  1. Can't find it?... Ask here!

Sorry for spamming this thread, but this is still related to my issue. The so-called 'water bug' turns out to be the problem I was having with Deadwood's mountain trail replacement BUS STOP and BIKE ENABLER LOT. And btw, thanks to @Dead_End for mentioning this. I have absolutely no idea about it until he said it, but after some research here in Simtropolis site I found Cori's solution to it: I somehow understand how she does it, but if I'm not mistaken, the trick didn't seem to provide a permanent fix. Anyhow, I think that concludes my quest for a solution, since I have other lots with no overlay texture or base texture such as PEG's MTP Mountain Trail Recreation lot that also behave that way.

Hi, @gwada971! That instruction was for a different kind of issue though, where the entire pedmall mountain trail replacement set isn't showing. The problem I had is this one: Hi, @Dead_End! You know what, I found this a few days ago since I posted my question here. I think I'd try this 'red asphalt' bike paths and see if there's a BUS STOP lot and if the transparency will work fine or the 'water bug' won't show up anymore. I'm really obsessed with these 'bike paths' since they look more realistic than the plain open pedmalls. Thanks! =)

Hmm... But is there any way to fix it or will this require a lot editor to add the missing texture?
  4. Can't find it?... Ask here!

Hi, I'm sorry but that's not the bus lot I'm having issues with. This one: I have all the dependencies needed (including the other deadwood's bus stop you suggested). The paths are okay, but I'm still getting an empty texture on the bus and bike peds lot of this mod. =(

Hi, can anyone tell which texture am I missing here? This is a bus stop lot that came with deadwoods' bike path. I've been using it for ages and this bothers me for a long time now.
  6. Need Help: Game Crashing When Playing a City

That's reassuring I have to confess something. I must have messed up some values when I tried editing some of the CS$ and CS$$ lots on my Plugins. Initially, when I started to have CTD issues, one of my suspicions about what might have caused it is that I made some mistakes removing or adding values on some of the lots. I made sure I marked those files. I should re-focus my investigation and testing on those files. I already made some attempts to remove what I suspect is a problematic file, but doesn't seem to cause the problem. I must do this again by batches and be very tedious like what I did with my previous experience with CTD upon loading a city. Funny thing is, I've never experienced CTD until I decided to declutter and rearrange files and folders on my plugins. But yeah, I have a backup and found an older copy of the city and will try to load and run this one. I'm learning a lot and I should be more careful, especially when modifying the files.
  7. Need Help: Game Crashing When Playing a City

As far as what I did in my Plugins, there were a ton of changes, including re-arranging the folders, adding more new lots and dependencies, and, of course, upgrading to NAM 43. I didn't make that many changes in the city because it has seemed reached its growth limit and I only run it to manage neighbor deals and update neighbor commute. I'm using the in-game Airport. The reason I blew it is because I thought I made a mistake during the NAM setup when I learned that the airport capacity is set to 'medium' vs with what I used to have in the city which is a Maxis default. The airport upgraded organically (large international airport) as the usage increased, thus causing the game to be unstable. I mentioned at the beginning of this thread that the older and the last working backup isn't working even with the previously working NAM version 42. So, maybe it's time to start from scratch.
  8. About a week ago, I shared a problem on NAM General Support with CTD when loading a city. I got the issue fixed by manually applying the 4Gb patch to the executable file of the game. However, there was one city of mine that I couldn't really play, even though it loads up just fine. The only way I can hold the city and the game running is to quickly pause the simulation once the city is loaded. But once I click the play simulation, the game stays for a few seconds then crashes. I got this very interesting log: Luckily, I still have a copy of the city (.sc4 file) and tried to load it using my existing NAM 43. It, too, crashes. Tried to demolish the airport but to no avail. I also tried to move a few steps backward by removing NAM 43 and reinstalling the previous NAM 42, which basically put me back where the last time the game was still working fine, but still not working, still crashing. This city I'm having issues with has about 400k residential population so it's quite big of a file, too, about 45 Mb. My question is, could it be possible to pinpoint the cause of the problem or both files have been corrupted and could never be recovered?
  9. NAM General Support

All I know is that I've transitioned from version 32, 39, 40, 41, 42, and 43. I encountered absolutely no issues using the new one until one day, I can't load my cities anymore. I would able to load a blank city except when NAM is installed. So, naturally, I would think I messed my computer or something. Anyway, it's all resolved now and I'm back to the game.
  10. NAM General Support

@Lazarou Monkey Terror Yeah, try to remove everything, run the NetworkAddonMod_Setup_Version43.bat file, MANUALLY PATCH SimCity4.exe on your program files folder. It should work bud.
  11. NAM General Support

JUST IN. It's now working. After patching the SimCity4.exe file outside the "apps" folder. I've NEVER done this and I do not recall doing this before, either from the old or newer version of NAM. I've been using NAM since version 32 and this was my first time ever to had an issue. But yeah, I can now load up a blank city with NAM so I'm sure it should work with my existing city. What I can only share to those people out there having the same issue is that I was having an issue with my Windows update and ran some tweaks for it. I still don't know what did I miss.
  12. NAM General Support

I tried again to manually applying the patch 4gb_Patch to SimCity 4.exe found on C:\Program Files (x86)\Maxis\SimCity 4 Deluxe\Apps. Still crashing.
  13. NAM General Support

Yes and yes. I even loaded up all plugins EXCEPT NAM, open up a new, blank city, it worked fine. I know there should be no conflicts within my plugins folder since they all worked fine without NAM. What I do remember is aside from adding and modifying some lots through reader (adjusting capacity, wealth etc.) and installing cleanitol that says NAM version (I downloaded and installed cleanitol several times in the past and never had an issue), I ran a "Reset Windows Update Tool" from a third-party website recommended in Microsoft Community page. So how can I get this running again? Should I again remove NAM folder, apply the patch manually?
  14. NAM General Support

That's how I determined what causing the problem. Maybe something's wrong with my OS?
  15. NAM General Support

In my case, I have it there.
