  1. London Flats 1

    Version 1.0.0

    1,120 Downloads

Finally living up to my username name-sake, here are a set of London-inspired rowhomes based on those found near Victoria Station in the capital of the UK. I plan on creating many more terraces from London as it is my favorite city in the world (despite the nothing-but-French BATs I have been creating). Please excuse the poor lotting. Here are the stats: - Euro Tileset, 1x1 lots - Medium Wealth Residential (stage 4) - Low, Medium & High Density zones - Nightlighted, either MaxisNite or DarkNite* - No dependencies *DarkNite version requires SimFox's DayNNite Mod *This has been tested, however please let me know if you find any issues
  2. Federal Style Row Homes

Federal Style Row Homes (CP Row Homes), by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- These old world, charming, four-story row homes typify the federal style of architecture that reached its height of popularity in the US from 1785-1815. This style of architecture is classical, restrained and dignified: the buildiings celebrate local, simple materials and beautiful, georgian proportions are the hallmarks of this style. In game, these houses are 8m wide mid-wealth homes and these buildings are also very slope tolerant. They grow on a 1x1 or 1x2 lot on the Chicago and New York tilesets only. Like all of my work, these are suited to both CAM and non CAM cities alike. --------------------------------------- STATS R$$: Lot size : 1x1 / 1x2 Growth Stage: 5 (Medium & High Density Zoning) Bulldoze Cost: $170 Capacity Satisfied: R$ 60 R$$ 34 Pollution: 3 (Air)/ 3 (Water)/ 4 (Garbage ) Pollution Radius: 5/6/0 Power Consumed: 1 Mwh Water Consumed: 11 Gal/Month Building Style: New York & Chicago Occupant Group: Medium Wealth Residential Building --------------------------------------- NOTE ABOUT DARK NITE vs MAXIS NITE: This download contains TWO model files; one for dark nite users and one for the standard Maxis nite. LaFayette Square homes, St Louis, by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- These old world, colourful row homes hail from LaFayette Square in St Louis and were made as a request. These are Second Empire styled houses which were popular in the US from about 1865-1900 which borrowed from French Renaissance precedents: so you will see mansard roofing, decorative wrought iron trellis-work, dormer windows and other elaborate facade details. In game, these houses are 8m wide mid-wealth homes and have a number of colour variations in a family so you will get a different combination every time it grows. These buildings are also very slope tolerant. They grow on a 1x1 or 1x2 lot on the Chicago and New York tilesets only. Like all of my work, these are suited to both CAM and non CAM cities alike. Stats below (these are very similar to the Maxis Chicago T/S row-home stats). --------------------------------------- STATS R$$: Lot size : 1x1 / 1x2 Growth Stage: 5 (Medium & High Density Zoning) Bulldoze Cost: $170 Capacity Satisfied: R$ 54 R$$ 32 Pollution: 2 (Air)/ 2 (Water)/ 4 (Garbage ) Pollution Radius: 5/6/0 Power Consumed: 1 Mwh Water Consumed: 8 Gal/Month Building Style: New York & Chicago Occupant Group: Low Wealth Residential Building --------------------------------------- NOTE ABOUT DARK NITE vs MAXIS NITE: This download contains TWO model files; one for dark nite users and one for the standard Maxis nite. 4. Modern Low Wealth Terraces

    Version 1.0.0

    2,190 Downloads

Modern R$ Terraces, by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- Purely fictional, these are new build terrace houses for R§ sims. They are very, very basic, in a shed style to keep construction costs to the barest minimum, but with modern elements to hide how cheap and nasty they are. They work well in a W2W environment or standalone to lend that new, but still depressing, air to your medium density zones. The lot sizes are 1x1 and 1x2. --------------------------------------- STATS R§: Lot size : 1x1 and 1x2 Growth Stage: 4 (Medium & High Density Zoning) Bulldoze Cost: §165 Capacity Satisfied: R§ 25 Pollution: 1 (Air)/ 1 (Water)/ 4 (Garbage ) Pollution Radius: 5/5/0 Power Consumed: 1 Mwh Water Consumed: 1 Gal/Month Building Style: Houston/Euro/NY/Chicago Occupant Group: Low Wealth Residential Building --------------------------------------- NOTE ABOUT DARK NITE vs MAXIS NITE: There are two model files in this download. You must select the appropriate file from the download. The file suffixed with 'DN' is for those users with a night-time darkening mod installed. The file suffixed with 'MN' is for users who do not have any such mods installed. If you are unsure whether you have a night-darkening mod installed, then choose the Maxis night version. If you use the dark nite version, you will need a dark nite mod. 5. Shaklee Terraces (One Front Street)

    Version 1.0

    4,968 Downloads

One Front Street, also known as Shaklee Terraces, is an office skyscraper in the Financial District of San Francisco, California. The 164 m (538 ft), 38-floor tower was completed in 1979. The composition of the façade closely resembles that of the Shell Building by Emil Fahrenkamp, which was built in Berlin in 1931. The Shaklee Corporation was once headquartered in the tower until the company moved to Pleasanton, California in 2000. In 1999-2001 Scient Corporation, a dot-com era consulting firm, had its head office on the upper floors of the building, prior to its move to Market Street. The measurements and size may vary from the original. 2.- The models are not exact replicas of the original building. 3.- This is a work of exploration and experimentation that Diego Del Llano wanted to share with the community of Simtropolis. 6. Darlington (WIP)

Entry 4: Darlington (WIP) For the last couple of months I have been busy with SC4, now I'm winding that down and focusing on Cities Skylines. I rebuilt my plugins/assets folder and trimmed it greatly. Making gigantic cities is murder for my computer so instead I will be building towns and rural areas. Here is the town of Darlington, in this city tile I have spent the last several days focusing on urban development. Soon I will work on the agriculture and farms. Lastly I want to thank gatakos, a Simtropolis member, for inspiring me to pick up Cities Skylines again. {---} 1. The magic of building themes, an entire area of semi-detached buildings can be effortlessly laid down. 2. The Network Extensions mod includes all kinds of new roads. 3. Be that new one-way roads and highways... 4. ...and one tile roads. In the vanilla game the roads take up two tiles. 5. Victorian housing, old but posh. 6. Using the Network Skins mod I can choose the type of trees and lampposts that will appear on roads. Here are TPB's shady trees. 7. Another cool mod of TPB's is the terrain theme mod. I can select a different terrain ingame! 8. This game is nirvana for British users. So many British assets! 9. Nearly all the time spent so far was laying down the RCI. In this stretch of avenue though I focused on the little details. 10. Details such as this mini-park. 11. The rocks are another one of TPB's creations. 12. A good view to the south. 13. I use the Roads United mod to improve the road textures. 14. The best feature of this mod are the cosmetic parking bay demarcations. 15. The complete overview. When finished the entire town will fit into the confines of this picture. I don't want to make a super large city, just something reasonably sized. 16. Find the right colour correction and sunsets become magical. {---} Some time next week I will post another WIP entry, this time it will focus more on agriculture and the countryside surrounding Darlington.
  7. Eden Bay : Kathy Vale Agricola

Like all Eden Bay boroughs, Kathy was first and foremost a farmers' town. It has kept many traces of that ( like the Old Timers' Museum), but also sports some more noticeable features showing how keeping the place green is important for its denizens. The Terraces, for instance, is an ancient quarry that has been repurposed as orchards, where you can come and pick your own bushels of apples in the Fall. The Biolab (part of the AgriCollege) is more specially dedicated to studying trees and has its own little forest. And farms are still a vibrant part of the landscape.
  8. Entry 1: Welcome to Tamboria A new CJ for a new city builder. The truth is that Cities Skylines is the long awaited, possibly mythical, Simcity 5- the one which we all dreamed of for so long. Let's get the show on the road! /// Tamboria is a newly fledging town which is rapidly expanding thanks to its diligent mayor. This is my first ever CS city and it only took three hours to build- mind you I have been following lets plays extremely carefully so I know what kind of mistakes to avoid. The South-west interchange and first access point to drive into Tamboria. Moving a kilometre northwards and we come to the main interchange and second major access point for reaching Tamboria. Crawley Interchange; an important artery in Tamboria's transport network. Gromley Industrial District to the South. Breathe in that lovely soot! Accidents do happen... The power of solar. Thank God there are no nights! Ore mining. One day there will be a mod for massive strip mines and other heavy industry. Putting the modded camera to use. It's easy to find on the Cities Skylines Steam Workshop as it is a very popular mod. If you wondering where I got all the money from for upgrading the highways, well I cheated and used the unlimited money cheat plus the everything unlocked cheat. I have got to say that the modded free roam camera is far more easier to use than the SC2013 one. I love getting up close and personal with the camera. Just wait until the skyscrapers develop- there are going to be some mad pictures, I tell you, mad! I really like this three-lane exit in Crawley Interchange. The graphics aren't quite up to Simcity2013's quality and clarity, however in Cities Skylines favour the darker, dirtier and grittier textures are actually an improvement and give CS that edge. Never shy away from gridded cities- curved grids look beastly. Community gardens. My favourite part of Tamboria is the farmland. Zone some roads with farms and then add modded parks which resemble fields. Right now there are two textures and styles for fields but that will only increase with time. Still it is a massive visual improvement from usual CS farms. Pigs (Three Different Ones). Great clouds by the way! They look photo-realistic. I wonder if weather mods are possible for those clouds are awesome. And now for some (close up) / (ground level) pictures of the highways. The highway walls remind me of that highway in the Matrix Reloaded. It occurred to me that all roads could be lined with fences via upgrades. It would be something similar to highways with sound walls but instead there would be a variety of fences: wood, metal, brick, uniform, grated and so forth... Finally the highways are amazing. My only niggle with them is the lack of longer merging lanes and more shallow exit and entrance angles. /// Stay tuned for the next update this Sunday evening- who knows how much Tamboria will have grown and changed!?!
  9. First City

This is my first test CJ. It is also my first aesthetically pleasing city that I built. As seen from the title, it is a futuristic city I attempted to create. Please give feedback! If I get good comments on this I will proceed to show my main region. This city I built in the Maxis region. And it's called Peterburg (very unoriginal ) I didn't figure out how to change my city's name. I think I'll use outlandish futuristic sounding names next time. Anyway here's a lot of pictures. They might tame much time to load so grab a snack while... No demand mods were used. And none of these images are edited in any way. I'm a purist. Pure sc4 pictures are much better. Whole city by day: And by night: First we're going to visit the low density area in the center. It's actually the first area of my city I built, believe it or not! Now I think of it as the suburbs. The terraces are to the west, downtown in the south, and industrial area in the east. It's a good place to live but it's not the best in the city. Apartments here To the south this district joins up with the downtown. I have two versions of duke mall. Next we go to the west where the terrain becomes hilly and terraces have been built. This area is one of the best communities. I have a library and a soccer (football) field in one of the terraces. This is one of the many vertical farms where all the crops are grown thanks to Petrograd Seed Storage in Russia. The seeds are planted and grown specifically in trusted vertical farms. On the next terrace there is a large indoor park for skateboarders and some apartments to the left. On the highest terrace there is a big church. Another vertical farm and my house are also located here. This is what the whole terraces look like. Next we visit the east-south area where the new suburbs are. This district is in fact just south of the industrial zone. Many people grow gardens here. The industrial district which is north of the suburbs is umm...highly industrialized. Most of the factories here make robots, nanotech,or chemicals. The most vertical farms are also here. This is one of the new neutrino communicators which is a relatively new innovation!Notice the big underground driveways. In spite of all this industrialization, rules and regulations require that the factories keep the air clean. Not all industries obey however. These buildings on the right and left are the so called industrial arcologies which employ a great number of workers. Robots are making a rocket. Why are there so many underground ramps in the industrial zone?Unauthorized vehicles are not permitted to enter here. It is rumored that some of the factories make war stuff for the military. Although the factories themselves have never confirmed this... ...Actually some of the factories have underground areas where military stuff is made. The downtown in the south is the most interesting part of the city. Here are sports stadiums, the main library, and corporations of many companies. The headquarters of New Horizons is located here. This is the central park. Swimming Center This is one of my favorite buildings! Apartments in this area have a landing pad on the roof for UFO's! A little suburb here. Here is a science center and a blimp cargo center.
  10. Holland Park Terraces

    Version 1.0

    13,130 Downloads

Holland Park Terrace, by Mattb325. At the request of a fellow SC4 player, these luxurious terraces fronting London's Holland Park are now available for SC4. This wealthy part of London is famous for its glistening white, wide-fronted and commodious homes. These terraces are a far cry from the slums of the east end, or indeed the nearby mews which once housed servants and stables. Given the multi million pound price tags, most of these terraces are now embassies and consulates. This terrace provides a home for 23 R$$$ sims and is offered as a 1x1 and 1x2 lot for medium and high density zoning. STATS: Bulldoze Cost: $303 Capacity satisfied: R$$$ 23 (R$$ 49, R$ 86 when dilapidated) Pollution at center: 1/1/4 Radius: 6/7/0 Water consumed: 7 Gallons Power Consumed: 3 MwH DEPENDENCIES: (note you must be registered with, and logged into, the LEX to download these) BSC MEGA Prop Pack CP Vol01 (https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=1180) To install, simply unzip the atached file into your plugins folder Thankyou and enjoy
