Kori [Fox and Tanuki] Compilation Re-Instanced
kaimai posted a file in Found Custom Contents's Japanese Sites
Version 1.0.0
72 Downloads
This archive contains as many of the files of prominent Japanese modder Kori (Fox and Tanuki), active from 2004 to 2012 on both SimCity Force and Hide and Seek, as I could locate. Kori's models include three sets of Japanese-style rural houses, a series of public housing apartments (danchi), a large number of civic buildings, seasonal rice fields, temples, a set of historic shops and more. Some of the models are in high definition. Many of these buildings were originally modded to overwrite Maxis lots. I have reassigned all of these new unique TGIs so that they can be used alongside Maxis content and are also easier to find in the buildingplop menu. I have not otherwise modified the lots and only changed the names of building and lot exemplars, and don't know if they need to be otherwise edited (e.g. with new stats, etc). These files may eventually be restored in a more official form but hopefully these can be used until that happens. Screenshots do not show every possible combination of building/prop families or seasonal props. The archives separate Kori's works posted on SimCity Force from those posted on Hide and Seek for reasons of upload constraints.- 1 Review

Update: Aoki Area - Saitama Prefecture Today I am happy to share with you an update about the beautiful town of Aoki. With a population of around 60,000 people, Aoki is a small, old residential area that is part of the Saitama metropolitan area. Aoki is located very close to Cape Futtsu, a place we visited in previous updates. It is a quiet, mostly residential area populated mainly by elderly people. As always, the most common way to reach these towns is either by train or by road. In the case of Aoki, we have a line that ends here, as well as a regional road that crosses the area. The train line crosses the town of Aoki from north to south, dividing it into two areas. The space between the mountains and the sea is limited. But the inhabitants live normally despite the constant sound of the train. Aoki is a quiet place, a residential area away from the hustle and bustle of the big city. Due to its location, several train lines end in this area. One of them can be seen in the following images. It is an old train workshop that is still in operation today. These train workshops can be seen throughout the country. Given the large number of trains and rail tracks built across the country, it is absolutely necessary and vital to have these workshops where trains can be properly maintained. Another train line ends in the southern part of Aoki. This area was built to “park” trains whenever necessary. In addition, right at the end of the line, we can find a small freight station that provides this area with any necessary resource. Aoki is mainly a fairly old residential area. It is a typical area built after the war when the prefecture experienced its greatest growth but lacked habitable areas near the city center. Here you can see the typical residential blocks that were quick and easy to build. Aoki is divided into two different areas. One area is located within Saitama Bay, and the other is located just behind the mountain that divides the city. In this image, we can see the least populated area of Aoki, where the density of houses is lower. This is because this part of Aoki is directly “exposed” to the sea and is therefore not as densely populated. To protect residents from potential natural disasters originating from the sea. Barriers have been erected and vegetation planted to prevent sea level rise from affecting the population. This is one of the least modern areas in the prefecture. In addition, its inhabitants are mostly elderly and retired. People who have lived most of their lives away from the central areas of the prefecture. Aoki is a fantastic place to live peacefully, far from the noise and fast pace of everyday life in urban centers. Futtsu Cape and all its war-related monuments, as well as Yasaka Island Shrine, are located nearby. Therefore, Aoki is a good area to stay for a couple of nights to visit the area and its monuments. Once again, thank you for your visit, comments, and reactions. I hope you like Aoki and enjoy your stay ############################################################################## Greetings / Saludos / Groeten

An 8-story fictional Lego store, inspired by buildings in Tokyo in general. This fictional Lego store has the first three floors as store, the next four as a Legoland experience, and top floor cafe and dining. Has full nightlights. I'm sure the ventilation is terrible in this building though. This is basically a special Christmas release for me, as I wanted to get this done before a winter break. Contains a 2x2 CS$$8 building and a 2x2 Plop. Dependencies: None! Enjoy.- 1 Comment

Update: Yasaka Island Shrine - Saitama Prefecture Welcome, everyone. My name is Akiko, and I will be your guide today. I hope you enjoy this short tour of the beautiful Yasaka island Shrine. Today we find ourselves in the beautiful and peaceful village of Jokoji. Located in the southeastern part of Saitama Prefecture, very close to Cape Futtsu. We are now at the meeting point, next to the tourist information booth in the complex's parking lot. Our tour will begin as soon as we pass through the small red Torii gate. Here is a general view where you can see the starting point (the Torii gate), the bridge, and the island where the Yasaka Shrine or Castle is located. As you can see, the shrine is located on a small island in the middle of a small natural lake next to the Seto Inland Sea. It is not known exactly when it was built, but we can say, based on its style, that it was between the 15th and 17th centuries, coinciding with the feudal period and the era of the samurai. It is possible to walk around the entire lake. There are trails available for visitors, and on calm days, you can see the Yasaka Shrine perfectly. It is important to mention that the trails may be closed if the sea and waves are dangerous for visitors. Please remember that we are in a natural area protected by the authorities. Several species of fish and birds, among others, live here, and we must all take care of this wonderful place. The footbridge we are crossing is not the original one. This bridge was built in recent years to prepare the area for visitors. There was an old stone bridge. Only a few remains of this stone bridge were left. It is believed that when the castle was built, small boats were used to cross from one bank to the other. Was it always a Shrine? The answer is no. Its construction is of the castle/fortress type, and that was its main function during the period in which it was built. Later, the place was designated a sacred site, and the castle was converted into a sanctuary. At that time, the already mentioned torii gate was also erected. At night, it is a magical place, where the reflections of the lights on the lake create a special scene for everyone. The lights are usually either red or white. However, on certain special dates, the decorations may change. To finish, We leave you all with a beautiful postcard of the place. Where you can see the lake, the island with the Shrine, and the small and picturesque Jokoji Village. ############################################################################## Greetings / Saludos / Groeten

Futtsu Cape & Motosu battery 4
Ke|is posted a City Journal entry in Saitama Prefecture - The Port of Japan
- Update: Futtsu Cape & Motosu battery 4 - Saitama Prefecture Introduction: Welcome everyone to the first update for version 2.0 of Saitama Prefecture. I can't believe it, but I'm very happy to be able to publish a new update in the year 2025. It's incredible how much this game continues to offer. Thank you all for taking the time to read this update and I really hope you like it. In today's update, we will focus on visiting Cape Futtsu with its World War II monument and its surroundings, where we can find one of the batteries that protect Sakai Bay. Futtsu Cape could be described as the gateway to Sakai Bay. It is a sandy spit created by nature over several centuries. Over the years, it has witnessed the history of Saitama Prefecture, from its discovery and founding to becoming the gateway to one of Japan's largest ports. At the end of the cape, there is now a small monument to those who died during World War II. Due to its port and its location close to other Japanese cities, the metropolitan area of Sakai was bombed on several occasions. This small monument symbolizes and commemorates the victims of those sad and difficult years. In this area, we can also find another building of interest, the Motosu 4, It is a fort or battery that forms part of a line of forts located on both sides of Sakai Bay. There are six forts in total. All of them are in good condition today and can be visited by tourists or anyone interested in learning a little more about the modern history of the city. Generally, they are all composed of military guns to protect the entrance and waters of Sakai Bay. It is important to note that one of the country's naval bases is located in the port of Sakai. Beyond its historical and military interest, it is a wonderful place to enjoy views of the southern part of the bay. This area is sparsely populated because we are in a region where the forces of nature can strike with great force. Here are a few houses taking advantage of the last few meters offered by the natural barrier of Sakai Bay itself. On the other side is the Seto Sea, an area where hardly anyone lives due to various natural hazards. A weather station has been built in this area, which is the southernmost part of the region. There are several stations throughout the prefecture. These stations are very important for the region's interests, as the Port of Saitama and its airport, both located in the bay itself, are indispensable engines for the functioning and success of the Prefecture. To conclude, here is a current view of the area, where rain and generally cloudy skies are reported. ############################################################################## Greetings / Saludos / Groeten- 11 Comments

This SC4 Legacy Pack features the complete set of the Moonlinght Japan Canals Collection, including Props and Lots, which had been available his website. Please note that this pack is expected to receive updates in the near future. Do not redistribute without asking first, mostly as doing so would complicate efforts to properly maintain, update, and provide technical support for the pack. INSTALLATION: This package utilizes a Java-based installer (similar to the one used with the Network Addon Mod), and can also be opened and installed manually using 7-Zip or Keka. To install it, you'll either need the Java Runtime Environment to run the installer--Adoptium's open-source edition is recommended--or a zip tool capable of opening the installer to allow manual installation. For Windows/Linux, use 7-zip, and for macOS, use Keka. Once into the installer, after agreeing to the terms for the package, click to the Files tab to select which dependencies you wish to install (making no changes here will install everything). Then, click to the Location tab to set up an installation location (this should be the root of your My DocumentsSimCity 4Plugins folder). After this, click over to the Install tab, and click "Start installation" to begin the installation procedure. When installation is complete, the tab pop up a message indicating it, after which you are safe to close the installer. It is highly recommended to run the cleanitol with the installer and remove any previous versions from your plugins. Optionally in the ~Documents folder in the main ZIP you can find a collective/master and separately all the individual cleanitol files and by using either the newer nos.17's SC4 Cleanitol or the older BSC Cleanitol tool you can search and remove old and outdated versions of these files. Bear in mind that this Collection contains Prop packs only available with this upload. Those prop packs can be used and referenced by other contents may not part of this collection as dependencies. If a 3rd party upload references one of the prop packs available in this Collection, you don't need to install everything, you can select and install only the referenced prop pack. All prop packs (and the lot packs as well) have individual cleanitol files (besides the Cleanitol_MASTER REMOVE LIST_Moonlight_Canals_Collection.txt) and they have Prop Catalogue index images as a help for lotters. DLL DEPENDENCIES: In order for the contents of this package to display correctly by taking advantage of the new DLL Mods requires the complete installation of the following dependencies (the below listed dependencies are covering a full install): Submenus DLL - You need it to get the package submenu working. Compatible only with the digital version (1.1.641) of SimCity 4 (Microsoft Windows and Linux only). DEPENDENCIES: The following files are required in order for the contents of this package to appear correctly and they work correctly (i.e., no "brown boxes" or missing textures) (Bear in mind that the original readmes are also available in the ~Documents/Moonlight folder, but they have not been updated): SC4D LEX Legacy - BSC Common Dependencies Pack v9 (and above) The below listed dependencies are all can be found in the hereby linked dependency pack compilation BSC MEGA Props Gascooker Vol01 v2 BSC MEGA Props CP Vol01 BSC MEGA Props swi21 Vol01 4 Network Addon Mod V48 (and above) The below listed dependencies are all can be found in the hereby linked dependency pack compilation. Canal Addon Mod (CAN-AM) SFBT Essentials JENX-Porkie Expanded Porkie Props CREDITS: The following members contributed models, textures, and modding support to this collection: Moonlight Mas 71 Tadasu Nemu This package has been made possible by the Project ZIP efforts of Tyberius06 and Ulisse Wolf. Special Thanks Webmaster & administration staff at SC4 Devotion & Simtropolis (STEX) And possibly others who may not have been mentioned. If your name has been forgotten or you're not on the list, then drop us a line, as it has been difficult to keep track of anyone/everyone that may of helped somewhere along the lines. And to the community itself, we would also like to thank you for your support, making mods such as this possible too. We're still at it after 20 years thanks to you! And last but not least, a thanks for the Maxis individuals too, for the [paid] work that they did. ;-) -

I've been working on this project sparsely for the past 2 or 3 years, redoing every pieces once in the process since they had rendering errors. This is a set of Shotengai, a kind of commercial street that typical of Japan found in just about every city. They vary in form from an open street, to a covered street and even some big mall-like exemples. Often liking residential areas to train stations or landmarks, temples etc. They vary in design from a very simple canopy to a more elaborate recognizable style. They have existed from before the middle ages but really grew to what is known today around the Showa era. Nowadays, thanks to rural exodus, a lot of Shotengai in small towns are in state of disrepair with paint rusting away and covers falling. Larger towns and cities shotengai tend to be better kept and some have even grown in size to be comparable to a 1 story linear mall. To goal of this set was not to create every different shotengai in existence but more to allow me to have a few variations to put in my cities in order to make them even more realistic. This isn't the first time such a type of street is created in the game, but I thought the previous exemples were too big and not really suited for what I had in mind. Included are 3 different types of pieces: 5 Entrances, 3 straight Covers and 3 Rotundas. Entrances are modeled after real life counterparts, with artistic liberties to make it suit the game style: Takaoka Otaya-dori in Takaoka, Toyama Prefecture Izumo Nakamachi in Izumo, Shimane Prefecture Senbayashi in Osaka, Osaka Prefecture Motomachi in Kobe, Hyogo prefecture Tenjinbashi in Osaka, Osaka Prefecture Covers come in three styles: a generic red cover that was modeled after Takaoka Otayha-dori but fits the other styles well A specific cover for Izumo Nakamachi A specific cover for Osaka Senbayashi Rotundas follow the same idea as the covers. The covers are straight pieces 8m in length and almost 16m wide. The set contains 11 lots located at the top of the park menu. Despite my modding, which worked at first, I was not able to keep them in the correct order. BIG thanks to Tibi @Tyberius06 for helping me with the modding side, and @mattb325 for the original Pedestrian TE tutorial. The lots are TE enabled for pedestrian access. Upon placing them in your cities, commercial buildings will grow along them. HOWEVER, we were not able to make it so the sims paths actually go through the lots. Therefore this is more of an eye candy piece rather than a functional set. Also, unfortunately no residential zone can grow along them. There are no dependencies and the texture on the lots is the standard maxis pavement. Support, info about my bats and incoming works in my thread: -

Another week, another map, this time it's Tokyo-Yokohama-Chiba, Japan (for SimCity 4). The Greater Tokyo Area is the largest metropolitan area in Japan. It is home to 38 million people and also serves as the nation's capital. The map is 28 x 24 large city tiles and is accurately scaled based on DEM data. It generally stretches from Hachioji to Narita and Miura to Saitama. It encompasses all of Tokyo, Yokohama, Chiba, Kawasaki and Funabashi. Hi All, I'm not sure if the resources under this useful thread have been moved and do exist somewhere or not... So if I'm raising a false alarm, do forgive me. But the fact remains that virtually none of the links provided in the opening post of this topic work anymore... I think it is time to restore these resources as a lot of Japanese SC projects are really impressive and it would be terrible to see them burried in the sands of time. -
Hiroshima Prefecture [広島県] | Discussion thread and projects
Ke|is posted a topic in SC4 City Journals
~ Welcome everyone to Hiroshima Prefecture. Here you will discover japan like never before ~ Hiroshima Prefecture (広島県 Hiroshima-ken) is a prefecture of Japan located in the Chūgoku region of Honshu. Hiroshima has a population of around 2,377,631 and has a geographic area of 6,112 km2 (2,359 sq mi). Hiroshima Prefecture borders Okayama Prefecture and Yamaguchi Prefecture. Hiroshima is the capital and the largest city of Hiroshima Prefecture, with other major cities including Kure, Hatsukaichi, Higashihiroshima, etc... Hiroshima Prefecture is located at the western tip of Honshu with coastlines on Seto Inland Sea. It is important to state and confirm that this project is not a recreation of the real Hiroshima region. I am simply taking the map and the names of the real region, as well as using the real city as a blueprint and as inspiration for my own creation. But this is not a recreation. In the images above you can see two maps, the first is the real area from which I have taken my inspiration, the second is the final map I am using in the game. As you can see, I have made some modifications in the terrain, I have added some islands, some more coastal areas, I have modified some angles, etc...But in general terms we can say that the map remains quite faithful to reality, although it is very possible that it will be modified little by little using the tools of the game to adjust it as much as possible to my plans. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Information of interest: - A metropolis surrounded by nature: The city and prefectural capital is a vibrant metropolis with more than a million inhabitants where nature, modernity and antiquity live side by side. The region has a young and modern culture that respects and strongly remembers its past. Religion is important and there are many temples scattered throughout the area which we will gradually visit and get to know. The city has a modern transport system, skyscrapers, ports and international airports, and is a metropolis surrounded by sea and mountains. - Economy: The city has an economy based largely on the sea, its industrial ports and the movement of goods around the world make this region an economically positive place. Tourism, business, and Japanese culture are an added bonus that make this region a place with a more than assured future. In recent years, the regional government has made great efforts to bring the region up to the standards of Japan's major cities and regions. - Urban planning and architecture: Large residential areas cover most of the prefecture's land. In fact, the whole region is connected by different villages and towns in which residential houses predominate. The region is heavily populated by old Japanese style houses, made of wood and mostly coloured in different colours. This is one of the characteristics and signs of this region. If you go to the centre of the prefectural capital, you will find modern skyscrapers and department stores. The region does not have any super skyscrapers at the moment, although there are plans to build some in the future. - A Religious Culture: Shinto is a religion originating in Japan, sometimes considered the indigenous religion of Japan. Along with Buddhism, it is one of the country's two main religions. The region is full of temples and shrines dedicated to these religions. Little by little we will visit and get to know all of them to discover this interesting culture which has motivated the construction of marvellous places all around the Prefecture. - Tourism: Prefecture's tourism focuses mainly on the region's temples and shrines. The Prefecture is visited to enjoy these unique places, such as Hiroshima Castle or Itsukushima Shrine located on an island in the prefecture's bay. In general, most tourists visit the region for a couple of days, usually including the Prefecture as a stopover on their travels around Japan. Currently, tourism in the region is not comparable to that of cities such as Tokyo or Osaka, but the local government is making great efforts to change this and put Hiroshima in a higher place. - Transport: The favourite word of Hiroshima's inhabitants is TRAIN ! The train is the biggest and most efficient transport in the region. You can practically go anywhere using the train. We will gradually get to know all the trains and models running around the Prefecture. The list is very long ! In addition, the city has two airports, a large number of ports, ferries, an excellent Highway system, two bullet train or shinkansen stations, last but not least, the region is also connected by an excellent bus system. - Ports and maritime economy: The region's economy is based on the transport of goods by sea, and its ports are the fuel of this economy. The entire coastline of the Prefecture is full of industrial ports. There are large areas of land reclaimed from the sea dedicated to port areas and there are already plans and future projects to build new ports in the region. Among the ports we can find container areas, gas and fuel ports, ports dedicated to the export of vehicles, as well as a large number of small ports dedicated to food and fishing. - Airports and international connections: The region has two airports, one for local use and one international airport built on an area reclaimed from the sea. Ana airlines and Japan airlines are the main airlines of the prefecture and the country. ANA airlines has one of its headquarters in the region as well. The International Airport is fully equipped to handle flights from all over the world. The city also has a small airport used to handle local flights, which is located in a densely populated area on Hiroshima Bay. Little by little we will learn much more about these airports and their management. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Additional information: The reason for this thread is the following. I would really like to build this region with all of you. It means, I would like to discuss with you about certain points, projects, share with you ideas about future projects, ask for your opinions and ideas, etc... I will try to share with you all kind of different things, such as the construction of the new airport, the main train station, transport planes, new port areas and hundreds of other things... I hope you like this project and you enjoy playing this game as much as I do. Thank you so much for your time. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ City journal section list of updates: Currently no updates available* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ • Visit Hiroshima Prefecture and lose yourself in my own vision of Japan. Another week, another map! This time it's Okinawa, Japan (for SimCity 4). The map is 28 x 20 large city tiles and is accurately scaled based on DEM data. In order to install the map you will need wouanagaine's mapper or terraformer as the file is in SC4M format. I hope you can put this map to good use, enjoy! -TCC Maps released weekly on Tuesdays or Wednesdays (US, Pacific time), View My Full Map Catalogue Here:- 2 Reviews

DESCRIPTION This is the Series 0 Shinkansen pack. Making it's debut in 1964 at the opening of the Tōkaidō Shinkansen, the Series 0 helped establish Japan's first high-speed rail line as one of the finest, and heavily used in the world. Contained within this download are 2 Heavy Rail passenger train sets, and 1 High-speed Rail passenger train set. Each set is a single DAT that contains 1-2 Locomotives, and 4 coaches, all sets have HD textures and nightlighting. The two Heavy Rail sets are based on the units used on the Hikari and Kodama services, with distinctive liveries. The single HSR set is based on the final appearance of the Series 0 sets, with minor visual differences around the pantographs. INSTALLATION Drag one Rail and/or the HSR folder into your plugins folder. To uninstall, simply remove the same folder(s). COMPATIBILITY Each DAT contains replacements for the vanilla Maxis automata, and three ADDitional coaches. The Hikari heavy Rail set contains an ADDitional locomotive. It is recommended to only use one set of automata at a time. Whilst these sets have unique IIDs and can be used together and with other passenger automata, it is not recommended. The HSR set is a Monorail REPlacement. Whilst it will work on the base Monorail network, visually it is best used on the HSR or Hybrid Rail systems added by the NAM. Please use Hardware rendering mode when using these automata. DEPENDENCIES This mod has no dependencies.- 2 Reviews
