  1. ASN Co Sydney

    Version 1.0.0

    1,679 Downloads

ASN Co Building, Sydney, by Mattb325. --------------------------------------- The ASN Co building was completed in 1885 in a building style known as 'Pre-Federation Anglo Dutch'. The building served as the main offices and warehouse for the Australasian Steam Navigation Co until 1889. Between 1889 and 1989 it was used as government administration offices. This prominent landmark on Sydney Cove has been used as an art gallery since 1989. It is heritage listed. This historic building is a stylish addition to any industrial/waterfront area: it is provided with 3 options to allow maximum flexibility. The first option is a 2x4 ploppable IM with overhanging wharves. This option allows you to use any suitable seawalls and ploppable ships of your choice (as in the pictures) and ties in with the building's historic function. The second option is a 3x4 Reward which functions as a tourist trap and provides jobs, boosts desirability and lifts demand caps, etc, etc. It does not require any pre-existing conditions to be met before placing the lot, nor does it over-write any existing rewards and it can be plopped as often as you like. The third option is a 4x4 IM growable anchor lot. Stats for each option are listed below. --------------------------------------- STATS I-M Ploppable: Lot size : 2x4 Bulldoze Cost: $694 Plop Cost: $10,590 Jobs: IM 334 Pollution: 20 (Air)/ 13 (Water)/ 4 (Garbage ) Pollution Radius: 9/13/0 Power Consumed: 21 Mwh Water Consumed: 300 Gal/Month Occupant Group: Landmark; IM; Anchor STATS Reward: Lot size : 3x4 Bulldoze Cost: $30,460 Plop Cost: $0 Demand Satisfied: R$ 160,000, R$$ 160,000, R$$$ 20,000. You must select the appropriate file from the download. The file suffixed with 'DN' is for those users with a night-time darkening mod installed. The file suffixed with 'MN' is for users who do not have any such mods installed. If you are unsure whether you have a night-darkening mod installed, then choose the Maxis night version. If you use the dark nite version, you will need a dark nite mod. 2. I have never built a proper port before in SC4 and I'm seeking advice about what to do before I start. Here is the location I have to work with -I have plenty of room to landfill the water to the north if more land is required. Region view showing it's location And it's connecting rail and highways ----- What should I do to start? Do I have enough room for stuff? What downloads would you recommend to build a good looking port? I have only used the Maxis seaport since 2003. Thanks for your help in advance!
  3. Maxis Seaport Stage 3 Re-lot

    Version 1.0

    2,387 Downloads

The Seaport Re-lot file is based on the stage 3 seaport as saved from the Maxis Lot Editor. I could not save and load either stage 1 or 2. The maximum capacity was realized for stage 1 in-game but no upgrade was automated. There are 2 lots in this zip file. One lot is the seaport at stage 3 as is, and the 2nd lot is the expanded version I made using the Lot Editor. The user interface of both lots report about 50% efficiency, but neither reports any usage of capacity. NO DEPENDENCIES MAXIS SEAPORTS According to the BSC Seaport Controller "If your seaport funding is 100%, and the usage exceeds 95%, the seaports will upgrade on their own." BSC Seaport Development Project Version 3.1 https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=1663 However, with the PEG CDK Seaport Controller also installed, no such effect was realized. As well, prior to installing either the BSC or PEG mods, the seaport did not upgrade automatically. Following is a list of resources used in the creation of the preview images: Drunken Water Mods, The Blues and Greys. In HD! PEG CDK3 SP Container Seaport 110 Lighthouse 2x2 Lot Pack 1.0.1 Stanley Seawalls 1.0.0 BSC Ploppable Ships (v1.0) https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=2406 Container Carrier 1 PEG CDK3 SP Ploppable Ships Pack 1 1 Authentic Shipping Containers 1.0 Neither of the 2 lots in this zip file replace the in-game stage 1 seaport and will appear in the seaport menu with their own unique icons. The stage 1 seaport should be used as the primary seaport for the purpose of moving freight. The stage 3 lots are intended more for the purpose of creating an active and visually complex seaport.
  4. I've been working on a new map - the coast is actually outside the 25 playable tiles, but there's a deep and wide river into the middle of the playable area. Should I draw the shipping lane up the river and into the tiled area? Also, is there a maximum distance to place ferry/ship terminals from shipping lanes? Or a maximum distance from flight paths for airports to function?

FANTA1990 Presents: A new look for the intermodal shipping containers appearing mainly on the Maxis seaport but also on many other custom lots, automata, and props. By definition, the containers are designed to be moved from one mode of transport to another (from ship, to rail, to truck) without unloading and reloading. Thus, with every trip their painted steel exteriors endure repeated assaults from salt water, brake dust, and graffiti. A crucial element that the Maxis textures fail to illustrate. Frankly, the default coloration is more suggestive of Lego blocks or a shattered rubik's cube. Fanta's exhaustive sampling eventually yielded a remarkably authentic texture available in two different color combinations to suit individual tastes. They each replace the cartoon like surfaces with a much more refined HD texture that works with both hardware and software acceleration. Since this is essentially an automata reskin, there are no dependencies and no configuration is required. This mod will boost the authenticity of any loading dock, but is indispensable when absolute realism is paramount. Required (Choose only one): Container Skin-96.dat - Installs a subdued version of the original textures with a visible pattern of wear Container Skin.dat - Installs a more distressed look befitting of dirty industrial zones Optional: Original Container Prop.dat - Includes default container props that are compatible with the above textures Container Prop_dcc5b702.sc4lot - A demonstration lot for use in the Lot Editor *** For the latest updates and other spectacular creations by Fanta Soda, visit his homepage on SimCity China at the following URL: http://www.SimCity.cn/thread-99303-1-1.html Fanta has taken considerable measures to make his site accessible to English speaking users. However, I encourage you to exploit the automatic translation features available in browsers such as Chrome and Firefox, or one of many Add-ons for Internet Explorer. Mandatory registration will unlock Fanta's downloads and all other custom content on SimCity China. One login prompt and two verification screens may seem excessive, but are well worth it. Since Fanta spends considerable time manufacturing custom mods, he specifically requested my assistance publishing his work to the mainstream English speaking audience. All credit and responsibility for this download lies solely with Fanta Soda. He will personally read and perhaps respond to any praise, feedback, criticism, or suggestions to this post. More impressive works from FANTA1990 will follow.
  6. Shipping Political Havocs and Et Al...

Replies to comments: NMUSpidey: Haha. It's ok. I'm happy it intrigued you but it will take more time before things will actually happen. Richie99: Thanks! I just love writing fanfics and so this CJ is one big fanfic, i also like those characters too. Neto Dari: Thanks! I will definitely have more of those but with more in game images. Houston: Well, it really took time but all those hiatus was due to an exam. It's summer break now and I am happy to be able to spend more time with this CJ. --- Whats up! I bet you have missed my face badly in this CJ. It's been a while that I finally got some time to update this CJ, I mean me personally updating this. Well, I hope you had fun with Kuroko on that Vanilla journey (never mind him, he's vanilla milkshake addict) and never mind the last update too (I mean don't let it sink too much on your minds). We as Teiko officials aren't actually supposed to talk about it. Well, but seriously I am not really sure of that so called transcript and until now it is still a talk of a town. Oh well, let's proceed to the updates cause there is so many of them that I need to share. Okay, so where should I start? Hmmm... First, I was warn everybody that Teiko's currently in a middle of a political havoc, well that actually happens every year but this 2014 is somewhat greater than last year and the last year and the last last year. Why? Because the national elections is coming up this November, well not that I care but most of the Teikonians do (Oh what a bad official am I). Anyhow, speaking of havoc, the Teiko Regional Council (Central-46) had just voted to undergo a vote of no confidence against the head of the council, I bet you must met him during the last update (Kensuke Fukui). I wonder if he will survive. Read more here. Well, one of the issues that is being tackled is the transcript and some even questions his house in Kyoritsu but overall, I think the problem was about transparency of his dealings. Anyhow, this is his house in Kyoritsu. So what you think, it's pretty lavish ei? Fukui Residence, Kyoritsu District taken during the Autumn of 2013. As of the moment, here is the unofficial total count of the votes that was carried out. Meh, I don't like him anway. So who cares? LOL. Well, for everybody's info, it needs 19 votes to vote him out and looks like we are inching closer to it. I'm not happy okay, I'm just excited, no I mean worried, yeah worried. Moving on to other updates, I will be talking about shipping and since I mentioned shipping, I immediately drew this picture out.... Himuro Tatsuya and Kagami Taiga from Kuroko no Basket. You'll meet them here in this CJ very soon. Okay, just Kidding! Maybe not this type of shipping, LOL. I might have drunk some alcohol again. When I said shipping, I'm talking about this! Teiko is the heart of the the United SimNation's logistics industry and to prove to you the worth that title, here are some of the developments that has been going on around town. These are just some of the major port of entry in Teiko Metropolitan Area. Let's do some throwback shall we? Remember when Port of Kaijo was two separate identity that I wonder why is that so? And those sloppy slopes was such an eye sore? Okay, here are some of the images, I knew you might have a hard time remembering it. Former Port of Kaijo Former Ferry Terminal of Kaijo District Well, recently, the District Council of Kaijo led by Yoshitaka Moriyama (a cool best friend of mine ) just did some major renovations and look at Kaijo's port recently. I mean, this is a total makeover! I was from Stepford Island last week and when I went home, I was totally shock. Hats off to my friend for making the impossible happen. Let me present to you, the new Port of Kaijo. New Port of Kaijo Closer look of the port and the cargo bay. Cargo port corner. Ferry passing by the new Port of Kaijo. Newly renovated ferry terminals. Speaking of ports and shipping, all these are currently controlled by the Ministry of Trade and Industry headed by Namikawa Reiji and the Ministry of Transportation, administered by Furihata Kouki. So if you have plans on opening business here in Teiko or exporting your products to our small city state, it is pretty much welcome but word of advise, we don't do smuggling here. So drop by by their office located at Teiko Special Economic Zone in Hayama Island, Kirisaki Daichi. MTI Center, Hayama Island, Kirisaki Daichi Speaking of opening businesses and opportunities, Kaijo is really improving well into drawing a lot of investors. Believe it or not, that old district is bringing in the first Mama Peyton's Greasy Spoon in Teiko Metropolitan Area. That restaurant is famous for its burger and is one of Peyton-Stepford-Troy landmarks. Drop by here for some awesome food but beware because the line is long! Mama Peyton's Greasy Spoon Logo Mama Peyton's Greasy Spoon beside Buffalo Grill, Downtown, Kaijo District I know Teikonians are exited about this new restaurant. Everything you do is fine, just please don't eat like these two. Two of the first customers of Mama Peyton's Greasy Spoon. Going back to shipping, so one port does not actually make a lot of difference right? So here is another one. This port is located at Takao Industrial Park, this is the largest privately owned industrial park in United SimNations. Two thousand years ago (actually its just a few months ago), this place also look like a total mess... yet it is highly productive. Here is another throwback. See how messy that place on the left is. That is Takao Industrial Park before. So Takao Industrials, the sole proprietor of the business park also went some major renovations. So looking at the new port facilities and land expansion, it is expected to bring in 10,000 industrial jobs. Also, see that tall building in the middle? Don't worry it is not misplaced, that is Takao Industrials HQ and out of the blue, they just want a highrise building. Now, Takao Industrial Park boasts a very well organized industrial friendly location. Port of Takao with the cargo bay and two of the largest factories currently constructed in the industrial park. Ferry is bringing in workers from all parts of Teiko to the industrial park. Clsoe up view of the Port of Takao Terminal 1. Last but not the least, I hope you are not tired of all these seaports. Nozomi was a sleepy town of 2,600 people and this piece of land here was barren except for the road connecting Takao District to Kogomo North. Now, the very awesome Yami Bakura (I like his style but I don't like his personality, he's evil!!) had developed this land into something else that even I'm having a hard time assesing. A barren land in Nozomi with the TNK Road passing though it. The current land now has high quality seaport facilities, it even has its own port authority office. Well, being in the middle of Teiko's most populous district and largest private industrial park surely has some of its perks. Nozomi Industrial Center as of yesterday. Port of Nozomi with the ferry terminal. Close up with the Port of Nozomi. Ferry boats carrying workers. On the right is Akashi Seijuro bridge, the longest bridge in Teiko. (Going up leads to Kogomo North, Going down leads to Kyoritsu). These are the new ports and newly renovated ports in Teiko Metropolitan Area. For the record, they are really bringing in a lot of industrial opportunities in Teiko. After all, Teiko is the leading manufacturing and technology center in the United SimNations. As a proof the strong businesses we have here, our own homegrown Industrial Illusion is soon making an appearance in Stepford Island with a construction of a 50 hectare production facility. Construction of the mega production site of Industrial Illusion in Stepford Island. Well, I guess that's all of it. Oh, I forgot something. This one is really one of my personal favorites. Site of Teiko National University in Kirisaki Daichi. Those grid lines are part of the construction protocol. I'm really happy to see the construction of a new university in Teiko and not just any university, it is a national university - Teiko National University. I'll update you more about it soon. Oh don't worry I'm still loyal to my alma mater, University of Kaijo. It is still the best school in Teiko. Well, I hope I have quench your thirst for some awesome update. I will be back soon to bring you more. (If I wouldn't be called in for any event again). Great day or night ahead! Wait before I forget, (how many times do I have to say this?) all those names in hyperlink will lead you to their profile. Try clicking it and see for yourself. Cheerios! THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THE UNDYING SUPPORT, SEE YOU NEXT TIME! TEiKO. IT'S MORE FUN HERE! Disclaimer: Some pictures are not mine, all of them are credited to their rightful owners. 7. So, I have two raw ore extractors in my city. My two trade depots both are full of ore, and I've told them to export. Adjacent, I have a city ABSOLUTELY STARVING for ore. Once every few days, I'll get a SINGLE truck of ore. This is really frustrating, and I can't figure out why it's doing this. No other city in the region is importing ore.
  8. Two questions: My processor factory is importing alloy and currently has two delivery trucks, why is it not producing any processors at all? Secondly, I have a cargo freight facility built at the airport. I hold the cursor over buildings and they say freight is shipping well. How come then has my airport never shipped out any freight?
  9. I have a trade port. I have a passenger station. I would like them to work together and get the supposed rail shipping. I have rerouted my rail line to go to the trade port. I have added a 2nd passenger station right next door to the trade port. I cannot get them to ship rail. I am not seeing any upgrade options. Is there something else I should be looking for? This is an industrial town and I have set it up to make most of it's money that way and I am currently hemorrhaging money trying to ship via rail. THANKS!
  10. Anyone who goes into trade, rather it be for buying and selling, selling freight from factories, oil, ore exc exc, will know that in the trade menu under city specialization, the menu displays the modes of transportation in use, available, and unavailable. The three modes are Roads, Rail, and Ports. My question is, how do you ship via rail? There is nothing, from what I can tell, under trade nor mass transit but when highlighted it says Available. I have searched high and low on Google and the Wikis and can't find jack on the subject. If anyone knows, please tell me. -- Regards, 1Veteran1
  11. Gennsey,Genns County, Preview

Here is the Preview to Gennsey, on the edge of the Ohio Great lake and a huge shipping yard situated to the south of Gennsbourough. It's the main industrial power in Genns County and ships over 500 tons of Steel within the county every day, and is home of the Sonton Fishery, the largest fishing corporation in the midwest. It employs 10,000 people within the county up to Canneate and the steel industries involve over 40,000 within the area. It's also home to the Gennsbourough Browns and the Lower-Gennsey Mets. The SS "Gennsey Isle" passes underneath the Chooklyn bridge next to the US Steel complex shipping yard with the "Bambi of Ohio" docking to bring in 4 tons of steel and over $1,000,000 dollars of Canadian products.

The Vandy Shipping Company has been bringing your industrial goods to market since anyone can remember. Everywhere you look, Vandy trucks are chugging by with a load of cargo going somewhere. Peer out into the harbor and you are sure to see at least one of their cargo ships loading local freight for transport to some distant port in the region or beyond. This is the first of the new CDK3 industrial lots and its loaded to the hilt with every goodie we can pack onto it. Its a ploppable IND-D lot with jobs... transit enabled for street connections... and packed with shuffling props that move, come and go throughout the day. The lot features 2 new ships models, the S.S. Trolca (pictured above) and the company's flagship, the S.S. Vandy. You will see both of these sturdy vessels tied up to the dock at different times. The various cargos and trucks are all random props... and also shuffle throughout the day... generally winding down and disappearing in the evening. The warehouses are not "nite-lited" to reduce model size and resources... but they are illuminated at night by little elves with flashlights that we hired to hide inside them. You can't see them but trust me... they're in there. This lot requires 3 fairly large dependency files... which are: - PEG-CDK3 Resource Pack 1 - PEG-CDK3 Ship Pack 1 - PEG-CDK3 Vehicle Pack 1 This may seem like a lot... and yes, you could say this lot has "dependency issues"... although I personally wouldn't because its an awfully bad joke. But keep in mind that this is the first lot of a whole new CDK style and those dependencies contain the core components and props that will be used by many, many new lots. * The dependency files are available in the CDK section of the PLEX. All Pegasus files are now legacy content and are no longer officially supported - however support from the wider community can be requested here.

Well, first of all, that's an old BAT that I'm now releasing. This one belongs both to my chapapotex and my harbor series, don't worry, you can query it ;-P Stats: Menu: transportation, seaports Cost to plop: 2000 Monthly cost: 50 Size: 3x8 (the pier overhangs) Shipping company: Chapapotex (Gasol Corp.) The pier is an overhanging prop lodded, so the water bug won't appear As you should know, I don't like dependencies so: -NO dependencies-
