  1. Hello! It's my first time making a BAT. And I need help...! I have a problem on my BAT. It's not so much... bluish in night...? I attached the photo of night view. The nitelite is working well. But you can see the building is less bluish than other buildings around it. I searched about this on Google. But I couldn't found any results which has similar issues. (If you have any threads or site links regarding how to fix my issue, please let me know!) * I used Gmax for rendering and exporting the .SC4model file.

  3. I'm experiencing a strange problem when using the tree brush feature in god mode. What appear to be rather futuristic looking light poles with circular tops appear in place of some of the tress (see attachment). At least I *think* they're light poles. They don't actually illuminate at night as I'm using the Mac version of the game. I gather a problematic light plugin is causing this issue but I can't figure out which one! Can anyone identify these light poles so I can remove the plugin from my folder?

  6. Hi, I'm getting "doubled" light poles. I tried to play around with the files and folders but seemed can't find the workaround for this. The issue started after I installed LRMv40 Mega Pack while I already have the SMP Highway Light Modd in my plugins folder. Could it be possible that there's a conflict between the two mods?

    Free Light, by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- The idea for this upload came from a post in the "Can't find it, ask here" thread which asked for functional lights that can be freely placed to provide a lit path through fields, forests, highways etc. While there are a couple of similar mods, they tend to use very bright lights and aren't that suited to pedestrian areas. To that end, I have made two 1x1 lots: one with the standard Maxis $$ lamppost (which will change depending on whether you have a light replacement mod) and a HD lamppost with a nifty in-built solar panel from the SHK parking pack. There is no base texture on these lots and they are modded in such a way as to allow MMPs to be placed right up against the lamppost. They are slope tolerant. They are found in the park menu. The lots themselves are completely neutral: $0 to place/maintain and zero effects. However, because both of these lights use the maxis light-cone as part of the illumination, you do need to ensure that there is a power source in your city (note the cheat: "fight the power" won't work with these effects) in order for them to illuminate in night mode. These lights can be placed a maximum of four (4) tiles apart from each other/another powered lot and still illuminate.   8. Lighting is displayed as RGB randomly. I am playing Steam version with needed patching for night lighting. I do not have darknite and am not using any BAT's/Lots darknite versions. What the heck did I do? Please help. Sure this has been discussed previously but I panicked when I realized the amount of topics. Forgive me. Much appreciated. Be Well!
  9. Good morning i've imported this building 3d in the bat tool, but i've problem to put the light inside for the night. When i generate a lot with this building 2x1, the building arrive on the road so i've to use a 2x2 lot, i don't know why when i move the building on the map of lot generator, in the simulation lot (left screen) the building is out of my lot i've gmax lot to exvhange
  10. Hi, I was hoping someone could, um, shed some light on this for me (my sincere apologies)... I haven't done much night lighting before; I am almost exclusively a day player. I did end up putting together a reasonably complex light setup for the winery I made, but that was 10 years ago and I had a lot of guidance. So anyway, I have a lighting problem that I can't figure out (sorry if I'm missing something obvious, I usually am...). So what's happening here is I have a building with lights (3x target spots pointing down at the two tables and the decking/patio/whatever you call it outside, plus 3x omnis inside.) However, for reasons I can't understand, there is light shining on the sculpture on the roof from underneath. (That big blue box isn't part of the scene, it's just there to make a solid distinction between where all the lights are, and where the light is ending up... ). Front view Top view I know omnis are often the culprit in these situations, and so they were the first thing I deleted, and sure enough: I understand light getting through little gaps accidentally left between elements in a scene; but here it seems to have been going straight through (multiple) solid objects. WTF?!? Any help appreciated, cheers.

Dear specialists of BAT, I have some questions about the lighting and animation, 1. lighting, with my limited understanding, the Light is also 2d picture of the model, with some prefixes, the SimCity could recognize them and show those night scenes at the night, It's just like when I was modeling with GMAX, I need to name the night windows with nite prefix, then about the BAT4MAX of 3ds max, Dear simfox probably add those steps into his great script, But I couldn't understand the Light comes from the maxis's lighthouse, it seemed like it could illuminate other Lots and has animate effect, Furthermore, I don't know if it's possible to make Lot lighting just with the 3ds max's self-luminous textures. and also when I discussed with Terring in this thread, I have no idea if it's possible to accomplish that let the model and road light up at the night. 2. About the animation, as far as I knew, there are mamy kinds of animation in maxis, Frankly, this question comes from an idea when I want to model a Old Trafford Stadium, I want to create more realistic soccer playing animation instead of the Maxis's, then i searched and found out many kinds of them, 1), bitmap animation. 2), by adding period lotconfiure properties of prop amd building, such as seasonal tree. 3), 3D animation, looks like by organizing the Anim pages of S3D to make it. 4), REGP animation, I don't know what is it exactly. 5), effectDir animation, also have no clue of this one. Then my question is that where could I get more tutorials or relevant posts about how to create animation? I only knew there is a tools called BAB, it looks like that could only be used with GMAX, so how to do animate props or lots with 3da max? I'm sorry to bother you professional here as below, @rsc204,@mattb325, @Jasoncw, @WolfZe, @Goldman Sachs, you are all I know about this issue, since you had helped me before, but I do hope other experts could also help me with these questions, Please forgive my rudeness due to still a quite Newbie.   12. I have a small problem with the lights. If I use them in the normal way they look good, but if I use them with network skin their light effect doesn't work correctly. But only with pedestrian and bicycle path.
  13. I need a white floodlight that can shoot light 200m into the sky. Is it possible to mod light effects? The vanilla "Flood Light White" (type: Spot, intensity:: 8) shoots light about 80m, as you can see here (from the base up). IRL those base floodlights light up the entire column.
  14. Am I not allowed to add lights to an asset with DummyBuildingAI? I saved the asset w/o the light just fine. Then I placed one prop light, tried to save again and boom, error. Anybody know what's going on here?
  15. Like say you wanted a certain part of your asset to always be illuminated no matter what? For example i'm trying to get the advertisements on the roofs of my taxis to always have light at night but only manage to get them to light up when the car is using it's breaks. The headlights are of course always illuminated but can i get my advertisements to follow?

    San Foca 2.0 After a long break and Besides trying to recover data of cities after my hard drive died I recreated a more modern and realistic version of San Foca. I posted in the forum of AIN several images in the new version of San Foca and generally to Siculia even if you are currently the accomplishment of some cities in Cities Skylines. But now let's see San Foca. Here is the old part of town with a nice high speed railway train station A canal in the city centre The industrial zone of San Foca This is the national monument of the fallen for the fatherland We move in the main street where there is a high speed train station An area where citizens of San Foca live in peacefulness A piece of the Ain Nations embassies The autobahn in San Foca The Sun is setting and the light at night will light up. This scene seems catchy with this music And while the electric lights replace the sunlight here is the autobhan at night The Federal Parliament during thenight The President's House and the Palace of ministries San Foca and the sea Another area where there are embassies with a high speed rail terminal During the night the city becomes magnificent Here is the highway with its tunnel that divides the old with the modern part with its skyscrapers Finally we give a small insight in the financial district of San Foca And with this news bomb, is now closing!   17. Hello all, Not sure if this is the proper forum for this so apologies if it is. I am looking for the light blank tile in the TMIP (Taxiway Marking Improvement Pack). Before when I had it on my other computer it was in the airport menu. I have used it as a filler before. I have AC MEGA textures and AC MEGA props. Am I missing something? They are like both the pictures below, the "lead out" tiles but without the yellow markings. Much appreciated Carl
  18. Hi, I'm new here So I just got my new MacBook and installed Cities Skylines. Its running fine and smoothly, but theres some weird problem with the lights in the game... There are these hexagons around everything that produces light. How do I get rid of them? (I'm aware that Mac's are not particularly made for gaming, I still have another windows computer but I don't always have access to it... It would be nice if CS was playable here )
  19. Description The Expo Line is a Light Rail service in Los Angeles (USA) run by the LA Metro company and is named after the Exposition Boulevard. The line features unique artwork on every station and runs from 7th Street/Metro Central (Downtown LA) to Downtown Santa Monica and was opened in 2012. More info Joak and I decided a while ago to recreate a part of the line. He would make some stations, and I would do one or more trains. The result: Joak: Jefferson, Santa Monica & 7th Street Station. Tim: P3010 Train, Expo Line catenary, wires, rails and textures. The stations and train will be released as soon. I made the other stuff to show what Network Skins will offer in the future. See for yourself! Note: Not all segments/nodes of all networks look as they should.

It is the DT5 from the HOCHBAHN the public transport company in Hamburg, GER http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=768353544 I got some problems with lighting i havn't figured out yet due to the fact its traveling backwards. An the Trailer up front had no Headlights mey anybody have suggestion for that.

  23. Hi all Simtropolians, I would just like to ask some for some advice on how to texture buiding after the After Dark Expansion. I have noticed that my Buildings have a very weird colours after they have been imported to the game, and on Blender they look totally different with the textures on. It happens mostly with yellow (of course) and whites. Therefore, is there any kind of guideline on colour management for texture in Cities Skylines? Any tips, advices, comments, anything that could help will be GREATLY appreciated. Cheers, keep calm and mod on
  24. I've been working on few train assets and I've been having this very annoying issue. No matter which of my custom train assets I use, all of them will have this faint orb of light in exactly the middle of the asset. Does any1 know what its purpose is and is there a way to get rid of it? Usually the orb is inside the model when the model is on normal scale but when scaling way up, like 10x, its outside, attached two screenshots of it. Also, its not just in the asset editor but ingame too.
