Update 2: Koningstad
Hello and welcome to the King's City, Koningstad. To begin I'm going to show off some general maps of Laagvlatke. First is the three communities of Laagvlatke, Laag (south), Vlatke (west), and Palanzia (east). A cities map, highlighting the main cities. Middenstad is the largest city, followed by Altstad and Noordstad. Of the above cities, Koningstad is the smallest. Highways Map of Laagvlatke. Talking of Highways, Along the coast is the beginning of the A12, right off the B636. Followed soon by Exit 1, the A12 exit for Koningstad, a Dumbell interchange. About a mile up the road is the A12/A8 Interchange (A8 goes top/bottom in this pic) just Northwest of the city. Here we'll take Exit 2 onto the roundabout and take it to the A8 West ramp (it's going south at this point but because the road goes E/W for most of it's length). Getting off at the A8 Koningstad Exit, we go left into downtown where we spot St. Barend's Church and the adjoining Cemetery. St. Barend's Church, built in 1579. Going slightly north, we see Spoorweg Winkelcentrum, built in 1967, it is the largest shopping center in Southeast Laag. Further up the road we see the voorgevel straat overpass, which is used by the Grote Prijs van Koningstad as one of the signature corners, Haarspeld. Koningstad Spoor het station, further along Voorgevel Straat. Tunnelbeheerder Straat, which goes under the Laag Communautair Spoorwegsysteem's Southeast A-Line. Just past the Tunnelbeheerder Straat is Koninklijke Stadion, home of KV Van Geleiders. And into the town center, we see a Zeester Fuel Station. Currently 4.98 Geld for Regular Gasoline. And home of King Thorbe, PM Tijani van Weenen, and the Wetgevendemacht, is Hoofdstad Tuin. Back along the other side of the A12 is the training center of KV Van Geleiders. Now out in the country, we come across some farms on Zee Weg and B636 And then the interchange where Zee Weg leaves the waterfront. And a nice Farm shot I liked... Unfinished pic because I can't get into LE and modify a lot into a grandstand which i'd put in along this site :\ Thanks for viewin ya'll -

Tokyo, Japan - 1965
ENTRY TWO TOKYO, JAPAN 1965 (Showa-40) The mid/late-1960s in Japan are usually referred to as the 'Golden Sixties', representing the continuation of an great economic growth which had started in the 50s. Japan had rebuilt its cities, industry, infrastructure, and technology with astounding speed after the Pacific War. The year before, the Summer Olympics were held in Tokyo, bringing Japan into the international limelight once again. Electric billboards and mid-rise offices spawned by new business and commercialization are beginning their early stages in these years, as you can see. A small retail district with a few apartment buildings. A large view of the business district. The new highway was built to accommodate the tourists of the Olympic Games. (Click the image to enlarge) The business district at night. Another small retail area, a few electric signs light up at night. -

Marcopolis and Mezaton Alpha After
My experiment proved myself wrong. I was able to exceed 200,000 Sims in a medium sized city with the CAM and no custom large buildings. My Sims were partially employed in the city but were mostly employed by Industria to the South and Marcopolis to the East. In order to build it up, I needed to build subway lines from Marcopolis to Mezaton, build more train stations, build a large high school and a library in the newest residential district (formerly commercial and an airport, I moved the airport to Marcopolis next door), build a few parks, and cover the city with as much God Mode trees as possible. Total cheats: CAM demand, weaknesspays 16 times over region, segregation exploit Marcopolis day: Marcopolis night: Mezaton Alpha day: Mezaton Alpha night: Total Residential population: 207,120 - 5

Sorry for the long hiatus, i had my busy days...so let i continue, then Izuna Kamui International Airport Expansion - Phase One contents : - Expansion of the 3000 meter runway into 3400 meters and construction of additional taxiways. - Construction of a new modern terminal, Cargo facility and Maintenance Hangars & Control Tower - Installation of new VOR, Approach Lights. Airport Overview. It was in the mid-2000s when the terminal re-opened. Before the re-opening, travelers used the nearby Nagi Airfield (later became the Air Force base when the new airport opened). The International Wing. Mostly Asian carriers are serving the airport with connections to various points in the world. The Domestic Wing. Serving to other cities of the country. New Cargo Facility and Maintenance Hangars. Near the airport is a beach area and a park. Beachgoers would watch planes take-off and land here, I wish i could planespot around there. (This area may be gone when phase two materializes). - First project finished. Tune in for the next one! - 2

The Star Press: Week of 9 April 2012
Alexandria Schools add Civil Engineering program Public school in Alexandria, Daynemark have extensively been adding new programs to make the city more appealing to migrants from other countries and to the Daynes living throughout Daynemark. The schools of Alexandria have been overhauling since the public school rating dropped from three to one and a half stars from last year's review. The schools have actually been cutting back the last few years instead of pushing forward like many Daynish cities in the area have been. Portia, a suburb north of Alexandria, has one of the best school districts in the country with eighty-seven percent of the class of 2011 graduating. The Civil Engineering program is put together by five local architectural and civil engineering companies and two national companies; Linkin Architects and Phillip Engineers. The program plans to recruit about fifteen students in the first year and have about thity-five by the next school year. In the program you will learn many civil engineering techniques hands on. The program has decided that there will be about seven field trips to places like Aidel, Portia, and the University of Southern Daynemark. -

Asumi Downtown
And here I am, back again: as you can see i'm veeeeeery slow with this CJ! Today we'll visit one of the main CBD of the city: Asumi Downtown. Replies: @Hellken: @JGellock, atsummerlin53: yeah, you have a point, since those entries were actually the first i've built month ago the quality isn't the best. i'll @ee99, Retep Molinari, TowerDude, 10000000000000, Benedict: Thanks! While following Tomatsu Line from Makino District we arrive at Asumi Downtown Station where Tomatsu Line, Saito Line and the circular Belt Line interchange. On the left Kazeoka Hill with its temples and shrines, on the upper left corner Makino District and on the upper right corner East Asumi, on the lower right corner Inoue District and Hirohashi Tower. In the center of the picture the highrises full of offices of the downtown. (click for full resoluton) Urban canyons and glass skyscrapers: Asumi Downtown it's the typical landscape that tourist magazines use to describe the modern "Hong Kong of the North" Asumi Downtown station is one of the busiest station in the country, from here you can interchange with Tomatsu Line (color Orange, tracks number 1 and 2), Belt Line (color Green, tracks 3 and 4) and Saito Line (color blue, tracks 5 and 6). The current design of the station and the plaza were part of a renewal plan in 1999. Although Hirohashi is a city with few cars roads in the downtown can be very busy: that's why may elevated or undeground crossing points are present. Among the companies that have their headqarters in Asumi Downtown there are philipino Talavera Insurance and hHirohashite Asian Mobile Voice (AMV). You can see their office in this picture Towers with many differents shapes mirror themself in the cold waters of the river Just behind the station starts Kazeoka Hill. since laws forbid to built highrises on elevated terrains the foot of the hill are full of small residential houses. Built in the very center of the state those house, although small, are very epensive and the residents are mostly CEOs of the nearby companies. In this pic you can see the western outskirts of the district and parts of our next entry: Horie District. - 10

Aquaria
Welcome to Aquaria. The name Aquaria conjures up images of the sea, well unfortunately someone in records office was dyslexic, and reversed the tail on the 'g' in Agraria (as in Agrarian) and could not be changed. As a result of their quetzalcoatic name they play up how little surface water there is, with a yearly water festival. However, as the early settlers found out, the large amount of rain that Aquaria gets, being close enough to the mountains to get the rain when the clouds climb, but far enough away to enjoy not being bogged down in mud, Aquaria has become quite the apt name for this community. Lake Aquaria sits at the base of the Aquarian Valley. I-96 cuts the corner on its travels between Libran and Sagittaron. The freeway thankfully helps to contain the heavy industry in the Southeast Corner of the city. Downtown Aquaria along the Southern Shore of Lake Aquaria. The New Seattle Monorail passes by assisting in reducing roadway traffic. SR-960 and SR-017 intersect in the rural farmland, with just a hint of commerce. A close up of Lake Aquaria, showing Melulose Beach along the Eastern shore. UTR3 travels through its own right-of-way, in a trench, to best provide service possible. The New Seattle Monorail travels North to Rosenberg in a loop to provide quick access for residents work in off-site industrial areas. Minor survey marks occur through the field in the East of the shot for a planned extension of Oak Rd. Some new commercial developments are occurring between the monorail right-of-ways. SR-963 connects Aquaria with Rosenberg. - 10

SLB 12 Update
REPLIES Simul8ter8, terring, NMUSpidey, 111222333444, PatoKiller96, escilnavia - Thank you all for commenting! I really appreciate it. I agree with you all, the Eternal Commuter Loop Bug is a huge bummer in an otherwise great game. The Carter City Bearcats Baseball Club is off to an amazing start in the SLB 12 season! The team was victorious against the Stalina Pirates on the road last weekend, the clubs first professional league win. Their next game will be the Bearcats home opener at the brand new Montano Park Baseball Stadium, on the outskirts of the city. Recently constructed, the city had to spend almost $200 million dollars to build this new, state-of-the-art facility. During the offseason, the Bearcats fans were ecstatic when superstar pitcher Johnny Russell was signed for 3 years for a huge sum of $33,180,000 USD. He was quoted as saying that he, "enjoys the city and the fans in Carter City," and that he will, "enjoy playing for the Bearcats Organization." - thanks, canadiansim - - 4

Hello! Welcome Back! Today we will be visiting Capricorn Island, and Southern Capricorn Island, both are just a few miles east of Ohtoan Island! We will start off with Capricorn Island! Capricorn Island: The bustling city life can be fabulous in Capricorn Island! For the small area of Capricorn Island, there are many skyscrapers and high-rises. There isn't that big of a population since there isn't much room to build on the island, but at night the population can increase up to 200,000! For an island less than 3 miles long, that's huge! Capricorn City, the only city inside the island, is a wonderful place to visit. The beautiful parks, the dazzling lights, the crazy nightlife, and of course the best seafood in Ohto. Capricorn City is also the capital of Ohto, holding the Capitol Building, also called Port Tower, seen below in the link. http://imageshack.us...1333855508.png/ Capricorn City is also known for its outstanding school system. Many students graduate from PokeUniversity, and become amazing Pokemon trainers. Although there is no gym here, there is one just a mile away on Southern Capricorn Island! Let's look at SCI now! Southern Capricorn Island: Also called Univosa, SCI is mainly just an island holding the last Pokemon gym it takes to enter The Pokemon League, but there are a few residents and businesses residing on the island. Most people from Capricorn City refer to them as "Trashy", and "Rude". Which, can sometimes be true. There is an Ohtoan Car and Passenger Ferry outlet planning to be built here, but residents on Ohtoan Islands are sending complaints to the Governor in Capricorn City about how "Those SCI citizens will turn Ohtoan Island into a living crap-hole, and may steal all their Pokemon". Here are some more pictures of Capricorn Island: http://imageshack.us...1333855350.png/ Just an aerial view of the capitol. http://imageshack.us...1333855400.png/ A neighborhood on the seaside, next to the famous Art Deco hotel, where many famous celebrities and Pokemon Masters have been known to stay at. http://imageshack.us...333855418y.png/ Another neighborhood, near Anitiaey Park. http://imageshack.us...1333855462.png/ A nice photo of Capricorn City's Downtown District, where the drunks and party fanatics go to rock the night with loud music, and plenty of hard alcohol. http://imageshack.us...1333855430.png/ The Ohtoan Car and Passenger Ferry outlet of Capricorn Island. Now some photos of SCI: http://imageshack.us...1333855540.png/ Aerial view of SCI. As you can see, the Pokemon gym takes up the majority of the land. http://imageshack.us...1333855525.png/ The nicest neighborhood of Univosa, showing the Chicago influence of Ohto. http://imageshack.us...1333855559.png/ A less pleasant neighborhood near Lain-Barn Bridge. Well, that's it for now! Thanks for reading. Please leave me some comments, I appreciate them. It may be a while before I post another City Journal, because I have to build the next Pokemon region first! It will be called "Goshane", by the way. Thanks for reading. - 3

Update 27: Mackay Park
I know this is a shocking site yes, I have an update...First time in quite a long time, atleast it seems so to me, I'm used to updates every week or two and I'm going on a month without an actual update but here she be, Mackay Park. For those familiar with Melbourne, it's designed to have similar assets as Albert Park and Melbourne Park and is in conention to host Simlympics XVI. Just as is in Albert Park, a racecourse winds its way through Mackay Park, going around Mackay Lake. But along the far side, along the straight between turns one and two, is West City Stadium, a 67,000 seat Engineering Marvel which would host the Opening Ceremonies of the XVI Simlympiad. While the centerpiece of the event is the Northern Wheel, a Ferris Wheel aimed at the Northern Pole of Adonia, between Park Arena and West City Stadium. But neighboring Park Arena is another marvel, the Mackay Park Tennis Center, anchored by Lachlan Holtze Arena, Court 1 of 9. Along the North edge of the actual park is JC Haszler Stadium, which would host Athletic events for the Simlympics. Mackay Park Cricket Oval and the Pearson Road area of town. But the Mackay Park Train Station is the main way to get into and out of Mackay Park. - 18

Welcome to Anderson Bay!
Anderson Bay is a natural harbor of the Alanson Ocean, located on the west coast of Merduria. The region around Anderson Bay remains sparsely populated; Emperor Norton I of Merduria first opened this area to settlement fifty years ago, and to this day it is a primarily agricultural region. (if Anderson Bay looks like the San Francisco/Oakland Bay area, that's because it is--the base map for this is phuzzy3d's ). The "major city," as it were, of the Anderson Bay area is Gary. With a population of roughly 2,100, Gary is the only incorporated community in the region, and is the hub of all activity. Boasting both a Home Depot AND a Wal-Mart, as well as a Pizza Hut(!), Gary is clearly a metropolis in the making. Mayor Harold Hill is certainly proud of his community, and urges you to come visit the weekly performances on the bandstand. Once they can budget the money for it and build it, that is. South of Gary, you'll see the Peabody-Prine Coal Company's Big Green Muhlenberg mine. Coal from this mine is shipped via Mr. Peabody's coal train to feed the Anderson Bay Power Cooperative's Gary Plant. Currently, ABPC Gary consists of a single generating unit, with a capacity of approximately 8 GWh. -

The City of Miller
Miller City Miller City is the largest and Most important financial city in the country. The city has an urban population of 500,000, and with the largest Metropolitan area in the country, with over 2.3 million people. 3 of the 4 largest Banks in the country are located in the City, as well as some of the most important industries and companies on the plant. The city was originally settled as a fishing port, but quickly grew into an important stop over for ships bound for Europe and the US. Miller maintained a british identity until 1845, when Portugese, Dutch, and Irish immigrants began arriving. In 1861, The Northern United States came in and brought the first railroad, transforming the city from a sleepy port into an industrial powerhouse and financial center for the country. Lured by the promise of work, European immigration increased, and distinct neighborhoods within the city began sprouting up. in 1921, in an idiotic attempt to help the city solve its financial problems, the federal government annexed the surrounding towns to the city, then dumped them onto the city of miller, allowing the city to make major changes to traffic and networks. However, this action enraged the local towns that were displaced, as they lost their identity and became residents of Miller. Although this is why the city has a logical grid pattern and functioning metro transit network, it also has led to an extreme amount of anger towards the federal government, which still exists to this day. Downtown Miller The Urban Area and its Suburbs around it The City center is located in between the ocean and a tidal basin. The city erected a series of seawalls to prevent the basin from flooding and washing away the higher parts of the city. Miller Hall of Justice, built before the city grew so rapidly, its now been eclipsed by the surrounding mega corporations. The Miller, Fairfield, and Coal Hill RailRoad. In 1903, the city's suburban tram network, simply called the trolly, was merged with the Miller Rapid Transit Company, to form the Transport for Miller Organization. At the time, the Miller, Fairfield, and Coal Hill was going into bankruptcy as a result of de-industrialization, economic problems, and general mismanagement, and so Transport for Miller purchased, and merged it with the Port of Miller in 1912, 20 years before the nationalization of the railroads. As such, it is the only remaining railroad that was not absorbed by the national network, and retains its own name, tracks, and rolling stock. In 1956, Transport for Miller was renamed into the Port Authority of Miller City, and consolidated into a new building directly adjacent to Miller South Station. The Port Authority of Miller also maintains control of the City Heliport and Miller International Airport. South Miller used to be the second biggest industrial port in the country. However, when the nation fell into the Depression, South Miller got hit particularly hard. The South End never really recovered, as traditional textile, steel, and heavy manufacturing turned to new factories in electronics and other high tech machinery, which is located towards the more technical city of Dalton. However, South Miller remains a proud, and distinct neighborhood. South Hill, the highest point in the city of Miller, and the heart of the South Miller Neighborhood. Factories and Artist lofts alongside the South Miller Viaduct. More Factories The Hall of the City. in 1774, the British Built Fort Seawell, a large fort strategically located at the north of the settlement of Miller. When the revolution swept the British away, the federal government occupied the former fort, declaring it "Fort Independence" However, after angry citizens demanded that a new capital be built to appease the diverse nation, the federal government left. Fort Seawell sat largely unused until 1860, when the rapidly expanding City outgrew its former home at Independence hall (now the Hall of Justice). Today, it houses most of the cities functions, except for the Port Authority and the City court. Miller North was built as a beach resort for families wishing to escape from the pollution and overcrowding of the city but didn't have the money to make it to Pawtuknet Island (the traditional Summer Resort). Its the only beach resort in the miller metropolitan area one can get to by subway. West Shore Station. Across the bay from Downtown miller are the west shore neighborhoods. These neighborhoods were former railroad ports but to solve traffic and financial issues, the city forced these terminals to consolidate into the massive new Miller West Station. From there, passengers would board the ferry and be delivered directly to multiple points in downtown miller. The Volmer Trolly was later added, tunneling under the bay and allowing passengers to hop on the subway directly from their trains Miller Southwest. When buisnesses started running out of space on the island, they quickly moved West to the area around the Station and Miller Southwest, where land was comparatively cheap compared to downtown. Chelsea Park. Formerly surrounded by a traditionally Dutch Neighborhood the region has gentrified and now is mostly American Ex-pats and recent college graduates Now for some random shots of the city University of Miller, the second oldest university in the country To leave Miller behind, we leave with a few images of the city at night. and finally, a region view. Miller City will have lots of suburbs, an airport, and another distinct city within the metro area, so stay tuned A personal Request... I am aware that there were vacant lots and other errors in the photographs. Something within my city was causing the save feature to randomly delete objects from the city, and so that is the reason for their existence, I request that you do not bring attention to them, unless you have a suggestion as to how to fix it -

Update 8: Lakeview revisited
Replies ggamgus: Yeah I have a tendency to forget to turn the grid off. JGellock: Thanks for the tips. Welcome back. After a few crashes to my browser i have finally managed to post the update. Notice the new banner at the top. This will be featured in updates from now on. This particular update is focused on the development of Lakeview. After feedback from you guys from the 6th update its back with more things to boast. Instead of keeping this town small i opted for the big town feel complete with small skyscrapers. Suburbs and farms have been staring to grow and a small, unrealistic airport has been built. Let's start off with the airport. Here is a zoomed out shot from the News at 7 chopper. Grass parking is the only available and the small terminal can only hold 3 planes at a time. I know its unrealistic having the tail's of the planes over the taxiway but pilots are just very careful! Other noticeable things are the widened road to having a turning lane and the ACT (Airport Control Tower) alone in the grass. Here is a picture of the 3 gates and the terminal. Now we head into town to the rapidly changing skyline. Also featured is the quiet, peaceful park and stadium. Bicyclists and pedestrians ride and walk in harmony along the paths with some bike only paths also. The two historic towers are exact replicas of the historic towers found after the wars of Xian in 1902. The originals to ruined governments agreed to take the towers down and rebuild them. Lakeview stadium is the baseball stadium to the top. As mentioned before the skyline is changing. Here is a perfect example. Once restricted by the outer tram line (look hard down right) sprawl has taken over and skyscrapers have been built. Another shot of some skyscrapers. This mix of residential and commercial towers blend in. How can developers resist? With the beautiful beach and lake beyond on one side and the City Park on the other prices can reach $5,000,000 and office space is almost at $500,000 a floor! Only the rich live here. Now going north-west of the airport an industrial park was zoned. High tech industry is most prominent this side of the freeway and all satellite and communications are done here. Also over on the other side is the labs of Hugle. They have invented many of mutated animals but most aren't released for fear of evolutionary changes being too fast. Also farms have reached the labs. Now to have some more farm shots. But not only farms have taken up space in Lakeview. The outer town is bordered by beautiful suburbs. Here are a couple of pictures of them. Seem the same. Think again. These two pictures are taken from opposite sides of the lake. And to finish off this rather large update here is an overview. Don't forget to comment, rate and 1+ if you think so. I value your feedback greatly so comment if you want to help me more. Thanks. - 11

Year 3, the doctor's in.... and so is the teacher?
Replies: Fbi123.... I'm taking this opportunity to tell you I'm not responding to that question because I honestly would not be able to hold my tongue and not hurl insults about your intelligence... thanks for reading, well no I can't really say that because it's pretty obvious you chose not to read. A/N: To those of you who are reading this for the first time, go back.... read all of it, it'll take you about 3 minutes tops and it will prevent dumb comments from being made. For those of you who are just not clearly getting this, this CJ is not a "look how pretty this picture is" CJ or an "I'm going to write a really bad political thriller and use SC4 to illustrate" CJ. The premise of this CJ is to write a a CJ based on the premise of PLAYING SC4, this is after seeing the comments made on the discussion board about the new SC5 coming out that people wanted a game that involved micromanaging and serious work instead of the over simplified "facebook" games like SCS. This is what that CJ plays toward, if you came here to gawk at pretty pictures and then comment on my CJ like I'm posting spam about enlarging your dick because I don't fill the screen with pictures full of custom content go away please. For those of you who are patient I promise custom content will begin to insert itself into the CJ as the city grows and evolves. As year 3 of Hausville's existence began the major controversy was about the problem of water pollution effecting the health residents of the town. Mayor George Haus was tasked with lowering water pollution. After looking into solutions for the problem Mayor Haus put a 13% tax increase in order to pay for a new water treatment facility. The vote failed (and was backed up by those of you who voted here at Simtroplois, thanks for voting) and mayor Haus was sent back to the drawing board. After discussing the problems with local residents it became clear that the issue was not as much the pollution but the fact that the residents health was suffering because of it. A health clinic was proposed to be built at a 1% tax increase. The proposal passed unanimously in a town wide vote. *place holder* (I took a picture of the wrong thing) After completing the issues with the health of the town residents Haus turned his attention toward the growing commercial sector in town. With almost 200 jobs being created by in the commercial sector the Mayor sat down with business owners in town to look into ways to continue to build the growing sector. After a few meetings Mayor Haus came back with another small tax increase of 1.2% to build and manage a small elementary school to get simple writing, and math skills to the children of Hausville. After the tax increase and the construction of the med clinic and the elementary school the budget of Hausville has changed greatly since the previous year. The margin of error has been decreased down to $3 (giving a $72 rainy day budget) Coming up: Year 4 Cops, Robers and Main Street - 4

The Mercer Inlet
This is an update about the Mercer Inlet, a little body of water that makes up the area where most of San Lorenzo's seaports and various nautical things are associated. Below, you can see a mosaic with Chinatown at the top, and showing the industrial area along the inlet and even a small glimpse of the international airport on the other side of the water. This area used to be very dirty and undesirable, but urban gentrification brought on by high-tech industries is slowly making the area livable, and also quite expensive. On the other side, by the airport, is a Naval submarine base. Although not nearly as useful as the much larger naval base in Redwood, this place still serves as a reminder of the past. San Lorenzo was once a major Pacific port for building ships during World War II. There's also another nearby naval station, located in close proximity with the city's cable-stayed Mercer Bridge. Farther east along the Mercer Inlet are quiet suburbs with desirable waterfront property. Many of the neighborhoods along the waterfront are located near high-tech industrial areas, which has made real estate prices skyrocket. Thanks to the city's strict environmental codes put in place in the mid 1970s, the water quality in the inlet has drastically improved, and people can enjoy swimming there in the Summer. Last, but not least, a mosaic of the port and nearby city. Unfortunately it looks like it's going to start raining! Thanks for reading! - 69
