Moin I am opening a thread here. I wanted to know which is the tallest structure in your city / region. The tallest structure in my Mexico region is the 610 meter high Aberdeen Spire. It clearly towers above all other buildings in the city.

DIY Skyscraper Brutalist Style, by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- This download contains 3 modular BAT pieces to allow the end user to build their own functional skyscraper in the lot editor. While there are plenty of modular sets for all sorts of things, to my knowledge, a modular, diagonal, functional skyscraper is a unique offering in the SC4 world. The model is fictional, but representative of the ubiquitous Brutalist Style of skyscraper that dominated the world from the 1950's until about 1980. These sorts of buildings generally did not exceed 30 floors, but some are around 40 to 50 floors. This is the second of a few such DIY Skyscrapers. This BAT can be assembled so as to make any sized building (in 5 and 10 story increments) of between 5 or 10 floors and, in theory, as many floors as you want. There are three pieces rendered out as props that you line up and combine and raise in either the PIM-x or lot editor (CTRL+up arrow key) to build your own skyscraper: *Mattb325_DIY_BrutalistBase (the Lobby and first five floors) *Mattb325_DIY_BrutalistMid (the middle ten floors which you repeat as often as you need) *Mattb325_DIY_BrutalistTop (the upper five floors and roof junk area) To start you off, I have made two fully functional, ploppable lots with jobs in the following sizes: 30 and 40 floors. One lot is designed to be placed along a diagonal road and the other looks good on a corner. The ploppable lots are found in the landmark menu and provide CS$$ jobs (I've used CS$$ as there is always infinite demand in game, and CO demand often ends up negative by using ploppable skyscraper lots). They therefore require road access - the busier the better, water and power. --------------------------------------- Please note that as these are vertical modular pieces, you will see little seams/apparent misalignment/repeated textures at certain zooms. I've corrected it all as much as is possible: it's not super visible unless you go looking for it, but beyond the corrections I've made there's not really anything I can do about how the game stitches FSH files together for its own display purposes. And certainly, for non batters, the benefit of finally being able to make your own skyscrapers should outweigh any small visual seams at the higher zooms. --------------------------------------- As this is released as a DIY set, by all means make and share your own versions of skyscrapers - you don't need to ask my permission - but ensure that you point to this file as a dependency for your creation. These sorts of buildings generally did not exceed 50 -60 floors, but some, such as Chicago's AON Center and the former WTC in New York reached between 80 - 110 stories. This is the first of a few such DIY Skyscrapers. This BAT can be assembled so as to make any sized building (in 5 story increments) of between 10 or 15 floors and, in theory, as many floors as you want. There are three pieces rendered out as props that you line up and combine and raise in either the PIM-x or lot editor (CTRL+up arrow key) to build your own skyscraper: *Mattb325_DIY_IntlStyle_Base (the Lobby and first five floors) *Mattb325_DIY_IntlStyle_Mid (the middle five floors which you repeat as often as you need) *Mattb325_DIY_IntStyle_Top (the upper five floors and roof junk area) To start you off, I have made four fully functional, ploppable lots with jobs of varying sizes: 15, 20, 40 and 50 floors. Vienticinco Condos, by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- These are tall, fictional, twenty-five floor apartments that are typical of new builds targeting the middle class who ant to live close to down-town environments. In keeping with of the modern palette, these are built using moody, monochromatic colour schemes of dark granites, dark tinted glass (which also helps with energy efficiency) and contrasting white concrete construction. Many of the apartments are double-height and all but the studio apartments have balcony spaces: communal facilities such as gym and pool are on the ground floor: resident and guest parking is underground to ensure that the grounds are landscaped. There are a variety of lot sizes provided: 8x8, 5x5, 4x2 and 2x3. These make for a striking high rise, high density apartment complex for 1,300-4,000 R§§ sims that grow on all Tilesets, and with judicial zoning can make for very interesting, homogeneous complexes. This picture shows most of the Maxis tall building landmarks and tall office and residential buildings. The city layout is somewhat of a hybrid of New York, Chicago, and San Francisco, especially Chicago with the placement of the airport. The Transamerica Pyramid and Willis (Sears) towers are my re-lots from user-created BATs. The Willis tower is noticeably a bit out of proportion. -

This will be 4th tallest building in the world in 2020 with 638 meters height The Signature Tower located at the Heart of Jakarta's SCBD (Sudirman Central Business District), to resume previous on Hold Project, This Building 111 floor, soaring 600m tall consist of 6 storey Basement Carpark, 2 office zone of 22 floors each, 22 Storey apartments, and 22 floors Hotels. Architect Smallwood, Reynold, Stewart, Stewart & Associates Inc. The 111-story tower rises 638m above the ground plane to the top of the spire. The highest floor sits approximately 534.45m above the street entry. I Kellydale2003 present to you the Russian-Canadian-Torontonian inspired luxury residentials... Vohcem Condominiums! Vohcem Condominiums on the Lakeshore is a 100% fictional tower inspired by the amazing condos of the South Core of Downtown Toronto located along Lakeshore Boulevard. The tall yet slim structures of Downtown Toronto's South Core house thousands of Toronto residents in their ultra-modern luxury condo suites! The most recent trend in condo markets has been the partial or full rental of the condo suites to local or international hotels... making the Toronto condo market boom even more and inspire more projects like this! When I (Kellydale2003) first thought of building a tower like this I just started with a square, bent the edges, and rotated it slightly to break away from the traditional orientation of buildings in SimCity 4! The treated and inspired glass taught me an important lesson; Focal points can be made from the busy reflective windows. Therefore the yellow, blue, and grey facade was designed as a focal point for the whole tower... giving more culture and architectural interest to the tower. Soaring at a humble 36 stories of 175.4m (120% for SimCity 4) it fits in a comfortable 2x3 (32x48m) lot. The name "Vohcem" comes from the Russian word for the number "eight". As my personal policy always abides... NO dependencies! (: Download the MAXIS NIGHT file if you do not have SimFox's Darknight installed in your plugins! It's the eve of Evestown's (lol) 100th Birthday, and citizens are more than proud! Tonight, the city has been looking especially beautiful... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EngpWglT3p4 Below is Hydrangea Bridge, the result of the population explosion that took place in the mid 80s to late 90s. It's about to get especially busy since citizens want to go downtown and party! Even people in the suburbs are throwing parties! Usually the lights would be out by now on most houses! The city is spectacular and lively tonight! It's 1 AM and people are still driving into downtown from every section of the city! You would be lucky to be living on one of the island suburbs, as the bridges are congested and hectic as people come in from the other suburbs off the island! Hotel rooms are booked and the marina is lit up! A new hotel has opened and tonight is its first night open. Every single room is taken! It is called, "Majestic City Tower", and is the tallest building in Evestown. The people of Evestown are very pleased. It's now daytime, and the celebrations and partying are yet to end! Even the stingy city government has splurged a little bit and decided to reward its well behaved citizens with a new football (soccer) stadium! It's right in the middle of downtown and the city is planning on participating in many more sporting events and putting together official teams! It has both buildings in it and they appear in the Landmarks menu. I've added a new primary screenshot showing them both plopped in the game, a new pic showing them using Maxis Night, and the other new pic shows their menu locations. The remaining two pics are the author's originals. There are no dependencies. Original text: Amaista Zanar Seisten has been reuploaded as a link to a url that contains the files, therefore the actual file is not on STEX. Continuing on, if anybody has been wondering "what the heck happened to Linkartist?!" I was very occupied with THIS. Amaista Zanar Seisten is the second tallest tower that there is on the entire planet. It extends into the sky at the height of 3000 meters and is a wonderful addition to my ever growing Coruscant towers set. You will find this in the landmarks section.
