoe Company in Ironton, Ohio. It is your typical mid-size, brick manufacturing building that can be found in so many towns and cities all around the world. Today, like so many other manufacturing buildings, this one stands empty. This is presented as an IM anchor building on a 4x4 lot. Use the CTRL key while zoning to assist growth. --------------------------------------- STATS (IM§§): Growth Stage: 3 (high density industrial zone only) Bulldoze Cost: §452 Capacity Satisfied: IM§§ 329 Pollution: 19 (Air)/ 13 (Water)/ 4 (Garbage ) Pollution Radius: 9/13/0 Power Consumed: 20 Mwh Water Consumed: 296 Gal/Month Building Style: N/A Occupant Group: Industrial / IM / Anchor --------------------------------------- NOTE ABOUT DARK NITE vs MAXIS NITE: This download contains TWO model files; one for dark nite users (and other night-time darkening mods, such as Gizmos night-mod) and one for the standard Maxis nite.
